Disable "Show a picture from a web address"

Is there a way to disable this feature in the Lync client?

Determines whether or not photos (of both the user and his or her contacts) will be displayed in Lync 2010. Valid settings are:
NoPhoto - Photos are not displayed in Lync 2010.
PhotosFromADOnly - Only photos that have been published in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) can be displayed.
AllPhotos - Either Active Directory photos or custom photos can be displayed.
The default value is AllPhotos.
The appropriate command to disable this feature globally would be:
set-csclientpolicy -identity global -displayphoto photosfromadonly

If i understand what you are saying then you are seeing the WiFi indicator after connecting but Apps are saying that they are not connected to the internet?
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be to restart your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

How to download pictures from the web with their URLs?

How do you download pictures from the Web so that they automatically have their URL addresses in their "Comments" section of the Get Info window? I thought Safari did this automatically, but it's not happening for me.

When you say to open the image in another window, do you mean another Safari window? When I do and right click on the image, I don't get the "Inspect Element" option. I have tried your other suggestion, and that doesn't work either.
So.... I'm still puzzled...
I am also working in the same version of Safari (4.0.4) but this may be because I have the "Develop" menu (between Bookmarks and Window). If you do not, that will not be available to you. I can tell you how to get this, but as a newer user, this may be (for now) more information than you want.
However, if you do open that image in a new window, the toolbar will display the URL of the image.
As to the other solution, I may not have explained this clearly enough. Let me suggest another route to the same idea. With an image in a web page, drag it to the desktop. When it is on the desktop, highlight the image (click once) and then use the Finder > File menu and the item, Get Info. The large panel that opens will give the URL and this works for any file downloaded from the internet, which makes it a useful security check too.

I figured out my problem...... I have custom text tones set up for certain ppl and had the default text tone set to "none" well with the iOS6 update it made it so if your default text tone is set on "none" then you won't hear what I call the send and recieve text sounds when in a converstation... if you change the default text tone to any text tone other than "none" you will get your send and recieve sounds back.... kinda annoying if you don't won't random texts from ppl waking you up... so I made a custon text tone that is called silence with just recording a few seconds of dead noise then edited it and turned all the sound levels down to 0 and set that as my default text tone.... now I have the send and recieve text sounds in a conversation and everything is fine! Sorry Nehucskter the first time I had this problem thats the first thing I did was reboot my phone.... first thing you do for everything lol....

In Firefox, right click over the image you want to copy and select "Copy Image".
Go to your email application and then right-click and "Paste".
This should work.
I notice that you are using an older version of Firefox, so it might be worth upgrading to the newest version Firefox 6.0.2.

Show a picture from Application server

Let me reframe my question i asked earlier in this post.
I want to show a picture which is stored in Application server in my report/dialog program/smartform.
How do i do that? I don't want to upload the photo using SE78 for Smartforms. Any ways of directly picking the photo from application server, and showing it in the report / dialog program? I have other data in the program too besides the photo. So actually the output is a combination of lots of text and one photo in a corner, like a CV.

You can certainly display a Picture on a dialog screen with the class CL_GUI_PICTURE using a custom control on the screen.

GOTO - OAOR (Business Document Navigator)
Give Class Name - PICTURES Class Type - OT..... then Execute
It will show you the list, then select ENJOYSAP_LOGO.
On that list, you will find one control with a "create" tab.
Click std. doc types.
Select SCREEN and double-click.
It will push FILE selection screen.
Select your company logo (.gif) and press OK.
It will ask for a description- for instance: "company logo".
It will let you know your doc has been stored successfully
To display picture like comapany logo on ALV list header see the standard SAP example program BALVST03_GRID. In place of the Standard SAp logo you can place yourown by creating one with the following steps.

I recently had to erase my Iphone 5s. Now, when I send texts, it shows them coming from my email address. I'd rather it just showed them coming from my phone

I recently had to erase my IPhone 5S, and now it's been restored, and when I text, it shows my messages coming from my email address rather than from my phone # or my name, like they used to be shown. How can I change this setting back to the way it was? Thanks

The way you include it in your jsp is the standard way you download any image.
With an image tag
<img src="myImageServlet?imageId=42"/>
and your imageServlet actually returns the picture via its output stream.
ie it makes 2 requests. One for the jsp page, and then when it receives and parses the html, one to the servlet to get the image.

Since upgrading to Firefox 10.0.2 my AVG extension has had to be disabled, as after typing in any web address in the address bar, the enter key had no effect and I could not go to the site without pressing the Reload arrow on right.

I have recently upgraded Firefox to the latest version 10.0.2. After that I could not enter any website address and press the enter key and get to the website, nor could I select a website from the dropdown list of previously visited websites. The only way I could get there was by pressing the arrow on the right side of the address box (Reload current page). Once I disabled the AVG extension, everything worked normally. As soon as I enabled the AVG extension, it stopped working again.

Follow these steps for the controls to work:
# Start > Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox
# Find the “Tools” menu at the top of the browser window and select “Add-ons”.
# Click on the “Extensions” icon to make sure you’re in the correct option menu.
# Locate “AVG Safe Search” and click on the containing line to highlight and select the add-on.
# Click the “Disable” button and close the Add-ons window.
# Close down any Firefox windows you may have open.
# That’s It – You’re Done!

HOW DO I SEND AN EMAIL AND SHOW IT COMING FROM A DIFFERENT ADDRESS?

I'm a newbie to the iMac, having taken receipt yesterday and currently trying to set up email - can anyone help please?
I have a business email address attached to my domain name that I like to appear on all emails I send and be the default address sent to once reply is hit.
This was easily achieved in in MS Outlook on my old desktop where the email was sent through a TalkTalk account, but showed my business email address, but so far does not appear possible in Mail.
I understand there are issues between TalkTalk and Apple, so have alternate accounts with BTInternet and Gmail, but cannot achieve the desired result with those either. Despite surfing the net for the best part of the day looking for answers I'm no further forward, can anyone shed light on a solution please?

In order for the "From" field to show you options on the "from" addresses available, you must set them up in the Preferences > Accounts first.
I can't show you a screen shot of the from field because I currently only have one account, so the from address used is the default. However, when I had more than one, then options will show up in your compose/reply window.

Hi there I am using LR5 on Macbook pro OSX vs 10.9.5. I am attempting to import photos from a folder on my hard drive. I cannot get LR5 to recognise any photographs in the folder. Indeed it will not recognise any photographs in any of my system folders or on my external drive. I have checked for XMP files as I heard they can be a conflict but there are none in my folders. I have attempted importing via different methods including drag and drop onto the LR icon but to no avail. This is confusing as all was working fine until recently. OK...very strange. I had the 'Destinations' tab collapsed. When I clicked to expand it the photos suddenly showed up!
I was attempting to 'Add' photos before (in which case the Destinations is irrelevant) In ''Copy'' or 'Move' the destinations seems to want to be expanded as a tab. Now when I go back into 'Add' the picture imports are working. Thanks for your help and I hope that this might help someone else.

Mail showing attached pictures from previous email after upgrade to Mavericks

My Apple Mail app is configured to show the email body in the bottom pane when I select an email in the email list in the top pane.
I receive emails on a scheduled basis from a security camera. The email contains attached pictures.
THE BUG: After upgrading to Mavericks, when I am in Mail and am going from one email to the other, the image does not refresh to the image from the newly selected email. It continues to display the images from the first email that was selected.
Is this a known issue. Has anyone else seen this?

Since latest upgrade I cannot "print" or show "print preview" from any web page. This is true of both of my printers and I have followed directions on plug-ins and have reinstalled Firefox etc. I am about ready to switch to Internet Explorer! w

Since upgrading Firefox, it doesn't respond when I click on print and/or print preview while displaying web pages.. No error message, just no response. I tried using both my printers..a HP and a Canon and get no results with either. I have no problem printing from any other place (including "Print" instructions within web pages, usually). I have recently upgraded my desktop (Dell Vostro 220) to Windows 7 and it went smoothly. The Firefox upgrade came at about the same time, so I don't know if Windows 7 is part of the problem. I need be able to print from the screen of web pages!

Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article [[Firefox prints incorrectly]]? There is some good troubleshooting information in there. I would suggest that you try resetting your print settings.
