How can I disable all the components in a JPanel?

I want to disable all the components( button, text field ) in a JPanel. I know I can search the panel and disable each of its children component recursively. Is there a better way to do this?

If you mean you want the component to be repainted in its disabled state, then you would need to set the property of each individual component to disable, which would imply some kind of recursion.
If you just want to prevent components from receiving key events and mouse events, then you can use a glass pane or maybe a panel with an overlay layout that contains a non-opaque panel that intercepts all events.

Isn't that just exactly what transaction CO02 does? CO01 is for creating production orders so what sense does it make to have it display mode only?
Maybe your goal is to stop then end user changing the component assignment that is automatically detected by the system. If so, personally I think a better starting point would be PP configuration or user authorizations rather than looking to change the screen by whatever method. As we don't know what you are trying to achieve it's hard to offer much more advice maybe all you need is to change transaction to CO02

Remove the help-desk access to user objects and see if it gets disabled again or not. :)
If you have third party tools which manage user accounts, review their configuration. FIM for example is one of the tools that has authority to disable/enable the accounts. Also If I had no clue what is going one I would enable auditing on user objects and
filter my security event viewer for user changes to see who is disabling them.

I am looking for the exact approach on disabling all the items in the monitoring pack and enabling it on demand type approach.
To do so, I am looking for the effective approach. what all the items which should be disabled from the MP Discovery, so that all monitoring contents in the MP is disabled.
Like example: I want to disable all the Monitoring items in Active Directory so that AD roles is not discovered by SCOM.

You know, a panel is most often a subclass of Container, so all you need to do is recursively disable all child components. The methods getComponents and getComponent are very helpful when trying to access child components. Code likeif ( comp instanceof Container )
// do soemthing
}will help in determining whether a child component is yet another Container.

Education Edge -- Firefox update, 6.0.2, disables all the pull-down menus

We use Education Edge software to manage attendance, grades, etc. at our school. The new Firefox update, 6.0.2, disables all the pull-down menus. They show up, but the fields are all empty. Fix? Is there a way to revert to the previous version which worked fine?

I have this problem on my dual monitor system. I found a solution that works. Click Start, Run, sysdm.cpl
In the resulting System Properties window, click the Advanced tab, then click settings under Performance. You will have one of four radio buttons enabled. Here what I did. I enabled "Adjust for For Best Appearance" and clicked apply. I then unchecked the box "Show Shadow under windows" and clicked apply again. Problem solved.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

It seems that the length depends on the value you get out of the dll (dwARTLen). You have it wired as 100, so it seems the dll simply returns the input. Maybe you want to check the documentation for the dll on how to get the real lenght.
A lot of your code is very confusing....
You have multiple subVIs that are basically identical, but with different names. Wouldn't one of those be enough?
What is the purpose of the FOR loop in the adhc.vi? Since you autoindex into a one-row array it will run only once and the result is the same as if you would delete the FOR loop.
Your main VI is extremely repetitive with lots of duplicate code. You have 12 instances of the filename constant, one would be enough! Enable.vi is identical to disable.vi except for a diagram constant. Many identical string constant ("ATR:", "Card access for device: ", etc.), again one each is enough.
Here a nice state machine would make all the difference. You'll only need about 10% of the current code, eliminating all the repetitions.

Nope, selecting "Use all f1, f2, etc" in system preferences doesn't turn them back on. This is a working brand new full sized mac keyboard that my cats walked on and triggered this mystery. Sadly no, but none of the Mac options for VBA are useable in my opinion, I have stripped VBA (wherever possible) and don't use it, if I have to open a spreadsheet using VBA I have a cheap little Dell laptop and a copy of Office 2007, thankfully I rarely need them.
Correction: Open Office 3.0 and greater does include VBA, but you will have to rewrite the Macros from Excel.
