Disable the Wiki Preview icon.

I'm looking for a way to disable the Preview icon on the default wiki server.  I'm running into an issue where some of the video we're uploading to share internally is very large format, and as a result when a user chooses to preview the video on the site, opposed to downloading it to view, the preview screen is larger than the typical display.  I suspect the orginal video was shot and edited as 720p or higher, and thus the sizing issue.
Is there simply a way to disable the Preview icon, the eyball, so users are required to download the files opposed to just looking at the quicklook-like preview?

Well, I must by now reply to all of you.
First, "urami" made a good point when referring to kiosk
interfaces. It makes sense to have no roll over in this case and I
fully agree with this statement.
But in the case of the interfaces we commonly create in Flash
we need the finger icon to indicate that there is a photo-button or
a drawing-button or a clickable text here and, if we want to "hide"
it or if we do not want the user click it, we can with simple
functions (related to _x and _y mouse position) disable or enable
depending the circumstances the hot spot when the pointer rolls
over it.
The quoted remark of "DMennenoh" is not relevant.
Why? Simply because in the OS all buttons are clearly
designed as... buttons! There is no need to change the pointer icon
as we perfectly know what we are going to do and where we must move
the pointer to do the action: Open, Save, etc. And it is not only
the case for buttons, it's also the case for the menu bar...
In the interfaces we design, it is not always the case.
In all my interfaces, I always have in mind these:
How shall I react if I see this interface for the first time?
What can I do and where?
I suppose you'll agree with me if I say that some interfaces
are so bad that it is very helpful to have the finger icon just to
indicate that the area under the pointer is clearly a hot spot...
I think this discussion is far from ending...

    Hi,
    1) COPY the program RFITEMAP and create a ZRFITEMAP
    2) and added this code in the INITILIZATION event. You can search ZRFITEMAP with INITIALIZATION and add below code there.
      INTIALIZATION.
DATA: t_exclude TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF sypfkey.
      APPEND 'DYNS' TO t_exclude.
"DYNS is the dynamic selection screen function code.
      CALL FUNCTION 'RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS'
        EXPORTING
          p_status        = sy-pfkey

  • How do I disable the webpage preview that pops up when I hover my mouse over a tab?

I don't know why this started today, but it is driving me nuts!
I was surfing the net, when all of a sudden I noticed that whenever I hovered my mouse over one of my tabs, a (poorly rendered) preview of the webpage popped up from my mouse. I really do not need this feature. I don't need to have a mini-webpage preview of another tab.
Please, how do I disable this feature?
*note: I have disabled all my add-ons, and still nothing. I disabled my hardware acceleration, and still nothing. Please!

I've never noticed that. Do these old threads shed any light?

  • Any way to disable the video preview/PIP window?

I would like to be able to disable the PIP/preview window during a chat...don't see any obvious way to do this...
    can I?

Consequently if you have a MAc account on two
computers and use the same full name in the Address
    Book you will have problems.
There is also a secondary issue if the comptuers have
    the same name.
    hey Ralph-
yeah, I could understand that, but the 2 machines do NOT have the same name, and I've set up different address book entries...one doesn't have ANY accounts active...raw machine that I just want to get the Bonjour chatting to work...
interestingly, it works MUCH better on a computer to computer network than it does with the 2 machines just accessing a Airport express that is NOT connected to the internet.

  • How do I disable the mute microphone icon on the Facetime page so that others can hear me speak, in addition to them seeing me?

How do I disable the "mute microphone" icon on the Facetime page, so that the video recipient can not only see me,(which they can), but also to hear me as well?

When you are on a Facetime call, click on "Video" on the top menu bar.  You'll see "Unmute" on the dropdown menu -- click on it.  Your mic should now be unmuted.  Note: You must be on a Facetime call, otherwise the mute/unmute option will be grayed out.
Of course, when your mic is unmuted the option will turn to mute.

  • I have an Acer Aspire 7741. I want to disable the CAPS LOCK ICON. It interferes with my work.

I have an Acer Aspire 7741.  I want to disable the CAPS LOCK ICON because it interferes with my work.  Microsoft states this is a  utility that is on the computer, not something that is controlled by Windows software.  Help, please.  This is the only computer I use that does this and it's quite annoying at times.

it must already be installed on your system, normally it enables the Fn+F functions and over things like Caps lock. http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Application/LaunchManager/LaunchManager_Dritek_4.0.5_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634061190269930459&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%207741&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

  • How do I disable the email preview window

Not sure the exact terminology but a window has appeared below my inbox that previews any emails real or junk. I want to disable this window but not sure how .

Firefox is not an email program, so your problem depends on what site you are using for email. What site are you using?
Consider checking the webmail help or customer support.

  • Disabling the attachment preview in Mail

I regularly email large attachments for graphic purposes -

I would rather it didn't preview at all as I know what is there.
Is there a way to change this?

  • How can I disable the link preview pop-up in Firefox 4? (Without installing the old status bar add-on?)

    Thanks in advance.

There is an addon that solves this problem. It restores the "original" status bar like on 3.6 and the pop-up is GONE!!
Go to get addons, in the searchbox type without quotes "status-4-evar".

  • I've made a new icon for a folder, using icon composer. But when I add it to the folder in the icon spot, it changes instead to the generic picture icon with "icns" on it. How do I make sure the picture actually changes to what I want?

So I took a picture of a generic mac osx snow leopard folder (png), layered a picture of a movie reel onto it (png) using the application Gimp, then saved this complete picture as a png. I then took this picture and dragged it into Icon Composer & from there saved the new icon as an icns file. Next, I selected this new icns file, copied it, went into the "Get Info" part for the folder I want, clicked on the little icon in the top left corner, and selected Paste in the Edit menu. The icon did change, but it changed to the generic Preview icon with the letters "icns" across the bottom. Why isn't it changing to the actual picture I made? And how can I fix this or make sure I do get the result I want?
FYI: I have done this EXACT SAME process with other icons I've created, and in the past it has worked fine and changed the icon to the picture that I made. But today it's done this twice, with two different pictures/icons and in different folders.

Did you open the image in Preview? Then make sure you are actually selecting and copying the open image? You can check by going to Finder->Edit->Show Clipboard to see if the image is actually on the Clipboard. Now do GetInfo on the folder you want to have the image, select the wee little icon at the top (make sure it really is selected, the faint blue halo is hard to see) and then Paste. You MUST have permissions to write to the folder! Otherwise nothing will happen. Does the "Sharing and Permissions" section of the GetInfo window, down at the bottom, show your shortname as owner, with Read & Write permission?

  • How to close the scopes / preview window

I guess I have the opposite problem that most people have (I did try to do a search on this one). I would like to close or disable the scopes/preview window. Is there anyway to do this?
I am running 1 large monitor and would love to just have the main color interface fill the entire screen. (I have read that color is designed for 2 monitors.. but it's easier to fit one large (28") monitor on my desk rather than 2 smaller ones) In single display mode, I can minimize the scopes window, but I can't seem to maximize the main color window. If I do dual monitor mode, I can minimize the scopes window, but when I hit play, it pops up and jumps in front of my main window. I have a kona for my external monitor and I have an external scope.
Is there anything I can do? Did Apple just not give us many ways to customize the interface (Can't re-size the main color window)? I am running color 1.0.4 on OS X 10.4.11 (on a G5), and have the ATI X800 XT.
    Thanks so much,
    Peter

+Then the scopes screen jumps in front of my main grading window.+
Don't know why this is happening to you. Under window set for a single display and restart Color. If your doing DVD/TV work the only monitor that going to be any help is a grading TV monitor. A second computer monitor would be a waste and useless.
I have a two screen setup. I mainly do work for internet delivery. I have Color set up for single display. My main monitor (calibrated as close as I can get it) is better than my second monitor. And that's were I view my Quicktime videos. The second monitor is only used for programs tools/pallets. When I do something for TV I set up a second TV monitor.

  • Preview Icons become generic

When dragging an image file (with a preview icon showing the small representation of that image) is dragged from it's original folder to a new one, the preview disappears and is replaced with a generic "EPS" or "Jpeg" grey icon. Futher, if I get information about the file, the preview picture of the image also shows just a generic file type icon, even though I can see clearly the preview icon. This is so frustrating, as I must then batch process images in photoshop to have a new preview image show up. Extra annoying is that when I browse to the folder using Photoshop the image preview icons are intact...
To make things even more annoying, the process is inconsistent. If I drag the a eps file from the original folder with the image preview into a new folder, the preview may be missing. If I drag and drag, creating multiple copies of the file in a new folder "hnuewf.eps 1, .2, .3 etc...) almost always one of these attempts will copy correctly, with the preview intact. What the heck is going on!

OPen the folder where this issue is happening, and use the View menu to choose View Options. Make sure the checkbox next to Show icon previews is checked.
    Hope this helps.
