Disable Standby/Hibernation MSI Radio

Hi all,
through Windows power management I set my MEGA 651 to go into hibernation after 10 minutes idle time.
TV-recording programs are able to disable this setting while running.
MSI Radio unfortunately does not disable this setting therefore after listening to the radio for 10 minutes (= 10 minutes idle time) the PC goes into hibernation. Well, I would like to be able to listen to the radio for more than 10 minutes and still keep the settings in Windows power management.
So how do I let power management know, that while MSI Radio is running, it should not go into hibernation?
Any hints appreciated,
Scooty

  • How to disable Standby/Hibernation on Satellite Pro U series

    Hi,
I have on my Satellite Pro U series Windows Vista Professional installed.
During the defragmentationprocess my machine goes automatically into standby.
Does anyone know how to disable standby temporarely, so the defragmentation process can finish properly.
Edited by: Admin on 01-Dec-2007 08:13

    Hi there,
to disable the Standby/Hibernation on your system you must simply go into "Control Panel" and open the "powersaver" to edit the powersaver settings.
The Powersaver contains profiles where all powersaving related settings are defined. So you can edit such profile and disable the standby/hibernation to perform your defragmentation.
Would be useful if you post which system you have..

  • How do you grey out/disable fields under a radio button if another radio button is selected in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

How do you grey out/disable fields under a radio button if another radio button is selected in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?
I’m creating a form where the user has three options to make a payment.
    1. charge to my credit card
    2. charge associated costs to bank account
    3. By cheque or money order
My Problem is, under each option, there are required fields that has to be filled out. So if the user picks the first option, charge to my credit card, they would fill out the required fields (credit card number, expiration date etc.). But when they click submit button to submit the form, it won’t let them, because there are required fields under the second option. Also, I have the radio buttons for the three options setup so that if the user holds the shift key and clicks a radio button, it unchecks it. So what I'm trying to do is this: If the user selects the radio button for option 1, the other two options are greyed out/disabled. And if the user holds down the shift key and clicks radio button for option one again, it unchecks the radio button and the other two options are available again. Is there a way to grey out or disable the two other payment options when the other one is picked. I’m assuming I will have to use javascript, but what would the coding be and which field do I write it under?
    Thanks in advance guys

You will have to use custom JavaScript to access the various properties of the field object.
The radio button group has a value. When no button is selected that value is "Off". When an individual button has been selected the value for the group will be the option or export value for that individual button.
Once you have determined the button selected, then you will know the form fields that need to be made required. You use JavaScript to access those fields and change the "read only" property to false, and set the "required" property to true. For the fields associated with the other options, those fields should be reset, made read only, and have the "required" property set to false.
    Disabling (graying-out) Form Fields
    >> Also, I have the radio buttons for the three options setup so that if the user holds the shift key and clicks a radio button, it unchecks it.
Radio button in a PDF do not work that way. Only check boxes can be unchecked by clicking on one that has been checked.
If you plan the coding for the Mouse UP action to test for all possible options and code for each of those options you should have what you want.
If you want actual code you need to provide a lot more details.
It is even possible to perform some credit card and bank routing number validations with JavaScript and some check digit formulas.

  • After AMD X2 3800 upgrade MSI Radio causes stop error

    Hi!
First of all sorry for by bad English
I have an MSI TV Anywhere master card for about two years now.
Until now it was running fine, using the updated drivers from MSI's site
This include the main driver, and the new WinDVR 3.0 and the updated MSI Radio
With these AMD vs Intel price wars, I've upgraded my Athlon Winchester 3000+ to a X2 3800+
    The CPU is running fine
However, MSI radio immedialy gives a BSOD since I have changed the CPU
I have even got as far as reinstalling XP SP2 from scratch, and it still BSOD's :(
    I get
    STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
    How do I solve it?
Any other users having trouble with TV Anwhere Master with an AMD X2
CPU has run for several hours PRIME 95 and some heavy games with no crashes whatsoever
Just click on MSI radio and the mouse cursor wil freeze, followed by a BSOD and a reboot
    Every time this happend
The only time when I could lauch MSI radio was when I booted Windows XP in safe mode
    Thx in advance
    Steven

    Hi Stu!
Followed you advice, I looked a little more at the processor AMD procesor driver program
I already had installed the latest version, but it crashed too :(
However you suggestion had led my to try this:
    * Removed the normal AMD processor driver
    * Installed the AMD Fix for dual core processors from the AMD site
It worked!! Now MSI radio no more crashes!
    knock on wood
I'll report back when there are errors
This is the page I got the utility from:
    http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html
    It's the first tool listed
    From the desc:
"The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC (Read Time Stamp Counter) instruction"
Hope this helps anyone who has an AMD X2 an has similar problems
Actually, with the new drivers from MSI I'm quite happy with my TV Anywhere Master

  • [TV@Master] MSI Radio, keyboard shortcuts

I'm using MSI Radio app and it's ok for me, just one thing I can't find - keyboard shortcuts to change memorized channels. I really need it so if anyone knows... please. Thanks in advance!

I found it! It's [CONTROL]+[ALT]+F and while holding these buttons you have to select which memory number you want with or direction key. Great, while I'm doing all these I still have 6 fingers free to do whatever I want

  • Just a few quirks with MSI-Radio...

Well, I just lost my stereo reciever...Looks like I'll be forced to turn to headphones and MSI-Radio
First of all, the signal bar is fine grandour except that it sucks...Sometimes it shows no signal and sounds fine. Whats up with that?
Second, more importantly...I close MSI Radio, and it won't shut up...For some reason it refuses to cut the signal when closing it (Maybe I'll just be forced to manually unplug it from the back of comp)
Third, some idiot installed ad-ware on my comp!!!  #$@#!!!  "Ad-aware" doesn't seem to detect it and "spy-bot search and destroy" detects Hot-bar but can't remove it...What to do...
**Well, looks like I'll get the reciever back**
;-))Might as well fix it anyways though, can't stand have anything imperfect about my comp...

#2 is about the only one I can offer any advice on.  First of all, I'd go to Download -> Multimedia -> TV@nywhere Master and make sure that I had the latest version of the TV@nywhere Master Driver and MSI Radio.
Secondly, you could probably silence MSI Radio by opening the Windows volume control (or whatever it's called in your version of windows) and muting whatever input you're using to feed sound from the TV@nywhere Master to your sound card.  On my system MSI Radio will actually un-mute Line In when I run it and re-mute when I exit.
Thirdly, when MSI Radio does misbehave and not shut up on exit, I can usually get it to hush by running and then exiting MSI PVS aka WinDVR.
Fourthly, I've noticed that my MSI Radio only fails to shut up if I click the Settings button while it is running.  Once I get the settings set, it doesn't give my any more problems as long as I can resist doublechecking my settings.
Correction: one problem.  It always mutes my master recording balance when it runs, meaning that anything I record with MSI Radio or PVS will be nothing but silence.  I have no idea what that's about.

  • Question on Radio tuner and msi radio on getting it to work

Ok Iv installed MSI Radio, also got the radio card muted with the msi media center uninstalled that thing is just evil, problem now is the msi radio is not talking to my radio on my msi mega 865 deluxe, the msi media center 3 works with it, but i cant mute the radio card on the audio settings. The radio card starts up when msi radio starts up but none of the tuner options work, i get the fuzz in the back ground but the buttions are not talking to the mega 865's radio card what can I do I want to avoid the msi media center 3 because I will not be able to mute my radio and will have that annoying fuzzy stuff running in the back ground that will annoy me to no ends lol
    MSI MEGA 865 Deluxe
    p4 2.8ghz HT
    1 gig of kingston Ram
MSI Geforce FX 5700LE 256mb AGP
    MSI Mega Tv Tuner Card
    80 gig Segate Baracuda
MSI 52x CDROM CDR/DVD Combo Drive
Windows XP PRO SP2 With MS PLUS! Digital Media Edition

at least you're getting somewhere with this now
what is this background fuzz you keep going on about? thats the sound of an untuned radio...
if you aren't happy with media centre 3 (who is?  ) then make sure you fully uninstall it, and uninstall the mega radio program (for now)
turn off your pc and unplug the power lead for a few seconds then reconnect.
put into hi-fi mode and make sure radio is working - if it ain't working in hi-fi mode its not gonna work in windows. try tuning a few stations in, and then leave it set to a station you recognise...
if all is ok, then power into pc mode (making sure you turn off hi-fi mode first)
if you hear the radio playing when windows has started (as opposed to "background fuzz" now you have a station tuned in), open the windows volume control and look for the "Radio" slider, you might need to go into advanced properties (under options) and tick the box to show it. just tick the mute box, no need to adjust slider.
now install the mega radio program (it is found on the Mega 651 downloads page for correct version). now when the radio program starts and closes, it should automatically "tick" and "untick" the mute box in the Radio volume slider itself

  • Does the iPhone developer beta disable the phone's radio?

Multiple reports have said that installing the iPhone developer test software will disable the phone's radio, making it impossible to make calls -- unless the phone is unlocked, which I don't want to do. In the experience of other people who have been accepted into the program, is this true?

  • Whats with this here? (MSI Radio)

Well I was playing with MSI Radio, and heres a screen shot I managed to get:
But anyways, Why the option of AM vs FM? Is there an MSI product that supports this? Just a question...

And I was wondering why my copy of MSI Radio did not have the AM/FM option on the program skin.
The last update for the TV @nywhere Master MSI Radio program was posted on the MSI site in Oct of 2003. If that's the program you downloaded in the last four months, we have the same most current program. Your's has the AM/FM buttons (clickable or not), mine doesn't. I was just trying to figure out what the diff was. You indicated that you were "playing" with the MSI Radio. I thought that maybe while you were "playing" you turned on something that was reflected in the options on the skin.
Another possibility was that you downloaded a version of the MSI Radio program designed for the MSI MEGA product line, some of which supports both AM/FM. If that were the case, you would not have downloaded the MSI Radio program from the MSI TV @nywhere Master driver/program update URL.

  • Disable or restrict itunes radio?!?!?!

does anyone know how to disable or restrict iTunes radio? I have children and have restrictions set but there are a lot of songs that aren't "explicit" that i still don't want my children listening to...help!

I don't see anything to do so.   It won't work without wifi on, if that helps.
You will have to supervise and except that you can't put your kids in a bubble.   Educate, educate!
I was mortified to find out both my boys had heard the f-word from older kids on the school bus at kindergarten age.
No matter how careful you are, at some point they have to choose for themselves.
You have to program them to know, "this is not something I am allowed to listen to, watch or say, and I won't do it."
I am the parent of two teen boys, been there, done that.   My ex-husband and I had slightly different ideas on handling
the media in the house.   He just put locks on everything he thought needed it.  That didn't help and annoyed me
( locked me out of things too).
But the worse part is he learned nothing about what attracted the kids.   Better to know what they are drawn to so you can talk about any dangers involved.  I sat with my kids, if I didn't like it, it went away and went on the 'NO' list.   (Get caught watching a TV show on the banned list, you lose all TV.)   I did not lock out, passcode, parental control anything.
They are now 17 and 19 and I am glad to see them making good choices for themselves.
Parenting doesn't get easier as they grow.   Love them, teach them and keep the lines of communication open.

  • [T400] hangs on shutdown/standby/hibernation

I was recently surfing on Lenovo Support & Downloads site for some driver updates.
I figured I needed to update audio driver, so I downloaded it and installed it.
[Conexant Audio Driver for Windows Vista and XP]
    [Version: 4.92.7.0/3.64.7.0]
    [Release Date: 2009 08/06]
    It seem to work fine.
I was actually impressed about improved sound quality on my T400. (Using Smart Audio II Software)
However, there was huge down fall, It just won't shutdown properly!!
Everytime I tired to shut windows down/standby/hibernation, windows hangs and no responses.
Only hard drive indicator light was blinking periodically
I searched many places including this site for a solution, but still no solution yet.
    I tired...
    - Uninstalling and reinstalling.
    - Installed .net framework 3.0 and 3.5 then install new audio driver.
Only thing that worked was to do system restore, through safe mode, prior to new audio driver installation.
After that everything works fine...but I would like to use Smart Audio II software-!!
    anyone have same problem?
    any solutions?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

  • MSI Radio?

Does anyone know what is the latest version of MSI Radio?  I downloaded a version dated April 21 or so and it seems to conflict with Media Center Deluxe 3 and PC Alert 4 (LED display is mixed/scrambled while PA4 is running, and the radio app conflicts with MCD3 for the remote).  Is there a version out there that works ok on the Mega 180 and doesn't conflict with either of the other two programs?

Ok, so I found my bluebird bios information(thx Stu.online for the tip) in the "Radio Webupdate" application, but I am not sure if this is even correct because when the application starts it displays:
Application Initiation - "It will take about 1 min to check the system information"
    Then another window states:
Radio Webupdate cannot find the Radio module's information!
Radio Webupdate will load the default setting for your Radio module.
    Then the app starts with:
    Motherboard model: 6796
    Radio Module: Bluebird
    Firmware version: A10C
    Firmware OEM No: General Type
    Countty Code: 5
    WebUpdate version: 1.11
    MSIRadio version: 1.00.61
The only thing I know that is correct is the MSI Radio version, which is: 1.00.61
    I don't know where I got 1.00.01, from CD I guess.
Same for everyone? Are we the only ones listening to radio?

  • MSI Radio takes 2 mins to open!

As part of my Intervideo MSI PVS 3 package I have MSI Radio.  I have the latest drivers installed, but the program takes 2 mins to fire up and operate.  This may be the norm, but it does feel as if something is not quite right.

  • MSI Radio displays 5 min after doubleclick..!

    Hi,
my problem is that when I execute the MSI Radio application it won't start immediately - nothing on the screen, but the task manager shows it as executed with 99% CPU usage.  After ca. 2 minutes it appears!
    Then it works just fine.
BUT when i try to play with the settings and then return, it simply does not respond to anything e.g. tuning, ... and when I close it, I can still hear the radio quietly playing, so I have to reboot/relaunch.
    Any suggestions???
