Disabled user function causing problems?

Hi
I made a commercial DVD for which I had to insert an "FBI warning and copyright" video track as First Play. To not allow viewers to skip the warning, I disabled all user functions for that track.
Now, when I view the VTS using Apple's DVD player, everything looks great. But when I play the physical DVD in another, regular DVD player, towards the end of the FBI warning there's a brief jump/flash frame in the middle of the copyright.
I haven't re-built the VTS yet ... but does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone?

No, I never had this problem. I dont disable all user functions, only those i want to be disabled. But this "should" not be the problem

  • Customizing the "DISABLE USER"  Function

    Hi.
    I am trying to customize the *"Disable User"* Function in IDM.
    I have created a small User Form, which contains a simple Checkbox. When this Checkbox is checked, I would like to DISABLE a given User.
    Basically, I know that this can be done from the Main IDM User Interface (User-----Disable), etc, etc. But, I actually want to Disable this particular function completely.
    What I mean is : I want to disable it for certain Admin Users.
    So, I guess I have two questions :
    (a) If I disable this function for a particular Administrator (meaning, this administrator would NOT have the capability to disable users), then would this same administrator still have the capability to DISABLE users via the user form which I created?
    (b) How exactly can I invoke/execute the "DISABLE USER" function from my user form? When the "Checkbox" there is checked...........*what then?*
    Thanks.

    Oops! Slight problem.
    The code you gave me doesn't seem to work. I keep getting the error "Unknown op value"
    (I think it's referring to the part where : *"<Argument name='op' value='disableUser'/>"*
    However, I might have a solution : perhaps the problem stems from the fact that I am using a CHECKBOX, to activate "Disable User";
    perhaps, I ought to be using something else *(like, a BUTTON).*
    Logically, this might make sense (and it might explain why I am getting that error).
    Let's say that I disable a user by "checking" that checkbox; but, what if I want to RE-ENABLE that User? Of course, I could simply insert another "Action", which enables user by "Un-checking". But, perhaps, the workflow would prefer if I simply had two separate Buttons : one for ENABLE, another for  DISABLE.
    What do you think about this?
    Thanks, Sec_Tk
    P. S. Sorry, but you didnt mention what I asked about initially : if a certain Administrator does not have the "DISABLE USER"  capability, can he still effectively perform this "Disable" task from the User Form?

  • HT5824 cannot login to icloud on phone, old user id causing problems

    Help, I have an old user id that was backed up onto my computer. I got a new iphone 5s and restored from computer instead of from icloud. Now i can't sign into icloud on my new phone and cannot turn off "Find iphone". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have gone to the icloud.com web site there is no trace of the old user id.
    That sounds as though it's the same account with a changed address. If so...
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • Use of user function

    Hello,
    Does someone know if it is possible to create an ODI Sequence where the filter to extract only a single record is an user function ?
    Cause it seems to not work on my devlopment.
    I can't do it without user function cause the query in my sequence is more than 255 characters.
    Else I'm trying to do the same thing with a variable and a user function but it doesn't work better.
    So does someone know if in a mapping we can execute a user function based on a variable ??
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi BM,
    how are you?
    Did you solve this one? If not I will try to help you....

    I think there is not native rule for this, but you could try a transport rule which removes all attachments over a very small file size like 1KB.

  • Vibration alert causing problems for a deaf iPhone user

    Hello,
    I very recently acquired myself an iPhone 3GS, and have been trying to work out how to make it so I can actually tell when I receive an SMS.
    I'm severely/profoundly deaf and cannot hear the ringtones that come with the iPhone. I also cannot feel the vibration alert as it is so weak on the phone. I wanted to contact apple to discuss this with them as it really is quite discriminating to disabled users, but of course you can only contact them by phone, which is even worse as I can't hear people on the phone!!!
    I'm really quite upset about this as I paid a lot of money for a phone that I love but can't really use due to the lack of vibration. I have constantly missed text messages due to this problem, and so I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me at all?

    Thank you very much for that Feedback link, I wrote them a long email explaining how disappointed I am in their lack of accessibility for those with a hearing impairment. I'm hopeful that they'll actually contact me regarding this, as it is a serious matter that they are not providing for those with a serious hearing impairment (particularly regarding contacting them!)
    I also looked at the TTY adapter, but that wouldn't help me at all, I don't think. I cannot use a phone to call anyone, I use my phone for text messaging and the web, which is why I chose an iPhone on o2, it fitted my needs perfectly (apparently not for vibration, sadly).
    I really appreciate the responses, you've both been very helpful. Just a waiting game to see what happens now really. Thanks again.

  • Apple cause the disabled user identity?

    apple cause the disabled user identity?

    If your account is disabled then depending on the reason why, you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your iPad then try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

  • HI I am facing problem to disable user in LDAP thru SIM

    Hi,I have configured LDAP directory server in sun IDM.
    after creating the user in IDM & LDAP I am trying to disable the user both in SIM as well as LDAP,in the IDM repository it is showing as the user in LDAP got disabled but actually in LDAP the user account is in active state.
    I am not understanding why this problem is coming.Earlier when I tried to diable the user in LDAP thru IDM it was working fine but it is not working now.It is very urgent for me.Can anyone tell the reason.?Any advices will be helpfule.

    There are two ways of disabling ANY account on ANY resource through resourc adapter.
    1) use native method, if it exists.
    2) change password to some value which matches password policy AND completely forget this password.
    The first method is used for some adapters, Oracle for example.
    The second method is used more widely, for Solaris, Redhat Linux, LDAP... and many other resource.
    I believe that they made LDAPResourceAdapter using DisableUser this way so that it can be used for comunicating with non-sun directory servers as well.
    So, disabling user from Identity Manager does not disable the user through setting any native flag on JES Directory Server, but by changing and forgetting password AND marking that account as "disabled" in the Identity Manager instead.
    The user cannot log on anymore, so the "disable" is ok. Although you cannot see that the user is disabled using common ldaptools.

  • Problem while using a user function

    Hi,
    I just want to learn how a user function in ODI works.
    I have created a user function(for Oracle technology).
    In Definition Tab, I gave bfun($(branchc))
    In implementation I gave
    if ($(branchc) = 'it' || 'cse') then
    return('IT')
    else
    return('Non-IT')
    end if
    In a mapping rule i am using it as BFUN(STUDENT.BRANCH)
    I am getting the following error...
    Bad Query: ORA-00904: "BFUN": Invalid Identifier
    select BFUN('STUDENT.BRANCH') from EX.STUDENT STUDENT where (1=2).
    EX is my source schema.
    Please help me in resolving this.

    Hi,
    That is a common error on ODI.
    The ODI function, (as ODI variable) is to "substitute words", it means, ODI is a code generator and a function are made to substitute code, not to "execute" that action coded.
    For instance: If there are a "case when" instruction that is necessary be typed over and over again, at several places just change the column to be evaluate, you can create a ODI function to substitute this code avoiding type it several times and better, let the same code in just one place.
    Is a way to have “Object Orientation” coding (OO) to code generation...
    Does it make any sense to you?

  • Does adding V-Card to signature cause problems for Outlook (Windows) users?

    Hi -
    I want to add a V-Card to my signature in Apple Mail (by drag and drop from address book to signature pane in Mail>Preferences).  I have read that, in the past, this can caused problems for some recipients who use Windows Outlook.
    Is this still the case?  If so, how can I add a V-Card to my signature without causing problems for recipients?
    Thanks -
    Doug

    I take note of your WNLB recommendation but in this case the error start on one of the CAS server first and client connected to the CAS that does not have any errors continue to work as normal.
    I upgraded to SP3 late last year.  This problem first happened in Feb 2014.
    Have you checked the DNS settings on the VM - yes, and both of them are pointing to one of our DC's.
    I would set the client with a Host file to just one CAS to rule out the WNLB - this would be too hard
    to manage as when the issue happens again it could happen on CAS1 but the client could be connected to CAS2 so it wont experience the issue.

  • Remove GrantSendOnBehalfTo disabled user accounts - A novice at scripting

    Hello.  Can anyone help please
    In our exchange 2010 environment we have users who are granted send on behalf to access.  Obviously some users leave and I m finding that there are ghosts left behind which are causing issues with our team who add users into the grantsendonbehalfto
    option using the EMC.  Using the log view we coy out the command and then remove the disabled user from the command and then paste this into an Exchange Powershell command line.  This wrks because it is doing what Exchange EMC does which is rewrites
    the -GrantSendOnBehalfTo option in it new entirety.
    The problem occurs because I need to remove these en-mass from approx 700 plus accounts.
    I have tried to modify one user in order to get the script to work but it doesn't.
    This is the error message that happens when I run the script below against a known account with at least 2 disabled users in:-
    Couldn't find object "xxxxxxxx.xx.xxxxxxx.xxx.xx/DisabledUsers/2013-08/Gaynor Collins-Punter". Please make sure that i

    $mailbox.GrantSendOnBehalfTo.removeat($i)
    $info >> "C:\Scripts\grantsendonbehalfto.csv"
    $mailbox |set-mailbox -GrantSendOnBehalfTo $mailbox.grantsendonbehalfto
    }If you requiere any more info please let me know.

    #1 - I recommend posting in xchange forum fo rhow to do this
    #2 - Wen an account is disabled most on the information in the object is hidden.  YOu would need to undelete to use the object.
    #3 - Get list as text and validaye al values are not deleted accounts.  Remove deleted and save back.

  • Disabling user interface until  http request is finished

    We are using JDeveloper 11 TP2 and we have fallowing problem. In our jspx pages (ADF Faces) in case when user clicks command button after it has been already clicked and before that first request is finished then action listener is triggered twice. We want to prevent that multiple action listener execution. How we can do that? Is there any way to maybe disable user interface until the request is finished.
    Thanks in advance

    We have solved our problem. Our solution is not general but in our case is good enough.
    I have done it like this:
    In jspx page we put javascript method.
    function setToolbarButtonDisabled(ev){
    ev.getSource().setDisabled(true);
    On button that should be disabled after click put Client Listener.
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="#{ui_labels.newPartners}"
    icon="/images/new_ena.png"
    id="createPartnersBtn"
    binding="#{partnersBacking.createPartnersBtn}"
    actionListener="#{partnersBacking.createNewPartners}">
    <af:clientListener method="setToolbarButtonDisabled"
    type="click"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>
    With this after first click button is unabled .
    Later when we need to enable button we do it with method
    public void enableBtn(RichCommandToolbarButton btn){
    btn.setDisabled(false);
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(btn);
    This method is in backing been for that page and it is called in action listener for action (click on some third button ) that should enable disabled button.

  • User function code not substituted

    Hi
    I have a user function (getCode(...)) of the form
    case
    when exists (select * from ...)
    then '!Ok!'
    else '!None!'
    end
    When I use this function in a interface mapping (getCode(a,b,c)), the code is not substituted in the generated query (as seen in the operator):
    insert /*+ APPEND */ into ...
         Z_CODE,
         RUN_NR,
         REC_ID
    select
         getCode( NAME, 'ZIV', 'G' ),
         RUN_NR,
         REC_ID
    from     ...
    where     (1=1)
    and the execution results in an ORA-00904 exception: Invalid column name.
    How come?
    Thanks

    First of all, thanks for your answers!
    The problem was lying in the definition of the function's syntax:
    I'm using the possibility to specify the data_type of the arguments: getCode($(run_nr)n, $(tabi)s, $(code)s).
    Unfortunately, I put a space between the arg_name and the data_type! This causes the function not to be substituted into the query ...
    Once again thanks to all.
    Cheers, Benno

  • Disable user in OIM

    Hi *
    when i disable a user, it should not disable the user access to particular resource in which he is already provisioned.
    this req. looks pretty simple. but i could not find how to implement this functionality in design console.
    pls help me in this regard.
    thanks in advance.

    @OIM Learner.
    If i update AD User ---> Disable User to 'No Effect'
    Than while trying to disable user from Admin console it gives error:
    User Detail >> Resource Profile >> Ad User -> Dsiable
    Thor.API.Exceptions.tcAPIException: Resource is not configured properly.
    Class/Method: ResourceProfileProvisioningTasksAction/dispatchConfirmation encounter some problems: Cannot Disable
    Later i revert back to AD User ---> Disable User to 'Disable Process or Access To Application'
    Admin Console:
    User Detail >> Resource Profile >> Ad User -> Dsiable
    It disables user from AD.
    Is there a way to stop Automatic trigger on OIM User disable. As for our environment user might need to have access to resources even after it being Disable from OIM.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Change User Function Name

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to create menus & responsibilities using data loader so that I don't need to recreate it manually but data loader crashed because some of the user function name are the same.
    For example, open Sysadmin -> Application -> Menu -> AP_PAYMENTS_ENTRY_GUI12 in Vision. In Seq. 3 we have Payments menu with AP_APXPAWKB_CHECK_MENU submenu and Payments functions. Tried to search in Functions LOV and we'll get some User Function Name equal to Payments but different Function Name.
    I'd tried to change some User Function Name and all the menus that directed to it changed too, the referential integrity worked I think :P but I want to ask whether it will caused any trouble if I changed it in Test & Production environment?
    Thx.

    I don't consider those to be "hacks" in my book
    They are just bad design approaches:
    In the first case, you will loose the audit trail to the caller.
    In the second case you will be forced to grant authority to the end user to open a step in another user's context. That will open another backdoor for them as well in SM37 etc...
    > PS: If the real problem is just that you cannot grant the authorization on a certain function module as it is used in different standard applications so the authorization for your program would result in to powerful authorizations in sap standard transactions, the I would copy the function module and use it. This Z fm could be authorized bypassing this problem.
    A better option with less coding involved, would be to use SU24. This way you keep the audit trail and isolate the transaction as being an exception to the standard checks for one specific object. An auditor might wonder why a user can release a PO when they don't have one of the required objects, but they will easily find it if they know where to look.
    It is also easy to do this in a secure way, such that you can document it for the auditor and give it to them upfront to understand. A good auditor should understand and appreciate that.
    If you achieve this programmatically with tricks, you will have a tough time... (as will the auditor).
    I have done many audits and also hunted down some dodgey coding in my time. The idea should not be to run away from the auditors, but rather expect that they know what they are talking about and make your design compliant with their and your client's control requirements.
    This should be the approach regardless of whether or not you can change sy-uname as a developer.
    The original question might also have been: "Can I pass a backdated authority-check against a user who once had the authorizations way back when?" Same thing... bad idea...
    Cheers,
    Julius
