Disable the function "add item" in Datasheet View

Hello,
I am working with ListViewWebPart recently, il use a SPView of type "Datasheet". So as you know, there is a line in bottom with a '*' left, we can click et edit in that line to add new item, then there will be a new line below with a "*" to allow us
to add new item always.
Now the problem is: could we disable "that line", i dont want user to add new line (item), but they can edit the lines(items) existed. Anyone know how to do it.

Hi,
Permission management would be one choice to restrict users to add new item.
You just need to remove the 'Add items' permission from the user's current permission group or you can create a new permission for that people.

Is there any way to revert back to the old Active X based Datasheet view?

Is there a setting I can check to use the old Active X based Datasheet view from 2010? If not, then is there a way to have the new 2013 Datasheet view display more than 30 items per line? I clicked display all in the view settings and it displays 30
items and gives me a little arrow at the bottom to get to the next set of 30. My list has close to 800 items and I want to edit them on one page without having to scroll to other pages. Its more user friendly that way

No way I know of.
But you can edit the view and set the item limit to a large number. One of my lists has 672 items and I can display them all in a single Quick Edit view.

Though 'None' access permission is set for the functions 'Add Matching Sets' and 'Modify Matching Sets', they are accessible.
Is this a bug with the tool? or am I missing something?

How to customize the default add item in a content area

Hi!! I want to know what can I do to introduce a file in a content area, but I don't want to use the default page that portal use. I want to customize the add item option, the same that I have done with the folders. The problem that I have is that I need the user to have the file on his/her pc, and the api add_item needs the file on unix, where de DB is installed.

Thanks for all your reply, but maybe i didn't describe my problem clear. My problem for the combobox is that once the combobox has a selected value, then there is no way to clear it in the UI even I remove all the items in its ValidValues. From the user interface, the selected value still stays there but actually this combobox is empty and does not have any items. My question is how can I remove the current selected item in the combobox.

I want to permanently disable the function where firefox disables java functions without my permission. I want to enable java for all websites

I am tired of having mozilla overide and block java I have software that is for my protection I don't need a nanny to watch over me or to take control away form me. I do not want you blocking me from setting functions that I need. You can't leave the decision to me I will use other software. I have used firefox for quite some time but that is about to end. How do I disable the initial message from GDB when viewing my console in Xcode 4?

That's peculiar because this message would only appear occasionally in xcode 3. I just downloaded xcode 4 and now this happends every time.

Since downloading then deleting somthing I did not want, whenever I open a new tab in Firefox, Yahoo pops up asking me to make it my default browser. I have disabled the Yahoo 'Add On' but it makes no diference?

Tried that. Also tried SUPERAntiSpyware, ccleaner, HitmanPro. Removed anything that was reported. Problem persists.
Chrome is also affected. But couldn't find any alternative way of not having Ask.com loaded as did in Firefox.
Internet Explorer was initially affected. After the Ask.com search engine is removed that problem appears to have gone away.

Interestingly, yesterday afternoon the Chrome browner new tab no longer hijacked by Ask.com. The symptom was there in the morning and had gone away in the late afternoon. Nothing was done except a few days ago I blocked everything on that page. The problem with Firefox continue to persist I didn't do the same blocking on it. I am going to try the same and then use anti-spyware to clear away all cookies and see what happens.

How to stop add-ons manager tab from loading at start up of Firefox 3.6.17 (disabling the update add ons option doesn't stop it)?

Recently firefox has started loading the plugin checker in a new tab everytime it starts. This is annoying and turning off the automatic check for addon updates doesn't stop it.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Just use the back button on the browser. The page will return to the original query. That's the whole point of why Viewer is based on HTML.

Adobe Acrobat Add-On 11.0.6.70 will not allow me to download a .pdf file. Disabling the Add-On allows me to download the .pdf.

I attempted to download a .pdf file and open it with Adobe Add-On 11.0.6.70 in FF 25.0.1 and got a message that the file was damaged and could not be repaired. I called the site's Tech Support and they requested that I try the download with another (Ugh!) browser and the download worked. I went back and disabled the Adobe Add-On in FF and the download worked in FF also. Not sure who developed the Add-On but whoever did so, left a bug in the process.

Please update to the latest version of Firefox by going to the About Firefox in the Firefox menu. If downloads hang at the last minute (just before reaching 100%), the cause might be antivirus software which tries to scan the file and during that process hangs the Firefox instance. It may also happen when the download becomes corrupt. What I want to know is in the System Requirements what " Firefox Extended Support Release" means.
In order to fix the problem, try disabling the scanning as follows:

Why dont you prefer your own Menu with the same icons,which are available in forms6i default menus.If you created your menu with the same icons, you have a right to disable the icons through the SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY built-in(see help in forms6i).
I have same icons which are available in forms6i by default.I hope you have also that icons.If you don't have i'll send it.
