Disable phone Web access ..

Hi,
we are using UC560 for IP Telephony system and i received complain from end users about that any user know the IP address of IP phone he can access it through the web and view all call history  as dialed calls or received calls.
so i need to disable phone web access to protect end user privacy .
kindly advice .
Moe

Hello Moe,
Just to add to what John said there is a technical mistake to stop the web access to the phone you need to enter the following on the UC:
Telephony-service
Service phone webAccess 1
Create cnf-files
For SPA phones you may try the following:
Cisco SPA303, Cisco SPA500 Series
To allow or disallow from the phone viewing of the phone web user interface:
STEP 1 Press the Setupbutton.
STEP 2 To display the Web Server Writable option either:
• Select Network> Enable Web Server.
• Select Settings> Security Configuration> Web Access Enabled.
NOTE This option is available in SPCP mode only.
STEP 3 Press Edit to change the status of the Web Access Enabled parameter.
If the option to edit the parameter is not displayed, press **#to display the option.
If the edit option still does not display,it might be set by your phone system
administrator such that you cannot modify this parameter.
STEP 4 Press Y/ N to toggle the parameter and press ok to set the parameter.
STEP 5 To save your change, press save.

Alex

  • Ip phone web access does not working

    hello, everybody!
    need assistance.
    I have CUCM 9.1 with demo licences.
    I have some phones - 7911 and 6921 - registered.
    I have enabled Web Access feature on all phones.
    but don't have web access.
    any suggestions?

    Hi Sergey,
    I overlooked it  when webaccess is enabled I see <webAccess>0</webAccess> when it is disabled><webAccess>1</webAccess>. So for your case webaccess = 0 is good, that means it's enabled.
    Can you ensure you have right device pack installed which is compatible with your phone firmware.
    Check below link for more details

  • Sharing web access

    is it possible to leech off a mobile phones web access with my mac powerbook. that would give me mobile access anywhere I had cell service.

    Unfortunately, I don't know the DSL router you're working with or much about Macs but if everything is working inside the LAN then most likely all you need to do is forward the HTTP port and FTP port to your computer (the web and ftp server) on your router. This is called Port Forwarding and you would need to forward:
    80 (HTTP) to 192.168.1.100 or whatever the IP address is of your computer
    20 - 21 (FTP) to 192.168.1.100 or whatever the IP address is of your computer
    Depending on the FTP method of your server (active or passive) you might need to forward other ports as well but what is essentially happening is that when someone makes either an HTTP request or FTP request from outside your LAN they are stopped when they hit your DSL router because the ports are closed.
    Hope this helps...

  • Making changes to web access phone setting CUCM 8.6.2

    Hello,
    I have a question on a change I need to make on our Call Manager. We use the Berbee Informacast product for emergency notification. It requires that the Web Access parameter be enabled on the individual phones in order to send audio broadcasts. I have learned that after a certain version of CUCM (8.6 perhaps) this setting was set to disable by default on the Enterprise Phone Configuration section on CUCM. We have had this version running about a year now and many many phones have been installed since then. These phones have the web access disabled I believe because of this being disabled on the server settings side. My question is this...
    Would it be better to go into System > Enterprise Phone Configuration>Web Access setting and set to enable
    or
    Do a bulk edit on all phones to enable, reset phones.
    What I am not sure about also is if I change on the system side if it will automatically update and reset phones.
    Just not clear on the right path to take on this...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    -Nick

    Thanks for the great info. This is what I did.
    Changed web access to enabled in Enterprise Phone Configuration. Clicked Ok, manually rebooted a couple of phones with no web access. Still didn't work.
    Changed web access to enabled in Device>Device Settings>Common Phone Profile>Standard Common Phone Profile. Clicked Save and rebooted the same two phones. Worked great.
    Ran job scheduler to reboot all phones (1600 of them) and all seems to be good now.
    Thanks again Chris!

  • Disable web access

    Cisco CUCM SRND:
    With the Web Access feature disabled, the phones will be unable to receive applications pushed to them from Unified CM.
    Can anybody give me an example what kind of application it is will be pushed to phone? Thanks

    Any 3rd party applications that push to the phone. For example, PhoneTop Messenger can push audio pages, text messages, surveys, weather alerts from NWS, Amber alerts, etc. to your IP phone and web access must be enabled for it to work.

  • Phone's Web Access Page is Not Loading

    Hello All,
    CallManager: 8.6.2.24901-1
    Device: Cisco Wireless IP Phone CP-7925G
    One of our 7925 IP Phone's is having some connectivity issues. And yesterday I was looking through the Web Access page of the phone, checking out Network Profiles, logs, etc...
    Now today, when I tried to get back to any web page belonging to that phone NOTHING will load in any browser I've tried. If I check the device in CallManager it says it's connected/Registered and I've double checked the Web Access settings are ALL enabled as well. When I click on the IP Address displaying for that phone in CallManager, it opens a new tab in my Firefox and after about 20 seconds or so I see the message:
            "Problem loading page... The connection was reset"
    I've tried both Restarting and Resetting the phone, but neither seem to help... Also, I can ping the phone without any issues as well.
    If anyone has any ideas, please feel free!
    Thanks in Advance,
    Matt

    Ok gotcha... Yea, I'll look for that on the Web Access Page if I can ever get back to it. Otherwise, I'll just talk the person in the remote location through the process. If it's as simple as the 7941/7961/etc, then we should be ok for the reset. I think this is it? --> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7925g/7_0/english/administration/guide/7925trb.html#wp1119893
    As for the link you posted, after reading that it does kind of ring a bell... Definitely get a bit of DeJavu when reading over it, I'm sure it will come back to me once I'm into it.
    I do have a PDF (*which is a section from another PDF) with the title "Chapter 4: Using the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Web Pages", which has sections for: Configuring USB Settings, Network Profiles, Updating Phone Remotely, Trace Settings, etc...
    So I think that PDF (*and your link) will be my guide(s) on this...
    Thanks Again for the reply, much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Web access to ip phones is not working although it is enabled on CUCM

    Dear All,
    i enable web access for ip phone ,but still not able to access the phones through web.
    Regardsm
    Moath

    What call manager version are you using?  If you're on 8.x there is security by default and if you're on an older version it's possible you have security enabled (CTL files) which would be causing your phone not to trust it's TFTP configuration file, which is where the web access setting is passed to the phone.  If you look at Settings > Status Messages on the phone do you see anything such as trust list update failed?  If you see that it's likely an ITL file issue.  If you go into Settings > Security, and delete the ITL from the phone it will download a new one automatically from your TFTP server.  Once the ITL is correct the phone should trust the TFTP configuration file and update the web access setting on the phone.

  • TS3899 I have an new iphone5.  I have no problem with email when I have web access.  How do I send and receive email over the phone when no there is no web access?

    my email works fine when I have web access.  How do I receive emails when I am just using the phone with no web access?

    For email you you need an Internet connection and that requires either wifi or cellular data.

  • Remote Web Access; Disable enom/godaddy check?

    Hello, I am trying to setup an existing domain and SSL certificate for use with WinSBS 2011 essentials Remote Web Access.
    None of the info in any online guide has been any help (and most irritatingly, and recursively, link to one another); I have used:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2011/08/04/how-to-install-your-existing-certificate-into-sbs-essentials.aspx
    http://titlerequired.com/2012/03/05/sbs-2011-essentials-manually-installing-ssl-certificate/
    etc.
    The problem lies in the fact that the "Wizard" believes my current domain name (mydomain.com) to be registered with enom, when I KNOW FOR A FACT IT IS *NOT*. I have an existing domain and an existing wildcard SSL certificate issued for it.
    Setting registry value 'UseV2CertificateSupport' = 0 (and restarting the services, as outlined in above links) does not change the behavior.
    If I type in any random domain name that either does not exist, or that is (also) not registered with godaddy or enom, I can get to a point in the Wizard setup where I can import the existing certificate, and finish the Wizard. I need to figure out how to
    disable this online webservice check for godaddy/enom, or atleast, force the wizard to allow me past this check; as if the check returned "IsGodaddyOrEnom"= false
    Posting here is my last resort. Please, Microsoft, please help me fix your terribly implemented RWA setup "wizard".

  • VLAN on RVS4000 disables access to Remote Web Workplace, Outlook Web Access

    I have an RVS4000 setup with a VLAN to a wireless "guest" network, guest network is 192.168.1.x, internal network is 10.0.0.x both have Internet access, and cannot see each other, exactly what I wanted. The only problem is that either from the internal network or the guest network I can no longer access the Remote Web Workplace - https://mail.mydomain.com/remote or Outlook Web Access https://mail.mydomain.com/exchange fails with page not found. Internally I can access via \\server\remote and \\server\exchange but of course this does not work for the guest network. We have Small Business Server 2003. External access if fine. I'm assuming this is some kind of routing issue but not sure how to fix. Thanks.

  • Can't download files on Android from Server 2012 Essentials Remote Web Access

    I have two servers, one with Windows Server 2012 Essentials, and the other SBS 2011.  Employees like using Remote Web Access to log in from anywhere and have access to shared folders.  It works perfect on a Desktop computer, but when they try to
    use their Android tablets or phones, and want to download a file (e.g. a PDF) from one of the shared folders on the server, the download fails.   When Microsoft was pushing 2012 they said RWA worked great on mobile devices, do I have to set up something
    separately to make this happen?
    I've completely disabled the firewall, and have ports 80,443,987, and 1723(just to be safe) all forwarded to the server.
    I can log into the RWA site on the android, browse files and folders, but when I select a PDF to download, the download shows as if it's starting, shows in my android notification as if its going to start downloading (Shows MobileDownload www.mydomain.com)
    but eventually after a few minutes, will time out and show "Download Unsuccessful".
    Network connectivity is fine as I can do this on a Windows Desktop PC using any browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE) and successfully download anything I want.
    UPDATE:  I found this in the event handler when I tried to download something from a mobile device...

    Hi,
    Before going further, would you please let me confirm something firstly?
    Would you please let me know if all Android devices
    encounter this same issue? If you download different type files, will still this issue persists? You can upload a small file (such as a text file) to the share folder, then check if Android device can’t download it.
    Based on your description, when logon a desktop computer, you will download files via RWA successfully. Please use the user account which logon computer to logon
    the Android device, will still fail to download?
    Please check if there has enough free space in Android devices that be used to save download.
    When this issue occurred, please check the state of Android device in Dashboard. Besides, I suggest you should run the Best Practices Analyzer (BPA) and fix all
    it can find. Then monitor the result.

  • Outlook Web Access vs ActiveSync

    Hi all,
    Apologies if this question was already asked, but I can't seem to find it if so.
    I work at a largish company who use Outlook Exchange for our corporate mail. One of the main reasons I got my iPhone 3G is so I read my work mail wherever I am without having to ask for a company Blackberry.
    However I may have made a mistake as I didn't realise how worried about security the firm is. I cannot set up ActiveSync for the life of me - it just says wrong password even when it is correct - and this may be because:
    1) The firm does not allow IMAP or POP access to Exchange
    2) I do not think they have ActiveSync activated on teh server and I cannot change this
    However, we do have Outlook Web Access (OWA) which I can access through a normal browser. In fact I can get this working on Safari but I have to enter the username/domain and password every single time which is unworkable. Therefore my question is:
    - Can I access work email through iPhone native email client, perhaps by utilising the Outlook Web Access (or finding a way to still use ActiveSync)?
    Thanks a lot for any help, I'm tearing my hair out here (in a newbie style of way)!!

    Unfortunately not, OWA using some fancy coding that means it will never store your password in your broswer. You have to type it in every time.
    Your only choice is to yell and scream at your IT department until they enable ActiveSync.
    Please note some key words that may help you achieve this goal:
    *Remote Wipe* - This allows, in the event of the phone been stolen, for the phone to be wiped remotely.
    *Limited Exposure via Limited Backdated Emails* - This means that if for any reason the person who stole your phone is smart enough to disable all internet access (WiFi, 3G, EDGE, GPRS) BEFORE turning (or the wipe command is issued) on the headset there will be a limited amount of mail in the box... the options are 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month (default), no limit.
    And finally, *Increased Productivety* - You will be able to increase the produtivity of your working by getting mail on your phone.

    Hi,
    Please try to reset the Internet Explorer settings or open Internet Explorer in In-Private browsing and then check if this issue occurs.
    If the issue persists, please try to access SharePoint in another computer with Office 2013 and then check if this issue occurs. Or repair Office and restart your server.

  • BlackBerry Internet Service with Microsoft Outlook Web Access account

    I need to switch my 8820 to a new work account.  They use Outlook Exchange 2003, but do not support BES.  I have access via both regular desktop Outlook and also Outlook Web Access (from a different server).   I read the procedure to use BIS in KnowledgeBase KB03133.  After entering my email address and password, I get a message that it was successfully set up.  But, I get no e-mail messages delivered.  When I check  the settings, it looks like it is not using the correct server for Web Access.  However, I can find no way to manually enter it - I don't get the error message described in Step 5 where I can pick "I will provide the settings."  I try to set up via computer but I get a message that my BIS cannot be accessed via HTML and need to set up on my BB.
    Any suggestions?  Would it work with a newer phone running a newer OS?  Do I need to check with AT&T if it supports Outlook Web Access?  Thanks in advance.

    Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    Lot's of possible variables...here a several other KBs to try:
    KB03133How to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
    KB18567BlackBerry Internet Service cannot connect to a Microsoft Outlook Web Access account using Microsoft Exchange 2007 or Microsoft Exchange 2010

    KB02858Unable to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
    The trick to getting to the manual settings screen is to provide your valid email address, but an incorrect password...then, it will allow you to manually enter the settings.

  • How do I change the URL to the Remote Web Access server in Windows Server 2012?

    Hallo!
    I have set up a Remote Dexktop Service using the "Quick" deployment method in Server Manager and everything is working greate internally, but I cannot start an app published in Remote Web Access from outside our network.
    The problem is that it wants to start the using the internal URL, for example, server.domain.local, instead of the external one, for example remote.server.com.
    I therefore want to know how I can change the default URL for the Remote Web Access server and all the Remote Web Apps in Windows Server 2012?
    I have allready looked in Server Manager and I can change some of the deployment settings in server manager, but there is no way to alter the URL of the Remote Web Access server. See below images:
    Pressing the internal URL only results in opening the internal URL.
    This was very simple to do in Windows Server 2008 R2 using the tsconfig tool, but it does not seam to be any way of solving this in server manager.
    A possible sollution would be to alter the registry someware in HKLM->Software->Microsoft->Windows NT->Terminal Services. But this can easaly lead to problems due to wrong format, etc. and is probably not supported.
    Is there a simpler and supported way?

    That option can be used to connect to any machine that you want.  The error message indicates that the client machine cannot resolve the name "server.domain.local" to an IP address that it can connect to.
    You have several options for configuring that tab on the RDweb site.  You can even remove it entirely.
    Customization of RD Web Site
    RD Web provides a number of customization options for the RD Web interface, including the ability to control default Gateway server settings and redirection settings. These settings
    are controlled by editing the web.config file located in %SYSTEMROOT%\Web\RDWeb\Pages.
    Displaying Local Help
    To display local help for users instead of the web-based help, edit the LocalHelp value and change the value from false to true.
    <!-- LocalHelp: Displays local help for users, instead of the web-based help. Value must be "true" or "false" -->
    <add key="LocalHelp" value="false" />
    When this value is changed, a user that clicks on Help in the upper right corner of the RD Web login page will open the local help file instead of web-based help.
    Hiding the Connect to a Remote PC Tab
    The RDWeb page
    Connect to a Remote PC tab can be hidden from users to prevent connections to any servers through RD Web other than the servers configured in a collection. By default, this setting is set to true and the
    Remote Desktops tab is displayed. To hide the tab, set the value to false.
    <!-- ShowDesktops: Displays or hides the Remote Desktops tab. Value must be "true" or "false" -->
    <add key="ShowDesktops" value="true" />
    When the value is set to false, a user will not see the Connect to a Remote PC tab when logged on to the RD Web page
    RD Gateway Settings
    If the Connect to a Remote PC tab is enabled, an administrator can configure RD Web to use a Gateway server when connecting to remote computers. To specify a gateway, edit the below
    value with the name of the RD Gateway server:
    <!-- DefaultTSGateway: Admin can preset this to a given Gateway name, or set to "" for no gateway. -->
    <add key="DefaultTSGateway" value="" />
    The default authentication method for the RD Gateway server can also be configured by editing the following section of the web.config:
    <!-- GatewayCredentialsSource: TS Gateway Authentication Type.
    Admins can preset this.
    0 = User Password
    1 = Smartcard
    4 = "Ask me later"
    -->
    <add key="GatewayCredentialsSource" value="0" />
    Devices and Resources
    By default, only Printers and Clipboard are redirected on connections made using the Connect to a Remote PC tab. If the user clicks the
    Options << button, the redirection settings for a specific connection can be modified
    To configure each specified redirection option to be enabled or disabled by default, edit the following section in the web.config file:
    <!-- Devices and resources: Preset the Checkbox values to either true or false -->
    <add key="xPrinterRedirection" value="true" />
    <add key="xClipboard" value="true" />
    <add key="xDriveRedirection" value="false" />
    <add key="xPnPRedirection" value="false" />
    <add key="xPortRedirection" value="false" />
    LAN Experience Defaults
    Windows Server 2012 RD Web Access can display a new user selectable option for optimizing the connection for a LAN experience. This option is displayed at the bottom of the RD Web
    page and can be controlled by the administrator using the following section of the web.config file:
    <!--  Checkbox to opt for optimized LAN experience -->
    <add key="ShowOptimizeExperience" value="false" />
    <add key="OptimizeExperienceState" value="false" />
    This value is set to false by default, but when changed to true, the following checkbox will display at the bottom of the webpage. The LAN experience
    checkbox can also be set as enabled by default.
    Each setting can also be modified using the IIS Manager user interface:
