Hi,
I have been never used the MySQL server as a database. But I advise you that instead of copy the myodbc folder in new environment (in step 1), you should install the My SQL server database drives in new environment. As you will install the drivers, some entries of this installation will go to registry.
Also registered your database server on Hyperion Server via RSC.
Hope it will help you.

  • Output only the Interactive Reporting document in an IR job/output?

    Hello,
    I have created an Interactive Reporting job using the File->Import->File as Job. I have walked through the various screens to supply oce connection information, output directory etc. The output however, shows up as a Table of Contents - 1) Interactive Reporting Document 2) Interactive Reporting Document (Web Client) 3) A HTML file that contains log information.
    Is there a way to specify that only yhe Interactive Reporting Document be generated and placed in a target directory of choice?
    I don't want to produce an output everyday and have my users open up the Table of Content and have them pick the document. I just want the document output standalone.
    Thanks in advance.

    Wasn't there an Acrobat issue that affected this as well? Make sure that is updated, too.
    While I'm on it, this is being viewed in Acrobat/Reader, right? Anything else, especially Mac Preview is a bit of crapshoot.

    Hey there,
    That happened to me when I had an & sign in the page title name. If you have some weird symbols in the page title, try changing them. Then it will work.
    PS
    Make sure in the title name and page name there are no weird symbols.

  • Manual Tabular Form Generation in Interactive Reports

    Dear All;
    I used the following statement to generate a tabular form in an interactive report region;
    SELECT
    id No,
    apex_item.text(1,C1,3,4, ,'f01_#ROWNUM#') C1
    from test_table
    The no of items on the form depends on the number of rows in test_table. However, I am unable to reference the individual cells in the form. it turns out apex is using the same id for each row( f01_#ROWNUM#) in the generated source code and is not substituting rownum for the row number (eg. f01_1 for first row, f01_2 for second row generated in a normal report template). Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug? I am running on apex 4.0.1
    Any assistance will be greatly appreviated.
    Benedict.

  • Interactive report - strip HTML

    Hi,
    Where is the option to strip HTML for an Interactive report? Is it possible to set this option for each column?
    N.B. This setting can be found under Layout and Pagination for classic report.
    Thanks,
    Louis-Guillaume
    Homepage: http://www.insum.ca
    Blog: http://insum-apex.blogspot.com

    Louis-Guillaume,
    Because we allow filters on the actual column values, strip HTML is not possible as an option for interactive reports. Any changes to the column values should be done inside the query.

  • Basic question in interactive reporting

    Hi
    I'm a kid in IR, I installed IR Studio 9.3.1 , and I even installed IR web Client from workspace, Can anyone tell me how to login in to web client, I mean I need web address. If my question is wrong ...let me know how IR works , where you develop(I guess obviously in studio) , is there any webadress like planning.
    I appreciate if any one give some basic Idea.
    Thanks
    M.V

    You do not need to "log-in" to webclient. As I suppose (you installed webclient) you are allready logged in to workspace and you only need to import an interactive reporting document (bqy) into workspace. after that you just have to rightclick on the file in your workspacefolder and choose if you want to open the document in html or in webclient. when you choose the client, the plugin will open and you can use many of the functions you also have in the studioclient. in html you only have very few options of editing.

  • Interactive reporting using web client in Hyperion Workspace

    Hi all,
    I was trying to create a new interactive report using following process:
    1)Logon to Workspace using browser
    2)File -> New -> document
    3)select the option: "Create interactive reporting document"
    4)Browse for .oce file
    5)Click finish, once the .oce file is selected.
    After these steps:
    Initially I was getting message regarding checking web client status...
    this was taking lots of time so I cancelled the process and restarted from step 1.
    Now, after step 5, I am getting a file save option showing source of file as server of the Workspace.I am working on a local machine and accessing the workspace product through web browser.
    If I save this file in local machine I don't get an option to open this file from workspace using :
    File -> open -> document.
    and alternatively if try to open this locally from the machine I don't have proper application on my local machine.
    I am badly trapped in this viscious circle.... Kindly help.
    Also, it will be gr8 if somebody could suggest some link for understanding the process of creating a new interactive report , using web client on workspace.
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi all,
    I got to know that import and export option is available with "user->reports" and "file in report folder" respectively, when we go for Explore option.
    So storing to local machine and retrieving it back is no more a problem.
    But still I have hardly any idea as to how to start with interactive reporting in Workspace using web client.
    If any of you come across any such tutorial on interactive reporting using web client on workspace please tell.
    I come to know that Interactive reporting studio is available for interactive reporting purpose: any of you please tell me if "reporting and analysis client.." available on oracle edelivery is sufficient for interactive reporting studio or we need to install something specific for working with Interactive reporting studio.

  • Open document from interactive report

    Application Express version 4.0.2.00.07.
    In apex I am trying to accomplish the following:
    1. create a link to a pdf or Word document stored on local network using the file browse button.
    2. store the link to that file in my table but not store the actual document in the oracle table.
    3. open the document from link in interactive report.
    My dba does not want to store anymore documents into oracle because of performance issues we are experiencing with current applications that do this. Does anyone know the where to find sample code that will accomplish this task or will load the linked document into the oracle table but delete the document from the blob when the document is closed.

    You're probably looking to use the BFILE functionality - a pointer to a LOB on the filesystem.
    Try looking at some of the following sources for guidance

  • Remove HTML from Interactive report download

    I have interactive reports where the column link on a specific column has to be dynamic, that means, it cannot be hard coded in the column link attributes. The following is an example of one such report query:
    case when d.object_type_description ='Business Service' then
    '< href="f?p='||:app_id||':183:'||:app_session||'::::P183_OBJECT_ID:'||d.id||'">'||d.object_name||'</>'
    when d.object_type_description = 'Real Time Event' then
    '< href="f?p='||:app_id||':162:'||:app_session||'::::P162_OBJECT_ID:'||d.id||'">'||d.object_name||'</>'
    else
       null
    end as "OBJECT NAME"As you see in the above example, the link on the "Object Name" column could either redirect to page 183 or to page 162 based on the "Object Type Description" column.
    The column attribute of the "Object Name" column has "Display Type" set to "Standard Report Column". That works perfectly fine in the UI of the report. However, if I download the IR data (in any format) from the Actions -> Download menu, the object name column values are downloaded with the HTML characters as:
    < href="f?p=15548:183:6072319179284::::P183_OBJECT_ID:255245470513999672860510787772603748464">JP010000</>where JP010000 is the object name.
    Is there a way I can strip the HTML from the column values in the downloaded files?
    I am using Apex 4.1.

    Rohit,
    You can define the link in the query, make it hidden, use the value as column link URL. So, your query will look like the following:
    d.object_name,
    case when d.object_type_description ='Business Service' then
        'f?p='||:app_id||':183:'||:app_session||'::::P183_OBJECT_ID:'||d.id
    when d.object_type_description = 'Real Time Event' then
        'f?p='||:app_id||':162:'||:app_session||'::::P162_OBJECT_ID:'||d.id
    else
       null
    end linkChange the display type of LINK column to Hidden. In column link, enter #OBJECT_NAME# as Link Text. Select URL as Target. Enter #LINK# as URL value. In APEX 4.2, you can do this in easier way by defining HTML Column Expression.

  • How to create a link to a unix document in interactive report??

    on the same UNIX server where APEX 4.2 is installed I have a directory with pdf documents - /d01/apex/docs/mydoc.pdf for example.
    How can I create a link in APEX interactive report to point to the document and allow users to view or download on their PC's?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    In your report source, you should use something similar to:
    Select empno , ....., '<a href= "#IMAGE_PREFIX# ........" >' Download from server '</a>' as "Download" from empWhere #IMAGE_PREFIX# stands for Static resources "i" in your web server. it should be in your case (for Windows):
    C:\apex\imagesYou may need to use CASE Clause for multiple Docs

  • Interactive Reports - how to add a link to a document?

    Hi there,
    I have an interactive report that displays a list of items, I would like to add a column which displays a link for each item in the report, the link should display the Word/Excel document which is located somewhere on our network. The path to the document is stored in the table along with the items. Does anybody know how I can do this?
    Thanks...

    I got an answer from the Edge Commons dream team and I am very grateful to them :
    "The problem that you bumped into was that you hadn't included a valid URL so far. We weren't sure if you wanted to include them within the SVG file or if you wanted to implement the functionality within Edge Animate. We came up with a solution for the latter one, with a simple switch in the js code:
    You have to type in the appropriate URL of course for all the cases."
    I have to share the final result:

    And the zipped project file:
