    Unfortunately the Time Capsule is missing the circuitry that the AirPort Express has that processes the AirTunes stream to get it out to your amp. So, whether the Time Capsule or your iMac is hosting the iTunes Library, in order for your amp to be able to use it, you will need the Express.

  • Button LOV time limited

    I have a button based on an LOV. When user clicks on button, lov prompts for department code and runs a report.
    When the report finishes it automatically disables the entry so it cant be run again.
    I want this to be time limited to that after 24 hours the button will have all values again.
    Any clues?

    Call a javascript after 24 hours and set your value through a page process afterwards reset your page.
    Add this kind of code inside your HTML Header:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function fnc_flushValues() {
    // set application value
       var get = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=dummy',0);
       get.add('P1_ITEM',v_id)
       $x('P1_ITEM').value = v_id;
       gReturn = get.get();
       get = null;
    // reload page
       doSubmit('NOW');
    // start function the first time after 24 hours
    window.setTimeout(fnc_flushValues, 86400000);
    </script>Tobias

  • Disabling slide shows

    Hi all,
    Is there a way to disable slide shows in iPhoto '09. I ask as I never EVER use this feature. But whenever I'm using iPhoto while running iTunes or Quicktime I always seem to accidentally start a slideshow when trying to pause/play my music or movies. This hangs iPhoto while it thinks about what it needs to do and is very frustrating.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Yes, this nonsensical media key conflict in all versions of iPhoto I've used has driven me crazy for a long time.
    The best compromise I have come up with is to switch iTunes to Mini Player view (click the green + button on the iTunes Window, select Mini Player from the View Menu, or press Command-Shift-M) and under iTunes>Preferences...>Advanced, select Keep Mini Player on Top of All Other Windows.  At least then you can be in iPhoto and easily mouse-click the play/pause and other iTunes control keys without having to switch windows around.  Thy only problem is that the Mini Player will not be visible if you are in fulll screen mode in iPhoto.

  • I am trying to setup time limits in airport 5.6

    I am trying to setup time limits for internet usage in airport 5.6—
    but i don't get a timed access control "option. Tried on both imac and macbook pro.

    What are you setting it up as.. join wireless network .. the very worst setup, it will disappear.. reboot the whole network in order modem. router TC.. clients and it will likely reappear.
    Tell us what network setup you are using..
    If you setup with cable to a computer completely isolated from the network with TC also isolated.. finish the setup of everything you want. .before update.. then plug it into the network. .then restart everything in correct order.. it will work most of the time.

  • Time limitation of the questionnaire

    Dear Helpdesk!
    I'm a satisfied Forms Central user since Aug. 2013. I created and used few questionnaires, and now I’m creating a new one. Now I have a problem. I would like to use this questionnaire as a test and I should use a time limitation. I mean when the responder open the Link which shows him/her the questionnaire, it would be nice a timer which shows him/her the remaining time of the filling of the questionnaire. If a responder run out his/her time limitation the questionnaire will closed for him/her. Can I set this function somehow in Forms Central?
    Thanks in advance for your answer. VBRGDS: Zoltán Gábriel ([email protected])

    Hi;
    FormsCentral does not have any support for this type of a timer.
    I think you could accomplish this by embedding the FormsCentral form into your own web site into a page where you implement a countdown timer.  There is "Embed code" on the Distribute tab of the form to use for embedding into your own web page.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • How do to set up time limits on a guest network

    I have a new generation Airport Time Capsule and I have set up a Guest Network for my kids but I would like to set up time limits on the Guest Network also, is there a way to do it?

    It is not possible to set up specific time limits for the Guest Network as a whole, but it is possible to set up individual time limits for each device that will be connecting to the Guest Network.....and, also the main network for that matter.
    If you can provide us with some more specifics on what you are trying to accomplish, how many devices will be involved, etc.......that will help us craft our answer to provide accurate information.
    Meanwhile, if you want to take a look at the general settings in Timed Access....
    Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
    Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit
    Click the Network tab at the top of the screen
    Enter a check mark in the box next to Enable Timed Access
    Click on the Timed Access button
    Click Cancel to avoid making any changes to your current setup

  • Is there a way to Disable the Framerate Limiter in GTA Games on iOS?

    On the PC version, you can enable or disable the framerate limiter.
    When it's turned on, you get 30fps.
    When it's off, you get well over 60fps depending on how powerful your PC is.
    To keep it at 60fps, you just turn off the frame limiter and turn on Vsync in the Nvidia Control Panel.
    Perfect.
    Anyways, I wanted to ask if there's a way to do this for GTA games on iOS? That way we can get 60fps and make the game better overall.
    I'd love to see a 60fps game on my iPhone 5s.
    I do not care if 60fps will make the battery drain quicker.
    Any help & discussion will be appreciated!

    Ask the game developer.  You're on the iPhone Hardware forum.

  • How to record a time-limited video with Adobe AIR for iOS

    I am trying to record a time-limited video with Adobe AIR for iOS.
    For example, I want to implement the following function. Start a one-minute timer before launching CameraUI to record video. When the timeout event happens after one minute, stop recording video, close the CameraUI view and obtain the video data so far.
      I have several questions related to that.
      1. How to stop recording video from outside the CameraUI view(in this case, from the timeout event handler) and then close the CemeraUI view? As far as I know, to close the CameraUI view, the only way is to press the [Use Video] button or the [Cancel] button from inside the CameraUI view. Is it possible to close it from outside?
      2. Even if the first problem mentioned above is solved, then how can I get the video data so far(in this case, the video data before the timeout). I know that normally we can get a MediaPromise object from MediaEvent parameter of the  complete handler, and read the video data from the MediaPromise object. But obviously in this case, we can not access the MediaPromise object just because the complete handler itself will not be executed since the [Use Video] button is not pressed.
      3. Is it possible to add a stopwatch to show possible remaining recording time when CameraUI view is open? It seems that the CameraUI automatically uses the full screen of iOS device(in my case, iPad) and there is no extra space to show the stopwatch.
      Are there any solutions or workarounds about the three problem above? I really appreciate it if anyone has any idea about this. Thanks in advance.

    You'd have more control by using the Camera object, showing the camera on a video object inside a Sprite, and capturing that. Then you could put whatever graphics alongside it on the stage.. I've used FlashyWrappers in a test to capture the video to the library.  It took some work, but the test worked well...

  • I just bought a docking station for my iPad so I could plug into a mixing board and record a live show.  I was disappointed at the time limitation for the recordings.  What is the maximum amount you can record a song into GB for the iPad?

    I purchased a docking station for my iPad so that I could record a live recording of my band directly from a mixing board this weekend using GarageBand.  Unfortunately, I was unaware of the song length limitations of the iPad version of this program.  Basically, was unable to capture more than 15 minutes of the gig.  I've read other conversations on this forum and can't really determine the maximum amount of time this application can record.  Can anyone tell me how long GarageBand for ipad can record at one single time and how to adjust the settings to achieve this?  Also, is anyone aware of any other apps than could be used to record a longer please share.  Thanks.
    CP

    I received an email reply from George, the Founder and CEO of Studiomini, he indicated to me that their app does not have any time limitations in regards to recording like GB does, you are only limited by the amount of free space on your iPad.  Fo what it's worth, I think the Alesis IO Dock is an amazing piece of equipment.  I would highly recommend purchasing the IO Dock and plugging your mixing board into the dock to capture your rehearsal.  Hopefully the feedback I received from Studiomini is accurate and I can capture my entire rehearsal at one time.  I hope this feedback helps.  One last note, apparently their will be a update soon to view Studiomni in the landscape view on the iPad instead of just the portrait view.

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • Create time-limited license for my application

    Hi,
    I have created an application for my client, but i would like to add in a function below into my software for license renew.
    For example, after the application is used in a PC for one year, it will be locked and will ask user to renew the license, to activate the application again.
    Is there anyway can create the time-limited license for my application?
    My application is developed by LV 8.5.1.
    I am appreciated for your feedback.
    Thanks.

    The Third Party Licensing & Activation Toolkit will do what you want, but you need LabVIEW 2010 or later.
    There was even a NI-Week presentation: NIWeek Session: Creating a Software Evaluation for your Product in 10 minutes
    Still, I agree with Norbert that an expiring licens is a very dumb idea. What if you go out of business? What if you are on vacation while their license expires? What is the system is on a space flight to Mars?
    I would never install software that expires, because if it cannot be guaranteed that it will run a year from now I might as well not use it at all.  If NI would do the same, your LabVIEW 8.5 would have stopped working long ago.
    If you want to ensure that users upgrade to a new version, make sure to add new and exciting features. Offer service subscriptions, etc.

  • The time limits on the parental controls do not work. Apple does not seem to know how to fix this issue since the problem has been going on since at least leopard.

    The time limits in the parental controls do not work. I have several mac systems and they do not work on all of them. Also, I have had this problem since at least snow leopard and it is very frustrating that Apple is unable to fix a simple issue like this. All they have to do is somehow 'hard-wire' the time limits to the system clock but they are not listening. I used the feed-back feature in their support webpage and hopefully everybody else experiencing this issue will too. Thus, if they get a thousand notes on this issue they might listen and finally fix it.

    Well, the whole system with those time limits are funky. Sometime this happens, sometime that happens. When the user is on the bed time limits do not work nor do the length of time limits. It is very frustrating as one of the reasons I bought an apple in the first place was those parental controls which did not exist in Windows prior to Windows 7. I do have a Windows 7 machine now and the bed time limits work there. Maybe you have a Windows 7 machine as well and can let them use it.

  • Time limits for time capsule access

    I want to set time limits for individual devices on my Time Capsule network. How do I set this up??

    You will need a hardware address for each wireless device that you want to be able to control. If you do not have the device listed, it will have "default" access to the wireless network, which means that it will have unlimited access at all times.
    If you are having difficulty finding a hardware address for a given device, turn off all the wireless devices that will connect to the network except your Mac. You know the hardware address of your Mac already, correct?
    Turn on one other wireless device and look for the info about that device. Then turn on the next device to get info about that device. You may not see a device name and instead see something like 10.0.1.x for the device name. Click on the 10.0.1.x display to reveal more information about the device, including the hardware address.
    You can set up rules for each device on either the Time Capsule or the AirPort Extreme and the settings will automatically be transferred to the "other" device, so you only have to enter the rules on one device.
    Open Airport Utility again and click on the Time Capsule if that is your "main" base station or router. Otherwise click on the AirPort Extreme if that is the main base station.
    Click Edit
    Click the Network tab at the top of the window
    Look toward the bottom of the next window and make sure that there is a check mark next to Enable Access Control. Later, you will need to make sure that the other router you have is also enabled.
    Click on Timed Access Control
    Here you will see the "default' rule for the network of Unlimited Access. This means that any device that has not been assigned a specific rule will be able to connect to the network at any time. Leave this rule alone.
    Click on the + (plus) button at the bottom of the Wireless Clients box
    Type in a device name next to Description.....example.....iPad
    Type in the hardware address of the device next to MAC Address
    You probably want to have the rule in effect Everyday, so leave that box the same. If you click on the box, you will see that you are able to have the rule in effect with a number of other options.
    Click on the All Day box and change that to Between
    Double click on each time display to edit the start time and end time for the device each day. For example, the device might be able to connect Everyday, Between 9 AM and 10 PM. It is possible to have multiple rules for the same device by clicking the + button in this area to add another time slot.
    Click Save
    Click Timed Access Control again and repeat the process for the next device, etc until entries for all wireless devices that you want to control are complete
    Click Update to save all of the settings and the Time Capsule will restart in 30 seconds.
    Be sure to enter a check mark on the other router that you have to Enable Timed Access and Update to save the setting.  This will transfer the stored settings from the Time Capsule to the AirPort Extreme or vice versa.
    Good luck.
