Disable IPv6 for Parental Controls

So I've realized that my parental controls were being ignored by the computers, at first I figured my son had found a work around to by-pass. But reading through the forums today, I've found that IPv6 being enabled might be the cause of my issue. So I'm currently sitting at work and connected to my router remotely, but for the life of me, can't see where to disable this option. Using the Smart Wi-Fi interface, closest I can get is "Connectivity, Internet Settings, IPv6 but everything is grayed out and no option to edit this.
Any thoughts?

Click "Edit" and uncheck the "Enabled" box on IPv6-Automatic.

If you can't remember your current password then you should be able to get it reset via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
If you know your current password then on your phone you can try tapping on your id in Settings > Store and you might be able to change it on your account's screen, or on your computer's iTunes you can log into your account via the Store > View Account menu option and change it on there

I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable IPv6 for the loopback (lo0) adpater. I know how to do it for other adapters using the Network preferences pane, but lo0 doesn't appear there...

Hi all - I purchased the EA3500 but not sure it's features are the best for my purposes ... one teenager with a number of devices:
pc desktop
smartphone
ipod
macbook
ipad
xbox
I also have an iphone, an ipad, and apple t.v. I want to restrict his access both the amount of time each day and final turn-off time. I've read here that there's a bug re: IPv4 and IPv6>
Also it has to be really user-friendly for me to set up. I'm somewhat computer illiterate (not a techy!).
Recommendations? Thanks much.

TS3288 COmmand prompt to disable Itunes in parental controls

When I open the command line box as administrator and enter the text given to disable the dtorefront in parental controls I am always presented with this line of text in the command box;
C:\Windows\system32>
Whenecer I enter the text Iand press enter I always get this line;
The system cannot find the file specified.
Any ideas anyone??

Make sure you have the right entry for your operating system. Check whether your Windows 7 is 32bit or 64bit.
START > Right click "Computer" and select Properties will give you your operating system un System type.
32-bit: At the command prompt, type the following (including the quotation marks):

64-bit: At the command prompt, type the following (including the quotation marks):

How to disable Query for single controls in a Form Applet?

Hi All,
this should be so simple, but seems like I don't get it at the moment.
I have a Form Applet in HI Mode and want to disable the possibility to Query on certain fields. these are Calculated fields and querying will most likely crash the application due to heavy performance impact. They should be for displaying only. How to do that? I have searched for Applet Control User Properties and such stuff but couldn't find one.

in the meantime I managed to do it using a BusComp Field User Property called "DisableSearch". If you set this to "TRUE" for the desired fields, the user will receive an error message when trying to query for these fields.

Has Apple come up with a fix for Parental Controls?

I've browsed around on this forum quite a bit but haven't seen any real fix for the fact that Parental Controls does not work as advertised (come to think of it, it doesn't work at all). Is there a fix??
I'm using a new iMac with 10.5.2 (clean install). PC has never worked, even when we first started using the machine.
I have 3 young kids, each with his own account. All the accounts are set to 30 minute time limits per day. I have customized the Web Content tab to include some sites that are not objectionable but too advanced for my kids.
Today one of my boys was logged in for at least an hour and a half. I check his Today's Activity log. Nothing there! I look at the Web site he's accessing. It's one of the three that I had specifically blocked! They're only in grade school but the kids have figured out that as long as they don't log off they can stay on the computer all day. This happens on all three accounts consistently. Sheesh, Apple, thanks for making me look like a real doofus in front of my kids!
So, is Apple sending out kitchen timers to all of us Leopard users now, so we can at least have a reliable method for controlling our kids' online time?
If there is a REAL fix out there, I'd love to hear about it?

Apple doesn't come up with High data usage solutions for cell providers.
It is up to the cell provider.

Forgot User Name and Password for Parental Controls

I apparently have forgotten the user name and password for the parental control feature in itunes. How do I recover the information or unlock the controls?

I tried entering the same information as my computer user name and password and it does not work for locking Parental controls. What is weird is I can Log on to Itunes and my computer but it will not lock parental controls. What I am trying to do is keep anyone from changing the settings. Again I enter the same information as my computer but it DOES NOT WORK!!!!

Tears of frustration from my two boys every night as their parentally controlled hour of Minecraft is spoiled by the countdown warnings which HAVE to be clicked - amounting to fatal hesitation in their game in progress.

i dont know about whatsapp or other 3rd party apps 0 they may have setting options to do what you want - but for text messages and Facebook posts you can go to Settings/Sounds and set the sound for those 2 things to None

Sub-accounts on new computer for parental control, access to itunes library

I have established sub-accounts on my new iMac in order to activate parental controls. Does anyone know how I can grant the sub-accounts access to the libraries in the itunes account in the administrative account?

Tried hooking up my external drive to my Mini. This morning my Mini had all my info listed, but I couldn't play any songs, for obvious reasons. Now, my Mini is hooked up to the external, iTunes prefs are set on the path to the external - but there is no music in iTunes. No lists, no songs, nada. Just a virgin iTunes window. ***?

FaceTime will not connect (but rings) for parental controlled user.

I have a parental controlled user setup on a brand new mac mini running Lion. When initiating or receiving a FaceTime call as the parental controlled user, the connection rings, but after trying to connect the call fails. When the mac mini user is a normal user (not parental controlled), it works fine. The parental controlled user has their own apple id / email address. Under the parental controls it is set to unlimited web access.
Any help here would be great.

I need suggestions for parental controls applications for the iTouch!

I bought my sons new 4th generation 8gb iPod iTouches for Christmas. I want to restrict Internet websites and usage since they are only 13 y/o. Someone suggested a free application that apparently is great.....but I cannot remember the name of it! Please help! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
