Disable Security  Alert while redirecting for secure to non secure mode.

Hi Experts,
I am new to the portal and came accross a very different kind of requirement for which i need you advice.
On pressing the Logout button on the portal, the navigation/control is redirecting to the non secure Http website. My portal is on Https site. Now the issue is upon logging out I am getting the security Alert " You are about to direct to a connection that is non secure. Do you want to continue? "
Now I have a requirement to suppress or remove this pop up. I do understand that this is the IE functionality to show the pop message and I have already uncheck the check box under Internet Options -> Advanced -> miscellaneous -> Warn if changiung between Secure to non secure.
Please suggest !
Thanks

  • Disable Popup Alerts While Writing Text or Email?

    Is there any way to disable the annoying alerts that pop up while you're in the middle of writing an email or a text? I'll be right in the middle of typing something and the alert will pop up; next thing I know I've hit the alert with my thumb and {{ whoosh }} off I go into some completely other place. It's so freaking annoying! But I don't want to disable the alerts all together--only while I'm typing. Alerts are the only way I know if I received a message since the iPhone has no blinking light or other reminder.  Anyone else annoyed by this? Any known fixes/workarounds/solutions out there?

    They're email alerts. When I'm typing a text message or email and I receive a text or an email, the alert for that text or email pops up right in the middle of my screen while I'm typing (see picture) so I accidentally hit the alert and either hit "Close" or "Options" by accident. If I hit "Options," I've sometimes accidentally hit "Trash" and then I have no idea what the alert was even for. I use my iPhone for business and I've lost opportunities because I've accidentally trashed things.
    Surely I can't be the only person this is happening to.

  • Security Alert / Revocation info for the sec cert since installing JRE 6u31

    We've been trying to keep up with getting the latest JRE client installed in our environment but since we rolled out update 31, our helpdesk is being flooded with calls with getting a popup box
    "Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?"
    Yes/No/View Certificate
    The cert is issued to javadl-esd-secure.oracle.com
    It affects all of our Windows users and all of which have IE 9, and it affects our standard users with no local admin rights and our SAs who do have local admin rights. Nothing on our network has changed other than going from update 30 to update 31.
    I saw a thread on this forum regarding this the day update 31 from another SA and he was having the exact same issue we were and a couple of people posted follow-ons to it ....now, when I go to that link I get "The specified message [10187748] was not found. "
    We've tried installing Java 7update 4 but that has its own problems.
    If we roll back to update 30, the problem goes away until the automatic updater starts nagging you to update.
    As far as what I've folktale answers I've found online:
    "make sure the time is set correctly" - check, we set time off an NTP hosted in our home state.
    "Silent installer is the problem" - Can't blame this - never used a silent installer - we've only installed via downloading the offline version of update 31, and use the web installer stub and both of those cause problems.
    Is there a way to fix this aside from going into every profile and changing the certificate purposes, or is Oracle going to get around to fixing their cert?

    Hello,
    We have spent some time looking into this and we are not able to reproduce this and suspect that it could be an issue on the machines were the installation is taking place, or due to a networking issue. This is not an attempt to just toss is back and say 'not our problem'. We were certainly concerned with this post and wanted to verify that our certs and the revocation list does not have issues.
    Third Party document on various causes for this error:
    http://www.brighthub.com/internet/security-privacy/articles/82291.aspx
    - Update Root certs
    - Time/date out of sync, lear SSL state
    - re-register the dll files
    Microsoft article about with possible issues, the article is limited to Windows 2000, though it may apply to other versions:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308087
    - Clear the Automatically detect proxy
    - Use a proxy server for this connection, enter address and port number of the proxy server that you use
    Also, we found we were able to access the revocation list through our internet network as well as outside our network. Not being able to access the revocation list could be an issue. Here is that URL:
    http://crl.usertrust.com/USERTrustLegacySecureServerCA.crl
    If you are able to identify an issue with cert or if the above solutions do not resolve the issue, please update this thread. Also update the thread if one of these does indeed solve the issue. It is always good to share what worked with others who could be seeing the same issue.

  • Disabling document downloads while allowing for online editing.

    With IRM I know that you can prevent documents from being downloaded as well as printed, but whenever I do so, it disables the ability to edit the document.  Is it an integrated setting where I can only have both or neither?  I am not concerned
    with people obtaining the data through online editing, but rather just removing the save/download option so it lowers the chance of user error.  The people are trained and informed, I just want to limit the chances of sensitive data being accidentally
    downloaded.

    That should be possible in 2013 with Office Web Apps. This is the guide for Office 365 but I think you can configure the same settings with on premise.
    http://www.dotnetmafia.com/blogs/dotnettipoftheday/archive/2013/03/28/configuring-and-using-irm-with-office-365-and-sharepoint-online.aspx
    That implies that you should be able to the behaviour so that it's just in OWA...?

  • ACE maintenance page for HTTPS connection (non offloaded mode)?

    Hello experts
    how do we configure a "redirected" maintenance page for HTTPS Serverfarm when the serverfarm is down/probefailed?
    lets say users are accessing https://xyz.com, and if the serverfarm is down, I want users to get redirected to https://abc.com or even http://abc.com
    (getting a certificate error or a https to http redirection error is acceptable)
    What i understand from TAC, since we are not terminating SSL on ACE, we have few restrcitions on using redirect. Thereafter, TAC hasnt been too helpful on this query.
    HTTPS connection is directly terminated on Server with certificate.  And we are using SSL Session Stickyness on ACE  (I know not the best thing to do..)
    Pls. assist.

    so do i assume there is no way to do this without using ACE for SSL termination?
    In our case, not using ACE for termiating SSL connections is to draw a line between Network and System administration, a business requirement.
    Thanks for your replies.

  • Oracle Security Alert for CVE-2012-1675

    Hi,
    I want to know more about recent release "Oracle Security Alert" : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alert-cve-2012-1675-1608180.html
    Document available in https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&id=1453883.1
    Fix is about Class of Secure Transport (COST). I need to know about elaborate steps to find out whether this change is need to apply to my databases or not.
    About my DBs : 10.2.4 , AIX, Nondefault Listener, Shared env , non RAC, local_listener is null & running in pfile.
    Thx,
    Gowin.

    Hello;
    Apply it. Very clean. Simple. No outage on Non-RAC. Biggest Impact is listener stop and start. Took about 3 minutes per server.
    Tested today and had zero issues. ( Assumed you understood a CONNECT was part of the test ). Zero issues.
    Had a thread on this here a few days ago :
    Oracle TNS Poison vulnerability
    See Oracle Support Note 1453883.1 for additional information.
    Best Regards
    mseberg
    With all due respect this isn't very hard. Make a decision.

  • Wrong PDF on Security Alerts Page

    On the Security Alerts page (http://otn.oracle.com/deploy/security/alerts.htm) there is a link next to "Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in Oracle9iAS Reports Server Alert #35, 05 June 2002" which links to a document called http://otn.oracle.com/deploy/security/pdf/reports6i_alert.pdf
    This document is actually a copy of the document for a different vulnerability "Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in Oracle Net (Oracle9i Database Server) Alert #34, 05 June 2002"
    Please fix it so we can read about the 9iAS Reports Server Alert!
    Thanks,
    -Otto

    Hi Otto,
    This should now be fixed on OTN but please let us know if you encounter any difficulties.

  • Trying to download Adobe Master Suite trial version and windows security alert

    I am trying to download a trial version of adobe master suite but when I sigin in with my adobe ID a security alert pops up saying " Windowes security alert revocation informaiton for this certificate is not available, do you want to proceed?"
    I press yes but notihng happens it keeps popping up.
    My computer sits behind a firewall and proxy.  It may be useful to know if your install process accesses any TCP or UDP ports other than 80 and 443?
    Also if there is a solution for iths.
    Thanks

    Nothing to do with Adobe. Talk to your IT department and how they handle certificates and local security in your intranet. The default port for any HTTP communication is 8080, so yes, if it's globally blocked/ rewired, then there may be issues with downloads. In any case, this is nothing anyone around here can resolve for you.

  • Forgot your answer : send request security info does not appear under password and security

    When going into My Apple Id then Password and Security, it is looking for you to answer security questions. I have forgotten them. The option on the bottom where you can send the request security info does not appear. I have tried different computers and different operating systems but still cannot get the option to appear.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

  • Ajax Login both secure and non secure url

    Does anyone know if there is a way to use ajax to log a user in for both the non secure and secure url. Normally if you're submitting a log in form over the secure url with the non secure url in the referrer parameter it will log you in on both domains but not via ajax. Anyone have a good work around?

    Here’s the code I’ve used…
    {% if Settings.Site_Live -%}
    {% assign redirectHTTP = "" -%}
    {% assign redirectDOMAIN = Settings.Site_URL -%}
    {% assign redirectEXTEND = "" -%}
    {% else -%}
    {% assign redirectHTTP = "http%3a%2f%2f" -%}
    {% assign redirectDOMAIN = Settings.System_Name -%}
    {% assign redirectEXTEND = ".fueldesign.co.nz" -%}
    {% endif -%}
    {% capture redirectURL -%}{{redirectHTTP}}{{redirectDOMAIN}}{{redirectEXTEND}}{% endcapture -%}
    <form class="form--box escapeWorldSecureSystems" method="post" action="https://{{Settings.System_Name}}.worldsecuresystems.com/ZoneProcess.aspx?ZoneID=51&amp;Referrer={{ redirectURL}}&amp;OID=&amp;OTYPE=" data-parsley-validate>
    Note: I have a Settings collection that has a lot of data from a Settings web app that controls a lot of settings for the website, such as “Site_Live” checkbox etc. this allows my sign-ins to be generic and editable site to site.
    And here’s the development URL where I’m working on this. (don’t just my site during development stage lol)
    http://astrolift.fueldesign.co.nz/ <http://astrolift.fueldesign.co.nz/>
    username: dev
    password: dev123
    Hopt this gives you some inspiration.
    Let us know if you get the ajax working.
    Cheers guys

  • How to disable security alert  coming from ssl?

    Hello friends,
    I am developing an internal site for which i am using SSL for the security of the data.
    But i am getting security alert because iam using an IP address or machine short name in the URL to access it.
    Any other way to disable this alert.
    If it is not possible to disable the security alert can any body guide how to achieve security on the network..
    Which means i want a way to encrypt any given data string with the help of java script and the output encrypted string should be given as a input to the java code(servlet) to decrypt the encrypted string to its original form.
    Please any one help me with the code.
    I will be very thankful to you all.
    Thanks.

    While one of SSL's goals is to protect the transmission of data over networks through encryption, another goal is allow client and server applications to verify the integrity of their connections - by verifying that they are connected to whom the software claims to be. The client application (the browser as an example) does this verification by ensuring that the server site you've accessed in the URL, matches the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) in either the SubjectDN or the AlternateSubjectName extension of the digital certificate being used by the web-server to enable SSL. (Servers can also verify client software connections by asking for a client certificate; unfortunately 99.99% of web-sites do not use this little-known feature).
    If the server uses an SSL certificate called "mysecuresite.company.com", and you access the server as "mysecuresite" or with its IP address, you are, essentially, tripping on the very code in the SSL library designed to protect you - by throwing up a security alert about the site you've just accessed, which tells you that the site you've accessed does not match the name in the digital certificate.
    The simplest way to avoid the security alert is to use the FQDN of the web-server when you access the site. There are other complex ways of solving the problem, but the simplest is often the best. Besides, it will help to educate your users with this simple fact about SSL - you never know when this knowledge might be helpful to them.

  • Disable IE 10 & 11 Security Alert popup w/ Group Policy

    We get a Security Alert popup when accessing a https site
    "You are abut to view pages over a secure connection....."
    With previous version of IE, user can simply check box for "In the future, do not show this warning" and it will not pop up again, however, w/ the new IE 10 and IE 11, it keeps coming back.  What is the group policy rule to disable this pop
    up?
    Thanks in advance.
    Roget Luo

    Hi Roget,
    It seems that we can enable the following setting to block the warning message:
    Computer Configuration/User Configuration > Adminstrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer >Turn off the Security
    Settings Check feature
    Besides, apart from group policy, if we just want to individually block the message, the following article can be referred to for more information.
