Disabling Related Content for groups of users

I only want certain members of my user community to have access to the related content I am providing, and want to exclude all other users from any related content.
Does anyone know of a way to disable related content in PeopleTools 8.50 for groups of users (i.e. I want to hide the Related Information pagebar link based on security settings)?
Also, I have found that the Related Information link is only displayed if the Customize Page link is also available on the pagebar. Is there any logical reason for this, or is it a bug?

Excel 2013 - disable "scale content for a4 or 8.5 x11" paper sizes" deploy via group policy

In office 2010 and 2013, the option "scale content for a4 or 8.5 x11" paper sizes" is enabled by default in word and excel.
I need to be disable this option on all machines, since it conflicts with our printers and doesn't allow us to print.
Ideally this should be done by group policy as our users change very frequently.
I have found the policy to disable this option in word, but can't find a similar policy setting for excel.
Any idea how I can resolve this?

Create the below given registry key using GPP for Excel and apply that to the ou or security group to disable or enable the check mark.

OK...I got chewed (by someone I have a lot of respect for) for pounding on an old thread, so I'm starting a new one. I've got the Windows 7 Value Pack Plugin for SBS 2011 Essentials and Folder Redirection is working for everybody. What I'm looking for is
exactly how to go into Group Policy and disable the FD for a single user. I'm not looking for quick, incomplete answers. If you don't have time to give me the 'For Dummies' version, don't bother. Sorry, but I've done all the Googling I can stand for one day
and I'm over it! (and a little grumpy)

Here's what I'd do.
1) create a Security Group in your AD environment. Call it 'Folder Redirection Members' or something like that. Put all the user accounts in your AD environment who you want to have their folders continue to be redirected to the server, do not include the
one user who you wish to exclude. in other words, you're going to use a specific security group to target the Folder Redirection policy (right now, it's Domain Users, which is everyone).
2) Edit the Group Policy that the W7PP created in your AD environment. It's likely called "W7PVP Folder Redirection". Start with verification under the Settings tab, expand Folder Redirection beneath User Configuration states that
Policy Removal Behaviouris set to Restore Contents. Then proceed using the Editor, to make adjustments under the Scope tab; verify membership in Security Filtering. Remove Domain Users,
add in Folder Redirection Members (or whatever you named your group in step 1).
3) on your workstation that your user you are applying the change to disable folder redirection, Log on to the domain account while connected to your network, elevate a command prompt, and perform a 'gpupdate /force' command and then reboot your computer.
Folder redirection configuration should be removed from the system and redirected contents should be restored back to your local path. Verify with inspection of the My Documents or other folders.

I believe there is a PDF doc which comes with the component (it should be at your harddrive when you install it), which describes everything you will need.
In a nutshell, there are two types of relationship: sibling - sibling, parent - child (there are some more nuances, but it follows the same logic).
A relationship is created between two existing items (not sure, if you can also create a relationship for a new checked in item, but it would be just a usability). You select the type of relationship and the item - I believe depending on the relationship you may start from either item. The dialog to start is INFO (display metadata) or UPDATE (update metadata).
When a relationship is created you may watch it also from either end (again INFO is the starting point).
It is quite self-explanatory, so if you have the component installed you may just play around with it for a while and that is it.

Can it be possible to disable outlook anywhere for some few users who are working from home ?

One of my customer wants to disable outlook anywhere for some of the users who are working from home.They have exchange server 2013 in their premises and also have outlook 2010/2013 on their clients machine.Please advice?

In Exchange 2013, all Outlook connectivity (Internal and External) are using Outlook Anywhere anyways. It is not recommended to use the following command to disable Outlook Anywhere for a specific user:
Set-CASMailbox UserA -MAPIBlockOutlookRpcHttp $True
If you disable it, the UserA would not be able to access the mailbox from both Internal Outlook client (Office) and external Outlook client (Home).
For your requirement about disable Outlook anywhere for some few users instead of all external users, there seems to be no method to achieve it directly in Exchange server. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Disable Drill Down For Groups only except SubReport

Where are the subreports located? You mention you have 10 subreports and also 5 group sections. Are the subreports located in the page or report header/footer sections? Are there detail records in the groups? If not, then you don't need to supress drill-down, there is nothing to drill to. If there is, suppress the detail section. If a user drills on the groups, there will be no detailed information visible.
Typically, if you have multiple groups and want to supress drill-down but still display the first group, you can use the 'drilldowngrouplevel >1' statement in the section expert to conditionally suppress the group. Right click the group, select 'Section expert', and click the formula button (the button with the 'X-2' and a little pencil)Â next toÂ 'Suppress (No Drill-Down)Â Then, enter drilldowngrouplevel >1. This should do the trick if you have your report structured this way. If not, please provide a little more detail.

How to disable Transactional Iview for a particular user in portal

I have a scenario
i have created a user group for all the employees and assigned all the transactional roles to it, now the issue is they wanted to disable the Transactional Iview to particular user for a certain period and enable it later on, how is it possible?
As per my knowledge we have to assign that particular Role individually to all the user, instead of user group and make the iview invisible when required.
Instead of this is there any other Easy Method that i can approach the issue easily?

Hi Siva,
You can have two types of groups: one Group with users having access to transactional iview and another devoid of this access.
You can assign users to group with transactional role and vice versa. By the way of user groups, we will have more control over the transaction role access.

Possible to delete Offline Files content for a specific user from the Client Side Cache (CSC) ?.

Hello Everyone,
We would like to implement a script to delete the offline files in the Client Side Cache (CSC) for a nominated user (on Windows 7 x64 enterprise).
I am aware that;
1. We can use a registry value to flush the entire CNC cache (for all users) next time the machine reboots.
2. If we delete the user's local profile it appears that Windows 7 also removes their content from the local CSC.
However, we would like to just delete the CSC content for a particular nominated user without having to delete their local user profile.
In our environment we have many users that share workstations but only use them occasionally. We don't use roaming profile so we would like to retain all the users' local profiles but still delete the CSC content for any users that haven't
logged on in a week.
Any ideas or info would be appreciated !

How to make a disclamer for groups of users

I have a client with a specific requeriment:
He need make one specific disclaimer for a group of users (corporative accounts). I know how to make this to all users (configuration of smtp_in and smtp_out process), but I dont know how to make this for some specific users :(.

Yeah, and that design of OSX has been around a decade now. It is just plain selfishness on the part of the developers to make it as hard as possible for multiple users on one computer to use software. I guess they think it helps prevent piracy, but it only seems to alienate customers and promote their own selfishness. Last time I checked I thought people are given licenses based on one computer at a time. 500 people cannot use one computer at a time, so why does it matter if other users have access to the same software. The point is it is all so pointless.

This is done in the "permissions"of the dashboard. You have to set it for each dashboard if the user some create dashboard rights.

LC Rights Management End User can not find groups or users during policy creation process

I'm using LC8.0.1 turnkey install on win2003 box.
Problem is LC Rights Management End User can not find groups or users (search result is empty) during policy creation process, thus can not apply specific restriction to certain groups or users.
I have create a user in the DefaultDom and assigned the following roles:
Live Cycle Rights Management Invite User
Live Cycle Rights Management End User
How can I allow the above created user to search for groups and user during policy creation? Thanks.

How To Disable DLU Policy For A Group Of Users

We are running Zenworks 7.x on Novell netware 6.5 sp8. I have my User package existing within the Context where the user accounts exist. Also the User Package is associated to that user Context. I have a need to deny a specific group of users access to the DLU Policy of the User Package. However I will need the users to have access to all other Policy packages withing the same User Package (ie, iprint policy, remote control policy, etc).
Is it possible to deny a group of users access to the DLU policy but not the other Policies within the Associated user package?

Take a copy of your existing User package, disable DLU in this new package and assign it to these specific users that you don't want DLU to apply.

It is worth checking the actual size of the shared pool e.g.
select pool,sum(bytes)/1024/1024/1024 from v$sgastat group by pool;
the parameters you ahve posted suggest you have set a minimum but no maximum, so it could very large.
Next up is looking for unhared SQL i.e.
select column1 from some_table where column2='A_VALUE';
select column1 from some_table where column2='Another_Value';
where the code should be using binds instead of literals for security and performance reasons, a simple way to find this is to look in v$sql for sql having the same plan_hash_value but different sql_Ids and compare the sql_fulltext of each statement.
Also a possibility is sql with many child cursors, this is trickier as the cause may vary and may not be easy to fix. check th econtents of v$sql for sql that have high values in the child_number column anmd investigate the contents of v$sql_shared_cursor for the reason there are multiple child cursors.
