Disable Word Safe Mode Prompt?

Hey fellas,
Wondering if someone can help out with an answer on how to disable a prompt on safe mode when opening a Word doc.
Some background..
Word 2010 Pro Plus on Windows 7 x86. Site is a school, only account doing this our locked down exam account. Pretty policied out, with a Word template launching on startup & running some macros.
Occasionally, the following error comes up...
"Word failed to start correctly last time. Starting Word in safe mode will help you to correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start Word in safe mode?"
I'm not too concerned with the 'why' part of the problem...everything functions fine apart from this prompt. Just looking for a way to disable it. I've been all over- haven't been able to find much. I did see a couple things pointing towards a policy of
enabling ActiveX Control Initialization (1)...that had no effect for me.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

So let me ask you this, if you get that message and no matter what you select it goes back to that message unless you take the check mark out of the restart Word box and then it closes all together? How can I get it to work on the terminal for that user?
She can open it fine on a different terminal. I already deleted her local profile and that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot get my add-ons (Just one in appreances) to come back, it says ...All addons have been disabled by safe mode? how do i turn off safe mode?

Make sure that you do not press the Shift key if you start Firefox.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.

V 17 & 18 use minimum of 30% cpu (even with all add-ons disable and safe mode) on MacBook 10.7

I have been having problems since release 17 (at least) with Firefox sucking up CPU. I have 4GB ram and often have multiple programs open, including Firefox with between 5 and 15 tabs / windows. Decreasing the number of open tabs / windows will decrease CPU usage by 2% for each tab / window closed until it hits 30%, then no more improvement. Oddly enough it drops to a constant 25% when Firefox is NOT in safe mode and all my plugins are enabled. But not below.
Help. I love firefox, but it is becoming more and more problematic.

that says to turn of the window restore feature in Lion. I turned it off and was able to install AIR and run the AIR application I use.

Firefox always prompts to start in safe mode.

Whenever I start Firefox, it shows a prompt that asks me if I want to continue in safe mode or to quit. It also shows me options like "Reset all user preferences" or "Disable all add-ons" that once checked, will allow me to press the "Make changes and continue" button.
My Firefox version and all my plugins/addons are up-to-date.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. I've already disabled all my plugins and add ons, then quit Firefox. When I open Firefox again, it still shows me the safe mode prompt.
2. I restarted my computer and ran Firefox, same deal.
3. I tried resetting my user preferences as a checkbox option in the prompt, then quit and reopen Firefox, same result.
4. I reinstalled Firefox by downloading the latest version (which I already have). The safe mode prompt still persists.

I solved it. I've previously set my Quicksilver app to open Firefox with a trigger Option + Command + F. Holding the option key while opening Firefox will always show the Safe Mode prompt. I changed my trigger to Command + Shift + F, and now the safe mode prompt is gone :)

Why can't I login to Firefox Accounts to set up Sync? FF30+ keeps telling me to Please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, already tried Safe Mode.

Why can't I log-in to Firefox Accounts to set up Sync from my laptop PC? FF30+ keeps telling me to Please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, and I already tried Safe Mode. This has been happening ever since the new Sync was implemented, so I'm guessing around FF 30. I am now up to FF version 34 and it still isn't working. I have not been able to sync since the "update."
Problem #1: Going to about:accounts and clicking on the blue Get Started button opens a blank screen. There isn't even a prompt about cookies. It's just blank. Screen shot attached.
This is before add-ons are disabled. If they're disabled in Safe Mode, we go to Problem #2.
Problem #2: I skimmed a thread (https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/issues/1017) and tried logging in to Sync through accounts.mozilla.com instead, but though the screen doesn't turn blank while add-ons are still enabled, the "Enable cookies" warning is as far as I can get. Going to about:accounts in Safe Mode has the same result. I have cleared all my cookies and my cache, restarted FF multiple times with and without add-ons enabled, and still nothing. I have browsed this support forum for similar questions, and while other people are having the same issue, none of the other threads have been resolved yet. I know where Firefox's cookie manager is located, and I have toggled all the settings. I even allowed third-party cookies (though I really shouldn't since they're pointless). No difference. Screen shot attached.
I looked in about:config and searched for the word "cookie" in the names, but even doing that is pointless for me since I'm not a programmer and hence ignorant in what all these settings actually mean. Screen shot attached.
I'm at the end of my rope here, guys. It's been months. A year. Maybe more than a year; I don't even know anymore. I just got a new device and I don't want to add all my Firefox information to it one-by-one. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact Mozilla directly, so.... Someone help, please....

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, I already did all of these things. As you can see from the below screenshot, the language is already set. Also, this screenshot was taken in Safe Mode, so NoScript is not enabled. About:accounts still says I need to enable cookies for some reason. So, this solution didn't work....

ITunes does not respond when opening, but works in safe mode

Hey there
So over the last two days or so, my ITunes (Latest version 11.1.4.) on MacBook Pro opens fine but then as soon as I click whatever, it gets stuck on the spinning wheel. I have now read that you can open it in Safe Mode by shift-option-command and click on iTunes on the desktop, which works fine, but is not the ultimate solution.
Would you please have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this?

(It may be reacting badly with the new iTunes version, even though it's been okay with earlier ones.)
b noir, just to confirm - the "Quartz Composer Visualizer.bundle" is working very well on my Mavericks MBP with 11.1.4. Only the Music Visualizers bundles, that need iTunes to run 32bit mode, will no longer run in iTunes 11.1.4., e.g. the iVisualize bundle and the visualizers "Be Composed", etc.
Perhaps is something in the iTunes Visualizer folder, that uses quartz filters requiring advanced features of the graphics card, and therefore disabled in Safe Mode.

Monitor is distorted, but ok in safe mode

IMac 2007 has distorted screen, but it runs fine in safe mode. This happened just after a storm came thru our area, but no loss of power, and other machine on same line has no problems. Screen is broken up in jagged "puzzle pieces".

That may be a faulty graphics chip, since graphics acceleration is disabled in Safe mode. Can you boot from a backup before this problem started ? and/or run the hardware test on original install dvd ?
does it look anything like this, and persist even when started from the install dvd, by having it in the drive & holding C after the chime ?

G4 iBook works in Safe Mode, but not in regular mode (stuck on blue screen)

14" iBook G4 1.2GHz with 1 gig of RAM.
I recently had an issue with this machine in that the image on the screen would freeze but the cursor would be able to move around. This was narrowed down to an issue with the logic board. I wanted something a little more permanent than a shim, so I sent the board in to have it reballed.
After installing the maching back into my iBook, it seemed to work fine until I applied a software update to the machine.
It was then that I got to experience the first of many kernel panics.
Restarting at different times always brought me to the dialog box which states that the machine needed to be restarted in multiple languages.
Running the Apple Hardware Test off my install disks yielded this error code: 2ATI/2/4:113-xxxxx-125
I have no idea what that means. I do know that just before I got the results of the test, the screen changed to all kinds of colors. It was only for a few seconds and then the results (with the error code) were displayed.
Still, not sure what to do next, I tried resetting the PRAM. I also tried resetting the NVRAM.
I also tried booting up into Safe Mode which actually worked. There were no issues with the machine and everything seemed to be working fine.
When I tried to restart the machine in regular mode, I'm taken to the infamous blue screen and the machine just stays there. When I let the machine stay off overnight, it booted up normal, but after applying the software update, the machine was in kernel panic again.
I've tried running fsck, but nothing changes.
I'm still not sure why it seems to work in Safe Mode but not in regular mode.
I'd appreciate any suggestions or ideas.

A couple of the things that are disabled in safe mode are AirPort and non Apple startup items. The easiest thing for you to test is the AirPort card. Shut down and remove the AE card under the keyboard. See if it starts. If it does your AE card is bad. If not, start in safe mode and go to System Preferences>Accounts>youraccount and disable all non Apple startup (LOgin) items by clicking on them and then the minus sign. Restart normally and see if it will start.

Safe mode: visual indicator?

i had to use safe mode extensively to get myself out a major pickle.
i am back up running again, nearly a day later.
but now, i wonder, how do i know for sure, there is no parts of "safe mode" still ON.
is there a visual indicator?
I have my bookmarks, addons back. But things like
- restart is not working.
- permissions are not being saved (e.g. i had to turn OFF the permission allow site to store content for the Amazon CloudReader firefox add-on. Firefox is not remembering i have turned this OFF. I have turned off like 10 times now.... mmm...)

Safe Mode ends the moment you close Firefox and start it normally. You can restart your computer for good measure.<br>
Open the Add-ons Manager, Extensions category. In Safe Mode, all extension and appearance add-ons are disabled, and there's a note at the top that says, "All add-ons have been disabled by safe mode" (This statement isn't actually true: plugins are unaffected by Safe Mode).

Youtube playlists will not autoplay using Firefox version 32 in normal or safe mode

I'm currently using Firefox version 32.0.2.
Recently, playlists on Youtube have ceased autoplaying (and yes, I've made sure that the icon for autoplay is enabled). This persists even with addons disabled in safe mode.
I've tested Chrome and Internet Explorer on the same PC with the same youtube playlists and cannot recreate the problem.

How can I restrict non-adminstrator user from openning Forefox in "safe mode"?

I want to have parental control on the computer. I have added 'ProConn Latte' to Firefox which serves that purpose but my teenager figured out that he can simply open Firefox in "safe mode" (an option under the START menu) and bypass the control. I have already added administrator password security to MSWindows so that he can not work around his limited user settings but the Firefox loophole still remains.

Remember to password protect all admin accounts, including the normally hidden System Administrator account (which probably has no password set by default), but make sure you have that passwords secure somewhere, &/or have a password reset floppy.
A determined & knowledgeable teenager will get past most things you attempt to do, especially if you are not actually watching the computer use; maybe even running a different OS from a CD. Quite possibly the teenager has unrestricted access to the internet elsewhere anyway.

Likely it's the quartz driver, that is disabled in Safe Mode.

Trouble with Canon MF4370dn and Safe Mode

This printer is a real bear.
Thanks to other folks' work here, I was able to get this printer properly installed and working in Safe Mode (printing and scanning), but as soon as I restart and attempt the same operations in "regular mode," I get stuck. Printing results in "Could not open printer" error. MF Toolbox launches but won't recognize the scanner.
Printer is connected directly to Mac mini running 10.6.6 via a single usb cable. No hubs or extensions.
So what could be interfering after rebooting out of Safe Mode? So strange to me (and more than a little frustrating).

What third-party extensions or drivers do you have installed, say for other peripherals, prior printers/scanners, or incompatible plug-ins such as preference panes, startup items, etc. Check for anything that is disabled in safe mode.
