Disable Right Click Zone

Before moving from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, I didn't have the right click zone (I used to do the two-finger gesture for right clicks). But after the upgrade, the right click zone appeared and I can't seem to remove it. It's really frustrating accidentally clicking in the right click zone when I do a left click since there are no physical divisions. Any suggestions on disabling the right click zone? I have a Synaptics Pointing Device v19.0.12.95. Thanks!

I understand that your Right Click Zone is on now that you have Upgraded to Windows 10. I did some research and came up with a couple different documents that may help you with the Right Click Zone on your Synaptics Pointing Device (TouchPad).
1. HP Notebook PCs - Using the HP Control Zone Touchpad (Windows 8): This document explains how to use the touchpad control zones, and how to change the settings to remove the control zones, if desired. 2. Using and Troubleshooting the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 8): If you want the TouchPad to function like a standard notebook mouse that does not use gestures, you can turn off these features. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating for Windows 10. The Windows 10 drivers will become available on the HP Drivers and Downloads Page for your product as they become available to HP. There are some drivers available there currently. Have a great day!

Disable right click zone w/ 18.0.7.34 driver?

Is it possible to disable the right click zone on the Thinkpad Yoga touchpad (bottom right area) when using the Synaptic Touchpad driver v. 18.0.7.34? I'm sure there's personal prefernce, but I find the right click zone makes the touchpad very finicky to use.
It looks like this used to be possible in previous driver versions? Can it be done via registry?
Happy I am able to disble tapping and edge swipe gestures. Lots of customizations possible...just need this last fix to make this touchpad awesome and a real competitor to the bar Apple has set.

I've encountered the same problem on the T440s. I found a workaround and posted the solution over at my blog. Maybe you can try what I tried and it will work on your machine as well.

Disable right click zone of the touchpad?

Is there any way to disable the right-click zone of the touchpad on my T440s? The lower right corner seems to be permanently mapped to a right click with one finger, which is completely unnecessary given that I use two fingers for a right click. Disabling this would make the touchpad behavior much more predictable.

Need to at least remove the save as feature but ideally disable right click all together.

You can't hide the right-click context menu, but you can hide items in the right-click context menu via an extension like the Menu Editor or via code in the userChrome.css file in the chrome folder.

As far as I know, RRI works at the level of record, not column... So for any column in any record where you right click and select Go To, you'll get the settings from RSBBS...
Fields and settings specified in Assignment Details are for those parameters to be transferred to the target, not for determining what columns accept the right-click or not...

However, there is no way you can prevent someone from making a screenshot of the image as it is displayed on the screen no matter what application you use to create the web page.
You can add a watermark to dissuade the casual "thief" but those who are serious about stealing the photo for their own use can remove the watermark with some effort.

Hi All,
Please let us know how to disable right click option re-size on table column header.
The issue is that when I right click on the column header, the column is selected and the context menu with options like Sort, Columns, Resize Columns, etc.. is popping. we want to disable column re-size option.
We are binding the table values programatically (not using Bc4J) and the Jdeveloper version is 11.1.2.2

Thanks for the reply.
This will make the particular column frozen and only work for that particular column.
My use case is that to remove the resize columns option from the context menu or to disable the right click option.
Making column selection as none will disable the right click option but we need column selection for sorting.
Is there any other way to achieve this?

If you search google with "javascript disable right click" you will get loads of javascript code. This will also help you to gain knowledge.
@Explanation to last post : You need to import standard logon par file in NWDS. Create javascript file to disable right click and then include this file in your logon page. i think login page name is portalLogin.jsp and then deploy this new PAR file.

Now if I have javascript disabled visiting your site, I can easily get around this because the code will not execute. Also I can simply view the source of your website and get the images. My suggestion to you is to rethink this because all you will end up doing is annoying visitors and make them want to get your images even more. The more you block people from something the more they want it. It's like telling a kid they can't have candy or something then they want it more.

Even if you could - basically impossible. All anyone viewing your site would have to do is a "screen grab" On a Mac (Command+Shift+4). Also they could using any browser. I.E. Firefox, select, Tools > Page Info > Media and there are all the images on that page. You can then just download these.
The only thing that can minimize this is to not make your images too big, 600 to 700 px max and put a watermark on the picture. See one of my sites below. Yes the water mark can be erased with Photoshop etc. However these lowlifes that steal you images, most likely don't even know what Photoshop is!
