Disable itunes match

Hello guys, excuse my poor english, im writing from Venezuela, south america.
My problem is this: I recently recive an american (UUEE) credit card, so, i want to configure it as my main purchase method to buy music, movies and apps, but, when i try to change my payment method the program tells me that a have to change country first. Ok, so i go to my account and when i try to change country the program tells me this: "You have an active subscription to iTunes Match, you must cancel it to change store", but i dont find the way to do it, so, what can i do to just change the country so i can configure my new credit card to purchase in the united states store.
Thank you very much for your help,
Juan Aguilera

  • How to disable iTunes Match on a computer other than the one with my main library?

I have iTunes installed on a home MacBook for syncing music, photos etc and iTunes on a work PC to sync calendars and contacts.  iTunes Match is enabled on both. However, I'd like to disable it on my work PC as it slows down my iTunes when I open it up.  When I click "Disable iTunes Match" in the store link in iTunes on my work PC, it appears to want to disable the service universally.  Is this only disabling it on this one device, or universally?  Thanks.

Thanks... took over an hour to turn off the iTunes Match, but it did not effect my home iTunes.

  • Problems Syncing music Manually after Disabling Itunes Match

I recently disabled iTunes match and since doing so I have been unable to manually transfer music to my iphone 4 or transfer purchases from my iphone to my itunes... anyone have a clue to how I might fix this? It's very wierd, it's almost like my computer doesn't recognize my iphone as being assocaited with my account..

Now I deleted all settings and data from my iPad, restored from backup and tried to sync all music again. Now most of the titles are synced. But there are still about 10 title, that do not sync.
If I browse for them on the iPad (in iTunes) the information shows the following:
    Size: Stream
    Data rate: 256 kbit/s
The song in my library is an MP3 with 192 kBit/s. So this information is completely wrong.
For me it seems, like the music library on the iOS devices got screwed up. The question is, how can I reset my music library without losing all the other data on the devices?

  • Songs not syncing after disabling iTunes Match

I subscribed to iTunes Match a week ago and uploaded my library.
Then I enabled iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S and my iPad2.
Yesterday I decided to disable iTunes Match on my iOS devices and synced them with my MacBook again.
    Now the problem:
About half of the songs cannot be synced anymore to the iOS devices. There is no system, which songs are not synced. Some are my own MP3s, some are buyed M4As, some are matched M4As. But there is more: The same song can be synced to the iPhone, but not to the iPad and vice versa. The behavious seems to be completely random.
    Software versions:
    Mac OS X 10.7.3
    iTunes 10.6.1 (7)
    iOS 5.1
Yesterday I upgraded both devices to iOS 5.1.1, but the problem persists.

Now I deleted all settings and data from my iPad, restored from backup and tried to sync all music again. Now most of the titles are synced. But there are still about 10 title, that do not sync.

  • Disable itune match

How do I disable itunes Match on my iPad? With it enabled, my playlists on my laptop to not synch to the ipad. I gather this is not supported for some reason.

  • HT4914 How can I disable iTunes Match?

I recently subscribed to iTunes Match not realizing that I'd lose the ability to manage my music on my devices.  Downloading to my iPhone over 3G is painful so I'd like to disable iTunes Match for my iPhone for starters and I will more than likely do the same for my other Apple devices.

  • How can i disable iTunes match on my new iPod?

I want all my music locally stored on my new iPod touch. I want this so that I do not have to rely on wifi to have access to my music, and so that sonos will work with it.

    Greetings kkdawg,
Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
Congratulations on your new iPod touch. If you want all of your music stored locally on this device, first turn off iTunes Match by tapping Settings > Music and then the iTunes Match on/off switch.
This should allow you to sync music to your iPod touch from iTunes on a computer, as mentioned here:
iTunes Match on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
You can find detailed instructions for syncing music to your iPod touch in this article:

  • Disable iTunes Match on iOS?

Is there a wa y to totally remove itunes match functionality from iOS 5?  I have the toggle for itunes match turned off.
Itunes match/icloud has screwed me.  It has deleted alot of my most used playlists, half my music won't sync right (with Match off), album artwork is missing, the Music app is very slow to respond. etc etc.
I have killed the app, rebooted the phone, just about everything short from a restore.
Do you guys have any recommendations?

I would recommend you to restore the phone.

  • Very strange stuff happening after disabling iTunes Match on iPhone - letter headings are wrong?

So I finally got fed up of Match today when my Music.app crashed and would not open at all.  I've had all the problems with artwork and playlists not showing up then appearing then disappearing again but persevered with it as I had paid and waited ages for upload but this was the final straw.  I switched Match off on iPhone and switched phone off and on.  Having done this it would open again but the letter headings for artist, song, album, etc are now wrong.  All the A artists are listed under K, B under L and so on until P artists which are listed under Z.  All artists, songs and albums with titles beginning Q onward are listed under 123.  I have attached a photo to show what I mean:
Has anyone else experienced this?  I will also add that even after switching off Match on iPhone, signing out of iTunes store and syncing iPhone with iTunes I still seem to have Match on and still am missing artwork which should be there.  The whole thing is a total shambles!

Hi, thanks for the answer.  I had already tried the above steps and it still did not fix the issue with the letters.  I also still had cloud symbols against some artists/albums although only songs on the phone appeared to actually show up.
I seem to now have resolved the issue by restoring the phone.  Certainly the heading letter issue is no more and the music seems to be back to the state it was in before I put on Match which is surprising but pleasing.  Best of all my artwork is working again.  Hallelujah!
I have never restored it before in 18 months and wasn't sure to what extent the phone is restored so I am happy to see everything seems to be back to normal even remembering passwords and so on.  Hopefully I will see some general improvements in performance of the phone and I will try Match again an a couple of months if/when I hear it has improved!

  • I have purchased itunes match but the cloud will not load on my ipad 4.the only music that will show up is stuff that i bought from the itunes store.any ideas on how to get this to work?

i have purchased itunes match but the cloud will not load on my ipad 4.it works on my iphone 5 & it originally worked on my ipad.the only music that will show up is stuff that i bought from the itunes store.any ideas on how to get this to work?

On the MBP, in iTunes, switch to Song view and enable the iCloud Status column by pulling down View > View options and selecting the option for "iCloud Status." Close the small window. Look for any tracks that have a status of "waiting." If you see several of them disable iTunes Match while holding down the Option key. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, then open it again and turn iTM back on. Let it compelete the scan. Wait until all tracks that are "waiting" have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded."
On the iPad, turn off iTunes Match then launch the Music app and let the contents clear out. Power cycle the iPad for good measure, then re-enable the service once all the tracks in iTunes have been processed.

  • I can't access my new playlist on my iPhone 4s when using iTunes Match

I recently spent 5 hours combing through my entire digital music collection to compile a playlist of all the songs I want to hear right now.  It is 696 songs and 1.7 days long.  Both my iTunes on my computer and my iPhone 4s have the latest version of the available software.  I cannot see or listen to my new playlist on my iPhone.  I have done the following (with no success):
    1) I have updated iTunes Match.
    2) I have powered off and powered on my iPhone
    3) I have disable and re-enabled Match on my iPhone.
    4) I have disable Match on my iPhone, connected my iPhone to my computer via a USB cord, transfered my playlist that way, then re-enabled Match on my iPhone.  Still, I do not have access to my playlist.  While this did have the desired the affect of putting the playlist on my iPhone, I then could not download the songs that were in the playlist onto my iPhone without Match or performing the laborous task of transfering each song individually via the USB cord.  Not to mention the fact that I play for Match and expect it to work.
    5) I have disabled Match on my iPhone, powered off and powered on my iPhone.  Then, I re-enabled Match on my iPhone.
None of these actions have resulted in the desired occurance.  I have read through the community and when I find someone who said they have fixed the problem, the person either has a minimal grasp of the English language and I do not understand that person or I have already completed the action that the person recommends.
I feel as though, since I pay for this service, that iTunes, i.e. Apple, should address my problem directly, rather than rely on the support of a community of people who are up the same creek, lacking a tool for forward momentum.
I somewhat feel as though I, and all others in a like-situation, should receive a refund for Match or, at the very least, some sort of compensation for time during which it has caused problems.
Additionally, I refuse to ever purchase an apple product again.  They are not the company of quality that they used to be and we are all now just paying top dollar for an subpar product.

Additionally, when trouble shooting, and you disable iTunes Match on an iOS device you cannot simply re-enable it immediately. You must launch the Music app and let the content clear out before re-enabling the service.

  • Cannot see BOTH synched library AND iTunes Match library at the same time

I ran iTunes Match on my library of MP3 files and hit the maximum allowed 25,000 song limit in my paid iTunes Match account. Then I created a new version of my local/PC iTunes library with those 25,000 MP3 songs removed, and synchronized it with my iPhone 4s running IOS7 and iTunes Match turned OFF. So far so good.
So now I theoretically have no duplication between my 25,000 song iTunes Match library and my local iTunes library that resides on my PC.
But even though I have the "Show All Music" setting on the phone turned on, the iTunes Match songs don't appear on my iPhone until I also turn the iTunes Match setting on. But as soon as I do that, all of the songs I synched from my local iTunes library on my PC completely disappear- having been completely replaced by my iTunes Match library. If I then turn the iTunes Match setting off again (while still leaving "Show All Music on"), the iTunes Match songs also disappear, leaving my iPhone music library completely empty. Have I misunderstood the meaning of the "Show All Music" setting, or is something malfunctioning?
My question is: How can I make ALL of my songs (both the ones I have previously captured in ITunes Match AND the ones I synched with my PC via iTunes) appear on my iPhone at the same time?  This scenario seemed to be working just fine under IOS6 on the same iPhone.

I had a somewhat similar experience.  When I enabled paid iTunes Match on my iPhone 5, iOS7, all of my locally-stored songs on the iPhone disappeared and remained gone even after I disabled iTunes Match on the iPhone.
A chat session with Apple support revealed that iTunes Match will in fact supersede any synched content on the iPhone.  The suggestion from Apple support was to download on the phone all the previously-synched content via iTunes Match wireless connection.  Of course, that would take hours if not days.  And that crazy workaround won't help you because you want songs other than what you have in the Cloud.
It appears that various members of this forum have not had this same experience.  I'm not sure what's going on here.  Usually with Apple's tight control of hardware and software these anomalies are avoided.
And I didn't really need iTunes Match except I wanted commercial-free iTunes Radio (which I think is great, by the way).  At least for now, commercial-free radio (with a paid subscription) can be achieved only by enabling all of the iTunes Match features.  I'm not sure why Apple requires this bundling unless its part of a general push to a streaming model for everything (more revenue opportunities) as opposed to supporting local storage.

  • HELP!  I got a new iPhone and want to download my music from my computer so I don't have to down load song by song on my phone.  iTunes Match won't let me copy it from my computer.  What do I do?

I have iTunes Match and it's been fine until now. I'm trying to download my music to my phone so I don't have to use the wifi to play it all the time.....but iTunes match won't let me copy from my computer without shutting it off. If I do that then turn it back on then I lose all the music anyway.
I'm so frustrated and can't download song by song to my phone.
    help.

If you mean you want to sync your music from your computer to your iPhone you need to disable iTunes Match on the iPhone. Go to Settings > Music and set to iTunes Match to OFF (not green). You may need to wait a few minutes for the change to register with iTunes. Connect the iPhone via USB/Thunderbolt and sync the music.

  • How to keep some things in iTunes from being uploaded to iTunes Match

There are files that end up in my iTunes library, because they are mp3's I believe, that aren't music and I don't want uploaded to iTunes Match. For example, my UVerse phone messages are downloaded as mp3's and end up in my iTunes Library. How can I stop them from being uploaded to iTunes Match?

You have to disable iTunes Match to be able to change the Media Type. But are you sure they are being uploaded to the cloud? As Jim says, any tracks encoded at 96 Kbps and below are ineligible for iTunes Match. If if you have not done so you should enable the iCloud Status column in the iTunes browser.

  • Created a playlist with all the songs I want on my iPhone, told iTunes Match to download them, but it got stuck in the middle of it

    Hi all,
I wanted my iPhone to store most of my songs locally (about 4000 songs), and as there is no other way I know of, I created in iTunes (on my mac) a playlist containing all the songs I want on the iPhone. On the iPhone I then went to the bottom of the playlist and pressed the "download all" button.
After a long time (a few days even though my 50Mbps broadband could handle it in less than 2 hours), the iPhone has now downloaded 80% of the songs. But it seems to be stuck at this point (no progress in the last 2 day). The songs which still need to be downloaded still have a "stop" icon next to them indicating they are in the download queue (as opposed to songs which I didn't request to download and have a cloud icon instead).
If I click on one of the songs pending download, it doesn't play it and skips to the next song available locally, BUT it does download that missing song.
The other thing is that now the "download all" button is never there at the bottom of a playlist/artist/album (I guess becaue there is a download batch pending).
So I can't request to download the playlist again, and I can't download or cancel the missing songs one by one as there are too many.
Does anyone have a suggestion of what to do? (Preferably not disabling iTunes Match and r-enabling it, I suspect the implementation is just bad for a large batch of downloads and it will do the same again after a few days)
    Cheers!
    Boris

Thanks, this is not an ideal answer but probably the most sensible one in my case.
I will try it unless someone has a better suggestion, but I'll wait a bit as it will take me a few days anyway (I had actually tried to create a new smaller playlist or download by album, but at this stage the music app is not letting me queue a list of songs for download - I think I will have to disable and re-enable iTunes match which will probably delete all the songs).
I have to say I am not very impressed with Apple here - having an online backup of all your data and beeing able to restore it to a new device easily was a strong selling point of iCloud. For music, they are Definitly not delivering at the stage.
