Disable "Notification" notifications

Hi everyone, I would like to get the "Notifications" section out of the hub.    These are the ones with the bell icon that usually tell me useless information about wifi connectivity or whether or not some app I haven't used in a year has an update, etc.  I don't want these nag messages.  EVER.  Any way to turn it off or at least limit the **bleep** that is considered to be a "notification"?  Whenever I click on settings in notifications it just goes to hub management and hub management doesn't have an option to not get these notifications. I could understand it if it was OS updates, but the rest is all nagging garbage.

  • How can I disable Notification Centre in IOS5 and go back to getting the big blue text message notifications?

    I have Iphone 4S on iOS 5
I flicked the button in settings to set up Notification Centre, but now I want to disable Notification Centre as the text notification is nowhere near as good as the old 'big blue' text received box.
1- where do I find button to DISABLE Notification Centre? (I can't find one)
2- how do I revert back to the old big blue box text notification?
    Thanks

I've tried literally every option available in "Notifications" to get back the big blue box, but it seems that every option I choose nothing really changes.
The messages continue to come up with the small box, green Message icon, and the name and Text Message beneath.
Is there no other way, or some sort of trick, to get the blue box back?
    Thanks!

My iPhone is displaying a "iPhone is disabled" notification. It asked me to enter my password multiple times before locking me out. Can you help with this?

    Hey there!
Unfortunetly, in situations like this, the ONLY other way to bypass that four-digit passcode and/or a disabled device is to connect to a computer with the most recent version of iTunes (11.1.3), connect the device in Recovery Mode and restore it to factory settings. Restoring to factory will completely wipe the device, including the four-digit passcode.
The steps to do so are outlined in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
(If there is any other way to bypass the passcode, it would have to be third-party, which I am not familiar with any program that can, sorry!).

  • How can I disable notification for new install update for adobe??

How can I disable notification for new install update for adobe (adobe reader, flash player, etc.)
Is there way from SCCM2012 or group policy or any easy way?????
    Please help me

If you mean the built-in functionality of Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash, it's different mechanism for both.
For the reader, check this guide for example:
    http://www.adminarsenal.com/admin-arsenal-blog/bid/84409/Adobe-Customization-Wizard-XI-Tutorial
For flash, check this guide for example:
    http://jthys.wordpress.com/2012/07/07/disable-automatic-updates-for-adobe-flash-shockwave-player-reader/
After you've studied the above guides, you need to implement those to be used with ConfigMgr application deployment so that when you deploy Reader/Flash, you get the result you want = no automatic update functionality.

    Hi Tulio,
Simply exeute the CTC template to enable notifications once again, but this time DESELECT the options to send out notifications for new tasks or assignments to a task.
    Hope this helps,

  • Does the iPad have a presentation mode that temporarily disables notification banners?

I use my iPad for presentations at conferences and in class. Is there a way to temporarily disable notification banners without having to change the settings for each indivdual app?

The Notification Manager has a 'sleep' setting that tells it not to notify you about anything.  Look in the Settings panel for it.

  • How to disable notifications in Yosemite

    Hi!
Is anyone else experiencing problems with notification center in Yosemite? I have disabled both the reminders and the calendar from the notification center (unchecked all boxes and set the notification style to none) but Yosemite keeps enabling them after each time I log out. Is this a bug? Happens on both my iMac and my Macbook after upgrading.
    Thanks!

  • How to disable notifications for shared calendars?

My girlfriend and I are sharing calendars. Every time she adds an activity, Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion notifies me via notification center AND from within the app. I disabled this when subscribing to her calendars on Lion and iOS 5, but it's enabled for Mountain Lion by default.
    How can I disable both?

Thanks David, I too had been trying only the "Turn off shared calandar messages in Notification center" in Preferences on my Macbook Pro, but continued to receive shared notifications.   Then I used your suggestion above to "Get Info"and click "Ignore Alerts" on each shared calendar.   Funny thing, when I went back to preferences, it had unchecked the "Turn off shared calandar messages in Notification center", so I had to recheck this option.   Now both are sticking and it seems to have stopped the unwanted shared notices.   Thanks for your post!
Others, if you are still having trouble, double check your MBP preferences as you may need to re-check this option.
    Thanks

  • How to disable notifications of an other persons calendar?

We use iCloud calendar, Mac OS X 10.9.4., iCAL Version 7.0 (1841.1)
We share our calendars within the team (read only for the other team members).
    My problem:
I would like to see only the bookings of the other team members. But I have to accept each single calendar entry, also those of the other persons (on which I have read only access).
Has anyone an idea how to disable those notifications?
    Thanks for your support.

  • BT parental controls - 1 hour disable notification

Hello all, thanks for taking the time to read my post. I am considering opting into BT parental control, and have noticed that if the settings are changed, I will receive a notification about it, which I think is a good idea. I am curious for the "disable for 1 hour" option that seems available when trying to get into a prohibited site. If someone were to know my account details, and trigger this and allow themselves access to whatever they wanted for 1 hour, would i be notified of this through email or another way? Is this classifed as a setting? Thanks for any help
