Hi, I have an older iPhone that I gave to my son to use as a phone. The problem I'm having is that he is always killing the battery watching YouTube videos. Is there any way to disable external video playback on the iPhone? Apparently there used to be a Youtube button under "Restrictions", but its gone now.

Never heard of that. I suspect it thinks that's an email address and you're seeing that screen b/c you don't have an email account setup on your iPhone.
Assuming the number is valid, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I have attempted to delete all music from the device (so there would be nothing to play), but 1 song remains in the iphone memory and I have been unable to delete that song.

I had this problem on my iPod Touch 4g. Just press the home and sleep button. Wait and it will give an iTunes and cable logo. Now you can put in DFU mode (Hold Sleep and Home button 10 seconds and then release the power button kand keep pressing on the home button.) Now you will be able to restore it in iTunes.

I started having this problem a week or so ago, after having used the Apple TV for a couple of months with only some minor problems. Yesterday, however, I started getting this problem again and today I could not get to Airplay from my Ipad - just kept getting the "error occurred" message on my tv screen. I tried the various fixes I could find on Google - at least the ones I could understand - but with no luck. Then I decided to bite the bullet and pay for Apple support, even tho the problem is with the device and not due to my ignorance. So I talked with a support person who said I would have to pay $19.95 for 30 days of support and was glad to take my credit card information. This person had never heard of the problem, and ending up bumping me up to an Apple TV specialist, after spending 20 minutes or so on hold, and explaining the problem, etc. I finally got to the specialist who had heard of this problem and said that she was crediting me for the $19.95, since the problem is due to a KNOWN HARDWARE ERROR. In fact, she said that Apple would give me a new, replacement unit if I would go to the nearest Apple store. This even tho I bought the unit used - it is still covered. Now I have to make a 100 mile round trip to the Apple store, since Apple won't send the new one out in the mail, even if I return mine first. And Apple won't pay for my gas. So that's the mostly good and some bad news. I hope that the new unit won't have this problem, but I think the bigger issue is that since Apple knew about the problem that affects certain serial numbers, why don't they post that information on their support sites or just make it findable by a Google search. Whenever I have had a problem with Windows, I have always been able to find a Microsoft article or fix addressing it by doing a Google search, but Apple, always desiring to be arcane and opaque, isn't interested in this approach. In fact, why not just put together a "known problems" site for Apple products so that users can find this kind of information easily, without having to put out $19.95 for technical support that isn't needed, and wasting their own time (and money, as in my case, for gas). The bottom line is that all of the people with this problem who posted (and there are many) were apparently ignorant that Apple KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND WILL REPLACE THE BAD UNITS. This is because, I am sure, they don't want to shell out the $19.95. Anyway, hope this helps someone. I doubt if Apple will listen to the suggestion. Good luck..

My YouTube app on iPhone 4S isn't working.. It says ''Error loading: Tap to retry'' and when I tap to reload the app, it brings back the same message.. I've experienced problems like this before, but it was fixed right away.. Is anyone else having this problem??

Nevermind! I fixed the problem! I just had to delete and reinstall the YouTube app!

You might be able to re-enable your account via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
For your security questions, if you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't have access to the email account, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 - you can also try this link to get your account re-enabled if the above doesn't work.
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to update/add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

It is missing. 2G provide me that better cell coverage and less battery use.

Partially disabled Safari on my iPhone 3GS

Somehow (I think) I managed to partially disable Safari on my iPhone 3GS. I can browse to any URL, however, after the page loads, I cannot scroll or "click" on any links. Safari and Restrictions settings are OK--not causing the problem. Any other suggestions?

Clear Safari history/cookies and data. (Settings>Safari)
Close all apps from MultiTasking and make a Reset.(Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.)

J'ai un problème pour me connecter sur l'application YouTube de mon iPhone : on me demande d'aller sur le site YouTube via compte Google et je peux me connecter sur le site internet (application SAFARI de mon IPhone) mais pas directement en utilisant l'application YouTube sur mon téléphone en raison d'un problème de reconnaissance de mon identifiant et de mon mot de passe ?
Je ne comprends pas ce que je dois faire, merci de votre aide.

Ce site est essentiellement anglophone et tu risques d'avoir du mal à trouver de l'aide en français.
Je ne suis pas sûr de bien comprendre ce qui t'arrive : je viens de faire l'essai depuis mon iPhone et j'ai accédé à l'application YouTube sans problème et sans qu'il me soit demandé de m'identifier.
Cela dit, il se trouve que j'ai un compte Google et que j'ai installé sur mon iPhone l'appli Google que je soupçonne d'être connectée en permanence avec mon compte. Et, en allant voir le site YouTube sur mon ordi depuis un navigateur en ayant pris soin de ne plus avoir de connexion active à mon compte Google, il est vrai que j'arrive sur une page qui me suggère assez fortement de créer un compte Google (ou de me connecter si j'en possède un).
Mais cela n'empêche pas de consulter les vidéos et je pense que le comportement ne doit pas être très différent sur iPhone. Es-tu sure que tu ne peux pas passer outre l'identification sur YouTube ?
Au pire et s'il n'est pas possible de faire autrement, il te suffit de créer un compte Google (avec ton adresse mail habituelle) même si tu ne t'en sers pas pour autre chose et de configurer sur ton iPhone l'appli Google avec mais, bien sûr, cela ouvre la porte au suivi à la trace de tes consultations par Google. A toi de mettre en balance avantages et inconvénients.
