Disable autocorrect in iphone
there must be a way to disable auto correct suggestion. It is a nightmare when messaging in another language.
No there is not.
You should, however, make sure that you touch the word it suggests to dismiss it when it comes up so that the iPhone "learns" not to suggest those changes.
It takes three of four dismissals before it will stop suggesting the word.
It takes some time, but it will be worth "teaching" your iPhone in the longrun.

I'm an user from the new iPhone 3G, but I have a problem, I'm from Barcelona and here we talk catalan!
All the iPhones here, only use the predefined languages and the most used here is spanish.
Writing with the iPhone was a problem, because all the time you have to reject all the words and spend a lot of time correcting the phrases we write.
Please we need one of this options:
- Make a catalan dictionary
- Make an option for disable dictionary
- Make a dictionary with self-learning, that learn all we write

It is obvious that for people that need to write in catalan (most catalans, valencians people from the balearic islands do write in catalan often even though they also use spanish), the iPhone is useless. Our society is highly bilingual and we cannot just stop writing our language because Apple does not support it.
I bought an iPhone in France, were I live. I was disappointed when I discovered that it is compulsory to use a dictionnary to write with the on-screen keyboard. At that moment, there was'nt even Spanish (a highly used language in the USA). So I only could use my phone to write to my English and French speaking friends, but not to most of my Catalan and Spanish speaking friends and family.
But I thought that, when the phone would be sold in Spain, Catalan and Spanish would be added. This should be expected by anyone that knows the bilingual areas of Spain.
But not. The version 2.0 of the iPhone did not include Catalan, nor a blank keyboard which I could train. Why? Doesn't Apple know that most human beings use more than one language in their everyday life?
It is URGENT for Apple to find a solution for all these people that want to write on the iPhone with not supported languages. This is not a problem just for catalan speaking people. The wold is full of languages and you should understand that I'm not going to write to my mother in another language than my mother tonge because Apple (contrary to Google, for example) is not able to acknowledge the multilinguism of the World. I guess that most people would do like me. -
How to reset my Ipad if I can't disable Find my Iphone?
I forgot my restrictions passcode, so I went to try and reset it on my computer. However, Itunes says that I need to disable Find My Iphone on my Ipad. So I go to the settings, and I find the Icloud tab, but the restrictions prevent me from opening it. Is there another way to reset or turn off Find My Iphone?

I'm getting the error message "Photos folder syncing has been disabled for the iPhone <my iPhone> because the folder "Pictures" cannot be found." lately.
Normally, all I do with photos is move them from my iPhone to my computer's (Windows 7) hard drive. I do this by connecting the iPhone with the cable, a box pops up on the screen asking me what I want to do, and I choose "Import pictures and videos". I've previously selected the "delete photos from the device after move" option (or however it's worded...), simply because I don't want this device to fill up with photos.
Lately, it has been importing the photos fine, but it won't delete them from the iPhone. This used to work just fine, now it doesn't work and I don't know what changed, if anything. In iTunes, I get the error message I list at the beginning of this message.

You have two issues. First, to disable Find my iPhone go to https://icloud.com/find, log in with your Apple ID and password, erase the phone, then remove it from your account. You can then restore it.
If you have a recent backup of the phone either in iCloud or on your computer you can restore the backup after restoring iOS on the phone. If you don't have a backup you will lose your data. -
Feature suggestion: bi-langual - need hotkey to disable autocorrect

Having another native language selected for keyboard layout also decides the autocorrect language.
I am Danish, but every day I will use english as well. i cannot describe how big a ******* pain the native autocorrect is, when trying to write in english.
Since the iPad does not recognize me writing another language, the suggestions are idiotic. Many of them not even in my own native language.
Therfore please: it would make the user experience so much better, if you would include a hotkey in the keyboard layout to enable/disable autocorrect. It would even make it bareable that you included words like mé and dó in my native language autocorrect. These words do not exist. They are however very persistent when trying to write in english.

You can have more than one keyboard layout selected in Settings > General > Keyboard > International Keyboards, and if you have more than one selected then you will get a 'globe' key at the bottom of the keyboard that will allow to switch between them, and therefore have a different language for auto-correct. -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

LeanneIf it works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone then try logging out of your account on the phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

There is no way to do that. To have the right autocorrection apply to the right language, you need to switch between keyboard layouts.
