Disappear in PDF

Hello All,
When I run Paper Design, the report show tables with lines.
I used system parameters to save PDF file in local computer.
To edge line of table did not appear in PDF.
Any idea!
Thanks advance,
NY

Thank InoL,
It is strange. The appear and disappear issues are in both PDF and Paper Design.
In the PDF preview (Before printing) the edge line of table(partially) did not show.
But completed edge line of table are in paper hard copy.
Any experienced Guru, please!

  • Header and Welcome disappearing in PDF Portfolio

    Good day,
The Header and Welcome pages disappear in my PDF Portfolio after saving and closing. It appears to be related to the most recent update, as I don't remember having this issue before. If I create the document from scratch and save, it appears on the first open; however, if I edit that document the problem repeats itself. These Portfolios will need to be updated on a fairly regular basis, and I would prefer not to have to constantly re-create them if possible.
I tried the trial of X (had heard bad things), but it doesn't have the same choices for layout styles and the file size has increased dramatically from 9 to X, likely related to upgraded look and feel (which feels cartoonish to me).
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Version 9.4.3 or X, if you can provide a source for layouts that allows a file preview.
    Thanks,
    Chelsea

    Hi Chelsea,
This may be a known bug. See thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/3491158#3491158 , specifically the scenario/workaround Josh_Corey posted on March 7th at 6pm.
    Does that resolve the issue?

  • Text disappearing in pdf file

I received a word file that was converted to pdf using "pdf maker". In the word file there is "shading" behind the text. In the pdf file if I select portions of the text and try to "highlight" it to make comments, some of the text disappears. (The text actually goes behind the "shading" so that you can't see it). If I use the "touch up object" tool in Acrobat professional, I can select the "shading" and delete and see the text underneath. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks

I have run into this problem myself. I have been able to use the object selection tool (In Acrobat 8 Pro) to select the box in front of the text and delete it without also deleting the text.

  • Table headings disappearing in pdf?

Why are some table headings disappearing when I pdf a Frame 8 file? There is no pattern in the disappearances and each time I pdf the file, a different cell heading disappears. If I create a text box and paste that box over the heading, it shows up fine in the pdf, but that's a dumb way to work. This all started happening in the last month, after I changed computers. Thanks for the help!!

This is the message I get right now when I save to pdf. If I print to a prn, it doesn't open at all. I used to have a tool that converted the prn automatically at my old job, but there's nothing on the new job's computer and no IT help available. I've been doing a workaround by printing the TOC and the document separately and just adding the TOC to the new pdf, but now when I'm trying to pdf a large document (without TOC) that used to pdf just fine (with TOC), I'm getting the following message. I've just pdf'd chapters 7 & 8 with no problem whatsoever.

  • Text disappearing in pdf when re-ordering tags

I have a pdf (Acrobat 8 Pro), and I have created it as a tagged pdf in InDesign CS3. However, when I convert it to the pdf, the order of the tags changes, so that I need to use the Touchup Reading Order tool. When I do this, however, text disappears. The text in the ID file is in an opaque text box, and what is actually happening when I re-order in Acrobat is that the text is moved behind the opaque box so that it is no longer visible, but it still appears in the Order dialogue box.
However, in ID, they are one object - it is a text box containing text, not a separate opaque box behind the text. Otherwise I might try tagging the box as an artifact and see if that works. Theoretically, I could select it in Acrobat to tag it as an artifact, but the selection tool only allows me to select rectangular areas, and so it selects both the opaque box and the text behind it.
    Any suggestions?

  • Sometimes numbering disappears when pdf is created with Framemaker 8

For some reason the numbering disappears in the pdf created by framemaker. I am using framemaker 8 with all updates and distiller 7. I have tried other combinations with distiller 9 and no luck.
If anyone has had a similar problem, please can you let me know how you resolved it.
    Many thanks in advance

  • Existing letters disappear in pdf when I add text box

So I get letters in existing text disappearing as soon as I type anything in a new text box. I have acrobat XI pro running on windows 8.1.
My pdf document looks fine. All the text is there that's suppose to be there. I need to add text boxes on certain pages so I click on 'add text', I click on any area in my document and the text box appears. As soon as I type anything at all 'random' letters disappear throughout my document. I say random because it's an l here, an e there, etc but it's the same letters from the same words that disappear every time. A month ago I was working on the same document doing the exact same thing and had no trouble adding text without having letters disappearing.
I've been playing around with it for several hours now and am ready to punch a hole through the wall.
    Any ideas?

Thanks for 'all' the help (I kid, of course) but I figured it out on my own.
Tried many, many things and what worked in the end was increasing the dpi of the pdf when it was first created. I had it set to 300dpi which was the same default setting for all the other documents I created and manipulated with no problem but for whatever reason it doesn't work now. I tried it at 600dpi and it's fine. All the letters stay put when I add new text boxes. Probably other dpi settings would work also but I haven't tried.

  • Image button disappears in pdf output

I have converted an image into a clickable button in Indesign, but the image button disappears in the pdf output.
I also noticed that while I was creating the button and in the Button and Foam menu the "appearance" eye icon is greyed out.
    Can anybody help? Thanks!

It looks like you used InDesign CS6 (because you called it the Button and Form panel).
It's OK that the appearance eye icon was grayed out. Here's how it should look:
When you export, did you choose File > Export > PDF (Interactive)?

  • Adobe markups disappear in pdf attachments

I've been using Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 for Mac for a long time, and suddenly a new glitch showed up today for the first time. When I attach a single-page pdf document that I have marked up to an e-mail, the markups disappear. For example, I marked up a cover for a book I'm editing, and saved the edits, but when I attached the document, the edits no longer appear (but still appear when I open the actual document).
Someone sent me another marked up version of the cover, and I couldn't see the edits in the attachment as it appeared in the body of the e-mail, but when I opened the file, I could see the edits. Any ideas?

Do the Comments just not display or are they actually gone?
Click the yellow Comments icon in the lower left of the window and see what happens.

  • Corner options disappear in PDF

I have corner options on some textboxes in a book I'm designing, but when I create a PDF [PDF/X-4:2008] the effects disappear and the box just become a regular rectangle. Why does this happen?

Sounds like maybe you have CS3 and were using the button tool? You can apply corner effects to a frame and they ought to export just fine. As far as I know, the only difference between an object drawn with the frame tools and one drawn with the shape tools is frames always revert ro no stroke or fill (and no object style) and expect to have an image as content, while shapes can have strokes and fills by default, or an object style, and expect to have no content. Either can have anything placed inside.

  • Field disappears upon pdf export

I have a field that simply disappears when exported to pdf. When printed directly out of Crystal, everything is fine. It is a formula that simply subracts one field from another. It's placed in the details section. Any ideas?

    Hi Gregory,
That's strange, what version of Crystal Reports are you using?
Also, is the field visible when you export to other formats?

    how come?

    Hi Ying,
Unfortunately CR XI is past it's end of life and CR XI R2 and CR4E 2.0 requires java 1.4.
    Only option is to upgrade.

  • Illustrator clipping masks disappear in pdf from IDCS3

I just tried exporting a pdf from an InDesign CS3 document that contains an imported Illustrator-eps. In InDesign everything looks fine - but in the exported pdf some of the clipping masks (on tiff's) in the eps have disappeared.
I tried saving the Illustrator-eps as an Illustrator-pdf - now the exported pdf from IDCS3 is OK.
I tried switching to InDesign CS2 - keeping the old Illu-eps, and the exported pdf was OK.
Is there any way though that I can get IDCS3 to work with my old Illustrator-epses - so I don't have to open all of them and save as Illustrator-pdf? The idea of going back to IDCS2 isn't thrilling eather...

Is CS3 fully updated to 5.0.4? If so, and this is easily reproducible it
will never get fixed for CS3 so your workaround are all you have.

  • Shadows disappearing when PDF/X-1 made?

Ive created a file in InDesign CS3 with some simple swooshes at the bottom... All art was created in InDesign (not placed from Illustrator). I need to create a PDFX-1 file from this for a vendor.... However, when I do this, I lose the shadows on swoosh.
Ive exhausted my knowledge of what to do... Which has included:
    - changing the drop shadow settings (normal and multiply, honor effects, knockout...)
    - adjusting the shadow effects from object to fill
    - export the graphic from InDesign as an EPS, then place this EPS
    - restarting my computer, and using a coworkers computer
The one thing I have not yet done is try exporting the problem artwork as a hires jpg and then using that. (I'd prefer not to do this as another vendor is producing the rest of the kit and it would be a HUGE undertaking to modify all the other pages just to match the methods used for this page.)
Ironically, the low-res PDF accomplishes what I need perfectly, but of course at the sacrifice of the other images on the page.
(If only this vendor would accept my InDesign files - they look/print perfect!)
Thank you for any tips or insight you may have!

Are your colors process colors or spot colors? If you have spot colors interacting with transparency like drop shadows, you'd need to turn on overprinting to preview and print it.
One workaround would be to convert your colors to process colors.
