Disable multiple login

Hi,
Under ABAP stack we can disable multiple login by editing "login/multiple........." parameter using Tcode RZ10.
But about JAVA stack ? <removed_by_moderator>
I want to disable multiple login for pure JAVA stack ? Where to look for profile parameter under java stack and how to disable multiple login in java stack ?
Thanks & Regards

  • Is it possible to disable multiple logins?

Is it possible to disable multiple logins by the same user on different computers? I have network hosted user accounts. I need a way to NOT make it possible for user A to go to client Mac A, login and leave himself logged in there then go to client Mac B and login there also. This is creating some unpleasant effects on the server - naturally!
Any easy way to accomplish this? Perhaps through Profile Manager?
    Thanks!

    Simon,
Thanks for the reply but I need some elaboration.... "the "Login" preferences for users and groups".... what exactly are we referring to? I don't see such option (or atleast the way it's written), in either Server app or Profile Manager. Are we talking about the same OS X version?
    Thanks.
P.S. Despite the fact that I have enabled the option in Profile Manager to logout all users on all computers after 30 minutes of inactivity, I have noticed that the iMac clients don't log out the users after the said time...

  • Disable Multiple logins in the portal

    Dear All,
I have an requirement to disable multiple logins in the portal from same user id. I don't think so it is possible in portal. My portal is EHP1 SPS6.
Do you guys know any of this standard functionality available in portal ?
    Thanks
    Sunny

    Hi,
As Juan said, it seems that there is no standard settings available at the portal to disable the multiple logons.
Please have a look at this [thread|/message/7411465#7411465 [original link is broken]] which deals with the same issue.

    Hi..Durairaj Athavan Raja.
Multiple Login now is enables, This is working fine with auth object S_ADMI_FCD with value PADM.
But Here the user getting a Option to select Check BOX either to cancel all existing sessiosn (or) retain them.
Our requirement is User shoud get terminated from all other sessions and log in into the current sessions like.  The Check Box should be greyed out.
If i don't give S_ADMI_FCD authroization user getting pop up message you are not authroized to kill the sessions.
If you can give some tips i will be greatful

  • Disable Multiple Logins isn't working quite right?

In iChat I do not have "Allow multiple logins" checked for my AIM account. However I am having no problems logging in on my computer, and with the AIM app on my iPhone at the same time. Both can send and receive messages. Ideally I would like to have logging in with one log the other out, and I thought that's what unchecking "Allow multiple logins" would do, but apparently not? Is it for something else? Are there any other ways to get the effect I'm after? Thanks

    Hi,
Have either of you got iChat set to Allow the messages to be sent to a Phone ?

  • Disable multiple logins

    Hi,
In EP6 SP2, a user can simultaneously login to portal multiple times(using the same user id and password). Basically can have multiple sessions open at the same time. I was wondering if its possible to restrict this the way we can in a R/3 system?

    Michael,
There are other problems too with SAPGUI.
Say we have a transactional iView report, and it shoots off to a new window from a portal link ...now logoff from the portal ... one can still do all types of queries on the report without a user login !!!.
I would rather prefer to keep a logged user credential ... and every time a user tries to login ... it should go as see in the logged user credential if he is already logged in .. he should not allowed to login ... But the question is how do we implement it?
    Cheers!!!

  • Is there a recommended way to disable multiple logins

    Hi:
I am trying to use both SiteMinder security for authentication, and WLS security

Is there a way to do this without using SiteMinder WebLogic Security realm agent.
If the only way to achieve this is to use Siteminder WLS security realm, is there
a way to provide Single Sign-on?

  • Unable to open same form with Multiple logins on Windows IE8

    Hello All,
We recently upgraded our instance from Jinitiator to Java Plugin Version 1.6 U18.
After that we are unable to open same form from different logins on a same windows machine.
    the following is scenario.
    1) Login as X user into EBS and open a sales order form. -- Every thing is fine.
    2) On the same machine in another browser window, login as X user again and open Sales order form. --- No issue here also,
    3) On the same machine in another browser window(Keeping the above forms open), login as Y user and open sales order form ---> Form opened from Y user is fine, but, both forms of X user are exiting Oracle applications with message" Your logon session become invalid. Exiting Oracle applications".
we have encountered issues with opening an attachment from a form, and it is resolved by Unchecking "Enable the next generation java plugin" option in Java control panal --> Advanced -> Java plugin. This workaround done according to note: 290807.1
But the multiple login issue is not resolved.
THis isssue is in our PROD and we are loosing customers. Please Advice ASAP.
    THanks.

    Hi Rama;
It was working before? If yes what have you been changed on your system?(patch etc) You have same error on IE 7 or firefox? Did you check apache log file for more details? You have any FRM error code?
Please check those settings on your IE8:
1 - Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Select Sites > click on button "Sites": add the url of ebs.
2 - Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Select Sites > Custom Level > Disabled XSS filter.
    Also check:

  • Cannot disable multiple logon

    Dear all,
I want to disable multiple logon in my system, I have add parameter: login/disable_multi_gui_login value as 1. But it can't disable multiple logon after restart sap. Could you advice?
    Rdgs,
    Emily

    Hello Emily
    1. Try setting the parameter in default profile (DEFAULT.PFL).
    2. The parameter restricts multiple logon throguh sap gui only. I hope you are testing multiple logons through sap gui.
    Cheers,
    Tapan

  • Disable multiple logon from SAP NetWeaver Portal

    Hello
I'd like if there is a parameter inside SAP NetWeaver Poral to disable multiple logon with the same account(like login/disable_multi_gui_login for ABAP).
    Thanks in advace
    Regards
    Stéphane

    Look at service.sap.com
This authentication only works for S-users (as well as SAP employees) who are active accounts in SAP's AD. That works via the internet for SAP customers and employers (e.g. from each other's networks but their own devices) as well.
With a SAML IdP you have a lot more flexibility in choosing the source of the first authentication and managing complex access rights through to the backend.
But you are correct: if there are not too many users to manage and they are smart enough to periodically generate a client certificate and they are physically attached to their own personal devices, then a Certificate Authority or even Open SSL solution is another option.
I guess it would be usefull to know how many users there are and how the authentication through from the NW portal to the ABAP backend system is going to replaced. Also how much user context information is needed on the backend system still, if at all anymore.
I think we need more information here still before we can safely conclude that a client certificate is appropriate for an internet scenario.
I am more worried about all those issues like stolen certificate and so on.
From my SDN experiences it is more often a case of people loosing their certificates and user IDs than one of other people stealing them..    The vaste majority of the 2 million users are using passwords and those who are active seem to be happy with the password reset service --> also an option.

  • Multiple logins to the database

Why is it if I login to my database thru SQL Developer I see multiple logins thru v$session?
    OSUSER PROGRAM
    dehresmann SQL Developer
    dehresmann SQL Developer
For one connection I see two sessions in v$session?
    thanks,

Code Insight can provide context sensitive suggestions for what you are typing in an code editor window.
From the Help files (SQL Developer Preferences : Code Editor):
    Code Editor: Code Insight
The Code Insight pane contains options for the logical completion (autocomplete
options) of keywords and names while you are coding in the SQL Worksheet.
When you press Ctrl+Space, code insight provides a context-sensitive popup window
that can help you select parameter names. Completion insight provides you with a list
of possible completions at the insertion point that you can use to auto-complete code
you are editing. This list is based on the code context at the insertion point. To exit
code insight at any time, press Esc.
You can enable or disable both completion and parameter insight, as well as set the
time delay for the popup windows.Hope that helps.

  • Locking user after multiple login failures

I want to be able to check that a user isn't trying to bombard the server with multiple login requests. So what would be the best way to check, and set lets say 3 tries or you're out for a user?
    Thanks in advance

I can think of three ways:
1: Store log-in attempts in the HttpSession but doesn't help if client uses a new browser and thus a new session.
2: Store log-in attempts in a persisted cookie. Will also need to set a cookie with the date/time of the last attempt to be able to unlock the PC.
3: Store the log-in attempts in a DB. Again need to store the date/time of the last attempt. Problem is connecting a userId's to the actual user.
My choice would be #2 combined with #1. If a user has disabled cookies I would use the session otherwise I would use the cookies.

  • Disable simultanious login in Yosemite

In older versions of OSx it was simple to disable simultaneous login of the same user at multiple computers.
In 10.10 how should this be approached?
I realize that there is no simple box to check. Is there a property that I can assign to the user via Directory Editor?
    Thanks in advance.
    dhh

Use Workgroup Manager 10.9.  The option for simultaneous logins is in Accounts > Advanced.
