Disable password required - formerly set by BES

I am giving my wife my Pearl - it was formerly managed by our companies' BES server. They set the password required option (so it has that irritating little red lock near in in the options.) Is there a way I can clear any and all corporate mandated setting now that it will no longer be used on the corporate plan?

mbp running mountain lion. im trying to disable the password requirement to log back in after sleep. ive read that there is some box to uncheck "require password after sleep or screensaver" but i dont see it. i see "require password" in security but there is no box. the only option is to select the dropdown menu and select "immediately" or "1 hour".

In mac system prefrence under the secuirity options there is no checkbox or way to turn off the password requirment while the mac is on screen saver mode or sleep mode? I read in mac help that there should be an option?

Can you try logging on as another administrative user? (Make another user, if necessary.)
And just for the heck of it, if you click the lock and unlock the rest of the controls, does the checkbox appear?
Another thought: is your computer part of a Windows domain or other network? Is there a policy on the network to require a screen saver password? (For example on my office's Windows network, a screen saver password requirement is set in the Group Policy. I'm assuming that something similar can be done with an OSX server, if you haven't joined the Mac to a Windows Active Directory network.)

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

LAP's are not assotiated with controller yet.
They get the ip address via dhcp, they are reachable by icmp.
When I try to telnet, I get
Password required, but none set
Is there any chance to get access to them without using serial port?

1. in general the AP do not responmd to telnet or ssh, but this depends on the state of the AP and the controller settings
I am not sure what state a Defaulted AP is in ...
2. Normally the AP must resolve, via DNS, the record cisco-capwap-controller.YOURDOMAIN.COM
så make sure you have this in your DNS for that AP (i.e. might be the DNS that the DHCP provide with the IP)
But this link to CCO, provide you info on how DHCP option 43 can be used.
(I find the DNS record much more suitable and easy to use)

2960S - Password required, but none set

I set a password for the 'VTY lines', the Console, I set an 'enable secret' and an 'enable' password,
but when I log in via ssh I get this:

I type in the 'enable secret' and get into the enable mode...
I always get this "Password required, but none set"! But all passwords are set.
It's a WS-C2960S-48TD-L with IOS Version is 15.0(2)SE2 (C2960S-UNIVERSALK9-M)
What am I missing?

How to disable/remove password requirement every time you send amessage

Every time I try to send an email, I get a box requiring me to type in a password (the one associated w/my ISP provider account). I can't find a way to turn off. My daughter uses Thunderbird & does not have this problem. She has a desktop pc & I am using a laptop, but I wouldn't think that would make a difference? This is so annoying and I couldn't find an answer any where in HELP or online support. My daughter set Thunderbird up for me & can't figure out why this is happening or how to make it so I don't have to do this. Please help & provide me w/a solution. THANKS!

There is no check box with, at or near the password requirement. It is the same password used to access my server (comcast.net). I have asked comcast.net and they told me it is a Mozilla Thunderbird problem, and they have no control over it, so can't fix the problem - CALL THUNDERBIRD!
But Thunderbird doesn't have any customer service. The problem only began when I had to change my comcast.net password (and no, the old one doesn't work either now).

Often, if you have Content Protection enabled, then the password is required. You have to turn off content Protection:

Alternatively, if your BB is part of a corporate BES environment, you may be required to have a device lock password...and there is nothing you can do to disable that requirement.

Disable password for privileged Exec mode via Telnet

I've looked around for an answer for this specific issue but haven't been able to find one yet. Hoping this is easy and someone can point me in the right direction.
When logging into a 2950 switch via Telnet, I'm prompted for a password when attempting to "enable" privileged mode. I want to disable the password requirement for now (home lab, not production). When I initiate the "no enable password" or "no enable secret" command (via a console connection), and try to initiate the enable command, I receive the message "% No password set". If I now attempt to enable privileged mode from the console, I'm not asked for a password. How can I disable the password prompt for VTY mode?

Disable Password function to unlock phone

Could someone tell me how to disable the password function? I have to put in a password each time to unlock my phone. The directions say to change the "enable" to "disable" but doesn't give me the opportunity to do this. Can someone help? I have the Curve 8330.

If your device is on a corporate BES account, then you probably have an IT Policy requiring the password. If there is a little red lock symbol next to where Irwin above instructed, then you can't disable the password requirement.

8310 Password Enabled Locked....How to reset and clear lock to disable password?

My 8310 phone has a lock on the Password Enabled, and I can't clear or change setting to disable password. Also, the security time out is locked, so I can't change the time either. Please help, I want to reset the phone so that it isn't locked and I can disable the security password.

Yes. If you know who's company is was a part of, the BES admistrator can send a default IT policy to device to remove any restrictions from the device. Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013 server properties - The required term set is not available.

After creating new document from ribbon with the new document function on any template the managed metadata based server properties cannot be selected and properties boxes are grayed out. Mouse over displays "The Required term set is not available".
Works fine when using it form resource (SharePoint) domain both with user domain and resource domain accounts.
There is a two-way trust btw domains.
SPNs are done for AppPools.
AppPool accounts have delegations and are set to impersonate with GPO.
SharePoint Web Application is on kerberos authentication.
There is no difference when sites are using user or resource domain AppPool accounts.
The WFE and SQL Server have computer delegations.
Server env: Windows Server 2008 R2 with all updates, SQL Server 2008 R2 with all updates, on-prem SharePoint Server 2013 with no CU.
User env: Windows 7 ENT, IE10 and Office 2013 with all updates.
There is no internet connection and internet connection is not possible. The internet connection is cheated with two DNS A record setting for
www.msftncsi.com and dns.msftncsi.com. Also registry changes "ActiveDnsProbeContent" ip- address for Win7 is done via GPO to private IP. This is done because otherwise check-in/check-out does not work.

Same problem here!. Giving the computer network access allows the control to be populated. Then I disabled and restarted and it seems to be ok....
