  • How to disable the Save button For a pdf?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement that when you open the livecycle developed pdf, the Save option available in the toolbar (Save As icon) and File menu of the Reader should be disabled. A button will be provided in the form separately to provide the Save functionality. Can anybody help me reg. this? Is there any setting available for this in Adobe Pro or any other tool?
    Regards,
    Maria

    It's not really difficult to disable the save button. But it depends on the context from where you want to delete it. even if you disable the save button the user has the option to print screen and create a fresh pdf. So your question has some philosophical aspects to deal with. Please mail me at [email protected] incase of further quries. I've understood your problem and have got a solution but it's not somewhat legitimate to do. I can share it with you through email.

  • Disable the save icon of pdf document?

    Hello,
    My gool is to disable the save icon of pdf document when i open the pdf document inside flex application.
    Have you any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,

    This isn't something that can be managed from the Flex end of things. You have to configure the document DRM.

    Thank you

    You can not.
    But you can apply document security or apply Digital Rights Management.
    If you can get the users to add a special Acrobat/Reader application folder JS file, you could remove the button, but you would still have the menu items for 'Save' and 'Save as' and the keyboard short cut of '<Ctrl> + S'.

  • Is there anyway to suppress or disable the save as jpeg options dialog box on individiual images/pic

    Is there anyway to suppress or disable the save as jpeg options dialog box on individiual images/pictures?

    UI dialogs are an application setting, not a file property. Selectively suppressing them on a per-file basis is not possible, but you can of course create an action and suppress the dialogs...

  • Preview options in the "save for web" dialog

    According to the reference, the previews in the "save for web" dialog are there only for showing how the image can be seen on various platforms with different gamma values.
    But, if we open a non-sRGB image (ProPhoto for example) by the "save for web" option, the preview options (other than the "use document profile) in the "save for web" dialog assign sRGB color space to the image even when the "convert to sRGB" option is unchecked ... this causes unrealistic, dull previews for the image.
    What is the reason behind that PS assigns sRGB to the image previews if we uncheck "convert to sRGB" option?

    Basically, how animation works with GIF and Save for Web in PSE is that each layer in your document is a frame of animation. So you see one layer, then the next, and so on. You should not see the contents of the last frame/layer when looking at the current/next frame of the animation.
    Could you post a screen shot of your layers panel and give us a link to the GIF that is coming out of Save for Web?

  • How can I Hide(not Disable) the Save As and Exit options in the File menu of Excel Documents in SharePoint 2013?

    Hi,
    I want to hide(not disable) the "Save As" and "Exit" options in the File Menu of Excel Documents in SharePoint 2013.When I make changes in the excelribbon.css file of xlviewer.aspx,all the options under File menu are getting hidden but
    I want to hide only these two options while retaining the others.
    Kindly suggest me a method to achieve this.
    Looking forward to your reply at the earliest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sanjana

    Hi Sanjana,
    To hide the “Save As” and “Exit” options in xlviewer.aspx page in SharePoint, I recommend to use the code below(however it is not recommended):
    <style>
    div.cui-menusection li.cui-menusection-items:nth-child(2)
    display:none !important;
    div#m_excelWebRenderer_ewaCtl_menuJewelSaveAs{
    display:none !important;
    div#m_excelWebRenderer_ewaCtl_msJewelSecondary{
    display:none !important;
    </style>
    As “:nth-child()” selector is supported in IE 9 and later versions, please use IE 9 or later versions’ IE browser.

    Best regards.

  • HOW TO DISABLE THE SAVEAS OPTION OF A BROWSER?

    Hi all,
    Nice to be back again folks.....
    Well I need to develop an Applet (perhaps even a swing) which when loaded by any browser would disable the SaveAs option of the browser's File menu.
    I tried using the Frame class of java.awt package, the code is:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.applet.*;
    public class WinAppl extends Applet
    int mc;
    String str="NO OF MENUS: ";
    Font fnt=new Font("Arial",Font.BOLD,12);
    MenuBar mb;
    Frame frame=new Frame("SNODX");
    Window window;
    public void init()
    frame.setBackground(Color.red);
    frame.setForeground(Color.black);
    this.setFont(fnt);
    mb=frame.getMenuBar();
    if(mb!=null)
    mc=mb.getMenuCount();
    str+=mc;
    else
    str+="ZERO";
    public void paint(Graphics g)
    g.drawString(str,50,50);
    but when this applet is loaded ALL the menus of the browser disappear .i.e when this frame applet is loaded by the browser only the title bar of the browser and a red colored window appear, no menus. I dont want all the menus to be hidden, just the SaveAs option of Browser's File Menu to be disabled.
    Thanks in advance.
    True to my nature I am posting this question in some of the other Java forums as well. And as usual sorry for the multiple postings.

    Applets usually have absolutely no control over the browser they are running in (with the exception of loading other web pages and other very high level stuff). You won't be able to write an applet that disables entries in the menu bar. And even if you could it wouldn't really help you because most browsers write everything they download to disc (to the cache) where it can be recovered by anybode.
    Last but not least: there are lots of tools for mirroring web sites that will allow users to download and save anything that is accessible for browsers.
    However, you may be able to disable the menu bar and perhaps even change entries in some browsers like ie by activeX controls or javascript. Still this is not a very friendly way for a website to behave...

  • Is there any way to disable the popup message I get when I print to a PDF?

    When I print to a pdf by selecting the Adobe PDF Converter as my printer, I always get a popup in my tray "Your PDF file 'document name' has been created".
    This is annoying when I printing a bunch of different documents at a time.  I know the PDF has been created because it opens up, so why the popup?
    HOW DO I DISABLE THIS POPUP???
    Help!!

    If you're talking about the balloon tip that appears in the tray area, I don't know of a way to disable it for just Acrobat, but you can for all programs by modifying the registry: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307729

  • How to disable the save icon in the Acroread plugin

    I am able to tweak some parameters related to printing using the following file on my LINUX box
        .adobe/Acrobat/9.0/Preferences/reader_prefs
    However, I cannot find any documentation about available settings/parameters for this file.
    So not sure how, if even possible, I can remove certain buttons/options from the plugin ...as I would like at a minimum to
    prevent users from saving files they are viewing to the system running the browser they are using.
    Can I disable the icon that allows for "Save a copy..."?

    Long click on this notification a sub menu having field "App info" would appear goto App Info. You can goto there by "Manage Apps">"Skype" also.
    Uncheck Option "Show Notifications" A dialog will open. Don't worry about notifications for now just click OK. Now the notification icon skype has also been removed.
    Now simply check "Show notification again". After doing this you would get notifications but skype icon would not be shown in the status bar anymore.
    Issue: this is just a trick you need to repeat this every time sign out and sign in again. Mostly you don't do that so no need to worry.

  • I need to disable the save to online account

    How to disable the feature to save a document to online account

    If that's all you need Public Fox for, then you're better off locking preferences. Firefox can be started in safe mode either by holding down the Shift key or launching ''firefox.exe -safe-mode''
    * https://support.mozilla.org/questions/867180
    For example, if your configuration is Manual proxy
    <pre><nowiki>
    lockPref("network.proxy.type", 1); // lock proxy type to Manual
    lockPref("network.proxy.http", "127.0.0.1"); // lock proxy address
    lockPref("network.proxy.http_port", 8080); // lock proxy port
    </nowiki></pre>
    Also make sure the file permissions don't allow the user account(s) in question to modify or delete them.

    Notes
    * By default, Notepad will append the .txt extension to saved files. To avoid this, wrap the filename in quotes when saving, e.g. entering ''"mozilla.cfg"'' in the save dialog box will save the file with that exact name.
    * In Windows Vista and later, it's not possible to directly create or modify files under the Program Files folder. To save files there, you can right-click Notepad (or your text editor of choice) and choose Run as Administrator.

  • Obey the suffix in the Save As... dialog box

    When I save out a JPEG version, for example to email for comment, I often name it by clicking the previous version of that JPEG to pick up the name. Then it's easy to forget to choose JPEG from the file type menu. The result is a PSD file with a .jpg suffix, which is never a good idea.
    The best solution would be for Photoshop to obey the .jpg suffix and save it as a JPEG.
    Other options include opening a dialog box to point out the inconsistency, or forcing the suffix to match the file type from the popup menu.
    What do you think?

    I recommend you get Default Folder.   I've considered it a must have utility for my systems since OS9 Classic days.  It greatly helps in navigation for the ever deficient file dialogs in OSX (and OS9).

  • Firefox 3.6.8 won't open local php files. It opens the save as text dialog box instead.

    When I try to open a local php file on my MAC hard drive with FF 3.6.8, the save file dialog box opens instead. It says: You have chosen to open index.php which is a TextEdit.app Document. I do not have this problem with Firefox 3.5.11.
    I have tried:
    opening the file directly from Firefox as well as
    double clicking the file (which is the most common way).
    I have also tried changing the file "open with" preference to "open with Firefox." That did not work either.
    Any help on this would be appreciated.
    I'm on a MAC OS 10.5.8
    Thnx, Nick

    You have to delete mimeTypes.rdf.
    You can find it here (Windows XP): C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Aplication Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default.
