Disappearing Content Window in A3

I am running the trial version of A3 and there is one serious flaw that I have - when scrolling, the content window begins to go to white - disappears as I scroll. Happens in the Metadata tab, the Adjustments tab and the viewer\split view. This problem does not happen in full screen mode. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I have repaired permissions and re-installed from a new download. Advice is appreciated.

As you can see, all the text and content goes away except for the dropdown menus and links at the top and bottom. As I mentioned, this occurs in both CS4 and CS5 trial versions of Contribute. When trying File/Edit in external application which is notepad on my system, sometimes the text is formatted and coherant (like when you open View Source in IE8) and other times notepad opens up as all text, no spaces, or formatting of any kind--looks like a garbled mess.
Any help is appreciated.

Adobe Bridge is extremely slow to load thumbnails in the content window when opening a folder.

Has anyone else had any issues with Bridge taking a long time (45 seconds per window) to load the content window? I have my files nested in folders and when I browse them using Bridge it takes me forever to get to the files I need. I'm asking here to see if there's some setting I need to adjust or something. We just recently started using CC and I had no problems at all until our IS department swapped out my tower with a new one. I don't know why that would make a difference but it's the only thing that's changed.

You might want to provide more details about this configuration (OS, what files are you viewing, are you on stand alone or via server) but in general a new computer (I think that is what you are talking about?) means all the difference.
The specs regarding free disk space, RAM, VRAM and processor speed is vital for application like PS and Bridge that are very processor demanding when busy.
And you need to recache the lot first once to save the data for thumbs and HQ previews to the cache for future use. Once a file is cached it should show instantly. Best way to recache is to select the main folder and use the menu view / show items for subfolders and then let Bridge do its work. This can take a long time depending the amount and file size of your content.

as we know that the wireless client who wants to send data to the access point must generate a back-off time between 0 and CWmin and and waits until the RF channel is free for an interval called DIFS.
now who gives the CWmin to the client? (i think the AP, right?)
if the client's CWmin is given by the access point, how the AP gives it to the client ?
please tell me, i really could not find any explaination on the internet.

Content Window Problem

Today I installed photoshop elements 8.0, and uninstalled pse 8.0. I started to make a card and I wanted to insert some clipart. I opened the content window, but nothing comes up. I can filter by word or type or I can show all. No matter what I choose the box is empty. Shouldn't there be some images, frames, etc., in there?

You are running from an admin account and you did install from one? If so, go to library>application support>adobe>Photoshop Elements>8.0>Locale>en_US and delete mediadatabase.db3. The next time you start up PSE give it time to rebuild the database. Note that the library folder in question is the one at the top level of your hard drive, not system>library or your username>library.

.nef files not displayed in my content window!

.nef files not displayed in my content window. I just want to work, not screw around fixing thing. How come the .nef files won't display anymore? The new .nef files don't display.

Well, I'm afraid I'm not going to be a lot of help. From what I see, if everything is installed correctly it should be working. I know that there has been a few challenges associated with Vista, but I don't know enough about that aspect to really comment. I'm still using Windows XP.
As far as Camera Raw is concerned, there have been four updates since CS3 was released. If you haven't done any updates you are probably in for a pleasant surprise. New controls have been added that most people have found to be quite valuable. The most current version of Camera Raw is 4.3.1. The first thing I would suggest is for you to download that update and get it installed and see it that makes a difference.
I know you indicated that you don't want to have to do a lot of fine tuning of the program. But Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) is updated frequently, and you always want to make sure you have the most current version. If the new version of ACR doesn't resolve your issues the problem "might" be related to Vista. And I'm afraid I cannot help you with that at all.

Content window not opening in Firefox 11

Firefox 11.0. Windows XP. I open the options under tools. I can open all the tabs except for the 'content' window. I click on it and the last opened window (advanced or any others) stays. It will not open. Tried opening and closing the window and still nothing.
Any suggestions for getting the content window to open?

Annoying scroll in content window of Bridge CS4

Hello! I have found a thread pertaining to my problem here:

But it does not answer my question. I am using Bridge to very rapidly put ratings on a high number of images (500+) each day, and use the content window to scroll through the images with a preview image on top (filmstrip view)
Since I upgraded to CS4, they added a pretty fast transition effect when arriving at the rightmost edge of the content window, but it stops the next image from appearing right away while it does the transition and it is very annoying to me, compared to CS3 where the was no transition effect.
I found that using a synchronized window in essentials view on my second monitor and browsing through there while viewing the preview on my first monitor disabled the transition, but I would prefer having that screen free for doing other things.
If there was a way of disabling that quick, but annoying transition, it would speed up my work immensely.

That is using the arrow keys, which I didn't specify in the first post. It behaves correctly while using the mouse scroll wheel.

First, thanks for your reply. It's greatly appreciated. However, the level of your response fails to address the scope of the original question. Your first supposition is incorrect, that most MS Word docs copy uneventfully into the body of Gmail emails. This only applies to the most basic of MS Word docs (i.e., those utilizing minimal formatting, such as basic letters, etc.) and otherwise runs contrary to dozens of online complaints posted by users such as myself (though not on the Firefox website). Second, everyone knows you can add an attachment to Gmail emails. In this case, the recipient will not accept attachments of any kind, and has therefore asked that the content be copied directly into the email body. This is not uncommon in these cases. Third, the very nature of Notepad makes it unable to translate/interpret any documents beyond the most basic, hence its name: Notepad. Fourth, apparently this problem is rare or virtually non existent with other browsers, as all the complaints online appear to be Firefox related. Again, however, I appreciate you taking a stab at this.

What you're trying to do now is:
EFI->kernel (EFI stub)
This is appealingly direct, but it's tricky to get working. What the wiki now recommends is:
EFI->gummiboot->kernel (EFI stub)
...or...
EFI->GRUB->kernel
These approaches are less direct, but they're easier to configure. The trouble is that both the EFI's built-in boot manager and the EFI stub loader are tricky to configure. For a newbie to get them both configured correctly on a first attempt at installing Arch is very difficult. Getting the EFI to launch gummiboot or GRUB is easier because these programs don't require the complex parameters that the EFI stub loader requires. Those parameters can instead be specified in the gummiboot or GRUB configuration file, which is easier to manage for quite a few reasons.
If you want to pursue using the EFI stub loader directly, you certainly can. I've learned from experience, though, that it's not worth my time to try to help with users who want to do this. Using an intermediary program is easier to get working. IMHO, the direct approach has no real benefits except that it gives you bragging rights that you've done it. Your system won't boot any faster or more reliably in the more direct approach. (Well, technically it will be faster, by only by a matter of milliseconds, assuming you use a 0 timeout value in gummiboot.) In fact, it will be less reliable, because gummiboot, GRUB, and rEFInd all offer ways to adjust boot options on a boot-by-boot basis, which is very helpful when fixing problems. You can't do this with the direct approach.

Colors of the Icons in the Print Document Content Window

When you right click a single source layout and click properties and then click next it takes you to the Print Document Content Window, where you can take topics and by clicking the arrow that points to the right hand frame, move the topics into your print document.
I have seen posts on this forum where people talk about the colors of the icons on this screen. I have seen these icons colored blue, white and grey, but nowhere in the documentation or on these forums are the colors specifically documented, telling you what they really mean.
I have a situation where for one of my single source layouts, the colors of the topics on the left pane are blue and the colors on the right pane are white. Meanwhile, in another one of my single source layouts the colors on the left are blue, but the colors on the right are grey and that single source layout doesn't generate the topics that I want.
Can anyone explain to me what these colors mean, and if as I am thinking, grey means not there, why are they there in one single source layoput and not in the other?

The gray icons signify that the topics have been excluded by virtue of using a Conditional Build Expression.
The blue icons signify that the topics are included in the Printed Output.

Amy, is there a chance they could both be Syncing to another device that has the data erased?
What are the sizes & modification dates on the files you found?
Could be many things, we should start with this to be safe, though 2 different ones would seem unlikely to be this problem...

5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Folders Mysteriously Disappear in Windows Server 2008 R2

Hi,
I have this obscure issue with newly created shared or unshared folders disappearing in Windows Server 2008. I know that folders are still there because I can go into DOS mode and locate the folders. Even in DOS mode, I cannot see the folders by typing the
"dir" command. I have to type "cd" and then name of the folder to be able to access them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please check if there is an autorun.inf file in the folder. Try to delete it in Explorer or command line if it exists.
Also try "Attrib -H -S <foldername>" to see if helps.

Updated creative cloud and everything disappeared, running windows 7 64 bit

I updated creative cloud on my windows 7 desktop, this failed with error code 50, cancelled the update, then tried again this time the update went ahead as normal however on completion. All my creative cloud short cuts etc had disappeared and windows told me that the creative cloud exe file no longer existed.
Ok I thought I will reinstall and take it from there, however the CC web page will only allow me to repay[my next subscription is not due until June, so that is a no no,] the question is how do I get CC back my copies of Photoshop and Lightroom appear to be working normally and tell me that they are up to date Help

Negative to the cleaner, as I have no problem with anything else but CC desktop app and that isn’t anywhere to be seen, therefore nothing to clean, I don’t even know if I have the cleaner installed ?, I am just a keen amateur who likes using LR mainly and my nik plug in collection occasionally, this is just a nuisance to me, I only use the desk top app to update when it reminds me to, as I have lightroom 4 anyway and have hardly used Photoshop since I took out my subscription last June, it may pay me to just upgrade Lightroom when my subscription finishes I certainly don’t fancy having to run any chance of using a cleaner and losing my plugins, backing everything up etc, especially when the website isn’t user friendly as regards trying to re install the desk top app.
Thanks for your time anyway, sorry it couldn’t be a quick fix.

There is a toolbar with content ( Window ) in the right upper part of the screen , is there a way to remove the entire toolbar ?

If you don't want the toolbar in the MDI window (which is the one I think you mean) you remove the entry in the module property "Menu module".

Photosmart 7520 Scan software access disappeared when Windows 10 was installed.

Under Win 8.1 I would click in the printer desktop icon to select the connect 7520 printer. Three optins would be displayed and I would selec the middle one for scanning. Now that icon wants to setup the printer for WiFi usage, install printer to a USB port or come back later - no scan options. What do I needed to do?
