  • How to disable switch control when your Siri doesn't work.

There's alot of people who managed to turn their switch control off by Siri or by triple click. How ever I disabled my Siri and was stuck at lock screen with no screen feedback. Went thru alot of online remedys and all didn't work. I'm sure there are a few who had this problem. So what I did was -
i hold home and power button to off my i pad. Then turn it on again. (When it just loaded to main screen you will have a few sec before switch control works again. )So when you are in main screen , triple click  to get the accessibility box and off switch control. By tapping on the option. It worked for me. Hope it works for you. The Internet don't have much to help ref switch control which is irritating. Hope this post helps.

I am so sorry for sending the same thread for so many times, there is a problem with my brower.

  • I am trying to enable switch control on my iPad air but it is in disable state it's not allowing me to enable could you please provide me the solution

I Want to setup switch control on my iPad i am trying the same but it is disabled please help me out how do I enable switch control.

Try to narrow this down further, do you use restrictions at all? I don't think that there is anything in the restrictions setting that would disable Switch Control, but I don't use restrictions. From my limited experince with the restrictions settings, the only thing that I can think of that might be making the setting greyed out would be Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts. But I really don't think that has anything to do with this.
SInce this is a brand new iPad, try basics. Reset the iPad first. If that doesn't work, reset all settings, you will not lose any data in eituer case, but if you reset all settings, you will have to re-enter all device settings again. Resetting all settings will also restart the iPad so don't be alarmed when that happens.
First, try resetting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that didn't work, try this. Reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.

  • Switch control option itself is disabled such that I can't able to switch it on or off in my iphone 6 ??

Switch control option itself is disabled such that I can't able to switch it on or off in my iphone 6 plus ?

Your only bet would be checking with your carrier to see if they have a trade-in program. They will usually evaluate the phone for any damage and therefore an iPhone with a chip in the back most likely won't get much of a trade-in value.

  • Disabling Mission Control on 2nd Display

I am using an iMac with 2nd display configured for video output, so that what the software (ProPresenter, in this instance - could equally apply to Keynote or PowerPoint, for example) is showing on the 2nd display goes to our video switcher and projector screens while our main display shows the software user interface.
The problem is that when I trigger Mission Control or use a hotkey to clear the desktop, it does the same thing to the 2nd display. Is there a way to disable this so that the picture on the 2nd display stays in place (whether natively in Lion or through use of 3rd party tools)? It's extremely unprofessional, and I've had my operators accidentally use Mission Control when the output is live on our switcher - looks really goofy. I suppose I could simply disable Mission Control hot keys, but why waste such a valuable productivity feature?
    Thanks... Mike B.

  • Problem disabling Parental Control

    Hi!
I have had problems with Firefox since I installed Leopard, and now I've pinpointed it to Parental Control. On a freshly created account, there is no problem. If I turn on Parental Control (I switched it on, and disabled changes in the Dock and limited the web access) and then change it back (i.e. allowing changes in the Dock and unlimited web access - there is no general overall "disable Parental Control" as far as I can see), some Web sites does not display, I get "411 Length required" error.
I found a bug filed on Firefox (in Bugzilla), but I don't know if the problem is in Firefox (my bet is on Leopard, but that's just a guess).
The same web pages work on Firefox 3 beta.
One (Swedish) example is hemnet.se - enter e.g. "Stockholm" in the "Snabbsök" quick search text box. I get the 411 on that.
Anyway, I've tried deleting lots of preference stuff, listing files before and after the Parental Control thing trying to locate the problem - but I just cannot make it go away.
Any clues on how to kill it?

Hi Everyone. As a relatively new MAC user and the only person to use my MAC, I am the administrator and when I set up my computer, being a 48 year old without children around the house, did not need or wish to have parental controls enabled and wouldn't have checked any restrictions, (The check box in 'Accounts' is unchecked). However, in iTunes, in the parental settings of preferences for the iTunes store, the restrict movies box is ticked & set to 12 and the restrict TV programmes marked caution box is ticked too. I do not wish to be restricted on anything and everytime I try to change them they have reverted back the next time I look??? Why is this please ... and how do I change it, is it a separate setting to the 'Accounts' setting, I am baffled, or have I missed something?
    Thank you.

  • Lowlevel video output switch controls? Modulized, why?

    Hi
Well, i use Arch on my laptop. And there is one thing, which makes me wanna jump on it. The Lowlevel video output switch controls kernel module. I need this activated in order to switch between the projector and my laptop, I have my finals soon so its important this works as it should.
Would it be possible to enable this module in later pacman-versions of the kernel? At the time beeing, I would have to recompile everything my self. Which I have yet to become successful at, something is always wrong. But I`ll summarize what I would like to do:
#Build a kernel with this option, choosing it from grub at boot-time. But still have the "pacman-version" in case i mess up somethings up.
NOTE I use luksEncrypted root, does this option do anything to the kernel? Since the installer asks if you need to boot from an encrypted volume. Just asking...
Anyway, can I just download the kernel source. Run make menuconfig, activate the Low level video output switch controls. Then -> make modules_install? And then copy the kernel-version over to boot, and use it? Or what else?
Thank you so much for helping, took me ages discovering this feature was disabled on purpose.

sveinemann wrote:Nice, any idea when it`ll be in core? I cant risk having an unstable kernel, this is my work laptop <3
Not before next weekend. My best guess is next Wednesday or later.

  • Device Controls in Final Cut Express-how to disable device control??

How do I disable device control on a 3ccd panasonic mini dv camcorder using final cut express. It is very simple on final cut pro, but for some reason I cannot figure it out on final cut express. Do I need to do something with the camera itself first?

Switch to the DV Converter option?

  • "always on top" in fullscreen mode; disable switching away

    Hi,
I am trying to write a mode for emacs that will keep out as many distractions as possible.  When activated, I can't switch away from the file I'm working on.
Unfortunately, I can *easily* switch away from my fullscreen Emacs to my webbrowser or email program, and Gnome notifications appear on my screen on top of the Emacs window.
Is there a way for me to push a fullscreen Emacs window (what Emacs users call a frame) to the top of the windowing stack and DISABLE SWITCHING AWAY FROM IT, while also stopping other windows from poppint above it in the stack?  I'm using Gnome right now, so something gnome-specific would be great, as would any generic solution for X.  There is an "always on top" option for windows in gnome (I am using the default window manager, whatever it is now -- metacity?  compiz? I don't even know anymore!), but it is disabled for fullscreen windows.  that makes sense, normally, but I would like to suspend some of the computer's functionality when I'm writing.
Also:  perhaps this deserves its own thread, but it would be nice if notification windows didn't overlay themselves on top of the window that I make this way.
    Thank you!
    Matt

    Hi,
You say you're using gnome so the default window manager for that would be mutter. The gnome notifications can be turned off from
    gnome-control-center
I don't know if that's an acceptable solution for you. As for disabling switching to other windows, I've had look in
    dconf-editor
org --> gnome --> desktop --> wm --> preferences but I don't think I can much that's relevant there. Would disabling raise-on-click deliver the desired behaviour? Otherwise, you could try seeing whether there is an extension at https://extensions.gnome.org/.
Hope you find what you're looking for

Just try a general reset then - hold the on/off/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.  Then let it restart and see if that changes anything.

How to remove switch control function on my ipad

If you mean the side switch, I don't think it can be totally disabled...you can set it's function to either control screen rotation or sound mute/unmute:
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Lock Rotation or Mute
