Disable email wizard on startup

Hello and I am sorry if this question has been answered, but I could not find the answer after searching in all forums.
I successfully configured my email accounts (had a hard time and had to also look in the forums for workarounds since there is an issue also for this) and everytrhing works fine.
However, every time I switch on my E52 the email setup wizards starts and is asking me to setup my email. What I want is that wizard to stop appearing everytime I turn my phone on.
After searching in the forums, I found similar problem from various people but nobody with the E52 phone.
Please help!

If you have already set-up the e-mail successfully (i.e. its working fine..) just un-install the e-mail setup installer to stop it asking again and again..

  • Can't set-up scan to email wizard

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500A910 and trying to set-up the scan to email wizard.  The error message I get is
"Cannot connect the server.  Go back and correct server name and address".  I don't know where and what
the server name and address is and should be.  Can you help?

    Hi mulan200032,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you have received a connection error message when trying to enable the scan to email feature of your Officejet 8500A A910 printer.
I am presuming that you have connected the printer to your wireless network. There are several steps I would like you to try please.
    Please turn off your printer.
Please turn off your router.  If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please unplug the power cord from the router.
After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn on your router (or plug it back in).
After the router has completed its startup routine please turn on your printer.
After the printer has completed its startup routine, please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots on how to do this.   Don’t worry that the screen shots show a Officejet 8600 printer, the steps are the same.
Please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there is no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
Please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • How can I disable email notify in UCM workflow?

Using <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$> in entry events of workflow steps I can disable email notify. But I need to disable this email in contribution step too.
    Is it possible?

The contribution step cannot be modified, so it is certainly not possible by the means of using <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
Note also that emails in the contribution step are by definition sent to authors when their content was rejected, so it might be quite advisable to give them a note.

  • Message+, Disable email feature?

I tried out Message+ on my Note4, and the ability to open the Message+ app on my PC and respond to text messages without typing on my phone is great.  I vaguely remember the app asking me if I wanted to respond to texts via email, and before I realized that there was a desktop app, I said "sure, that sounds better than being limited to typing on my screen!"  Now I'm stuck getting an email delivered to my inbox for EVERY message I receive.  I would like to disable the feature, but I can't seem to find it in the PC app, web app, or Android app for Message+.  Could someone tell me where to go to disable emails when I get texts?

Thank you for the response.  In the Messages+ desktop program, I go to Settings, then to Notifications, and the only options I have are:
I don't see anywhere in the options to enable/disable email.

    I already tried these steps:
    1. msconfig > uncheck the service

Unfortunately it enables it itself again, everytime.
Google couldn't help me with this issue.

  • N97 Email wizard starts every time I switch it on!

Its driving me absolutely nuts.  I've upgraded my firmware to V.12 and it still happens.  I have one email account registered but it just seems to want more - How can I stop it??

The icon is a little pink "@" with email written under it, and if you delete it and want it back just use the SW update and choose nokia messaging 10.0.
When you've deleted it, go to the messaging, options, settings, email, mailboxes, and choose define mailbox. This will start the email wizard and hopefully it'll only ask you once!

OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages - Apple Support
Google Mail recently implemented additional security measures "for your protection" of course. The manifestation of that may be the requirement to create a unique, "application-specific" password for each one of the various Google services you may use. That requirement probably includes Google Mail. So if the above Apple Support document doesn't resolve the problem, research Google's application-specific password requirements, and how to configure Mail to use it.
I asked the Hosts to edit or obscure the email address in your post.

  • E72 start email wizard on each start up !

    hi dears,
i bought a N72 and i find it very nice phone at start. but after i config my phone and upgrade firm ware to last version, it show mail config wizard each time i turn on my phone. i try to delete short cut of email wizard from my screen, switch between personal & bussiness mode. delete my internet connection , .... but it dont stoped !   i try to define a fake mail to it may be it can solve my problem, but didn't help but make a change . wizard start and automaticaly closed !!! other features of phone work perfectly. please guide me to solve this problem.  thanks a lot.

Same issue here: after firmware update the phone started the configuration wizard after every boot. I had a hard time getting my Gmail Box to sync again after the firmware update anyway so I erased the Gmail box and set it in back a few times already and the prompt of the wizard finally disappeared.
Now, instead of the wizard, at each boot there is a window saying "checking installed components" that runs for a few seconds and then disappears. Not sure if that got anything to do with it.
Unfortunately my Gmail box keeps disappearing from the phone from time to time and I usually get it back by rebooting the E72 ! I don't have such a problem with the Exchange email.

  • Disable email from cron

    Hello all,
I run run arch on a VPS and have sSMTP install with gmail as my SMTP server. The VPS is OpenVZ based and not 100% correctly configured on my hosts end of things as an end result every time a cron job runs I get this "Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method" error output emailed to me. This is of course annoying because of roots crontab entry's for system daily/weekly etc folders.
I have attempted to disable email from cron via both of theses methods with little success. Appending something like &> /dev/null does not work for me because of the volume of crontab entry's. What I would like to work is the MAILTO="" trick but it just does not seem to. I put MAILTO="" right at the top of my crontab and kick the service but I still get outgoing email from cron. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

I do wish that Arch baked in cronie or fcron but I guess I am a strange *nix user because I like to work inside the confines of the way the distro is setup by default.
After some work it turns out you can disable email in dcron. As the dcron man page shows -M is a switch that allows custom mail handler substitution. So to disable email from dcron edit the $CROND_ARGS; line in /usr/sbin/crond and add -M /dev/null.

  • How can I disable emails, alerts, and notifications sent from iCals which I subscribe to?

My wife subscribes to one of my iCal and uses it to know when I have class or am indisposed. I use my school calendar very heavily especially the To dos. The problem occurs when she recieves hundreds of emails generated from my constant updating of my calendar and To dos. We want her to recieve updates but not of the To Dos. How can she opt out of the To do list, the emails, and the constant updating; once daily would be enough.

    What phone?
You would need to disable data on the phone itself.  You wouldn't do it online on your account.
Note also that text messages do not count toward your data allowance.
