Disabled then enabled account issue....

Here is the issue I am having. There was an account that had been disabled. Today I went and enabled the account and tested it on one of my Windows XP sp3 PC's that has the 4.91sp5 client on it, was able to log in just fine. Just got a report that on a Windows 7 sp1 x64 PC using the Novell Clien 2 sp3 for Windows 7 (IR3) that the account is not being able to be logged in on using the account. The error that is given is a pop up Novell Security Message saying "Your account is disabled or expired! Contact your System Administrator." Behind the pop up is a error "Login failed Error code: 0x800789DC". I have tried this on other win7 PC x64 PC's and they all give the same error.
Background on our network we are obviously Novell shop running ZCM 11.1 and our servers are OES2.

  • I disabled a mail account...

    I disabled a mail account on my macbook pro. I did this because I was moving to a new mail server and the old mail server was off line. BUT then I noticed that the entire mailbox, and all of my old mail was gone from the mail application. So I re-enabled it, but then it just created an empty mail box. I have been trying to figure out how to find my old mail, as its kind of important.
    I disabled, then enabled the email from:
    Mail-> preferences -> ( choose the account) select advanced tab, unclick the "enable this account" check box.
    then the account and all my email disappears... I re-enable it, and an empty account appears.
    how do I get the old mail back?

    try rebuilding the inbox for that account. enable the account, select its inbox and go to mailbox menu->rebuild.

  • Rules are disabled after disabling/enabling account.

    Hi,
    I have an applescript that enables or disables my work account depending on whether or not I have a VPN connection. My problem occurs when:
    1. The work account is disabled
    2. Mail is restarted
    3. The work account is enabled again
    At this point all of my rules associated with the work account are disabled. I can't imagine that this is the intended behavior.
    I can re-enable all of the rules with Applescript, but it seems like I shouldn't have to.
    The problem can be reproduced without using Applescript by disabling/enabling the account in Mail preferences.

    A little more info on the subject of rules, monitors, and alerting:
    Alerts based off of Rules will not close themselves, they will always need to be closed manually. If they were alerts based off of Monitors they would (in most cases) close themselves after disabling them. If you don't want to script closing the alerts based
    off the rules you can always filter or sort your alerts in the console and select all or selectively select the ones you want to close all at once and then right click and close the alerts based off rules. One other thing, for alerts based off monitors
    it is usually best to reset the health of an object and let the monitor close itself rather than close an alert based of a monitor if you have a need to close it. That is unless something funky happened where the health of the object changed to healthy
    and for some reason the alert didn't close in which case you can close it. The reason you dont want to just close an alert based off a monitor is because it wont reset the health of the object being monitored and will therefore not re-alert if the issue returns.

    My organization is having quite a few issues now that we're finally rid of XP. We think we've narrowed it down to the default setting of Win 7 NIC cards Power Management, specifically the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
    checkbox being enabled (checked). Example below:
    We've had hundreds of complaints of disconnects and issues re-connecting when people leave their computer at lunchtime or an extended break, and on a few dozen of those specific people we have tried disabling this (manually) and they report the issue has
    stopped for them. We'd like to test this on a few dozen more people, but they're at remote locations and we'd have to do it remotely. Making the actual change isn't a problem, it's a specific registry key located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\
    - the problem is the NIC needs to be disabled and re-enabled after changing the key to make it stick, otherwise it seems to revert back to a default (which is that box checked on).
    Does anyone know of a way to disable and then re-enable a NIC on a remote machine via PowerShell? We have full remote access to these machines, so we can copy scripts to them or invoke-command if need be.

    If running PowerShell V3, you can take advantage of disconnected remote sessions to continue running code even if the session has been disconnected (and in theory should work if the NIC drops).
    Something like this should work:
    #Create the session option; Drop is important so the command execution continues on after the disconnect

  • In ios 7, all of my settings are lost if I disable and then enable Restrictions.

    In ios 7, when I set various settings under Restrictions (In General-Settings-Restrictions), all of my settings keep getting lost whenever I disable and then enable Restrictions. Is there some other way to 'toggle' restrictions on and off? I want to be able to toggle my restrictions on whenever I give my phone to my child, but when I click on 'Enable Restrictions', it clears all of the restriction settings I just set!
    This is either a very annoying bug, or I am missing something.

    I suppose I could delete it, but the whole point of multiple accounts is so I can post to either. One is mine, one is my wife's. If it is not enabled why would I need to log into it to post to my own account. The system has no problem associating existing albums with my account, I is only failing to allow me to choose only my account to create an new one. It is clearly designed to handle multiple accounts, but seems to have a bug directing it to ask for the password for a disabled account instead of allowing selection of and posting to the enabled one.

    There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.

  • Since FF31 bookmarks toolbar doesn't always show on startup. Corrected per session by disable (then re-enable) via View- Toolbars- Bookmarks Toolbar

    The above problem only occurs occasionally on startup. Bookmarks Toolbar reappears after disable/re-enabling (as outlined in question) but its occasional absence is annoying.

    Hey , Thanks for getting back to me regarding this Scan to Computer issue. I am happy to hear that you are able to scan successfully when initiated from the HP Scan software on your computer. There is a chance that there is a background program running on your computer that is blocking the Scan to Computer service. Therefore, I am going to have you temporarily disable the background programs from running on your Windows 7 computer. Once disabled, I will have you attempt to Enable the Scan to Computer feature and test scanning from the front panel of one of your HP Officejet 8600 printers. Please follow the steps below.  Step 1: MSCONFIG (Disable):   Click on your Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box right above Start, type msconfig and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the System Configuration Window opens select 'Selective Startup' and uncheck Load Startup ItemsClick the Services tab.     You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on any devices by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
    If you can't remember your answers, then if have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

    When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

    I have a large javabean area on my initial canvas when first dispalying my form.
    When I use the SHOW_CANVAS('canvas name') to display another canvas, everything looks fine except that the javabean from my previous canvas is still visible and covering up portions of this new canvas.
    So I tried using the set_property visible for the javabean area in the form and it only got rid of the surrounding edge of the javabean area.
    Last I made some set_custom_property values to send to the bean that would then use java calls to enable and disable the beans visability.
    But once the beans visibility was disabled in Java then it wouldn't come back after the calls to enable the visibility and refresh the bean were made through Java calls.
    Is there any other ways of disabling and enabling a java bean area's visability?

    Maybe the bean is always display because of its particular paint() method ?
    Anyway, without any reflexion, I could suggest you to set the bean item width and height to 1 pixel when you don't want to display it. (Set_Item_Property)
