Disable Rpt file format from export options

Hi all,
I would like to know if there is a way to remove/hide/disbale export to Crystal Report (Rpt) file format from the list when u run a report in the Crystal Reports.com ?

Hello,
You are correct. Non-administrator users will not be able to download an rpt file from crystalreports.com if that checkbox on the report's properties page is unchecked. As a side note - this checkbox also appears on the report upload page if you want to enable download right from the beginning.
Users will still be able to export the report to other formats like PDF or word though. We do not have a way to block that yet.
This checkbox is only available for report documents since the very nature of PDF or office documents involves users downloading them to be able to view them.

Hi, I have an issue concearning existing file formats for export in Flash CS4.
According to the user's manual in Italian I have found, http://help.adobe.com/it_IT/Flash/10.0_UsingFlash/WS0E26E472-1533-4297-A904-59476E8E1935.h tml
available formts include EPS and AI.
As far as AI is concearned, I have this option but exported AI files are hard to open in Illustrator, since a number of problems appear.
If I separate all groups in Flash and then export to AI format, Illustrator finally opens the AI file, but changing the colours and the shape of my design.
Moreover, no dialogue box for Illustrator version options appear when I choose AI for export, as is described in the support page.
As to EPS file format, it is not in the export file dialogue box, the formats I have are JPG, PNG, GIF, EMF, WMF, BMP.
My point is that I draw in Flash, then I need to export the designs in Illustrator for print optimization, but the content changes dramatically, if I actually can open the files.
Caould anyone help me?

I am unsure about the Illustrator export, as I have never needed to do this, nor do I have CS4.
The EPS reads as a printer option, not an export one:
"An EPS file can be printed with a PostScript printer. ... This format has no definable export options"

What exact file format for exporting AVCHD to HDD of Sony HDR-SR12E (AVCHD) Handycam?

When you are finished editing AVCHD files with Adobe Premiere Elements 11, what is the correct file format for exporting back to the hard drive of the Sony HDR-SR12E handycam?
I used Sony Play Memories software to import AVCHD (.m2Ts) files at 1920x1080i PAL resolution. I tried rendering to several file formats after editing, but the files could not be exported in high definition back to the hard drive of the AVCHD camera.
I WAS able to import files from camera in Play Memories and then export them straight back to camera WITHOUT any editing, but of course you wouldn't bother doing this normally.
I grew to love using Premiere Elements 10 for editing sd footage from my mini dv camera. However, I've just purchased the AVCHD handycam and expect to receive my newly purchased copy of Premiere Elements 11 in a couple of days.
Can anybody suggest the correct file format to produce for exporting AVCHD footage edited in PE11 originally captured on the Sony HDR-SR12E back to the camera?

Premiere Elements 10 has the Share/Tape (Record to DV). And, even that is for just DV, not HDV. There is no such choice in Premiere Elements 11 and 12.
So, you are going to have to match up the properties of the original with Export settings and try to get the file exported onto the camera's hard drive if that is possible. Does the Sony user guide give instructions for how to import one of your video to its hard drive?
The theory depends on how close you want the export of the edit to match the camera's original. There is no .m2ts file extension in any of the Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD choices. If the .m2ts file extension is a must..
One scheme to get a AVCHD.m2ts 1920 x 1080i25 for your camera's hard drive - lots of ifs
1. Publish+Share/Disc/AVCHD and burn to folder using presets = H.264 1920 x 1080i PAL Dolby.
(The preset cannot be customized so you will go with the Adobe bitrate.for the preset)
2. Then go to the folder saved to the computer's hard drive, open the BDMV Folder, then the STREAM Folder of the BDMV Folder, and use the 00000.m2ts file there as your file destined for your camera's hard drive.
If the hard drive will accept ..m2t, then you could use Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD with Presets = M2T - H.264 1920 x 1080i25 and customize the export settings under the Advanced Tab/Video Tab and Audio Tab.
Please review and then let us know if any of this works for you.

But, what is the file format I have to use

If you do not specify the file name,
–In Non-ACS mode all the devices from DCR will be exported to the specified server.
–In ACS mode, only the devices that are not configured in ACS will be exported from DCR to the specified server.
The file format is the same as when you export the devices from DCR. If you perform an export to a CSV for example, the tool will use that last file unless another file is specified.

Is it possible to change each exported JPEG file name from "Export JPEG Slideshow"?

It is convenient to add each image name as a text on each figure by Slideshow.
Could I use each image name as the exported file name?

You can follow the steps below to assign custom names to export files:
File Naming
Choose an option from the Rename To pop-up menu.
If you chose an option that uses custom text, enter the custom name in the Custom Text box.
If you use a numeric sequence and you don’t want it to start with “1,” enter a different value in the Start Number text box.
For more options, choose Rename To > Edit.

Fastest file format for Export in Lightroom? [Need quickest lossless workflow.]

I am currently using TIFF 8-bit LZW compression, but its still REALLY slow. About 10 seconds per photo.
I forgot to set the RAW file size in my camera to S-RAW to make it just a bit bigget than the 1080P footage I will later output them to.
I was wondering if there was a file format that was lossless but is quickest to export to from lightroom.?

9X% of the time is for converting the raw to rgb, and only 0X% for encoding the rgb for final output format. So, the answer to your question is:
there is no fastest format for exporting.
If you want quick lossless exports, the only solution I know of is to adopt a 2-stage pipeline:
* Apply baseline adjustments to raw (e.g. white-balance, lens corrections, noise reduction, "capture" sharpening), and export 16-bit tiff back to catalog (hopefully, this is only done once, or at least very infrequently).
* Apply further adjustments to tiff.
The tiff will export faster than the raw, since it has the benefit of starting with already rendered RGB data.
Far from ideal, I know, and personally - I wouldn't bother. But it's the best I got for ya...
If you want quick lossy exports, then use PreviewExporter.

How do I use "Generate" to produce multiple file formats from the "Default" layer?

I have a Photoshop file with ~50 layers, each with unique file names for images I want to create. I want to produce in both .png and .svg file formats for each layer.
Rather than adding the code to each layer individually can multiple file formats be assigned on the "Default" layer? What is the correct syntax to do that?
Something like:
default 100% .png, svg/ *.svg
... to generate the .png versions and then also create a folder called "svg" that contains all the .svg versions of those images?

I entered TM and found the sparsebundle under the Filesync library. However, it appears NOT to be recoverable and I tried double clicking on it but it doesnt do anything other than show a summary of what it is.
By the way, I really do appreciate your comments and agree completely. Something strange happened with my syncing of Idisk (which is set to "automatic"). It has been working fine for years. But for some reason, it stopped two days ago and did not let me know. When I tried to put something manually on it (through drag/drop), it never showed up on the Idisk on the cloud which made me notice and check it out by going to Mobileme through the browser. I then went to the tech service for Idisk and they explained that something probably got corrupted so just hit STOP syncing and then hit Automatic again. Which is what I did. Then everything from the cloud went to my Idisk on my computer and for some reason, the latest version of my excel spread sheet for attendance showed two days ago, not last night. so I lost wed/thursday classes. I KNOW it was on my Laptop which is backed up to TM every morning.. Thats why I believe that the latest file IS on my TM backup for this morning. But I can't get to it. Any other help would be appreciated.

How do I use m2ts movie file format from my old pc with FCP on my mac?

I have recently moved from a PC to a iMac. I have a large number of Sony AVCHD movie files, which were imported to my PC and are in the m2ts file format on my PC. The original files on my Sony camera were deleted so these files are now all I have. Also, for each movie clip on my PC there are 3 files....a very large m2ts file along..... with two very small file....one is a .modd file and the other a .moff file.
I now want to use these m2ts files (and if needed possibly these other two smaller files) on my Mac make movies with either iMovie or Final Cut Pro. and don't know how to import them or convert them for use on my Mac. Can anyone help?
One final question. Can FCP author DVD's or is separate software required. Apple has discontinued iDVD for iMovie (which I find rediculous) and so I'm worried they don't support making DVD's with FCP.

Although I don't use Toast I know lots of people who do and like it for a variety of purposes; for example, many people author in DVDSP and burn disks using Toast. But there are a lot of versions and they have differing features and capability. Do a search in these (or iDVD) forums you'll find plenty of info. Don't know about the other app. Again, if you ask Apple, they may come through with iDVD…they have for others.
Clipwrap quality limitations? Try the trial and test the results for yourself. As far as I know the trial is fully freatured but there is a one minute clip limitation (which doesn't apply to the paid version).

How to Choose File format of Exported Clip

I needed a clip from my movie for use in Live Type so I created Sub Clip from a longer duration clip and then exported it as QT movie. Or I thought I was doing that but the only choice of format I was given was .dv. How do you choose .mov or other format from the Export to QT menu choice?

Choose export to quicktime with conversion. Select mov, and under video, select animation codec.

Temporary *.rpt file disappears from temporary directory on Websphere Application Server 6

Hello,
I'm having trouble after publishing to my WAS v6 environment. The report will begin, creating the appropriate jrc_tmp_######.rpt file in my temporary directory.
For small reports (10 objects or less), the temporary report disappears, I am queried for my login and any parameters, then the report opens. The temp file never comes back. All subsequent requests for the report from *any computer* return with an I/O Error and this later in the log file:
Caused by: java.util.zip.ZipException: ¤u2022'u2022-¦u2022@u0192-"-(tm)...¢¢u2030-u2022@"...£u02C6-
Any reports with > 10 objects (any combination of data fields, text, images, formulas) the temporary report disappears and only the same I/O error appears.
In my test env. on windows, using the Rational Application Developer v 7 WAS test server, the temporary report stays until the report times out...
Has anyone else on WAS 6 had similar problems? I've no idea how to proceed.

Would you be able to do one test?
Early builds of the IBM Java JRE 1.3 and 1.4 had issues with the JIT compiler that caused strange IOExceptions.
Would you try, in the WebSphere admin console, turning off the JIT for the JRC application, to see if the problem goes away?
If so, I recommend upgrading to the latest IBM Java JRE build for your version of the Java SDK.

Changes in RPT file - Upgrade from CR 2008 to CR 2011

Hi,
We have more than 500 Crystal reports 2008 in XI 3.1 and we will be upgrading to BI 4.0 soon.
We will be migrating the contents using Upgrade Manager Tool from old CMS/BIAR to new 4.0 CMS. CR 2008 will be automatically upgraded to CR 2011 when we use UMT.
Does this automatic upgrade change the rpt file?
Is there any change we will see when we open the report in 4.0?

Upgrade process will not make any changes to your .rpt file and also you will not see any changes / modifications in your report on BI4.0.
Here we are migrating from 3.1 to BI4.0, this will just transfer your reports from one server to another server that it. If you open your .rpt files in CR2011 and make some changes (add new functionality) and publish on your BI4.0 then only you will see the change.

Disable "This file comes from another computer"

Hi, on all my adobe forms when i click on the properties, I see the message
"This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer"
ever since i started getting this message, adobe forms don't work anymore and throws an error that the document properties have changed. I searched for a solution for this, but found many for fixing on Vista enterprise, but i run a vista home basic version. What do i need to do to resovle this issue that i can start using adobe forms again.

I have to agree with others here. I have also encountered this same issue today. Cannot even download a friggin PDF. Absolutely ridiculous. Stop with all this security crap, because all it does is slow down
my workforce while they all try and figure out whats going on. We as users do not write this software, MS does. So why is it we the users have to jump through a zillion hoops to make your crap work. You (MS) should be doing this.

The ONLY reason I would still need IE, is if I need to get to some MS site where once again, MS has created the Monopoly situation where I can ONLY use IE to get to these sites. Utterly bogus. No wonder everyone is beginning to hate you.
Another item is your new Compatibility view. Another nightmare to deal with. Managing my domain through various web interfaces, and I am always having to switch between modes depending on the application. Another huge waste of time.

Customizing Excel File format for "Export to Excel" command

we are developing a classic planning application using Hyperion 11.1.2.2
There is a option in Hyperion web through which user can Export data to Excel from Data from; via following procedure:
Open Data Form which you want to Export
Once data form go to Tool -> Export to Excel; this will open up an excel with with that dataform loaded in it.
I am wondering is there any way to customize that excel file ; like changing font color, font size etc in excel file

The one which you are going to get from the export would be a static file and you cant get POV as a drop down even to select , for color you can validations which will give you color based on some condition etc.

Files missing from exports

This is now getting ridiculous. I'm on Windows 8.1 and have updated all of my Adobe products: AE, Premier etc. to the very latest versions.
So this is happening: when I go to export a composition, certain files within the composition don't make the final export. It now happens so often with such regularity as to cause so many hours of lost work time. I never had this problem until the updates.
For example: working on a comp with many different elements, including some files from Videocopilot Element. Half the time these Element files don't make the final export. The exported file will have all of the other components EXCEPT the 3D files. This problem seems to occur more if I use the Media Encoder, which I am mostly forced to if I want the h.264 version. If I use the built-in render machine, this does not seem to happen.
This also occurs if I import the AE file directly into my Premier project.
But, this similar thing is happening in Premier. My last project gave me hell as certain audio segments would not export to the final project. [obscenity removed by moderator]
There are some serious issues going on with these new upgrades. Please, Adobe, help us out.
Again, I never had any of these issues before the updates.

Does this issue of items not appearing in the final render happen with layers containing Element 3d only?
If not, what other kinds of effects are applied to layers that don't appear?
If it's just Element, I'd check for an update on VCP's end and/or file bug reports with their support team.
I'd suggest rendering to an intermediate codec and then bring that file into the Media Encoder to make your h.264 in the meantime.
