Disable DHCP on my iPhone?

When I first got my iPhone it connected to my home wifi fine. Now when my internet is working fine on my PC, as soon as I enable wifi on my iPhone it causes the internet to drop out, and I get a message about there being an IP address conflict. From what I have researched so far, I believe it is because both my wireless router and my iPhone have DHCP enabled, which can often cause IP address conflicts.
How do I disable DHCP on my iPhone so I stop getting IP address conflicts when connecting the iPhone to my home wifi?

Hmm i don't think the router is the problem as I have 2 laptops and a windows phone working on wifi, so it is definitely capable of assigning more than one IP address... If anyone else is havin this problem I did solve the problem by enabling Wi-fi in general settings and then hitting the blue arrow next to the network I was having issues with... Dhcp is the default setting, but I wanted to disable dhcp for this particular network and assign an ip address manually... You do this by selecting the static option, then copying all details from the dchp section into the static section... The only thing I changed was the last digit of the ip address... Changing it from a 4 to an 8... All the other settings I kept the same and now my wifi is workin perfectly on the iPhone and still working on the computers... Has been working for 12 hours now And hopefully will continue to work!

But i think it is just a brigde, hence your DHCP server is external to the device.
So you have nothing to disable so to speak:

Cannot disable DHCP on ACS

I cannot disable DHCP on a Cisco Secure ACS. I am consoled into the device and run "set ip", choose "yes" for static IP and enter my IP information. However, after save, network test, etc... DHCP is still enabled and grabs an address on reboot. Anyone seen this or have ideas???

Hi, I had a similar problem on the Appliance (Ver 4.00). After the initial configuration I had to reboot and then re-enter both the IP and hostname. You also have to make sure that when you set up initially that the device is connected to the network. The re-entering the IP address was a TAC recommendation. Hope this helps.

You might be able to re-enable your account via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
For your security questions, if you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't have access to the email account, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 - you can also try this link to get your account re-enabled if the above doesn't work.

Firmware update 7.5.2 is breaking workaround for disabling DHCP server

If you are using the trick described here (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=121990) to disable DHCP, you should know that after upgrading to 7.5.3, it will not work anymore. Downgrade to 7.4.2 makes it working again.
If somebody from Apple is reading this (and is interested in feedback, which I doubt, because there's no such option on the Support pages) - would it be possible to add an option to the AirPort configuration which would allow DHCP to be turned off (while NAT stays turned on)? Hmm, while typing previous message it gave me the following idea (and it worked)
Since i am using a mac mini as a server ( Debian, sorry ) it also has wlan, i set up the server so both are connected (eth0 / wlan0). Default of the dhcp server is to listen to all interfaces and voila DHCP for the wireless devices.
Hope this can help someone, without the need for downgrading your APE.

Somehow (I think) I managed to partially disable Safari on my iPhone 3GS. I can browse to any URL, however, after the page loads, I cannot scroll or "click" on any links. Safari and Restrictions settings are OK--not causing the problem. Any other suggestions?

How is this behaviour in 7.5? It's weird because in the individual interfaces you might change the value, but it doesn't get accepted. So it still seems that it's a global setting... but then: why showing this item to be changed on each interface?

You're going to want to force it in recover mode thent o restore the device, unplug it from the computer, hold down the home button replug it back in intil you see the Itunes symbol with an arrow pointing towards it

SRP541W Disable DHCP

We have an SRP541W on which I thought I had disabled DHCP, its turns out that in fact I haven't. After seaching again for the DHCP on/off funtion I found it under the Vlan settings (Wierd place to put it I thought).
The Router has a static ip address on the LAN side of 192.168.1.254 and is connected to a Cisco 2700 series on the WAN side. Our network DHCP is served by an SBS 2011 server hence my reason to switch off DHCP on the router. However when I select Static IP address from the Address Type in the VLAN settings and try and save the changes I get an error that is IP Address / Subnet Mask value is illegal. Great but why when the router has and IP address assigned and the subnet mask is set do I get this error. On the VLAN settings page there is no option to set an IP Address

That seems strange. When you select static IP address, the screen should update to allow you to set the new address and mask. See below:
Your image seems to suggest that this isn't happening (as we still see the DHCP Server dropdown).
The error is being presented because you haven't entered a valid IP address - which of course you can't, as you don't see the entry box!
Could you try a different browser? Out of interest, which browser have you been using?
