Disable friendly http error

I want to disable friendly http error in firefox. I have followed steps in this link:http://firefoxmobile.co.uk/firefox-tips-tricks/54/how-to-turn-off-friendly-http-error-messages-in-firefox/, It works for earlier versions of firefox, however it doesn't work for the current version that I am using 3.6.6. Anyone know how to do this?

Internet Explorer - "Show friendly HTTP error messages"

I have configured a servlet within web.xml to handle exceptions, and my servlet is indeed triggered when an exception occurs.
My users are all running Internet Explorer. By default the advanced setting "Show friendly HTTP error messages" is enabled, which causes them to see an ugly MSIE error page rather than my carefully crafted servlet.
They could see the awful exception pages Tomcat was handling out previously, which is why I set about making this change in the first place.
I believe that Tomcat was not adding an error code header to the exception page it was handing out on my behalf, but now that I've taken over exception handling the response contains a code 500 response. (My best guess, anyhow.)
I was going to simply strip this code out of the response, but upon inspection of the HttpServletResponse object, there is no method for doing such a thing.
Is anyone familiar with this issue? Can anyone recommend a solution?
Meanwhile, I'm off to continue scouring the forums before I start Googling again. =)

Well, those "friendly" errors have to be based on the response code for the page. So if you have your own error handling returning a page, then you could return a 200 response code with whatever error content you want.
For all practical purposes, the response code isn't very useful to users or browsers except for a few special ones maybe. But just because it's an error page to your web app doesn't mean it's an error for the browser. Those error codes are really meant for the HTTP protocol.

Turn off "Show friendly HTTP error messages" programmatically

If IE's Show friendly HTTP error messages is on, HttpServletResponse.sendRedirect("<web site address>") doesn't work for some <web site address>. Can we detect the setting or is there a

I click on a link inside an email and it won't open so I can print the coupon, response is http error 400 or I have it blocked. Others in my area aren't having any problems with the same link opening but they are using IE. What's up with Firefox?

All my friends have done it but I can't. I get various error messages including : "HTTP error 400 - the request is badly formed".... or you have a blocker set.....
Unless it is a Gmail/Firefox blocker or firewall, I don't have anything set up as a blocker on my email. Had a few friends go in my account on their computers and they had the same thing happen. However when they go in under their names they get to the link with no problems. HELP.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

HTTP Error 403 - Customized Error Page Display Issue

Hi,
I have included 403 in <error-code> in my web.xml and defined proper security constraints. But when I try to access my JSPs directly on Mozilla I see my error page but I try in Internet, I can't see the same page.
Can someone help me?

Http error 403 while using servletrunner

Hello Friends,
I am getting the above mentioned error(Http error 403- forbidden) while trying to connect to servlet runner running at 8080 in my system. I downloaded jsdk2.0 and trying out some examples. Am I supposed to get a page once I try http://localhost:8080?

have a look to the file web.xml in your webapps WEB-INF directory.
here you have to define the servlets

depending on what server you use the url http://localhost:8080 will return the servers "welcomd page"

THE PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND - HTTP ERROR 404

I have just installed i-WEB 08 and have tried to publish a web page. I have saved, as prescribed and, to my knowledge, there are no passwords associated with the web page. When I try to access the page using SAFARI v3.0.4 the following error message appears:
"The page cannot be found. The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please try the following: Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly. If you reached this page by clicking a link, contact the Web site administrator to alert them that the link is incorrectly formatted. Click the Back button to try another link.

I have checked address is as supplied and tried adding my user name to the www address without luck. Friends have also had same error message.
Can anyone supply an answer, please.

Were there any warnings or errors during publishing?

CSS 11501 Disable plain HTTP to VIP

Hi,
How does one disable plaintext http access to the VIP of the 11501. In other words, is it possible to have the device listen _only_ on 443 and not on port 80 for incoming requests? We are do not want to provide plain http access to the VIP which is handling SSL encryption/decryption for our backend servers.

take a look at the config in my post 'Sticky Situation with CSS-11503'
We are set to only take https traffic inbound and gets routed through the ssl module for decryption, http traffic gets an error msg if it hits the css.

ClickToCall: "http error occured"

When launching a call from outlook, internet explorer, ... We get "http error occured. Please contact your administrator". When I look at the cowebdialerprovider log, I fund the following error: "SOAP returned unsuccessfully, with error: 29".
Anyone an idea what this can be? I have nothing found in the log files on the CUCM server. We're running version 8.6 of cucm and the Click to Call application is version 8.1

Here you go:
Go to Internet Explorer --> Internet Options --> Advanced,
Disable "Check for the Server Certificate Recovation" (Third from the end),
Click Ok,
Restart IE,
Verify that the CUCM certificate isn't revoked:
Go to Run --> Certmgr.msc --> Intermediate Certification Authorities --> Certificate Recovation List,
Make sure CUCM certificate isn't in here.
Now, test some calls.

HTTP Error Code 405

Hi I am new to web design and just started learning
Dreamweaver 8 and have hit a little bump in the road. I have been
following a book (Dreamweaver 8 Unleashed) as a teaching tool and
have come to the point in the totorial where I need to connect a
database to my web page. I'm running on windows vista premium with
IIS 7, ASP.NET, and Microsoft Access 2007. I follow all the steps
to connect the Access Database but when I try to test the
connection string, I get an HTTP Error Code 405 Method Not Allowed.
I have tried to use my limited knowledge to try and solve the
problem, but am all out of ideas. If anyone could help me solve
this problem I would be extremely grateful. It's really frustrating
to be stuck like this and not able to move forward.

I've installed BO XI R3 SP4 on a 2k3-server with IIS 6.0. I wanted to configurate the SSO. After changing the web.config file and restart of the IIS , I get the following error :

Internet Information Services (IIS)
The frame where you normally are using for authentication has this error, the frame around is normal.

HTTP Error 500.0 with CF 9 & IIS 7.5 32 bit enabled web app

I have recently installed CF 9 64 bit on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 with IIS 7.5. I have just set the 'Enable 32 bit applications' option on the application pool settings to 'true' for one of the sites as I have some web pages that make use of a 32 bit COM DLL. I originally had this option set to 'false' and all of the web pages in my site were being served fine with the exception of the ones making use of the 32 bit COM DLL.
The details on the error message from IIS are as follows:
HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
Detailed Error Information:
Module: IsapiModule
Notification: ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler: AboMapperCustom-75500
Error Code: 0x800700c1
Most Likely causes:
IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.
Things you can try:
Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.

I am not sure if the error is permissions related or not.
1. How do I rectify this error and still keep the 'Enable 32 application' option turned on so I can call a 32 bit COM DLL ?
2. In general, can the 64 bit version of CF 9 even invoke 32 bit COM DLL's on IIS 7.5 or should this only be done with the 32 bit version of CF 9 ?

Difference with CF10 is you can use CFadmin to change postparamlimit setting.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

Oracle epm 11.1.2.2 http error

I installed (personal installation) and configured 11.1.2.2. Installation was successful. Configuration only partly successful as most of the errors point to http error and unable log on to workspace. It brings up a java.net error.
Can you help please?
