Disable install questions during remote installation of Adobe Pro 9

I am attempting to perform a remote installation of Adobe Pro 9 on various devices located at different sites.  By using the Adobe Customization 9 I have configured the installation as I need.  The one issue that I can not seem to find a resolution for is: how do I disable the installation questions popping up on the screen when I am conducting a silent installation?  I'm assuming there is an option within the Direct Editor to perform this action.  Where is it located?

  • Installation issues Adobe Pro X as a AAME package

    We have some installation issues with a created Adobe Pro X package.
    This is a new problem, the same package was installed 4 months ago on a similar system (Windows 7 enterprise edition x64) and even on a Windows Server 2008 (terminal server).
    The symptoms of this problem are:
    When starting the .msi (in the "build" directory) the installer starts and disappears after a couple of minutes without a warning or error. You can see in the task manager that the installation was going on but then it stops.
    There is no new directory "Adobe Pro X" in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe" directory.
    I tested this on a new installed "fresh" installation of the Windows environment.
    Do you guys know what to do?

    If the same package installed fine on another computer then we have to check the install logs to determine what might have gone wrong.
    To collect the logs:
    Please install Acrobat via following command line: msiexec /i AcroPRO.msi /L*v c:\logs\acrobat.log
    make sure there is ‘logs’ folder created under C:/ drive

    I'm attempting to remotely install Adobe AIR via SSH on an Apple OS X machine running 10.6.8 (64-bit) when no users are logged in locally. Let's say I remotely mount the latest dmg released for Adobe AIR using the hdiutil command on the desired host.

    Using this post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3795207#3795207), I attempted to install Adobe AIR on the OS X system, but I get the following response back. I am not able to Cntrl+C out of the command once the error message appears. I need to Cntrl+Z and kill (-9) the process.

    _RegisterApplication(), FAILED TO establish the default connection to the WindowServer, _CGSDefaultConnection() is NULL.
    The above command works via SSH when a user is logged in locally (admin or standard user), and it does not interrupt their processes with any prompts. It only seems to fail for machines without users logged in locally at the console.
    Is there a work-around for this?

    Hi Jonathan,
    You've run into a known bug in AIR (internal bug #2827334) however there is a workaround for 10.6.  It's broken again with 10.7 and we've filed an issue with Apple against it.  This command should work for you:
    sudo launchctl bsexec `ps auwwx |grep [l]oginwindow | awk '{ print $2 }'` Adobe\ AIR\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ AIR\ Installer -silent

  • How do I set customized changes in Custom Toolsets during deployed installation on Adobe Acrobat Pro XI?

    I am trying to set settings in the Custom Toolsets, specifically Protection\Redaction Properties - Example:  Changing highlight color and enabling text overlay.  Is there a way to modify the settings for a deployment?  I am unable to find a way through the Customization wizard and am having trouble finding documentation on deploying customized settings to toolsets.

We have couple of licenses which we wish to supply over the installation command line during deployment. However we did not find any parameter or the command line which will allow us to enter the license key during installation.  Has any one succeed in finding the command line where we can pass the license key during installation of this application?

    All the software from previous installation was corretly removed.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    I recently installed Adobe Professional on a user's computer.  This user needs to print all attachments in any multiple attachment Outlook email.  Since installation of Adobe Pro, only one attachment prints when she tries to print all email attachments.  How can I resolve this?

    What happens when you try to open a different attachment and try to print? Outlook (what version on what OS). Any error messages?

    I am trying to install Adobe AIR in an enterprise environment on numerous clients.
    Unfortunately the installation procedure always tries to open an internet connection during installation.
    As all users in our company require proxy authentification for internet access, the authentification dialog of our proxy always shows up when installing Adobe AIR. So the installation can not be processed without any user interaction.
    We would like to install Adobe AIR silently in the backround. So we are looking for an opportunity to disable the internet access during AIR installation.

    You might want to give the Settings Manager a try (located at the bottom of this page.)  However, I suspect the network might still be pinged regardless of this setting.  Please let me know how it goes.
