Disabling Mouse Hover Feature?

Good Evening,
We have a new Pavilion g4-2029 laptop with Windows 7. Both the built-in touchpad and a Logitech mouse we just bought have a very annoying way of interpreting a hover over an item as a "click". I have looked for settings to disable this un-helpful function, but even unchecking a block that talks about "mouse hover for clicking" doesn't change the way anything behaves.
Can somebody please tell me how to turn this off, so that we have to Click using buttons as on a regular PC?

There is no option to diable auto-alignment in FormsCentral, but you may create a PDF form in Acrobat pro and then import it into FormsCentral to distribute it.

Mouse hover doesn't produce preview in an application

I use a Bible program called Logos 5. For months I have had an issue where my mouse hover over a reference doesn't produce a preview, but only in one area of the program - my personal notes.
Recevied an email from the comany that said,
That specific tool tip is one that we are relying on Apple to make a call back to us for it to appear. What this means is at some point you, or a piece of software you’ve installed, or changed settings from, has modified the Apple tool-tip settings which is, in this case, disabling that tool-tip. The fact that it does appear when you hold down a modifying key also points to the fact that this is a system setting that has been modified.
Any clue what program or setting could have interfered? I do not have this problem on an older iMac with the same program & files loaded.

I have got LabVIEW 8.0. I make a VI for discovering BT targets. It works fine on my computer and also fine when I make a application.
I don't have any problem with this function and the discovering of BT
target. I made the test of the PC of my collaegue and It works fine too.
Two tests done : One with a own Vi and an own application on my PC ==> everything OK
                            One with the Vi and application of Aquila1981 from the folder "rest.zip" (see first thread)==> everything OK

Permanently disable this security feature

So I ask again in a very easy simple way: is there any possibility how I either can permanently disable this security feature which tell you "This Connection is Untrusted" through e.g. changing anything in about:config . Or, is there any way that this can be done easier, e.g. take IE or Chrome as an example. There you can pass this with max two mouse clicks.

Though I am (also) an IT Professional, so I do understand the problem why it appears. I can only speak for myself: we have a bunch of we based services we offer in our company. I do understand that the problem are not the websites, but it is me and my IT department that we did not implement our certificate in all web servers in a right. (yes, we will do this, it is in our pipeline...). However, I just see that it is easier with IE and Chrome to pass this security breach, what it isn't, as it is only our internal web services, some of them at least.
However, so for me when i am testing applications it would be easier that it would be more user friendly with Firefox, like with Chrome and IE.
So I guess the answer is NO then, that at the moment there is no other way to pass this security question.
So, my feedback to Mozilla: even if the problem is somewhere else, please make it more user friendly on your side => less mouse clicks, and messages what a normal user also understands, like in Chrome....

Disable online services/features in Acrobat Reader DC?

With the new update being released from Reader to Acrobat Reader DC, I have concerns with the use of cloud storage and storing sensitive data.
I have looked around and the only information I have found for disabling these new features are in reference to groups who use the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC, which means they would be running an Enterprise version.
I have installed and tested the new Acrobat Reader DC on both Windows and OS X, there are no obvious options for disabling the services that I am referring to.
Services I am referencing:
Adobe cloud storage service
Sending and tracking documents
Syncing across multiple devices (by use of cloud storage)
Is there a way to disable the use of these services on an individual (non Enterprise) install of Acrobat Reader DC?

You can use the Adobe Customization Wizard DC on both Reader DC (Classic or Perpetual) versions.

Is there a way to disable mouse acceleration in OSX Yosemite?

i have used my dads iMac and MBP in the past and always noticed how bad the mouse response was in my opinion. Mind you, some people like the way the mouse responds in OSX and will probably have no idea what my issue is. That is mouse acceleration and the lack of option to disable it in the mouse settings panel. Here is a good explanation about what it is, also in the video is a visual example.
"Mouse or cursor acceleration, to put it simply, makes the travel distance of your cursor on the screen reliant of the velocity of your physical mouse movement rather than just the distance that you move your mouse. So making one movement of the same distance at two different speeds will cause two different relative cursor movements, with quick movement causing the cursor to travel a greater distance."

So the thing i want to accomplish, is making the physical mouse movement one-to-one with the cursor speed on the screen. As an example: moving my mouse 10 cm would always make my mouse on the screen go 1000 pixels, no matter how fast i move my mouse.
I've had my mouse set up like that in windows and linux for quite some time now and i hope there is an easy way to set the mouse response like that in OSX as well.
I want to make clear that this isn't just an issue in games where you want to have great mouse precision. I have become really accustomed to this way of mouse response in any type of application. So the problem lies not in any mouse settings of any game/program. The problem lies in how OSX translates physical mouse movement to cursor movement.
Anyway, i ran into this issue about a year ago when i was using my dad's computer. i've had my own windows computer for some time now. An option to disable mouse acceleration in OSX Yosemite might have been implemented properly in the mean time. I have searched this community and found some old posts of people who had this same problem as me, but never read about any fix for it. The main reason i am asking this is because i am considering buying a Macbook.
I'd rather not use any third party software, but if there is any out that that just works and is easy to use, let me know.

Anyway, Yosemite seems to enable mouse acceleration by default. You can disable it to get a constant pixels pointer moves / meters mouse moved ratio by typing this in terminal:
defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1
you'll need to logout and log back in for changes to take effect. To restore the standard behaviour:
defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling 2
should do the trick.

If you don't want a :hover state to show in the phone css of a fluid grid layout, you would remove it from the global settings and only include it in the tablet and desktop media queries.
Or are you trying to do something else?

Bubble Chart mouse hover issue

Hi,
we are facing problem in removing mouse hover data point in the bubble chart.
Requirement is such that we do not want to show a data point in mouse hover in a bubble chart.Since size of bubbles in the chart have been mapped with these values,these are necessarily shown as a data points in mouse hover.
Is there any means by which we can continue mapping size to these data values and still not show in the bubble chart mouse hover.

When I'm on an email FF stops me from linking to other pages/sites. Requires that I press Allow. This started recently. How do I disable this annoying feature?

When I am reading an email that I received and want to follow a link in that email, FF prevents me from doing so. It shows a new pane informing me that FF has prevented me from following the link. If I click the "Allow" button in the upper left-hand corner, I am then linked through.
This does not happen when I am on a particular website. In that case I have no trouble navigating the indicated links.
FF Preferences does not give me a way to disable this annoying feature that slows me down.
This problem started recently - possibly the last two weeks. It recurs whenever I use FF.
How can I disable this annoying "feature"?

Making tooltip appear on other events (not just mouse hover)

Is there a way to make tooltip text appear besides merely the mouse hover event? For example, could you set it to appear with Click, Enter, Exit and/or Change?
And if you can, will those pesky Javascript warnings popup too?

I have three iPhone users here at work who are experiencing similar symptoms, also all starting yesterday afternoon (February 4, 2014). All events still appear in the calendars on their iPhones, but very few events appear in their calendars on iCloud.com website.
For days that show some items, viewing that day in "Day mode" on iCloud.com then causes the missing events to appear for that day. But some days show no events at all on iCloud.com, and viewing those days in "Day mode" does nothing.
All three users tend to have lots of "all-day" events on their calendars.
It is as though the iCloud.com website's calendar is not properly refreshing or displaying the events which are clearly still saved in their iCloud accounts.
(As a side, all three users can still see all events in Outlook on their PCs, which is set to sync with the iCloud accounts).
Anyone else seeing this or have any suggestions?

Mouse Hover in some browsers displayed...

I noticed something funny while testing my website in browser labs. I have some css rules to change some background colors for mouse hover. In the browsers I tested, Firefox 4.0 for Windows seems to show these rules for approximately the center of the page (e.g. it acts as if there is a mouse hovering there).
Since this is not consistent between browsers, it would be preferable if the mouse didn't hover over pages at all (unless you can let us set where and do this for all browsers).
edit: actually this stopped and then reappeared, so it seems to be inconsistent even within the same browser. It's hard to tell if I messed up a css rule when the displayed page might be different in browserlab between refreshes (but without a change in my code).

Mouse Hover Color in Horizontal Dropdown Navigation

Mouse Hover color in the Horizontal Dropdown Navigation scheme is not changed even if you apply a different stylesheet. It remains the default blue. Is there a setting some where or it needs to be modified in the navigation scheme.

Are you talking about the mouse hover color for the dropdown menu entries? That stylesheet class is defined in a different stylesheet. Look in
<imageserver dir>\imageserver\plumtree\common\private\js\jsportalmenus\122846\styles\css\PTPMMenu.css.
The number might be different on your system. If you view the HTML source on a portalpage and search for PTPMMenu.css you will see the number your portal is using. The styleclasses you want to change in PTPMMenu.css are .PTPMMenuBody .hoverand .PTPMMenuBody .hover td. You might also need to change other classes with the highlight color depending on the type of entries you have in your menus.

We use Adobe robohelp to provide online help for our product. i am currently doing a research to include mouse spotlight feature, such that when the user moves the cursor on a certain part of the image, help pops up for that part only and rest of the image is dim.
To get an idea, if any one has visited vodafone website, there the help for the bill page appears in a such manner. i want to replicate the same for my help page.
is this possible through robohelp or dreamweaver or any other product of robohelp.
or work around for this feature using any other product of robohelp..
any idea or suggestion would be appreciated

I have disabled toolbar , navigation bar using navpanes=0&toolbar=0.
But when mouse right click reenable the context menu again.
So Is there any way to disable mouse righ click inside Adobe Acrobat PDF browser plugin?

I had the same problem after updating Firefox to version 4.0 and Acrobat Reader to Version X. For me (Win XP) what solve the problem was deleting the Acrobat Reader Plugin (nppdf32.dll) in the Firefox plugin folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins). So now there is only one Acrobat Reader Plugin left namely the one in the Acrobat Reader plugin folder (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\Browser).
