To my knowledge, I've only seen this for imessage only and not SMS.
The other users would need to have send read receipts enabled on their phone.

When using FaceTime can other devices on my account see my call?

No. However, you'll save yourself a lot of annoyance if each device has its own Apple ID for FaceTime/iMessage.

I can't upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8 because the MacBook is 32 bit. Just looking for a workaround as this is not a primary device.

You should update to the latest version of Snow Leopard, 10.6.8 - you can download it here; however it's still not compatible with iCloud and though you can connect to access your email you cannot access any other of iCloud's facilities.
However some people have been able to set up calendar syncing by using the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point. I've not tried it: use at your own discretion.
    To access the email:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard
Are you sure you can't upgrade to Lion? It requires an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which you may well have, though it also needs 2GB RAM so you might need to add additional RAM (might not be worth it for what you want). The published specs don't mention 32 or 64 bit. You can buy Lion by ringing the Apple Store at the number at bottom left of this page.

  • How do you receive iMessages from a device other than the iPhone they originally are being sent to?

I'm trying to receive iMessages from a phone other than my own. How do I receive them, I have both Apple IDs and both passwords but do not have current access to the phone I'm trying to get the iMessages from.

Do you have the other phone's Apple ID active in your iPhone iMessage setting? If not, then you would not get them. And, the person sending the iMessage would have to be sending to the Apple ID and not the phone number.

  • How do I stop receiving iMessages across all devices?

I have multiple apple devices setup to receive iMessages, but I have changed my main phone from iPhone to another phone and would like to stop receiving iMessages from my contacts. How do I disable iMessages from being sent by all of my contacts?

Settings>Messages. Turn it off. On every iDevice and Mac you have.

  • IOS 8 double tap allows other device with same Apple login to see who other is messaging

I have two iPhones with the same AppleID account.  The iMessaging for each device is set to only send or receive message and FaceTime from the phone number for each device to keep them separate.  If device A is in a text message and the home button on device B is double tapped a notification will be visible to show device A is in a text message.  Device B can then tap this notification and the person being text in Device A becomes available and a new message to that person is then opened.  Not acceptable.  I have tried to unlink the two devices in any way I now how.  No luck.  The screenshot below is what Device B sees if Device A is composing a message.

That's just the way it works, since you're using the same Apple ID on both. If you have a problem with that, go to http://apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

  • How do I stop my texts and pictures from going to other devices with same Apple ID

I share my Apple ID with my son on his Ipad and I phone.  how do I stop my photos and messages from automatically going to his devices.

It should be iMessages which are going from device to device, you can turn this off in recipient device. The same sort of thing for Photos, however on your phone/ipad you can turn off 'Photo Stream" which will stop the sending to other devices.  You can do this under Settings>Photos & Camera.

  • My iPod touch is struggling to receive iMessages from all devices.

My iPod touch cannot receive iMessages from one of our iPhones. It works from 2 others any ideas? The iPhone sends it directly as mms when started as new message.

Each device is set to receive at its own address. When I try to send iMessage to one iPod touch it works fine but to the other it says iMessage unavailable. When our other iPhone sends it to either iPod touch it works perfectly. My phone will not allow me start a new iMessage to either touch. They start as MMS. One device will allow me to reply to an iMessage with an iMessage but not the other one.

  • How can I disable receiving iMessages on my macbook pro?

I recently got a macbook pro & when setting up I selected to receive iMessages on my mac and I'm now realizing how incredibly annoying it is to be on my computer and have my phone next to me and receive notifcations on both. How can I turn iMessage off on my mac?

    The two are not related.
If you aren't receiving iMessages on your iPhone, try turning iMessage off and back on with your iPhone and/or sign out of your Apple ID with iMessage on your iPhone followed by logging back in with your Apple ID.
If you aren't receiving text messages - SMS/MMS, you need to contact your carrier.

  • Bluetooth in Win 8.1 doesn't receive file from other devices

First of all win 8.1 is the worst. The bluetooth connectivity is so tough that you have to restart your machine to connect to a device. Question is how to receive a file from a other device through bluetooth? PS: Win 7 connectivity was so much smoother, faster and easy!! Why MS why, do you make evrything difficult!

, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums.  Here is a link to help you with resolving bluetooth issue in windows 8.  But as for the question you have asked Microsoft I will have to provide you another link for that. HP PCs - Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 10, 8) And. Troubleshoot problems with Bluetooth enabled devices Now on a lighter note bluetooth was never really a champion of data transfer.  It can be compared to pushing a watermelon through a garden hose.  It is slower than dialup when it comes to data. Picking another connection media would be a better choice.
