Disabled user commands

Hi All, I have a strange situation here. We are running Essbase 6.5.1 on Win2K. Whenever a user tries to COPY a db from App Manager. It halts all operations on the essbase server. It doesn't allow any new connection, and any user trying to connect either get a hanging screen or a msg saying "Administrator has temporarily disable user commands" Any leads on this message will be helpful. Thanks in advance Maneesh Hari

We also run Essbase 6.5.1 on Win2K platform.Essbase is set up to freeze any activity (access to essabse.sec file, calc runs...) during a database copy to avoid any db/file corruption. Thus, it is not a bug but standard "behaviour".To avoid that, Hyperion advised us to upgrade to 7.0.1 in order to setup several Essbase agents. When db copy is performed, only activities related to concerned essbase agent would be frozen. I have not tested this theory but I would be interested in getting confirmation of this 7.0.1 feature.

    Possible Cause
    When a database is being restructured or any application/database on the server is being copied, you can get this message.
    or
    When a cube is being restructured, commands are restricted because the integrity of the cube has to be stable and no one is allowed to access it.
    or
    Copying an application requires that the Essbase security file be in read/write mode and therefore other applications are not accessible until the process is completed.
    Possible Solution
    In Application Settings, verify that the Allow Commands or Allow Updates options are not selected.
    If not selected select those..and try

  • Essbase Error 1013009 - Administrator Has Temporarily Disabled User Command

    Hi guys,
    I'm trying to load an outline from one server to another server. But during the restructuring process, I encountered the error "Essbase Error 1013009 - Administrator Has Temporarily Disabled User Commands". What does this error mean?
    How can I possibly resolve this error? I'm also researching on this error right now.
    Your reply is greatly appreciated.
    By the way I'm using Essbase 6.5
    Cheers!

    So what do you see in the application log? Essbase.log?
    Are other databases locked as well?
    But during the restructuring process,^^^ I'm a little confused by this -- what restructure? If I copy a .otl file from server A to server B, Essbase has to save onto server B, but there isn't a restructure, I think, unless the act of saving forces that?

  • 1013009 - Administrator Has Temporarily Disabled User Commands

    I feel lucky. I got one quirky problem answered today so here is another.
    I have a large report running on 11.1.1.3 Essbase. The os is 64 bit linux. Occasionally we get the following messages:
    ERROR - 1013009 - Administrator Has Temporarily Disabled User Commands.
    ERROR - 1241101 - Unexpected Essbase error 1013009.
    there is no xcp generated.
    To make sure that the application is not in archive mode or that user commands are disabled, I've bookended the report with GETAPPSTATE. When the report fails, the subsequent GETAPPSTATE reports that the app is accepting commands.
    This same report has run successfully in 9.3.1 for months.
    Has anyone else seen this?
    Regards,
    Dave

    Sabrina,
    I'm not ruling anything out at the moment. My suspicion is that it is related to some user action. I think that my next step is to seach the app & br logs near the failed event.

  • Remove GrantSendOnBehalfTo disabled user accounts - A novice at scripting

    Hello.  Can anyone help please
    In our exchange 2010 environment we have users who are granted send on behalf to access.  Obviously some users leave and I m finding that there are ghosts left behind which are causing issues with our team who add users into the grantsendonbehalfto
    option using the EMC.  Using the log view we coy out the command and then remove the disabled user from the command and then paste this into an Exchange Powershell command line.  This wrks because it is doing what Exchange EMC does which is rewrites
    the -GrantSendOnBehalfTo option in it new entirety.
    The problem occurs because I need to remove these en-mass from approx 700 plus accounts.
    I have tried to modify one user in order to get the script to work but it doesn't.
    This is the error message that happens when I run the script below against a known account with at least 2 disabled users in:-

  • Disabling user interface until  http request is finished

    We are using JDeveloper 11 TP2 and we have fallowing problem. In our jspx pages (ADF Faces) in case when user clicks command button after it has been already clicked and before that first request is finished then action listener is triggered twice. We want to prevent that multiple action listener execution. How we can do that? Is there any way to maybe disable user interface until the request is finished.
    Thanks in advance

    We have solved our problem. Our solution is not general but in our case is good enough.
    I have done it like this:
    In jspx page we put javascript method.
    function setToolbarButtonDisabled(ev){
    ev.getSource().setDisabled(true);
    On button that should be disabled after click put Client Listener.
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="#{ui_labels.newPartners}"
    icon="/images/new_ena.png"
    id="createPartnersBtn"
    binding="#{partnersBacking.createPartnersBtn}"
    actionListener="#{partnersBacking.createNewPartners}">
    <af:clientListener method="setToolbarButtonDisabled"
    type="click"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>
    With this after first click button is unabled .
    Later when we need to enable button we do it with method
    public void enableBtn(RichCommandToolbarButton btn){
    btn.setDisabled(false);
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(btn);
    This method is in backing been for that page and it is called in action listener for action (click on some third button ) that should enable disabled button.

  • Disable Inbox Rules for Disable Users

    I have found that when our helpdesk disables an AD user account (terminated employee) that has an Outlook inbox rule to forward the email to an email address outside the organization, emails sent to the former employee are still forwarded to that outside
    email address.  I would like to run a script each day that queries AD for all disabled accounts, removes any forwarding SMTP adresses, then removes all mailbox inbox rules.  I have been trying to use get-aduser against a DC and export the list of
    disabled users, this works fine.  I then take that csv, import it and use -foreach-object to set the forwarding smtp address to null.  I would then like to use the same csv file to run the -removeinbox rule command against the list.  I am having
    a hard time time combining the commands I need into a PS script that works against both AD and Exchange.
    Anyone have some powershell kung fu to assist me?  Thank you!
    ~Eric

    Hi Eric,
    According to your description, I understand that you want a script to get a list of disabled AD user, then removes any forwarding SMTP addresses, then removes all mailbox inbox rules.
    We can run following command to get a list of disabled AD user in PowerShell:
    Get-ADUser -Filter 'Enabled -eq "false"' | select name,userprincipalname
    More details about “How Can I Get a List of All the Disabled User Accounts in Active Directory? “, for your reference:

    Also, run below command to disable forwarding SMTP address and inbox rule:
    Get-Mailbox  -Identity xxxx | Set-Mailbox -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $false
    Get-InboxRule –Mailbox xxxx | remove-InboxRule
    However, we recommend use this disable AD user to disable mailbox.

    any ideas why I get this and how to fix it?
    thanks

    Step by step:
    This gets all user accounts:
    $users=get-qaduser
    This filters an out an single OU.
    $users=get-qaduser | where{$_.ParentContainerDN -ne 'ou=Service Accounts,dc=contoso,dc-com'}
    Now add the exclusion for the logindate
    $users=get-qaduser
    |
            Where-Object{$_.ParentContainerDN
    -ne 'ou=Service Accounts,dc=contoso,dc-com'}
    |
            Where-Object{$_.LastLogon
    -lt $oldestdate}
    Now check $users to be sure it contains what you want.
    Now test to see if you can disable them:
    $users | Disable-QADUser -WhaztIf
    Try it.

  • Connect to a disabled User's Mailbox

    I am trying to connect a disabled users mailbox to a open active mailbox
    scenario is
    1.  someone is no longer working at Company A
    2.  His boss wants to have access to that person's workspace.
    I am looking for the powershell commands to link the person no longer employed to his boss (who currently is still working at the same company)
    Thanks for any of your thoughts and ideas.

    You can't do it.
    You will have to create a Test AD Account to connect that disabled (Disconnected Mailbox) first and then give full access to your BOSS on that mailbox.

  • No User: command implementation?

    Hello folks,
    I'd just like a confirmation here as I haven't seen it black on white in other posts in the forum but have seen enough signs to expect the worst here :(
    I gather that libspamass.so does NOT supply the User: command in its implementation of the spamd protocol. Correct? So this means no per-user preferences are possible (SQL, LDAP etc etc).
    Cheers

    Hi,
    Well, sendmail will take the user portion of the
    e-mail address and look up the LDAP store in DS 5.2
    for objects having UID="user portion of the e-mail
    address" AND posixAccount value in the multi-valued
    objectClass attribute (it also queries LDAP for some
    alias that = "user portion of the e-mail address" but
    I don't remember the specific attribute that sendmail
    filters by in its LDAP query). I read this out of the
    DS 5.2 log whilst looking for sendmail's interaction
    with the LDAP server.I figured that this would be the case. Where this gets complex is if you start having multiple domains, rewrite rules, email forwarding etc. For a controlled environment implementation such as what you describe it is very-much workable.
    Then once sendmail gets its spamassassin verdict, I
    need it to return the message back to MS 6.2. I
    haven't got that detail worked out yet (neither do I
    know whether I can actually do it without modifying
    sendmail source code).Probably the easiest way to get this back to messaging server is to add an email header (e.g. X-Spam-Level: *******) and then use a sieve filter in each users entry to filter as appropriate. This is how I implemented our Spam filtering.
    Regarding user preferences, custom whitelists and
    blacklists would be useful. It would also be useful
    to give each user the facility to decide on his own
    threshold score (as you mentioned). All of these can be controlled/implemented through sieve-filters. We implemented custom whitelists (not blacklists as we didn't want students rejecting 'important' emails). There has been discussion on this forum with regards to implementing blacklists in LDAP that way you can reject-before-accept emails.
    Most of the work tends to be on the user-interface level -- writing the tool that tweaks the appropriate Sieve-filter/LDAP/SQL entries for the user.
    Yes, group mail processing would be a problem but I
    get the impression that the developers of Messaging
    Server have tended to discard features that pose
    operational problems rather than implement them and
    leave it to the system engineers to decide upon their
    application.Unfortunately (and as support cases show all too clear) given messaging server admins a loaded gun such as this is usually a mistake. The current spamassassin plugin has proven to be very popular, and easy to implement.
    If more advanced admins want to implement their own improved/custom version they can do so through any number of approaches (of which you are using one). I personally chose to write a custom channel which was able to virus-scan/spam-scan/replace attachments in one sweep just the way my organisation liked.
    If I was to do something like this today, I would go down the milter approach (coming soon in messaging server 6.3).
    In this case, I think that libspamass.so
    should have implemented the User command but come
    with it disabled by default. Similarly, when we
    discussed mailfromdnsverify, the extra verifications
    would have been useful but were omitted and during
    that thread it was hinted that the processing load of
    those extra verifications was a factor in the
    decision to omit them. I didn't necessarily agree with this either, which is why I recommend that you log an RFE to have this facility improved. The mailfromdnsverify code hasn't been modified in a very long time -- so unless an actual customer asks for improvements they won't occur. The developers have plenty on their plate already so request from inside tend to have less impact then those from paying customers.
    Resource provisioning is the
    system engineer's problem, not the developers'.Can I quote you on this :)
    Regards,
    Shane.

    Any application, whether professional or otherwise, that uses modal dialog boxes follows the universal convention where the Escape key equals hitting the CANCEL button in the modal dialog box.
    Remember that ACR is just a plug-in, and the way that plug-in is designed is to work through a single modal box with multiple tabs and settings.
    Petrbr9 wrote:

    …and there is your answer: until you hit either Done, Open or Save in the ACR modal dialog box, you have not applied any action to your work at all, you have just been looking at the preview when you manipulate the sliders and fields in the various tabs.
    It's no different than calling up a filter in Photoshop, say a noise-reduction filter, and hitting the Escape key before applying the settings to the image after fiddling with the sliders.
    My advice remains to keep in mind ACR is a modal dialog box and stop hitting the Escape key before applying your settings to the image.  It is that simple.  After all, the darned Escape key is physically located way out in the back of left field on the keyboard for that reason.

  • Disable user accounts on Unix, Linux resorces

    Hi Everyone
    I try to understand disable user account action on Unix, Linux systems
    In Resource reference doc. I see the next:
    Linux does not natively support Waveset enable and disable actions.
    Waveset simulates enabling and disabling accounts by changing the
    user password. The changed password is exposed on enable actions,
    but it is not exposed on disable actions.
    As a result, enable and disable actions are processed as update actions.
    Any before or after actions that have been configured to operate on
    updates will execute.
    So what kind of commands waveset using for this action:
    passwd -l <Username>
    or just change password?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The out of the box adapter changes the user's Linux password on disable action.
    To Implement locking of account by running "passwd -l username", you need to write a resource action and call it explicitly. Hope it helps
