Disabling "User Details window" when adding modifiedby to LAyout

I am very new to the KM layout tools, So I appreciate any basic information you can share.
I have copied the SimpleExplorer Layout set and I am in the process of Layout customization.
I want only the DocumentName, Modified Date and Modified By to appear. I have taken out most actions: settings, goto... etc.
I have been able to get this done,
The problem is:
When I include the "ModifiedBy" to the Displayed Properties of the Collection List Renderer Settings the ModifiedBy field appears but allows a user to Click on it,
when Clicked a new window opens with "Users Details".
The Users Details Window has the following options and we do not need/want this functionality.
Send E-mail... Create Appointment...
Show Availability Send Instant Message...
How do I include the ModifiedBy field for display and sorting but deactivate the Link to the new window "Users Details"

I just came accross the solution below given by you in another thread.Is this the one I need to do?
And one more question.I see the "Send Instant message","Create Appointment" and "Show Availability" in the "UserDetailsGroup"
So is it enough if I remove these 3 command properties from the "UserDetailsGroup"?
I am using the DiscussionGroupsContributor layoutset.
BP's SOLUTION:
Business Card Pop Up Customization (Removing the standard collaboration options)
Changing the default options available in the Business card Popup, We need to go to
System Administration->System Configuration->Collaboration->Properties->Command Groups.
Now edit the three groups which are:
1. clpGroup
2. UserDetailsGroup
3. UserGroup
Note:
The above actions require the server to be restarted to make the changes to be effected

Master detail refresh when adding new record

Guys,
Can't believe I need to ask this question ....but here we go
when adding new master record --> I want to refresh the detail record..... in my case old detail records stays as it is until i click the save button
for detail panelformlayout-->partial trigger--> i set the ids of master panelformlayout and newMasterrecord button..... but still it doesn't refresh the child record when new master record is being created.....
any thought will be greatly appreciated

In application module it works fine......
Even on the page when i click next/previous button on masters it refreshes details information.
but when i click the button "create" it doesn't refreshes details...... (but when i save the information, i certainly see the updated details)
seems like there is some settings or binding i need to check but can't able to find one.....

Gmail in firefox won't open file selection window when adding attachments, no errors, just nothing. Chrome works fine on same computer. Firefox is up to date

when attempting to attach files to a message using gmail there is no response. i click the paperclip icon and no windows open, no errors show, it just sits there? I can attach to messages as expected using Chrome & gmail on the same computer.
I have shut down and restarted the computer with no change. I have current firefox [v31] and the machine is a dell desktop running Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2 build 6002.

Open Menu
Options
Content (on the top)
Click Exceptions...
Type mail.google.com in address of website area
Click Allow
Try to open attachment window now.
Restart FireFox and try adding attachment again.

[Gnome 3.10] Evolution empty dialog window when adding attachment

When I try to add an attachment in Evolution using the 'add attachment' button in the composer window, the left pane of the dialog window is empty. I'm wondering if this is a bug in Evolution since I haven't come accross this issue in other apps.

Where do 9i Lite user details reside when used with 9iAS?

Hi there,
Please can someone clarify the following for me. I understand that when using the 9i Lite Mobile Server in standalone mode, all the user definitions live in the mobile server repository schema.
I'm wondering about where this information lives when running the 9i Lite Mobile Server as part of 9iAS. Does the user information HAVE to go into the OID (ie the LDAP directory), or can it remain in the mobile server repository schema?

Mail compose window jumps to back when adding address. As soon as I add a single character to the address window of a new mail message, it pops under all other existing windows. If I have others open...and who doesn't? I have to then close them all.

So.....deeply....disappointed by Lion...
It honestly gets in the way of getting things done.
When was the last time you had an upgrade, in any program or OS that caused an immediate productivity drop?
Mail windows, when adding a new address, pop under to become the lowest window in the stack...before you are done composing...
no extra clicks..just adding ONE character to the actual address bar does it.
Trying to add files to an online content management system is hard...it's hard because when you attempt to add the file, it disappears from
the list, so a search must be conducted...oh not a search of your hard drive...no...it has to include ALL FILES and that takes a while, showing
files totally unrelated to what you need or in whatever that view is, showing everything from movies to documents, to a whole range of other stuff
that is irrelevant to what is being sought.
I can get used to the disappearing icon tool bar...but the message threading in Mail is so strangely bad it's hard to describe. So you send out an email,
and it had 5 points...but that was 3 emails before...A reply comes in addressing those 5 points but saying something like ..."I disagree with point number 4"
Unless you have total recall the thread shows you only incoming mail and the LAST most recent folded up message you sent. You are forced to go digging
into sent mail to see what that point you made 8 days eariler actually was...
I am pleased that I don't have to have Launchpad (honestly the silliest 'feature' I've ever seen on a computer) in the dock and see no point in the juvenile Mission Control (the naming scheme is odd and reminiscent of Junior Spaceman...how ironic that we end America's manned launch capability at the same time as Launch Pad and Mission Control, both throwbacks to the 60's are added to an OS). In any case both are virtually useless tools. One, replacing the mildly useful Spaces and the other just genuinely useless.
I'm going to give Apple until the second bug fix...but I can tell right now that Snow Leopard was a far more robust OS. The thousands of posts about this may rise to the level of AntennaGate...I hope so...It seems the only way to get Steve (for whom I have now honestly lost respect for the FIRST TIME) to address the issues is to embarrass the company publicly. Lion is a broken system, poorly conceived...and proof that the Apple methodology of no widespread user testing can and does fail. This needs to get fixed. Soon.

It seems to have something to do with profile manager.
I get stack traces in the "system messages" logs for the "Server" application, grrrr.
I'll get that info and attempt to submit a but report tonight.

ITunes causing iPods to resync to windows when loading/unloading media

I work at a store where we retail all iPods, and we are running Windows XP, Vista and 7...when connecting an iPod, windows recognizes it as a new USB device, which is normal and expected.
What is not expected is that the iPod is being redetected by windows when adding/removing media from the iPods...this can cause havoc with the user experience in the sense that their antivirus software usually asks to scan newly inserted USB devices...say a user drops a single song onto their iPod then a minute later drops another...rinse and repeat...this means their A/V software comes up every single time they do that...this can cause some users to throw things...like iPods! I hate to RMA these iPods...and I'd image that Apple doesn't want to receive them either!

Changing data directly in employee user details / who's who

Using: EP7, MSAD

I would like to know whether it is possible to add a modify button within the user details window (who's who) for changing data directly and not to change to a different location within the enterprise portal.
if yes, how can I do that? Is it also possible to modify different fields depending on the department of the user who wants to change a profile?

New user session from an existing logged in user browser window

Hi,
I have a requirement that says, a new browser window should be popped up with a new user session from the current "logged in user" browser window when he clicks a button event.
What I have with me is the "UserID" of that new user. Is it possible in portal?

I know that you can manually click CTL-N to open a new browser window and the user is still authenticated.
So I would think that you could code a similar function into the button event.

How to disable an out of the box disable User process task from resource?

How should I disable the out of the box disable User process task that is assigned to a particular resource? If I disable this disable User process task, when the user is provisioned to the same resource will I be able to stop this disable User process from running?
My requirement: I need to disable the disable user process task from three resources x, y and z. Whenever a user is provisioned to one of these resources I should stop this disable user process task an out of the box process task from running. How can this be accomplished?? Please help me out on how to configureto remove the process task in the OIM Admin console to stop the process task.

You can avoid the disable task from triggering by removing the Disable Process Or Access to Application from the task effect drop down in the process task. But this task is triggered once the user is disabled. But still I didn't understand the exact scenario.
By the way the disable task is triggered when the user gets disabled and not when the user is provisioned.

How can I see more than 100 users when adding users to a node?

When adding new users through the User Management interface, only the
first 100 entries are listed. How do I increase the number of entries
so I can see the next hundred (or more) users? Is this done via the server
configuration parameter maxsearchresult?

The GUI Add User to Node option was meant for infrequent adds in smaller
environments. In large deployments (more than 100 user adds at a time), you
should be using the command line script "unidsattach". See the Administrators
Guide for more details on the command.

The parameter, maxsearchresult, is meant to limit the number of users that can
be returned on a search request by the calendar client. For example, if you have
1000's of calendar users and someone tries to search for all of them, this
parameter will make sure that the user is not left waiting a long time for
results.

In Settings > Notification Center, try turning "on" all the six buttons under "Today View". Also turn "on" the top two buttons under "Access on Lock Screen". Doing that should show you "Tomorrow" at the bottom of Noticiation Center.

When adding in a small company logo to the signature, PC's / windows computers only receive signature and logo as attachments.
I've tried all possible fixes I can find including getting a PC user to format the logo but no joy. Has anyone experienced this and any ideas on a fix gratefully received.

I am working on 1 VC assignment in which
1. I have to pick up the characteristic values selected in VA02 in sales order before saving the change sales order.
2. I have to Disable the characteristic window (with characteristic name and value) appear after click on u2018item detail : configurationu2019 button in sales order (if the chracterstic say 'Approval' having the value 'Yes')
3. I have to disable the characteristic window after selecting the one of the characteristic value to 'Yes' in VA02
So I need to fetch this character value witnin sales order before saving the change sales order and need to restrict the user to change any other characteristic value(disable the characteristic window) .
Please guide for any user exit at configuration side to export and import the values in sales order and disable the characteristic window to restrict the user from changing any other characteristic value for the item.

How can I control the windows behavior when the user hits "Windows key +d"?

I have an application with 2 top-level windows. Both windows may be open at the same time. One window is a win32 window, and the other is a wpf window. When both windows are open, the wpf window should always be before the win32 window. When the user hits
"Windows key +d" twice (show desktop and restore all windows), the windows are occasionally restored in a different order.
How can I force the wpf window to always be before the win32 window?
Which Windows messages/events are sent when the desktop is restored?

Hi,
I tried set the Topmost property on the Wpf window. It didn't help - for some reason, the win32 window still get in front of the Wpf window.
I was able to get some win32 messages that change the win32 window position. I tried then to bring the Wpf window to the front (using SetActiveWindow, SetForegroundWindow, SetWindowPos) but i does not work as expected.

Removing KB2506143 does not resolve my unexpected error when adding users in SBS 2011 Console

I suddenly have a problem adding a user. I get the yellow exclamation mark next to setting up an email account for 'username' and the x for setting up user quotas. When i look in ad the user is added though. Clicking on view error details
gives me;
!unexpected error occurred
x MessagingManagement
When i just look at the users in the sbs console 2011 i also get an unxepected error after 10-20 seconds.
All this just happend from one day to the next, i did not change anything to the server.
The bpa also doesnt give any errors.
Looking at the adduser file gives me the following errors;

Please refer to the path: Control Panel-> Programs and Features-> View installed updates. Then check and confirm again that didn’t install KB2506143. Meanwhile,
please run Get-Host command in PowerShell to confirm the version again.
In addition, please run the following commands and then monitor the result.
winrm invoke Restore winrm/Config
winrm quickconfig
By the way, would you please let me know the version of Exchange that you use?
