Disable Canvas Scroll Bars?

This seems a simple task.
Is there a way to turn off/disable the scroll bars of a
canvas?
Thanks
Mathias

That seems to simple. I looked through all of the attributes
and did not see that.
sorry for asking the obvious.

  • I can't disable the scroll bar in Mavericks

    I can't disable the scroll bar in Mavericks. I go to System Preferences>General and I select the option "Automatically" or "When scrolling". I close de System Preferences and re-open and the option selected is "Always", ever. I don't want scroll bar in my page every time, but just when I need.

    Ok, try this:
    Go to Finder
    - in the top left to the right of the black apple, go to "GO"
    - then hold down the option key on your keyboard
    - and go to library which is between the home and computer
    - in there, go to a folder called "preferences"
    - in preferences, find com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    - take that file and put it on the desktop
    - after that, restart and try to disable the scroll feature again

    This is a VERY OLD known problem with the product. The solution
    is to put your content canvas on a stacked canvas and give the
    stacked canvas scroll bars. Then disable the windows scroll
    bars, otherwise you'll end up with 2 sets in Client/Server
    mode...

  • Scroll bar stuck on Thumbnail view

    Whenever I am using the scroll bar to scroll in the thumbnail
    view ,which is set to large, the scroll bar gets stuck. When I
    place my mouse on the bar and move it up and down it does not stop
    and jumps to different places in the thumbnail view - I can't seem
    to control it. I have tried turning on the libary and clicking
    around in it, but this does not fix the problem. The only solution
    I have found is to shut Captivate 2 down and start it again. Any
    suggestions?

    Hello queenlooners,
    I spoke with some of my colleagues and unfortunately there does not seem to be a way to disable the scroll bar. There have been other discussions on the forums such as overlaying the scroll bar or embedding it in a sub-panel.

  • Scroll bar is missing

    Hello,
    My horizontal scroll bar is missing and disabled. Ive tried using overflow-x:scroll, overflow-x: auto, all of it. The scroll bar appears but is disabled. It works in Chrome and IE
    What's up. Why would you disable the scroll bars? This makes NO sense.

    I see very similar results in IE8 and Fx14. Both have a scroll bar at a certain width and then as I expand the window (this is a 1440px display) the scroll bar vanishes. The width where this happens is slightly different, but not by much.
    Please note that pop-up windows may display differently than regular windows. The script code for the pop-up can remove certain controls from the new window such as scrollbars. If you think this might be what's happening, you can force scrollbars in popups using a hidden preference.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''window_open''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars''' to switch its value from the default of false (don't disable sites from hiding scrollbars) to true (prevent sites from hiding scrollbars).

  • Disable Mouse scroll

    Hi,
    I used a snazzy bit of kit to disable pdf scroll bar called pdf layout - that's great because i want to force users of the form to navigate via buttons i have on my pages designed in livecycle.
    Trouble is, you can still navigate down using the mouse wheel!
    I have searched for some javascript and found this, but this does not seem to work.
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function stop()
    return false;
    document.onmousewheel=stop;
    </script>
    Anyone with an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks Niall,
    That's a work around I've been trying to do this morning as seems to be easiest solution, but when I change next page to visible in my button, then  add next action on button to either "next page" or the next page number, livecycle goes to the page after the one I have just made visible.

  • Scroll bars on a tab canvas

    Hi
    when I run my forms the scroll bar on the tab canvas is disabled. How can enable it?

    hi

    u try adding few records to the block and check for the scroll bar.....

    perhabs you can create an item which is disabled and no level and not visible and has the same width and heigth of the scrollbar or bigger and if you want to set the toolbar not visible set the item visible.

  • Scroll Bar Enable/Disable

    I need a code that will enable and disable the browser window
    scroll bars when the browser window is resized smaller than my
    MovieClip (800x650) and will disable them when the browser window
    is bigger than the movie clip.
    I have my publish settings set at 100% and becuase of this it
    does not allow the browser scroll bars to be enabled/disabled.
    Thanks In Advance For Any Help You Can Provide!

    The scrollbar can be placed on a separate stacked canvas, the same dimensions as the scrollbar. Then the canvas can be shown or hidden.

  • Scroll Bar on Stacked Canvas [Solved]

    Hi,
    I am trying to do the following. I have a form FORM A. Another form FORM B is called with a click of a button on FORM A. FORM B is having 2 blocks each on a stacked canvas. BLOCK 1 is master block and BLOCK 2 is detail block. Table on which BLOCK 2 is based on has 200 columns. Below is the property set for this block.
    1. Number of Records Displayed: 1
    2. Record Orientation: Vertical (To see 200 columns vertically).
    Now issue is that only 20 records (columns actually) are displayed in the viewport. And user has to tab out to go to next record (column).
    I want to put a vertical scroll bar here so that user can scroll down. I am not sure how to achieve this. Will scroll_view work in this case?
    Forms Version: 6i
    Thanks and Regards

  • How to make the scroll bar in flex automate to focus on the new ui component added in the canvas?

    Hi all ,
    There is a canvas container where am adding charts in separate windows.
    So whenever a new chart is added the scroll bar needs to set the focus on the present chart window.
    For this i made the functionality for the canvas container to scroll whenever a new chart is added using the below code
    canvasContainer.verticalScrollPosition = canvasContainer.maxVerticalScrollPosition;
    But the calculations for the vertical position are not precise...
    Is there anything else I should do to make the scroll happen automatically as the chart windows get added in the container ??
    Any suggestions pls
    Regards,
    Ajantha

    Hi ViswAmmu,
    >>Please help me out to get transparency for path in canvas to view background image in canvas.
    If I'm not misunderstanding, I think you just need to loop through all Canvas.Children and set Opacity property for them:
    private void Image_MouseLeftButtonDown_1(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
    //Loop through all children items
    foreach(UIElement v in CanvasPanel.Children)
    v.Opacity = 0;
    op.Title = "Select a picture";
    op.Filter = "All supported graphics|*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.png|" +
    "JPEG (*.jpg;*.jpeg)|*.jpg;*.jpeg|" +
    "Portable Network Graphic (*.png)|*.png";
    if (op.ShowDialog() == true)
    ib.ImageSource = new BitmapImage(new Uri(op.FileName));
    imgBackground.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(op.FileName));
    CanvasPanel.Background = ib;
