Disable "shift + 1 " shortcut in Planning

Is it possible to disable the shortcut "shift + 1 " in the WebForm ? This shortcut lock the cells.

You can disable drill through in the FDM adaptor options, set "Enable Drillable Region Load" to off.
You will need to clear and reload the data if it has already been loaded with the drillable option on.

Hello,
In TIGER as well as LEOPARD, how do I disable the Cmd-Shift-B shortcut that launches Bluetooth File Exchange? I had found "Services Manager" for Jaguar PPC but that will not run on my MacBook Pro.
I am tired of not being able to type Cmd-Shift-B to make text bold in my other applications!

The shortcut to open the Bluetooth File Exchange in the service menu stands in the info.plist file inside of the Application Package.
Open the Bluetooth File Exchange Application with the contextual menu. Then open the folder Contents.
When you have an Plist Editor, open the file "info.plist" with the Editor and delete the entry "NSKeyEquivalent" in the Path "NSServices > 0".
Have you not an Plist Editor, open the file with TextEdit and delete the entry:
<key>NSKeyEquivalent</key>
<dict>
<key>default</key>
<string>B</string>
</dict>
Then logout and login again.
If this work under 10.5, can i not say.
And before you make changes, make a backup of this file.

How to disable "shift-option" from zooming out in InDesign?

Hi all,
This truly is driving me crazy...how can I disable the "shift-option" shortcut so that I do not zoom out in InDesign? I have searched through the keyboard shortcuts but cannot find where or how to disable this:( I use the shortcut a LOT when I am drag-copying something that needs to be on the same horizontal or vertical line as the the item I am copying from.

I haven't had time to come back here and post a reply because I've been so incredibly busy working on a catalog. I do have to say that this zooming out is KILLING me and cutting heavily into production time. This was not happening in ID CS5 and only seems to have been happening with ID CS6. There is no third key and it doesn't seem to happen ALWAYS...so I am completely baffled. Normally it is when I shift-option drag an object. Sometimes even just option-dragging an object causes it to happen. I just don't know what is causing this or what I can disable to stop it from happening:(

When interacting with a Flash movie embedded in the browser,
it doesn't appear that you can easily use Javascript to intercept
the key presses. Based on the tests I've done, it seems that the
Flash movie receives the key presses and then passes them on to the
browser, rather than the other way round as one might expect.
I think the best (and possibly only) way to prevent default
browser functionality from triggering would be to create a little
movie in Flash that prevents key presses from being passed on to
the browser, then bring that movie in as an animation on the slide
where you want the key to be blocked.
You might also want to submit a feature request to Adobe to
add the ability to indicate whether a Shortcut key gets passed on
to the browser when pressed.

Disable Shift Slow Motion Effect

I need to disable the keyboard shortcut that slows animations on OSX Lion. I take many many screen captures for work from video samples, and the keyboard shortcut for that is Command+Shift+3 which I like. But in Lion, it slows the Play Controls from fading away so slow that it's really slowing my progress. Any suggestions? I found an old thread where some smartass suggested not holding shift.... Please do not suggest that. There is someone who knows how to do it. Also I found a terminal command in other forums but it didn't work "probably a keylogger...."

Try changing the shortcut for screen capture.
Go to System Prefferences > Keyboard and choose screen shots in the left colmun
click on the current shortcut and then enter your own

Bug Synopsis: CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts do not work in LabVIEW. Most notably, CTRL+SHIFT+Z, CTRL+SHIFT+E, and CTRL+SHIFT+S
Test setup: LV2012 32bit with f1 patch running in Win7 64bit inside a Parallels 8 VM in OS X 10.8.1
To summarize the testing I have tried:
Many different LabVIEW, Guest OS, and Host OS combinations all fail, including:
LV2012f1 32 and 64 bit, and LV2009 32 bit
Win7 32 and 64bit, and also WinXP x64
Parallels 7 and Parallels 8
OS X 10.7 and 10.8
Capturing the keyboard by the VM
Twiddling every keyboard setting possible on Parallels, Guest, and Host
Reinstalling keyboard drivers
Plugging in a known-good keyboard that works on a native Windows machine
Deleting LabVIEW.ini and letting it regenerate
Remapping the shortcuts from, e.g., CTRL+SHIFT+E to CTRL+E - in this case, "Show in Project" works, so this might indicate it's a problem registering the shortcut press, not invoking the action itself.
Sending the keystrokes via on-screen keyboards from both Guest and Host
Sending the keystrokes via SendInput from user32.dll WinAPI
Testing every imaginable combo of FN, CONTROL, ALT/OPTION, COMMAND/CMD, SHIFT
Reinstalling VMs from scratch and reinstalling LV
Here's a kicker: CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts work fine on other Windows programs (I've tried 4 different programs, including Chrome, Notepad++, Paint.NET), yet it does NOT work for VIPM with CTRL+SHIFT+C. This means that the only two programs where the CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha bugs exist are both LabVIEW-related.
Here's another kicker: It's only CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts with the prob - CTRL+SHIFT+3 properly toggles grid alignment, and the "Tools >> Options >> Menu shortcuts" will register any CTRL+SHIFT+Non-alpha shortcut; it just does not respond to the CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts.
Any new troubleshooting ideas are highly appreciated; please feel free to jump in here or on LAVA.

Cmd+Shift+L shortcut (shortcut for google search) is not working after I upgraded Safari to 5.1

Has anybody figured a way of restoring this?
Not broken here, still working fine as always. Have you tried repairing permissions or creating a new user account and seeing if the problem persists there? It's an issue with your install, as a guess. Working fine on all the Mac's around here with Safari 4.04

Cmd-Shift-L shortcut broken in 4.0.4

Hi - I just upgraded to Safari 4.0.4 and found that the cmd-shift-L shortcut (which opens a google search for highlighted text in an active new tab) is no longer functioning. Has anybody figured a way of restoring this? I have come to depend on it since acidsearch's unfortunate demise.

Is there a way to permanantly disable the F7 shortcut for cadet browsing?

I'd like to use the F7 button as a hotkey to play/pause my media player, however whenever I press it I get prompted about "cadet browsing". Checking the "Do not show me this dialogue box again" has no effect, it will continue to pop up.

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false on the about:config page if you do not want to use this feature.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

HT2448 Disable Sleep keyboard shortcut

Does anyone know how to disable the Sleep shortcut? I couldn't find it in the Keyboard preferences where other shortcuts can be enabled/disabled.

It's not a one-stroke shortcut, but if there is a power button/key on the keyboard, hitting it will bring up a multi-choice dialog. The default (return key choice) is Shutdown, but hitting the "s" key will select the Sleep choice, and the Mac will go to sleep. So two keystrokes.

Why am I unable to use Ctrl+Shift keyboard shortcuts in the Kotoeri input method on OS X 10.9?

For some reason I'm unable to switch from Hiragana to Katakana and vice versa using the Ctrl+Shift+K and Ctrl+Shift+H keyboard shortcuts when using the Kotoeri IME. The shortcuts appear in the IME menu in the menubar.
Have these shortcuts been changed in OS X Mavericks and the menu not updated, or does the menu not actively reflect the current keyboard shortcut settings? I'm using OS X 10.9.1 (if that helps at all).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

But I hate that iPhoto acts up when trying to skip/pause the iTunes playback, while browsing my photos.
Is there a way to turn of/disable the shortcuts for iPhoto only?

This turns up regularly and I'm afraid no one has found a way so far.
