Disappearing DRM TV

Hey I love Apple TV but it really has problems.
When internet goes out it just dumps gigabytes of TV shows and moves that are iTunes (DRM) purchased. This means that I paid for the larger hard disk but it is only useful for non-iTunes video content. This is a serious problem. Also, wi-fi connection to Apple TV drops all the time even though there's a strong signal.
Apple TV great concept; poor execution.

has updating to v2.4 firmware not resolved this issue for you ?

  • The DRM version disappears

I work on DRM version 11.1.2.1.104 some times the created application version disappears without any trace. If I create a DRM version with same name, it says that version already exists. I guess its because of some issue in that created version?
If anyone experienced the same issue or solution to this issue please let me know.
    Thanks

    Yes, Cable Summers is right.
You need to save the versions after creating, if not they disappear.
Restart DRM service from the console and you will be able to create a new version with same name. Save it, so that it doesn't disappear again.

  • Non-latin text disappears from DRM-protected pdf file

    Hi,
I'm facing with following issue - when I package pdf with non-latin data (for example, arabian characters), they are not shown in ADE.
    Adobe Content Server: 4.2
Client: ADE 2.0, DL Reader 2.4.7 (Android), Bluefire Reader 1.5.7
Screenshot of 3rd page of document in ADE

    Hello,
Hope someone can clue me into what I am doing wrong.  I use Overdrive for EPUB files from the library but they also have PDF files I would like to read which are DRM protected.  On the website it says that I can use Adobe Digital Editions and transfer the file from the library website to my computer and then my computer to my phone.  I can't seem to get the file to transfer from my computer to the phone.  Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?
    Thanks for any help.
    To Wildman,
Here is a link to Overdrive where the OP is getting the files that are either epub or pdf format that comes with DRM protection.  I looked into using it at one time for lending books from my library and reading on my Nook e-reader, but never got around to setting it up completely.

  • [Solved]After upgrade: Random system stalls, invisible text. drm/i915?

    Hi,
Short version: I think I have a problem with drm and my graphic card drivers after an update, but I'm not quite sure what to do about it.
Longer version: ever since an update 2 days ago, I have a range of system problems.
Most notably, the system stalls or hangs for between 2 and 10 seconds every few minutes. This may happen during any kind of activity - viewing pdfs (zathura or acroread), working in the terminal (lilyterm), web browsing (firefox) or reading/writing email (thunderbird). It also very often stalls during change of awesome's tags, but not every time (only every third or so).
Then, similar to this recently necromanced thread ( https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=135259 ), I have random letters disappearing in thunderbird, but also random paragraphs disappearing in firefox, see screenshot here: http://imgur.com/RhOhL3a
With the help of dmesg I discovered errors like
[15170.335247] [drm] stuck on render ring
[15170.335310] [drm:i915_set_reset_status] *ERROR* render ring hung inside bo (0xebf0000 ctx 0) at 0xec0a050
popping up a lot, and google-found a few related threads or bug reports ( https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/34611 ,  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=160186 ,  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1251547 ). But then my troubles start, because I don't know just exactly what to do with this information. Some seem to speak of downgrading, but downgrade what exactly? Some say this is fixed/solved, but in what sense (reported upstream, fixed upstream, fixed in arch) and then what does is mean that I still get such errors? Should I re-report them, or what should I do to fix? Some system info below.
    Thanks for any pointers!

  • Xorg.conf disappears, then X doesn't load

So I come back from vacation, the computer apparently has been working fine this whole time, and my brother goes to the computer and gets some error message.  Turns out the xorg.conf somehow disappeared totally.  I remade the thing, and it looks right, but X doesn't work.  I run startx as a user or as root and the screen flashes dark and then goes into low power mode or whatever it is where the monitor on light changes and it stays black, and then I can't get it to go back, so I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE and restart, and the logs don't say anything about an error.
However, if I put in my Arch CD and boot into the system, X loads just fine, except for that the mouse doesn't work.  I don't know what's wrong.

  • Cannot re-open DRM-prot pdf file on Bebook One

Yesterday I bought a Bebook One. Charged the batteries of the Bebook. Installed Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) on my (Windows 7) computer. Authorized my computer. Bought two e-books on http://www.bol.com and downloaded them with ADE. Moved the books (pdf with DRM-protection) to the Bebook library that was visible in ADE. Disconnected the Bebook from the computer and I was able to read the e-books on the Bebook. So far, so good.
Then I stopped reading. I might have viewed the same books using ADE on my computer after that; I am not sure. Later on I wanted to re-open the book on the BeBook One again. But then I could not open the e-book anymore. When selecting the book, the "hourglass" is visible for 2 or 3 seconds, and then disappears, the menu is re-displayed again and then nothing happens.
However, I can open free (no drm) pdf's and Word files (*.doc) on the Bebook. So, I assume it is something with the DRM. Any suggestions?

  • Apple should start to listen to customer issues with disappearing content.

There are many threads with users experiencing missing downloads of tv shows. There is clearly something going on apples side here and really disappointed that no one has come forward and stated that we are aware of an issue and hope to have it fixed asap. Considering how many people purchase products for apple tv the response should by apple should be better. tech support telling people such as myself to do a complete restore of apple tv is not acceptable which i did just in case. the issue still remains. i advise people to hold off purchasing content for tv shows until an answer is provided. wasted enought time on this matter and still a fan of apple but patience is wearing thin. i realize that this forum is not answered by apple but feel that apple does read these posts and would love to keep the revenue coming in for itunes as it avoids piracy among other things.

I've never had any content disappear,
I had it happen once, around the time we first got itunes store access in UK on AppleTV - everything inexplicably deleted from AppleTv not just some things.
Fortunately the purchase I'd made a few hours before had synced to iTunes.
I really feel there are a couple of weaknesses with the model for media purchase on AppleTV:
1 - Things inexplicably disappear for some users - it MAY be user error in some instances - but if that's the case there is clearly no safety net warning in either iTunes or on the TV that the user is doing something that might cause the problem otherwise they'd remember.
If you've purchased content and it disappears before it's synced back to iTunes or been watched, you're going to take some persuading to part with your cash again in this manner.
2 - 'Reverse syncs' of purchases need to be avilable manually for AppleTV, possibly by a drag and drop within iTunes to override instances when the user has set up the wrong type of library, or the sync library fails to reverse sync content. Without being to move content back from AppleTV the user cannot use on other devices or make backups - a very unsatisfactory user experience, even if it only affects a few.
Movies/video with DRM are protected anyway, so what's the problem?
For iTunes plus material all that would be needed would be for the user perhaps to confirm their iTunes store credentials to allow the reverse transfer to happen to prevent opportunistic copies being made by nefarious individuals or those who have come into possession of stolen or 2nd hand AppleTVs.
I have found to date that iTunes Store invariably are quite helpful with any purchases that develop issues, but it is not guaranteed they'd allow redownloads etc, and it takes so little to put consumers off a service when it doesn't live up to expectations.

  • DRM problem after recent upgrade

Just recently upgraded my system with pacman -Syu, now my system does not boot and halt with an error message as
[drm: intel_dp_aux_wait_done] *ERROR* dp aux hw did not signal timeout (ha irq.0)!
UPDATE: I installed linux-lts, which is kernel 3.0. The error disappears but the system halt when reaching the desktop environment. I have only the desktop background with no icon or menu. Just mouse moves, and no action from keyboard.

If the revisions don't match, that is the root of your problem.
No, that is not the source of problem. It was my mistake. `uname -r` in arch-chroot shows the version of host machine's kernel. Thus, I got the correct kernel by pacman -Qi linux.

  • I can no longer read DRM protected books

I have had ADE and Sony Reader for PC for some years without any major problems. Recently I have been having some issues downloading a particular book - the acsm would not download the file. In trying to fix this I seem to have created a far worse problem. One of the fixes suggested was to ensure my computer was properly authorised - but I was unsure of my password on my Adobe account linked to my old email so not knowing what else to do I created a new account. Adobe have now rather unhelpfully removed the DRM from all my legitmately pruchased books. I have been wrestling with the earlier problems for over a week now and this latest hastle is the last straw.  My computer is Windows Vista and my ereader is Sony PR1, I thought this would need to be resolved by Adobe linking or merging my accounts but if anyone can help  I would be very grateful.

This is the Reader forum. The Digital Editions one is here:

  • Downloads disappear from folder

I have downloaded some music and when it has completed the task, the download file disappears. Hasn't done this before, files always remain in download folder.

    Launch Finder.
    Finder > File > Find
When the Finder window opens up, enter the name of the music file in the search box at the top right corner.
It will show up in the Finder under “Name”.
Right click on it and select “Reveal in Finder” from contextual menu.
The resulting Finder window will show the location.

  • On Screen Keyboard Glitch in Tablet Mode - On Screen Keyboard minimizes / disappears / slides down

    Hi there -
New Yoga owner here ( just bought it yesterday) and within minutes of setting the computer up I noticed that the on screen keyboard was malfunctioning when the yoga is in tablet mode. Specifically, it pops up for about a second and then, without me touching or clicking or doing anything, it quickly slides back down. repeated attempts to bring up the keyboard end up, frustratingly, with the same result. what is perplexing to me is the on screen keyboard works fine in laptop mode (when I need it least).
Someone else already started a post on this BUT it was marked as 'solved' (which it wasn't) so I figured I'd start new thread. The solution on the previous thread was to simply 'refresh' windows to get rid of any new drivers that were downloaded since purchasing the yoga, but I did not download or update anything prior to this problem arising (as I said, the problem seemed to occur within a few minutes of turning the machine on for the first time). In any case, I tried the refresh and it did not work so clearly my problem is not that I downloaded an incompatible or faulty driver. Please Help! I love this machine and I'm trying to see past the other flaws I've noticed so far (subtle screen flickering, inconsistent touch sensitivity etc), but this issue is starting to really undermine my confidence in the product quality and, from a productivity standpoint, it is a real deal breaker to not have full tablet functionality.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I had the same problem with the disappearing virtual keyboard within hours of starting to use my new Yoga 13.  I read somewhere that it was a problem with an incompatible Synaptics driver, and when I looked in the control panel, it showed that the Synaptics driver had been updated on my Yoga as of the day I bought it.  I think somehow by agreeing to automatic updates of the software, the Synaptics driver is updated to an incompatible version.   So what I did was I removed the Synaptics driver, using the Windows program uninstaller tool, rebooted, and then found the Synaptics driver at the Lenovo site which is specifically labelled as the Yoga 13 driver.  I installed that, and the keyboard is now working fine.

Looks like your webkit framwork is broken, or is now broken in relation to iTunes. Calls and classes may have changed since version 7.1, which is what you are using. Try updating to the latest version of iTunes and see if this fixes it.
