Disable clamshell/external only feature?

I frequently have an external display connected and use both laptop and external display. Sometimes when I leave my desk for a bit I close the macbook to sleep. No problem so far.
Occasionally, when I return to my macbook and wake it by opening the lid, it wakes to just the external monitor only. I figure this is because the mouse gets jiggled enough while sleeping to wake it, it assumes only the external monitor is required because the macbook is still closed, that's the way it's supposed to work. But it's a bit annoying, is there any way to turn off the clamshell feature so I always come back to two screens?

Your MBP's waking up immediately after being closed, without your doing something to cause it, is *not a feature of clamshell mode.* In clamshell mode, the expected behavior is that the machine will sleep when the display is closed, and you will then wake it and bring the external display into operation *by pressing a key on the external keyboard.* If you don't do that, it stays asleep. So clamshell mode doesn't need to be disabled to stop the behavior that's annoying you, because that behavior has nothing to do with clamshell mode.
Instead, you need to determine which of the devices you are using with the MBP is interrupting sleep. This is nearly always caused by a USB device that doesn't understand sleep, and tries to communicate with the computer while it sleeps — which causes it to wake up. It may be your keyboard, your mouse, an external drive, a printer, scanner, ExpressCard device, Bluetooth cell phone, or even an SD card in the built-in card reader, if you have one. So first turn Bluetooth off and close the display to test for a change in behavior. If the MBP still wakes up a minute later, that wasn't the culprit. Disconnect your other peripheral devices one at a time, testing again after each disconnection, until you discover which device is responsible.

Hi everyone.
Is there any way to disable "clamshell mode" and avoid my MacBook Pro waking up seconds after I close the lid?. I always use my MBP17 with a magic mouse, usb hub, external monitor and plugged magsafe but using both screens at the same time. I just would like to close the lid and enter sleep mode while I go away from my mac for five minutes without having to unmount drives, unplug magsafe and turn off mouse. It's crazy!!. I still can't believe there is no preference for that.
I know thats the wanted behaviour for using the external display with the macbook screen off but I just wanna send my mac to sleep for God sake!!

Office Web Apps - how to disable office web apps features for one web application

ENV: Sharepoint 2010 farm with office web apps + fast search
I have the requirement for one web application to open all its documents in client applications - I can enable feature "OpenInClient". This web application uses team site template and other web application also uses team site template. ( feature
stapling ruled out) Now I can run powershell cmdlet to enable this feature on all the currently existing site collections. But the requirement is to enable this feature for all the future site collections. This web applications has 60 k site collections
and atleast more than 10 site collections get created each day and they dont like the option to run a powershell script each day to activate this solution.
Is there any other way to by default activate new site collections on this WA to open in client applications by default (can we disable this office webapps features only on one web app)?

Disable Auto Orientation only in a specific frame!

I appreciate if you please guide me with your experience in Mobile App design.
My App contains 5 frames of data (movieclips), that each frame has 2 designs:
1- Stand mode design    (portrait)
2- Wide mode design     (landscape)
So far it works great and I have published my App both on Google Play and Apple Store.
Frames structure is as follows:
frame   1            Loads External Data
frames 2-6         Each frame contains 1 MovieClip designed based on mobile "Stand mode"
frames 22-26     Each frame contains 1 MovieClip designed based on mobile "Wide mode"
(Example: contents of frame 2 and 22 are the same, also 3 & 23 ... 6 & 26)
(frame 2 is STAND design, 22 is WIDE design, and so on)
In "Air Setting Dialoge", I have selected aspect ratio "Auto" and "Auto orientation".
And I have this code in Frame 1 to do the rotation trick:

Well, and finally my question:
1- Is this way I have programed my App to rotate, a proper approach?!

   (for example I want the app Not to auto oriente in Frame 6 and 26., but it rotates in other frames)

Why would you want to disable SMTP Authentication? What are you attempting to achieve by doing this -- what is the problem you are trying to solve?
We are an ISP and therefore sometimes required to send bulk mail, for which we are currently using perl bulk mail module script and there we specify the users in text file to send message, everytime this module try sending it get Mail Relaying denied as it doesnot supply user and passwd required for smtp auth in base64.
Therefore I wanted to disable smtp auth for an ip address using which smtp auth is not reqauired and mails should be openly relayed.
Why are all of the above entries commented out? Did you intend to disable (break) the tcp_intranet channel?

No I do not want to disable SMTP auth for everyone.DEfault is it should be forced to all except from one ip. ie disable smtp auth only for an ip address.

Regarding disabling the Pushdown SQL feature in Data Services

I have created a mapping using decode function for replacing the original values in legacy system to new SAP values specified. The mapping is showing no syntax errors, but while executing the job, it is saying that there are no sufficient priviliges in the source database to perform that query. That mapping query that I wrote is being pushed to source database where there are no sufficient priviliges to execute that query,
Can you suggest me a way to disable that pushdown SQL feature so that I can be able to eliminate that error?

The query that is getting pushed to database is the decode function used in the mapping to change the values. It is saying insuficient priviliges to execute it. I removed that mapping and kept in an SQL transform while fetching data from the source and it executed successfully. I didnt understand how it could execute the job successfully when I put the same mapping in the SQL transform rather than putting it in a Query transform.

Cannot disable the tax-only calculation in a AR Credit Notes document

When trying to raise a tax only credit the following error message appears "Cannot disable the tax-only calculation in a AR Credit Notes document that was based on another document"
I have two lines specified in the AR Credit Note screen both with a tick under the 'Tax only' column.

Just to confirm you there is no option for this. If you have created the invoice(base document) for that then you cant change it in target document..
Other wise you can do one thing while copying it in target doc. just select customize option in copy from--> draw document wizard & select the right items you want.

And have you tried the nvidia blob? It could be that this is not well supported by nouveau. Maybe check up with their IRC / mailing list.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to disable drag and drop feature for a document library.
Drag and drop in SharePoint 2013 is a feature that depends on HTML5, which requires version of browser, SharePoint by default doesn’t has feature to disable or enable this.
You can try disabling the drag and drop feature by disabling an add-on in Internet Explorer, or
using Internet Explorer 9 or lower.

Attach Operation is disabled in READ ONLY MODE - solman_setup error message

I am in the phase - Connect Diagnostic Agent of the Solman_Setup for Solman 7.0 EHP1.
I don't have any managed system connected yet.
When I try to attach the SMD agent in the SLDAgentCandidates screen...I get two messages as detailed below:
2011.04.13 20:14:12, Managing System 'SL1.SystemHome.sol' is registered in the SLD, Customization of Managing system settings is disabled but it is not a problem to attach the agent.
2011.04.13 20:14:12, Attach operation is disabled in READ ONLY MODE. The current logon user is not a member of Administrator
Please what am I doing wrong because I even gave full authorization (SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW) to user SLDAPIUSER and i have also tried with a few user accounts wilth full authorization like J2EE_ADMIN and my SOLMAN administrator.

You get the ead-only message because your connected to the local SLD. You need to connect to the productive SLD.
But the other message (Customization of Managing system settings is disabled) I get also. Did you solve it already?
