Dear all,
has anyone a solution to disable or hide the menue and transactionfield in a portal transaction iview thats called with wingui.
Webgui is no solution.

thanks for quick response, this will be a option when all clients shoul use this behavior.
I search for a solution, where i can decided in a view to switch it of. Normally i can attach dynpro fields and values with the dynamicparameter, if this can use for hide .. the box or some functions in the gui state.
An other idea is to use a new status for the reports and transactions, but i don't know who use this as parameter.

How to deploy Forms, Reports and Menu from Client to Server machine

Dear Experts,
I have one requirement to deploy the Forms, Reports and Menu from client machine to server machine.
Deployment involves the following steps :
1. Firstly we have to search the selected file in a folder where the .fmx is present ( in Server machine) and take the back up of the the existing file in the server (Source and destination paths will be available).
Ex. If the existing FMB name is TEST.fmx then the backup file should be TEST_sysdate.fmx.
2. Secondly we have to transfer the file from the client folder (or from another folder of the same server) to the server folder where the back up exists.
Please help me to search/rename/copy/replace the _.fmx/.rdf/.rep/.mmx_ files from client to server.
We are using
9i Database.
10g Forms and reports.
SQL Developer tool.
OS is Windows (Client and Server).
Help me out to attach a file of front end screen which we are planning to develop. It will give a clear picture on this requirement.

Welcome to the forum. Please take a while to go through the FAQ to be found to the top right of the page.
Your issue is more to do with batch files rather than Forms. The only relation with Forms, as I see it, is that you will be using HOST/CLIENT_HOST to start a batch file with the file name to be deployed as a parameter passed to it.
You need to rewrite either a CMD batch file or a Powershell script to achieve what have set out to do.
For CMD batch files look up http://www.robvanderwoude.com/battech.php , or any of the other excellent resources available on the internet.

It is not necessary to delete your old wireless networks first, but doing so may eliminate confusion. If you wish to do that, open System Preferences > Network, and select Wi-Fi from the left column. Click the Advanced... button, then select your old wireless networks and delete them with the "–" (minus) button. Make sure the "Remember networks this computer has joined" remains checked.
OK then Apply.
This prevents your Mac from searching for your previous network which will no longer exist.
A new Express creates an open wireless network that you must select before you can configure it. It appears in your Wi-Fi menu like this:
Select it. AirPort Utility will load and walk you through its configuration.
Edit: If you are really using OS X 10.5.1 as shown in your profile, the above screenshot is not applicable. Instead, select the network called "Apple network nnnnnn" and then launch AirPort Utility.

Mail accounts and folders does not work to install and configure. Migration Assistant does not want to use, as it copies everything, and you only need to e-mail. Read a lot, but nothing works.

Try reindexing the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.
Reindex messages.
If that doesn't work try deleting MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3.
Quit the application.
You need to look in your user Library. Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Mail/V2/Mail Data/MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3. Move the file to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the file from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return thefile to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your User library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.5. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Transaction Variants and menu function

Hi,
When using transaction variants for cutomization (for screen view layout) am encountering the following:
The customized view is diplayed when the t-code with the transaction variant is entered. However, when using the customization and then we try to go into a different mode through the menu option the screen view will go back to the standard view.
Example: for MM01 a transaction variant ZFG01 was created. When in ZFGO1 (enter the t-code ZFG01)and then you go to the menu-display the screen view is that of MM02 and not the customized view of ZFG02
Any advise on this please.

Steps :-
Transaction SHD0 - Create a variant for the required transaction bychanging the layout through hiding fields and screens.
Transaction SE93 - Create a variant transaction (e.g. for VA02 you canname it as ZA02). Next allocate the transaction variant to this varianttransaction.
Create and change the Zxxx area menu with the new transaction variant. In this way, the user does have to remembers any extra transaction codes.
In 4.6c, you can default your transaction variant as the standard variant. (SHD0 - Edit -> Activate/Deactivate asstandard variant)
An example for using transaction variant (restricting the field displayfor CO11N - Goods movement) :-
If you want to restrict changes to the fields in Goods movement forone group of users.
1. Create a transaction variant for CO11N
2. Create a new transction code for the transaction variant and assign an authorization object to it
3. Divide the users into this two transaction code. Those who can change the field using CO11N. For those that have limited
field change, give them the authorizationfor ZCO11 (this is a new transaction code you have to create).

Auomatic TO creation and confirmation from PCN with 321 MVT type

Dear Friends,
I am facing following WM issue, Kindly go through it and reply me with your valuable solution.
In my plant QM is active, so while receiving goods against any Purchase Order (MVT TYPE 101), all my stock goes to quality. After UD check, 99% material move to unrestrictd stock (321 mvt.type) and 1% used for quality (331 mvt. type).
For an example if I have received 1000 kg material (which initially goes to quality), after UD 995 kg material come to unrestricted stock and 5 kg used for quality check.
In my existing system for material document with mvt. type 321, one PCN is generated in the background, and using LT05 we make TO from PCN and confirm it.
But is it posible to create the TO and confirm from the PCN (Mvt. 321) in the backgroung itself, i mean to say that while my QM user is doing UD, material document with mvt 321, one PCN and TO will be generated and TO will be confirmd in the background itself.
I don't want to use LT05 separetely to make TO from PCN.
Please reply me soon.

How to disable auto header and footer from firefox desktop Application

I build a Firefox desktop application for my company. i need to print some page from that application using JS window.print(). It Works Perfectly in my application. But the problem is when it printing my document it prints a header and a footer automatically. I Want to remove this. I can remove this on Firefox browser , but i cant remove this on my application. Please Somebody Help Me.

Brother HL-3170CDW won't print in color, has poor print quality. I have downloaded drivers, and firmware from Brother with no success.

You need to go to the brother website and download the driver for your printer. I had the same problem, and resolved it just now. The driver for this particular printer is not a good match for any of the preinstalled printer drivers on os x.

You have quite a few extensions that sound as though they might be responsible for this. Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step. But hold off on restarting for a moment until checking this second issue:

WL6.1 - browsing and receiving from queues with MDBs

          I have hit on a problem that has been brought up previously without,
          as far as I can tell, any conclusive response.
          I am using a queue which is processed by message driven beans. This
          queue contains jobs which may take a long time to execute and hence it
          is important to allow users to manage the queue. Ideally this
          management should work in the same way as, say, a printer queue where
          it is possible to view queued jobs and cancel them if necessary.
          It has been said that MDBs in WLS6.1 use an internal pipeline which
          [quote from previous thread " QueueBrowser not working in WL6"]
          "uses an optimistic algorithm and pushes the message at the bean
          before it is ready"
          and, sure enough, pointing a queue browser, activated from a JSP, at
          the queue always returns a queue length of zero, whatever the number
          of pooled MDBs and whatever the actual number of messages queued. I
          have worked around this by creating a second 'monitoring' queue not
          listened to by any MDBs and which I then have to manually synchronise
          with the 'real' jobs queue. However, removing jobs does not work
          either (I am storing the job message ID and trying to access the jobs
          queue using this as a selector) since the queue is empty when looked
          at from any client which is not the listening MDB. In contrast with
          the browsing, there seems to be no obvious way around this as I need
          to access the jobs queue itself before I can remove any jobs.
          My intended 'queue management' functionality does not seem
          particularly esoteric to me and hence I am puzzled that this appears
          difficult to implement. I have therefore been wondering whether I have
          been missing any obvious point and I would be grateful to hear of
          anybody else's experiences trying to achieve similar functionality.

Hi Peter,
          Since 6.0, when pipelining was introduced,
          the pipeline size is configurable via the connection
          factory (see "MessagesMaximum"). To tune this setting,
          you will need to configure a
          custom connection factory for the MDB rather than use
          the default one, and specify its name in the xml descriptor.
          I'm a little surprised you did not find reference to this
          setting in your search.
          Regardless, you will not be able to stop the current message in the MDB.
          In the next release (beta December) you can force the current tx to
          rollback through the JTA mbeans. Of course, this won't stop
          the onMessage() from continuing its work, but it will
          guarantee that any of its transactional
          work will be ultimately discarded.
          Since the app server has no control of the thread
          once it is passed to the MDB app (it can't just kill
          the thread), you will need to roll your
          own mechanism to make it stop. One possibility is to have your MDB
          "register" that it is starting with a "manager" application, and then
          have the MDB poll this application to see if the system admin
          has requested that the current job be aborted.
          You will likely find it useful to read through the JMS FAQ. You
          might also find it useful to look at the jsp queue browser app
          posted on dev2dev by Adarsh...

Updating DB from beans with transactions

Hello,
I have a 4 step form to input data from a user.
step1.jsp, step2.jsp, step3.jsp, step4.jsp, submit.jsp
For every form, I am using a javabean (jsp:useBean) with session scope so that I can update all at the end. So in step2.jsp, I set the properties of Bean1, in step3.jsp- the properties of Bean2... and finally in submit.jsp I get all the 5 beans with session scope.
I now want to insert values from these different beans simultaneously into a Database. (single commit)
If I want to use Transactions, how can I get the values from these beans (Bean1, Bean2, Bean3, and Bean4) to a single class? Or can you suggest another method?
