  • Where is the "Transfer Purchases" option in iTunes 11?

I'm having some trouble in finding the "transfer purchases" button/option in iTunes 11. Could someone please help me? Thank you

I found out that when I'm clicking on "Check for Update" (Under summary) it's transfer my purcheses
(might related to the fact that I enabled under my iPhone that it will automatically download my apps - but I'm not sure).

  • IPod Classic 80-gig won't transfer purchases to iTunes Library, nor will it sync. Please help!

My iPod Classic 80gb will not transfer purchases to my iTunes library. When I click the "Transfer Purchase" button, it says it's working, but then I get a pop-up which reads 'Attempting to copy the disk "OS" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)', and following that pop-up is another pop-up, which reads 'The iPod "William's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-69).
I need to transfer the purchases, because I had to restore my laptop (Which is a PC, by the way) to the original factory settings, and I had to re-download iTunes. When I re-downloaded it, I logged in and everything, but all my music was missing. I clicked the "Purchase History" button in the account part, and I clicked the "Download" button in order to regain my lost music, and I waited about 45 minutes or so, only to come back to iTunes saying it had finished, when it had only re-downloaded 75 of my 279 songs.
After this, I went into the help section of iTunes. In that, I clicked "Manage your media files," and from there, I clicked on "Find iTunes files." So, I did what it told me to do, which was to run a full scan on my PC, and I looked everywhere I could think of, and everywhere iTunes suggested my missing music might be located, only to find that I wasted my time.
I am a musician, I CRAVE the music I listen to, and I'm constantly finding new stuff to listen to and research, and if I can't transfer my purchases or sync my device to my library, then that means I can't get new music to listen to on the go, and for me, that is an extreme issue. Obviously, restoring my device is not  an option, because I have nothing to sync it to to get my music back.
Please, if anyone can help me with my situation, I'd be forever grateful.

  • How do I transfer purchases in iTunes 12

I finally figured out how to look at the device, my iPhone. with that silly icon row across the top.
I went to do a full back up of my phone and found two issues. One is a gui oversight.. can't really call it a bug.. just a cancel or exit is missing on a pop up window.
    AND
I can't find the link that has always been there on the right click menu that allows transferring purchases from your device to iTunes on your computer.
It's simply gone. There is no right click. there is no link in a menu item at the top of the iTunes applilcation.
I went to do a backup and got a message that said that I could back them up, but if I Was transerring my backup to a new device (which I will be if I update to the iPhone 6) then iTunes won't install those apps unless they've been downloaded to iTunes. I was presented two choices, back up with or without those apps.
Here is where I Found the second problem... There was no way to change my mind at this point and NOT backup at all. There should be a third choice.. of cancel or  a little exit icon at the top right, but there wasn't. SO instead of going and figuring out how to transfer those apps... I had to wait and wait and wait for a backup (which I"m going to have to redo anyway after I Figure out how to transfer those apps completes). Then go transfer and then redo the backup.
So right now, I need to know how to transfer my purchases to the iTunes on my computer... anyone?
and second, I think a bug report needs to be filed for a missing cancel/exit button on that popup.
And third.. I think I need a stiff drink so I can relax... I"m staring to think the whole Quality Assurance dept died with Steve Jobs. Sad to see something he worked so hard to grow and give a culture of excellence too.. not live on without him. sad. really sad. Here is a toast to the glory days of old Apple.

Apple buried the transfer purchases option, but it's still there. To transfer purchases from your iOS device in iTunes:
Select the device toward the top-middle of iTunes (underneath the status area/progress bar/Apple logo).
    Go to the File menu.
    Select Devices
Click on Transfer Purchases from [DeviceName]...

  • Is is possible to convert the movies purchased on itunes to DVD?

Is is possible to convert the movies purchased on itunes to DVD? (In other words you would be burning the movie or tv shows to a blank DVD).

You can store just what you want on the external. Just set up folders for what you want. I have a music folder, movies and TV shows, and pictures folders. I also have mine partitioned for OSX and Windows. I have a few files I need if I am running on windows so I keep them on the windows side. I always keep a back up of my documents and a few other files it is a pain to download on the external.
You can also copy every folder and file on your machine to the external if it is big enough. This is a true copy not a back up file generated by a back up program. I like to do this if I get adventuresome and plan to do some major experimenting with my software. Saves having to reload everything if it crashes.

Did you try to connect to your computer, launch iTunes, right click on your ipod in the device list and choose "transfer purchases"? This will copy all bought media without syncing your ipod.
Apps can also be downloaded again for free: Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Transfer Purchased onto iTunes not working

Today, I borrowed my friends iPod to download the purchased songs onto my iTunes. When it said it was finished, it only transferred 34 out of 300 and some odd number purchased. Could you help me please? I authorized the account and clicked on transfer purchases.

I'm pretty sure I remember this working before as well. Now that doesn't work and updating apps on the handset itself doesn't work properly either. As soon as you sync with iTunes though the process completes. Annoying to say the least. I love the fact that I can browse for software will out and about but if I can't transfer it to my library what's the point?
I guess once you have paid for applications, rather than free ones, you could go home and download it again via iTunes and you won't be charged twice?

  • I am not able to get ebooks from Kindle app on ipad to transfer to i-tunes, even after choosing "transfer purchases to itunes". Any help out there?

I can't get my ebooks from my ipad (in the Kindle app) to download into itunes. My ipad has been synced and I have tried to"transfer purchases from ipad" without success. Any suggestions?

You can't transfer Kindle books to iTunes. Your Kindle books are stored in your Kindle account on amazon.com. You can download them to authorized devices from there and Amazon stores them there for you.

  • Transfer purchases from itunes to iphone

    Hi
I recently installed the ltest update and as it wouldnt work on my computer i had to use my friends.  The install went fine, however i lost my apps and music.  It is all backed up on my computer.  I have had no issues transferring my apps back onto iphone, but the music just wont transfer.. I could only transfer about 6 songs and none of these were ones purchased through itunes.  Most of my music is itunes bought and i do not wantto transfer my entire library only the purchased songs.  I have been to the music tab and selected different play lists, tried to create a new playlist and nothing is transferring over.  I have checked the file path and everything is pointing to the right place all ofthe file are there and i can play the songs..
When i go to sync music i chose the select playlists, artists, albums and then i choose the playlists and the boxes that say purchased.
I click the sync button and i get this error msg: Some of the items in the Itunes library were not copied because they could not be found.. it has this by 100 instances on songs that i know are there..
    Please help its really frustrating

If you're in the US, you can download the purchased album to your phone or home computer right now, as that feature of iCloud is live for US users. If not in the US, you're gonna have to copy the album to a thumb drive & then transfer it to your home computer, then sync it to your phone. You won't be able to sync it to your phone from your work computer unless you want ALL the iTunes content presently on your phone erased. By design, an iPhone will sync with ONE computer at a time.

  • IPad transfer purchases cause iTunes to crash

I've been trying for the last week to transfer a couple of iTunes tv show episodes to my computer from my iPad... no luck because iTunes always crashes about halfway through. What could be the cause here?

    HI,
From the iTunes menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer. Try transferring the files.
If that didn't help, with your iPad connected to your computer with the iTunes window open, from the iTunes menu bar click File / Transfer Purchases from iPad.

  • Iphone will upload apps but cannot transfer purchases to itunes

On my Iphone a number of apps were deleted.   I think this was due to me syncing with itunes. In itunes you can see the list of deleted apps by name (no icon).  The app title has a selectable status of ‘remove’ or ‘will remove’.
I reinstalled the deleted apps to my iphone from within my iphone by going to the Apps Store and using ‘Purchased’ apps from within ‘updates’.  So the apps are back on my iphone.
Within itunes/file/devices I used ‘Transfer Purchases’ from iphone, however the apps have not been restored to the iTunes apps list. (There was no pop up window advising of any issue). The app associated ‘Remove’ / ‘will remove’ status is still present suggesting that that is exactly what will happen on the next sync.
From within ‘itunes/store/check for available downloads’ I am advised that “all purchases have been downloaded for this apple id”
The issue I believe is that I changed my apple id as the one I used was an old email address.  I swapped ISP and hence have no access to the original email / original apple id.  I cannot re-enter the old email id as an alternative to my current apple account id as I cannot access the email in order to provide the necessary verification.
I am not sure why from the iphone itself I am able to access all previous app purchases irrespective of the apple id (or are these coming from backups in the cloud?), but in itunes this function does not seem to be available.
What is the solution? Could apple help with this if I call them?
    Appreciate your help.

If the apps are showing on the phone's Apps tab on your computer's iTunes then that implies that they are already in your iTunes library. You've checked your library to see if they are there ?
The 'remove' button means that the app is installed on your phone, you would click on that 'remove' button if you want to remove the app from your phone - that will change the button to 'will remove' and clicking the sync/apply button at the bottom right of that screen will then remove it from your phone. Not clicking on 'remove' will leave the app on your phone. (Similarly apps that aren't currently on your phone but only in your iTunes library will have 'install' against them ; clicking on that would change the button to 'will install'.)
You can redownload items on your computer's iTunes (as long as they remain in the store and you don't change countries) by clicking on your name towards the top right of the iTunes screen and selecting Purchased from the popup e.g.
That will take you to a screen where you can potentially redownload that account's past purchases (if the item is already in your iTunes library then it won't show for redownloading).
