Disabling Syncing in Itunes really messes up AppleTV - Need help
In an attempt to temporarily turn off syncing between my Apple TV and iTunes, I right clicked my Apple TV in my itunes and chose disable Syncing. BIG MISTAKE!
Not only did it remove all my content from my Apple TV, but it completely severed the link. I went back to my A-TV and attempted to connect to my iTunes again. It gave me the code to enter in, but in iTunes I could no longer see my Apple TV. Nothing appeared in the devices section & I had "Search for A-TVs" enabled.
I'm not sure what I did to finally get it back, but now it only syncs my personal content that I manually put in my iTunes Library. My apple TV will not select any content bought from the iTunes store. The error triangle next to my apple TV in iTunes indicates that my apple TV cannot connect to the itunes store to validate the content, even though I have properly configured my username and password in Apple TV.

Yes, using the menu item "Store -> Authorize Computer" did the trick.
The Actual steps first involved disconnecting from itunes first on my apple TV. Then "Store -> Authorize Computer ...", then reconnecting to iTunes on my apple TV, entering the new code in my iTunes, and voila!
Now I just have to wait for it to resync.

Check your iTunes prefs to see it it is set to look for appletv's
If iTunes cant see the internet or your girlfriends itunes it may be a firewall issue -
I have just bought an iPhone 5 and it won't sync to iTunes. It says it needs iTunes 10.7, which I have downloaded and installed. I still get the error message and looking at "about iTunes" it says 10.6.3. What do I do??

Thank you for the answers so far, but I'll make one correction: I said earlier that the Boston Globe website, boston.com, does not have a mobile site, and I would need to visit their regular website on my iPhone. Actually, I just found out that boston.com has a mobile site, so I'd obviously use that instead of the regular site. By doing that, I'd save a ton of data (I think). Does that change your answers?

Hello everyone,
I am having the users download iTunes and install.
We are using an in house distribution application.
The device works fine when the distribution certificate has been removed, but once the device connects to iTunes, the applications fail to run. They simply flash and the device returns to the normal icon screen.
Does anyone have a way to disable the syncing of itunes??

I'm not sure what you mean by "iTunes is not enabled" -- if you read the above link, the question is whether you've previously synced with the iTunes application on a computer. If you have, you connect to iTunes on that computer. If not, you follow the "Use Recovery Mode" procedure near the bottom of http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212

Itunes is bult into the iphones operating system. You do not download itunes at all on your iphone. -

ITunes is not fixing itself need help
I cannot use iTunes on my PC using windows vista home, I cannot remove it or try to do another install. I cannot reinstall using the disk or updates to install, remove, or repair it:
Whenever I install via the download from Apple.com, the install stops midway and gives me an error message saying “There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete this installation”.
Now when I click on my iTunes icon it says it’s configuring iTunes, and stops and says it could not write to key “\Software\Classes\.m4v” so I have no way of opening it again. And before all this happened I connected my iPod and all the songs got erased off of it.
Quicktime has been uninstalled on my computer, but only iTunes is stuck here.
Please help!!!ok i got my iTunes back by giving myself access to all the software reg keys and clicking thru all the messages... but now my ipod won't show up on my computer or itunes... help pleaaaaaseee!!!
