Disable the ability to change ESS who's who data

I already unchecked the options in IMG Who's who/User's Own data (ESS): Determine Functions. But still the data could be changed in who's who service. Can anyone give me some tip about this? Thanks a lot.

When you click Write and open the new message editor, press Alt to show the Menu Bar, then enable all the toolbars under View/Toolbars. Plus, press F9 to show the Contacts sidebar.

Are there any known issues with the epub plugin causing firefox to revert search engine back to yahoo and then disabling the ability to change search settings?

My wife recently added a plugin, epub reader. Upon starting up Firefox the next day she noticed that the default search engine was changed back to Yahoo after we previously fixed this. Furthermore the ability to change search settings was grayed out. After epub reader was removed the problem was solved. I am surprised that I am unable to find anything written to this end about epub reader. Is this a tool promoted and distributed by Yahoo?
Incidentally, how much would each user need to contribute to get mozilla away from Yahoo? Yahoo is, in my opinion, little more than an advertising vehicle, and not a real search engine.

I went to Costco today and asked long known VZW Kiosk rep re what phone would he recommend...DX, DI or Fascinate.
Not to my surprise, I was told that DX is the best of those three. Given the fact that all three is the same price $199, it indicates that is has nothing to do with price.
When I acquired him about how Fascinate sales going, rep told me that since that phone went for sale this Thursday, local Costco only sold 10 Fascinate but that not all...7 of them were returned back to Costco by Saturday. That is a 70% return rate which seems to be way too high for the high level smartphone.
At the same time, local Costo VZW kiosk can't keep up with demand of the DX, they are being sold out as soon as they are getting them. I am not advertising for DX here as I am myself briefly owned DX as soon as it was released and its problem with reboot forced me to return it as I didn't want to deal with replacement as I had bad experience in the past two years with VZW replacing my phones every two to three month with replacement phone being worse then the one that is being replaced.
There is no such a thing as a perfect smartphone (sorry to all iPhone fans) but VZW should take a special "achievement" award for screwing up such a wonderful phone as Galaxy S.
I can only hope that either DX with 2.2 will be better than the one with 2.1 or I will wait for what is coming up with HTC in November.

I have the Apple Configurator. If it has the ability to block printing from an iPad, I was not able to find it. I might check out the windows version. Do you know if the windows woek on iPads (It is called Apple iPhone Configurator)?
1) Apple never renamed "Apple iPhone Configurator" after the iPad come out. Name should be something like Apple iOS Configurator. Apple iPhone Configurator will work with the iPad.
2) Doubt there is a functional difference between the Mac & Windows versions.
3) Check with iOS 6. Some resrictions have changed.

Can we disable the ability for users to sites and subsites in their SharePoint 365 Profile Site?

We have plans to roll out a hybrid SharePoint with our profiles in the Cloud. Does anyone know if it is possible to disable the ability for users to create sites under their Profile site in the cloud? As it stands out of the box, it looks like every
user can create as many sites as they want under their Profile. There is a concern that users will "self-service" their own solutions without going through the proper channels of governance. Has anyone had to deal with this or have experience

HI Ken,we can disable this by blocking the self service site creation option.By default its disabled.
To disable the "Self-Service Site creation" option, just follow the steps given below:
1.   Go to the Central admin.
2.   Go to the "Application Management" & Select the specific web application.
3.   Now, you can see the "Self-Service Site Creation" option in the Ribbon Menu.
4.   Click on that Menu item and Select the "Off" option in the pop-up window

Crop wasn't such a bad idea.
Drop to be revealed clip in V1.
Drop clip for the curtain effect in V2 and add crop.
Set first keyframe at say 1 second for LEFT 50%, second keyframe at say 2 seconds to 100%
Add the clip for the curtain effect again but on V3 (superimposded).
Add crop.
Now animate RIGHT: 1 second 50% at 2 seconds 100%.
Done

HT2492 ML Dashboard Calendar widget has lost the ability to change the date.

In ML the Dashboard calendar widget has lost the ability to change the day to other days. You can still navigate to different months with the arrow keys, but clicking on any day has no effect. I have not found a keystroke/mouse combination that allows the date to be changed from today's date.
This is a useful function for me, to quickly be able to see what I have scheduled on any day. Now I have to open iCal, which is annoying.

You are correct that there is no way to sort jobs in the print queue window in Snow Leopard. This is to be considered expected behavior. In other words, that's the way the software engineers intend it to work in Snow Leopard. You should provide Apple with feedback as to what you want. Several users have lost the ability to change their default dashboard.

The users have the ability to set other preferences, but if the default dashboard is changed they get an Access Denied message. The user's default dashboard still exists and is working. They want to change it to another existing dashboard for which they have access. When they try to change the dashboard, they get the access denied message.
They can view the dashboards and change other preferences (language, time zone, etc.) they just cannot change the default dashboard.

Thanx for the reply. According to catalog manager, the user has change/delete to this file (and the entire directory). As for the file system, the directory security is no different than for any of the user directories that are work fine.
I did find that if I give the user:
(1) Presentation Server Admin
(2) The user then gets a "path noth found error".
(3) Have the user change the url to go to answers instead of dashboards.
(4) Create a simple report.
(5) Save it under "My folder"
Then I remove them from Presentation Server Admin and have them log back in. Then they can set their default dashboard. This is obviously an unacceptable work around.

I need to disable this feature for all users in a corporate environment, how do I do this? I would like to disable the "Sign in to Sync" on the menu and the tab in the Options window.

Can you Disable the ability for Users to Register Themselves on Help Desk?

I researched but could not find the answer to this.
I did find the "Do not allow users to edit profile" but I could not find where you can take away the ability for a user to Register at the help desk.
Meaning I want to be the only one able to create "End User" accounts. I will then give them their information.
Is this possible?

I have lost the ability to change fonts,use color and size and when I try to write anyone,I cannot see my mailing list and there is no send button.

A few months ago my ability to use different fonts, colors and sizes suddenly disappeared. These choices were always available when looking at my email and I used them regularly . No one I asked ever heard of such a thing happening. I left it alone until I found someone to help. Then, a few days ago, when I clicked "write" , two things happened. First, I could not forward, reply or even see my collected email addresses. Second, there was no longer a place that said "send". My email page filled the entire screen and when I scaled it down, there was still no way to see my list or to send. I am a novice when it comes to fixes and terms but, I have asked people who have some experience with PC's they were stumped. I contacted Fairpoint and they said it must be a Thunderbird problem. Most of the people I asked said they didn't know Thunderbird. One suggested that I reinstall T.bird but, said I also might lose everything on my PC. I would appreciate any help you can give. ITunes denies me the ability to change the info of my media. Anyone have the same problem?

Whenever you desire to change the information on a certain music file or movie you've saved to your apple device (In my case, an iPhone 4S), the only things that pop up on screen are the "Play (Insert name of media here)" or below that: "Get info". And even if you do click on "Get Info", you can only LOOK at the info already there and you can't change it! Before this problem arose, there used to be a long list of options you could select from for that specific media file you chose. Things like ratings, copy, delete, consolidate files, get artwork, etc. were at my fingertips, and now iTunes has refused me these luxeries! The thing I miss the most is being able to click on the "Get Info" option and actually CHANGING THE INFO of the media file instead of just looking at it with the color of the font being gray and not allowing you to change it! If I wanted to rename a video I got from the internet or give proper credit to the person who uploaded said video, I could do so in the past, but not now! Also, I cannot drag a music track or video file from my Video files of my computer's hard drive and place them into my Movies of iTunes or my iPhone 4S! It used to be so quick and easy to click and drag what you wanted into your device, But now it's just such a pain! I ask if anyone has this same problem and better yet, if anyone has a solution to this? All considerate thoughts and actions are appreciated. Thank you.

Is there a way to disable the ability to double-tap to create a straight line in Photoshop?

I have a problem in Photoshop CS6 where whenever my pen double taps the tablet, windows will do the "loading" circle where my cursor is, and I can drag the brush anywhere, and will still have control over the opacity and size, but once I let go, a hard line of 100% thickness and 100% opacity is created between the starting and ending points. Here is an image of what I am talking about:

This is a very annoying problem when I am trying to draw, because often times I will finish one short stroke and begin another immediately, only for a blob of 100% opacity to appear. It happens to me almost every 2 minutes.
Now, I don't know if this is a problem with Photoshop, my tablet, or my computer. Does anyone know if this is a feature that can be turned off? Or has experienced this problem and has a solution? Thanks.

Wacom Intuos Pro
AMD FX 8320 / nVidia 650 Ti Boost / 16GB RAM

Found a fix. It's not a photoshop problem, but a Wacom option. Go into the Tablet control panel > pen > set "double click distance" to Off. Hope this helps anyone who needs it!

I thought I was in the minority in expressing my total dissatisfaction with the new menu guide. After reading other comments I see I am very much NOT alone. I agree with all of them, who said this is an improvement? The guide itself, too small and the rest of the screen cluttered with unnecessary information. I just want to see what's on. The color is awful, makes it so hard to read the programming, the white font,too big, on the actual screen that displays the programming , I can't read it without straining my eyes. It's just horrible. I wonder if any of our opinions count. It wasn't broke so why did you "fix" it?
