Disable powersave on 3310 All-in-one

Hello,
I recently setup my 3310 on my network through the wireless connection and now it powers down every 30 minutes. I have gone into the printer settings and turned the option off but it keeps doing it. If it matters, I have 3 vista computers connected to it and all have the option set to "No" for auto off. And I have 2 XP machines connected but they do not have the option to disable the auto off option under device settings. Any ideas?

Hmmm ... I stand corrected (I didn't think our printers did this). Thanks for pointing this out as we're about to reintroduce this feature in a more intelligent way.
Try performing a semi-full reset of the printer. Turn the printer off and unplug it. Press and hold the <6> and <#> keys together as you plug the printer in and continue to hold the buttons until the count of 30 (or so). Release the buttons and turn the printer on via the on/off button.
Note that this will clear most of the settings in the printer, so note the settings you want to restore. You should especially make note the IP address of the printer before you do the reset. If the IP addresses changes after you restore the printer settings, you may have to reinstall the SW (ack!). Normally, your wireless-router should give the previous IP address to your printer.

I am not sure which Diagnostic utlity you used previously. I have included the two which should assist with your printing issue. Try the Print Diagnostic utility first.

Hp 3310 all in one faxing problem

I recently changed my phone service with at&t to their u-verse. In doing so, I now realize that I am now unable to fax with my 3310 all in one, and it seems it is because it is an analog and u-verse is digital. Is there any type analog to digital in line converter available to help with this problem.

ERROR MESSAGE - Scanner failure - Unable to scan, copy or send a fax - Photosmart 3310 All in One

Hi, believe it or not, this worked.., unplug unit for 30 sec.
press and hold # key plus 3 key (keep holding)
plug in unit again
keep holding # and 3 buttons until screen says reset has occurred
release buttons, try copying or scanning
if you're lucky, you'll now have a functioning unit

Boy, does this story sound familiar. After some research and considering the fact that good quality photos are important, we purchased the HP 3310 a little over 3 years ago. This certainly was not the cheapest all-in-one unit available. Thank God we purchased the extended warranty from Best Buy. Roughly 7 months after purchase, we could no longer copy, scan or fax -- same message you received. We returned the unit to Best Buy and they promptly replaced it with a new one. We were offered as a replacement any printer of our choice up to the purchase price of the 3310. Second mistake: we chose to replace the unit with another HP 3310. Guess what -- a few days after expiration of our extended warranty, we received the same message again and could no longer copy, scan or fax. As it was out of warranty by this time, we examined the unit carefully and found that the light carriage bar that scans was out of alignment and stuck there. We removed the 2 screws holding the scanner bed and were able to squeeze a hand far enough under the glass to re-align the scanner bar. It still would not work. We thought it was broken and turned it off. Much to our surprise, next time we turned it on, it worked...until, that is, we tried to use the reduce/enlarge function and it repeated the malfunction. We have since determined that the reduce/enlarge function creates the problem. As long as we do not use the reduce/enlarge function, the printer continues to copy, scan and fax. We are going to replace this printer, but there is an old saying..."Once a fool, shame on you; twice a fool, shame on me." The replacement will surely not be an HP product.

How can i change country code for a 3310 all in one? we have moved from Japan to Germany

We have moved from Asia/Japan to Germany. I bought a set of new cartridges, which unfortunately are not accepted by the printer. Need help..... In the internet I found that I am not the only one to have this problem. As the printer is older than a year I either _ throw away.....or.....move back to Japan. Both are not alternative. Can someone help. Need guidance on how to change the country code of the printer

What is the exact model of the printer? For example, Officejet or Laserjet.
All Cloud services printers, including Apple's Airprint, can be found here.
If your printer is not on this list, then it more than likely does not support Apple's Airprint.

3310 all in one won't print colors correctly

I've cleaned printhead lots of times and print self test. The print quality pattern is only printing black color bar (it looks gray) and Yellow (which looks green). None of the other boxes print. All ink is genuine HP (always has been) and are not expired. HELP. Thanks.

HP 3310 All in One printer

I am having a problem connecting this printer wirelessly. I have ensured that the printer is connected to my ad-hoc network created by my iMac, but I can't seem to add the printer. I can't see it in the drop down menu in Safari, under Bonjour. I can connect via USB no problem. I have also used the add printer utility, but that can't add the printer either. I have also tried adding the printer manually by typing in the mac address, but that doesn't work either. I have spoken with Apple Support and they didn't know why I couldn't add the printer wirelessly either. Can anyone help me? Thanks JT41

Hi there, I have the same printer and have had a similar problem.
It is connected to my Airport Extreme base station, and then wirelessly to my G5 Tower.
If I turn my printer off and then back on again, my computer can no longer see it.
To fix this, I have to unplug the base station. When I reconnect it to power and it goes through it's startup cycle, my computer can then see the printer.
Have you tried unplugging the base station?

HP 3310 All-in-one

I keep getting message to install white paper to align printer. When I do this nothing happens, the message comes up again. To use my printer I use the right arrow then click OK button, then I can use the printer. My paper is always aligned.

The whiteness rating on the paper can affect the alignment success. Take a look at this document:

Printer (HP Photosmart 3310) software on one of two up-to-date systems

Hello community. My first post here at all.
I consider myself a Mac newby.
I have a 2013 MacBook Pro (Retina) and a 2013 MacBook Air. The latter was purchased the other week. Both up to date according to Software Update.
As a printer I have an HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-one, connected through wifi.
On the MBP I have a proper specific printer (and scanner) driver v4.0.4.
On the MBA this driver (or anything equivalent) is "currently not available". I'd have to resort to a generic driver v1.5. That won't let me scan or print in color. (It does allow me to use the installed duplexer.)
I have just read the "unavailable" thread in the OS X 10.7 forum. However, restarting my computer hasn't resolved my issue.
QUESTIONS:
1) How could the printer software database (or whatever its nature) differ between two simultaneously updated OS X 10.9.3 systems? Would that be a matter on my side or with Apple?
2) How (if at all) could I copy the settings (or whatever) from the MBP to the MBA?

For my better understanding I'd love to see my original questions answered yet (by anybody).
I now even have a new one:
3) I have (among other things) had Google search the whole Web for this driver, and I have not found this download. How could I have found it without you (putnik) telling me? (Because it is a package?)

HP PHOTOSMART ALL IN ONE 3310 PRINTER

My all in one 3310 PHOTOSMART HP PRINTER does not print colors correctly. I cleaned the printer head and tried to align the printer as suggested in the USER GUIDE book. It did not work. Two of the cartridges started leaking color and it went from 100% full to 9% full in matter of a few minutes. I went ahead and bought all new color cartridges and repeated the process of repair as per the USER GUIDE, but it was not successful. Two of the same cartridges, cyan and magenta are somewhere leaking and the colors on the test page are still not working correctly. Can you give me an advice as to what else I can do to correct this problem?

i am having the same problem with a C6380 photosmart printer. But nothing I do has corrected the issue. Have you gotten any solution since posting your problem in March/

7515 Photosmart all-in-one goes offline every time it goes into powersave mode

I bought the Costco Photosmart all-in-one 7515 and it worked fine for a long time. For the last several months, every time it goes into power save mode, it goes offline and will not wake back up until you go into the wireless settings and even then, it has to be disconnected and reconnected in order to come back online. I haved checked for updates and downloaded the printer test app and it still goes offline when it goes into power save mode. Is there any way to disable the power save mode. When it goes offline, you can still ping it, so I am at a loss.

I see you are experiencing connectivity issues. I would like to help.
I would recommend that you turn off UPnP, and set the router channel width to 20mhz.

You can deauthorize all computers connected to your Apple ID if you've reached the maximum five authorizations:
Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
