Disabling save message when leaving a database data block

Hi all,
im using Forms 6i
I have two data blocks that are database blocks, then the user opens an excel file and a function starts filling the forms with data obtained form the file.
If i only fill one block there is no problem, but if i start filling the two when i leave one block with go_block it asks me to save the changes.... is it possible to disable that message and then when the procedure finish filling the two blocks the user can commit changues with F10?

Try first to buy iPhoto with your AppleID instead of updating. Delete iPhoto from Applications, but don't empty the Trash, then go to the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto. If you are lucky, it will show as free and you can buy it directly.
If iPhoto is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support: Ask for a redemption code. You will need to provide a prove of purchase for your mac with iPhoto preinstalled.

How could you even know if you have a message if the email account isn't responding?
Quit the mail app and reboot your iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the mail icon. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Nope, that doesn't actually do the trick. It might keep i messages from going to your i phone but still won't allow them to go to your new device.

Using a second table in a Database Data Block ??

In a Form, I have a Data Block which is a Database Data Block. The Items are associated with columns in a table.
I want the items in this repeating block to show in a different order. To do this, I need to use a second table and say where table1.key = table2.key ....
I keep getting problems at runtime with
ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined
I tried to qualify everywhere a column name is used. When I do show error it shows
SELECT ROWID, ....
And then the "column ambiguously defined".
I do not have an item in my Form for ROWID. Maybe it is automatic. (This form DOES do update).
Is it possible to use two tables in a Data Block like this?

If you only need to order the records in the block, why not defining the "ORDER BY" clause in the block's property??
Set the "ORDER BY" clause at design time from the property palette of the block or runtime with column of your choice.
at runtime your can use:
SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('your_block', ORDER_BY, 'your_column');If you need to join to tables in one block read the [Block Based on Join|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/BlockOnAJoin.pdf] Documentation.

How to insert multiple data to non database data block?

Hi all,
I'm new in using form builder. I have a question about insert multiple data to non database data block.
I want to upload a csv file that content the attendance transaction of all of employees. If the employee in that
file doesn't exist in that company,so I must record the employee number into non database data block.
If I just upload one employee data, I can record it to that data block. But, if more than one, it didn't works.
May you help me?

you might need a NEXT_RECORD or CREATE_RECORD to go to the next reord in that block. It would be easier to help if we knew your code.

How to promt user to save changes when changing non-database fields?

I have a form with two tabs. The datablock Block_1 on tab_2 is based on a database view. But all the displayed items of Block_1 are non-database items. Whenever a user changes some items in Block_1 and presses save button, the values from non_db items get copied to the db_items (based on view) and commit_form is called. This works fine.
But the problem here is: after changing some items in block_1, if the user navigates to some other option/form from the menu , the form doesnt promt the user to 'save the changes' and all the changes made are lost. How can I fix that?

Two rows instead of one in the database when form with 2 data blocks.

I have created a form having 2 data blocks
data block one to populate table A
data block two to populate table B .
now when i save the data after pressing the save option ....i find 2 records instead of one in the database table A and Table B.
it should have been just one per table ....can some one suggest pls

I will explain my scenerio.....
I have 2 data blocks one-below the other in the form
accessing 2 different tables....
now on the canvas of this form I have added a
button....and on that button i have written a trigger
'when-button-pressed' Trigger....
it takes the data from the various text_items of the
form and inserts them into their corrosponding
tables....and I have added 'COMMIT' at the end this
trigger
so when I press this button ....the data 2 records
get inserted into the 2 tables instead of one each..

Program crashes without error message when opening a database

One of our users is experiencing an issue with Discoverer Desktop whereby the program crashes with no error message when he attempts to open a database from a local or network drive. If he logs in to Windows as himself, and runs Discoverer as himself, the program crashes under any Discoverer login; if I log in to Windows using an admin account, and run the program under the same context, the same issue occurs; however, if I log in to Windows as the user and run the program under the context of admin, the error does not occur under any Discoverer login.
I've tried removing and reinstalling the program but this has not alleviated the issue. The program version is 10.1.2.55 running on Windows XP SP3. If there are any other relevant details required to diagnose the issue I will gladly provide them. Could someone please help me resolve this?

Has this ever worked ? Pl see if MOS Doc 197716.1 (Running Discoverer Desktop on Windows 2000 Or Later Releases As a Restricted User Fails With "Failed to update the system registry. Please try using REGEDIT.") can help.
One option might be to install Process Monitor (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx) to identify the cause of the issue.

This can be achieved if you are ready to do some coding...
U need to use implement BADI ORDER_SAVE..
Within this BADI u can have your business validations done...
If the Validations fails then you have to raise an exception DO_NOT_SAVE...
This is satisfy your requirment.....

FRM-92101 when scrolling through a data block on a form

Folks,
We recently converted a Forms 6i application to Forms 10g (re-compiled, little changes were requested). Running against an Oracle 10g database (10.1.2.3) on a Solaris server.
When users scroll through the data block on a canavas after about 2 or 3 screens t hy get the wonderful error message FRM-92101, talking about an error in the Forms Server at startup... (Kinda silly since it is AFTER the Form has started running, but beyond the point).
I have tried adjusting the # of rows buffered for datablock (started out at 0, changed to 25, 50, 100) and rows to display at once to 1, 10, 16 and we still keep getting this error.
Can anybody suggest an solution or point me in the right direction to solve this issue?

Relation between non-database data blocks?

Hi all,
I'm using Oracle Forms Builder 10GR2. I have two data blocks and i want to create a relation between them. They aren't database blocks and when i tried to create a relation between them based on a join condition/joining 2 display items/ i received the error :
FRM-15004: Error while parsing join condition.Any ideas?

How to disable 'Save' button when OAF and XML Publisher integrated...URGENT

Hi,
I am new to the OA Framework and XML publisher. I have been working on a requirement where I am designing a new page in Manager Self Service with few fields and a submit button. Also designed a RTF template in XML publisher to display the output in PDF format.
When the details are entered on the page and click on 'Submit' button, the PDF will Open with the data populated. This is working perfectly... thanks to the forum.
But my issue is: When the submit button is clicked, it displayes a dialog box with Open/Save/Cancel options and if I click the 'Open', the PDF will be opened. But my client is a retail client and they don't want store managers to save this PDF so either I have to skip this dialog box and directly open the PDF or I have to disable the 'Save' on the dialog box.
Gurus -- Please help me how to achieve this. This is very urgent

But do you want me to try ControllerContext.getInstance().getCurrentViewPort().isDataDirty(); in button disable property?
I have written one method in my am like
public boolean isTransactionDirty(){
return getDBTransaction.isDity();
and exposed that method to client side and i try to use this method in my button disable property as
disable#{bindings.isTransactionDirty.execute} but this is not working.
