Disappear Finger Print Login function !

Hi I'm user of x61.
I've tried to install nero 8 on my laptop and the installation failed halfway and restared the laptop.
After restarted the laptop, there is no more option to login by my finger print. There is nothing else wrong except it.
How can I reenable this finger print login function?

I don't think you could turn your trackpad into a biometric device, but here's a link to someone who cut open a space in their MacBook Pro's topcase to include a Sony Puppy -- you might be able to do likewise with the very similar case of your PowerBook (though I don't, of course, recommend this ;-)) : http://edahc.blogspot.com/2006/06/macbook-pro-biometrics.html

Finger Print Reader functionality on Tecra M5

I own TECRA M5 which I bought one month ago. Today I restarted computer and tried to login using finger print reader, it does not worked, after 5, 6 attempts it read my finger but gave the msg, finger read is too short.
I restarted computer again, same happened but after many tries it worked. Why it??s not reading my finger? Normally it does not happened and it read finger at first attempt but above mentioned problem I have faced 3 times.
Any suggestions? Problem with brand new Tecra is irritating.

Check the version of your fingerprint software. On the Toshiba website it's version 5.4.0
If your installed application is a little bit older so you should install the new one from the website.
Furthermore please be sure that the lens of the fingerprint is clean and that the device scans properly.

Finger Print Login in Win 8.1

I have entered my fingerprint to login to Windows in PC Settings -> Sign In Options
However there are no options during login. I tried swiping my finger over the reader, nothing works. I dont see the light blinking too.
I have configured for fingerprint login in windows 8.1 buy why is iy not coming up ?

I understand that you have set up the Simplepass software with fingerprints but are not seeing that option when you turn on the notebook.
When posting it is very helpful to provide your exact model of HP notebook and your Operating System.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Do you have the validity sensor drivers installed?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to aid with HP updates?

Menu tabs disappear completely after login and appears if only i press on item node at hire level

I'm using a Menu Model to Create a Page Hierarchy in my adf application on Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
it is in three levels level 1 have 2 item nods (home - Help) displayed as buttons
                            level 2   contains 5 item nods about the managements displayed as tabs
                            level 3   is about reports displayed as list
the point I have apply security in the application using Adf security wizard and i assign roles and users and grants
all works fine but level 2 tabs disappear completely after login and appears if only i press on Home item node at run time
I create 2 users (admin) has all roles and can view all tabs in level 2 of my navigation and another user (emp) which can view one Tab page in level 2
Point 1 --the item nod are rendered according the #{securityContext.regionViewable['oracle.view.pageDefs.RentManagPageDef']}     (EL ) expression language
and other item nod render property are set as the same but in the page name definition
it works fine
_ Point 2 in my page template I set #{menuInfo.rendered} for renderd property of the command navigation item
it works fine
- point 3 I add a go link in my template to explicit perform log in log out from the app and redirect the user to the required page
Destination is

the problem is in the level 2 navigation tabs which is diaper after explicit log in the app directs the user to the correct page successfully
But the tabs are not rendered till I press on home button on Level 1 navigation it appears and it appears correctly cording the logged in user validation
in another words i log in as user (admin) i get directed to the successful log in page in the link go but level 2 tabs are invisible or not rendered at all    I click on Home button in level1 navigation the tabs
become rendered or viewable and i navigate normally
I log out as admin the level 2 tabs becomes invisible again
then I log in as (emp) i get directed to the successful log in page and level 2 tabs are still invisible or not rendered
I click on Home button in level1 navigation the only one tab the user emp authorized to it gets rendered (appears)
and its semi correct behavior because this is what I want him to see only
my tries to find solution
I tride to use

on the menu node item   I found same behavior level 2 tabs gets hidden till i click on home link at run time

and it is using the same as i did from adf tutorials
I tried to make new navigation app on fast
maybe i made incorrect change in any stage of my original app
but I found same behavior
I tried to set disabled property instead of rendered property the tabs are always rendered   but I got server error when I click on a tab which a user does not authorized
So I doubt maybe problem in the El or the way I use to control rendering item node
or there additional step to stop all the tabs disappear after login
I hope please some one Help or tell me what i have to read about in the developer guide or interface developer guide or article on the web

have a look at the sample that comes with this article: Oracle ADF: Security for Everyone It uses resource remissions to authorize panel tabs.
One test to run is to print the outcome of the security evaluation (e.g. output text) to see what it returns.

When I installe Firefox version 4 my finger print scanner quit working. Any fixes for this?

I downloaded and installed Fire Fox 4.0 a few weeks ago. As soon as I downloaded the new software, my finger print scanner quit working. The scanner light that normally appears when ever there is a request for entering a user name or password no longer turned on and the scanner was no longer functional. I removed the new Fire Fox version and re-installed version 3.6.17. My finger print scanner is now working again.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

FireFox 4.0.1 does not support HP Simplepass Identity finger print scanner?

The previous version of Firefox would work with my HP Simple pass (finger print scanner built into the laptop) to be used as a password for all web sites that require a password. Firefox 4.0.1 does not know what to do when I scan my finger print on a login page. Can I remove Version 4 and go back to the old version that worked?

Touch ID doesn't recognize my finger print

Finger print recognition stops working after a few uses with IOS 8

Why does my finger print recognition stop working on my IP6 and IOS 8.1.2 after a few uses. I re-enter finger prints and it stops working again after a few uses.

No one here would know. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

Portege R700 Finger Print Reader suddenly not recognised from OS

I have been searching for a solution
My R700 on Win7 was working flawlessly using the finger print scanner. At some point without any reason the
hardware (finger print reader to login) was not recognized by the OS anymore.
- I tried to remove the driver software, reinstalled it
- updated it and so on resulting that the hardware was not found.
- I even removed all relevant entries from the registry - no go.
- the Authentic Finger Print software starts up, but only giving an error that the FP-reader is not present.
Is there a way to remove the stored fingerprint manually by deleting the manually.
The hardware is working according to the support. (Machine was send in)
However I do not wish to re-setup the entire machine (it is a business notebook) just to get this to work?
Any hints or step by step intro to achieve this?
I could not find a descritpion on how to remove fingerprints (cause I suspect that is the problem) manually since the software to do this does not start up.
Any input would be appreciated.

If you don't see the fingerprint hardware or unresolved devices in Device Manager then the device is either disabled in the BIOS or the fingerprint sensor is faulty or loose, or there was a liquid spill causing corrosion.

it shows the below message in lpa,
biometric functions is not working properly
-> logon with biometric function
-> wait 30 sec, then promt me again.
mots of times, i have uninstall the driver of this hw, then did scan for hw change, then some times this issue is solved.
please suggest me for this issue.

T410i - Finger print reader is not working

I have an unique case. Finger print reader is working fine while registering finger prints but not working while login or when prompts for authentication. !!!

Tried re-installing the fingerprint reader driver? Is the Client Security Solution installed as well?
