Disappearing measurements

While working in CS4 I could view the overall size of what I had selected on screen.  For example, if I had a square that was 5" x 5" it showed in the toolbar as those measurements.  In CS5, it still shows up, but if I select more than one object it disappears.  I have to move the mouse and select "transform" in the toolbar before it will show me the measurements.  This is just aggravating.  Does anyone know how to have those measurements turned on all the time.  Thanks

Perhaps your screen is not big enough to fit the entire contents of the Control Panel. The Control Panel will automatically drop off items that don't fit depending on the size (# of pixels) the screen is set to. When you have multiple objects selected, the Align controls show up even though they are not visible when a single object is selected. There is a fly-out menu on the far right of the Control Panel where you can uncheck items that you don't care to see in order to make room for the ones that you do.

  • Mapping-source column(for the measure)disappears after pressing apply

    I am using AWM 11.2.0.2.0B and Oracle 11.2.
    I have successfully mapped my dimensions. Then I defined a stored measure, say DISTANCE and I want to map it to a column in my database. When I click the "apply" button, the mapping disappears! And I can not find any error messages. I have tried mapping another column to it (defining a different measure), still the mapping disappears after applying.
    The type of the data(measure) is number(22) in my database, so I choose Data type: Number, Precision:22 and Scale=0 in my cube(storage section) and I check "use compression", therefore the measure will inherit the mentioned data type (of cube). I also tried using integer as the data type, no success. I first doubted that it expects some different type of data to be mapped, but seems that is not the problem. Every column I put there as my source column disappears after clicking on apply!
    Any idea what the problem is or where I should find a log?

    Hi Veeresh,
    As per my understanding, this error happens when the OLE DB Source component cannot find the corresponding source column in the database table. Possible reason is the the column name in the external database table has changed or
    the column has been removed.
    To verify this issue, please go to the Advanced Editor for OLE DB Source Input and Output Properties tab to see the External columns and Output columns. To fix it, please refresh the data or recreate the Source.
    Thanks,

  • 3d model disappears when taking measurements

    I created a 3d pdf and saved with extended features enabled so that I can take measurements in Adobe Reader 9.4.3.  However, when I try to take a measurement in Reader, the model disappears until I exit measuremnt mode.  I am able to take measurements in Acrobat with no problem.  Any ideas??  Thanks

    Hi Thanks for your response.  I don't think it is a graphics card issue, I've looked at it on several machines and see the same problem.  Attached are 2 screen shots from Reader showing the model and then how it disappears when measurement is enabled.  I am seeing this with every model that I've tried that originates from CAD - ProE and Ideas files were tested.  A simple scene from 3dsMax did not have the measurement error in Reader.  All of the files I'm working with were created in Right Hemisphere exported to pdf.
    Per your question, I have hardware rendering turned on in the 3d and multimedia preferences.  I see the problem when DirectX 8 or 9 are enabled but not when the Preferred Reader is set to Software (but performance is unacceptable).
    Thanks again for the help.

    i need a help to recreate the same issue or i want to know what is the BUYER action makes this Unit deletion.
    GOA status is HELD ONLY

    1) Is the contract created from scratch or from preceding document, such as shopping cart or bid response.
    A1 :- NO . it is fresh starting PROCESS GOA.
    2) Is the material maintained with alternative unit of measures
    It has only Base UOM as EA.
    3) Is the unit of measure on the price condition different from the item's unit of measure.
    third one i did notunderstand . buyer just entered price for that material. but in the condition we could not see the UOM.
    some action buyer is doing i could not recreate this issue.
    thanks jay.

  • Spry Menu Bar disappears absolute position

    Hello all this is my first time posting on this site so bear with me. I have a semi-transperant spry menu bar that i inserted into the header div, over an image. I moved the menu bar -38px, when the position is set to relative the menu bar is visible, however the old position of the menu bar has a blank white space there. I think this is due to the relative position property. When i change it to absolute the whole menu bar disappears? http://www.brightlikethesun.com/index2.html (the position is back to relative to show the menu bar and also background for header is blue to show the space)

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements within these divs have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
    2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a div set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the div's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
    3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar divs could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
    4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all right instead of all left) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the divs around in the HTML source.

They were born in early 2012 from the collective desire to make beautiful, thought provoking, and at times, chaotic music. Much like fellow Texan bands like Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You, they are entirely instrumental, and known for creating progressively intricate waves of ambiance that grow with intensity and an unabashed wash of emotion. Attuned to their affinity for dynamics, seeing them live takes the listener from deafening walls of orchestrated sound, to melodies so subtle that one finds themselves acutely aware of their own breathing. <br />

    What I see:
    You need a width on the ul.MenuBarVertical style. Make it the same width as the ul.MenuBarVertical li selector.
    Remove the float: none; from this style:
    ul.MenuBarVertical ul li
         width: 12em;
         float: none;
    No such measurement as a half a pixel:
    ul.MenuBarVertical ul
         border: .5px solid #CCC;
    If you want a border, 1px is minimum...you repeat this incorrect half-pixel in several places.
    Running your page through the W3C Validator returned this: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.healthydirections.ca%2F&charset=%28dete ct+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
    Your initial errors are not declaring a DOCTYPE, which among other things, does not provide the browser with any information regarding how you want the code interpreted for your viewer. Some browsers guess well, some do not (IE).

  • E72 Wlan Wizard Issue: Icon/Selection disappeared ...

    Crossposted from here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/E72-Wlan-Wizard-Issue-Memory-Full-and-icon...
    After my mobile phone automatically switched off while I was trying to check my SMS because of low battery, I plugged it to charger and switch it on again. Upon turning on however, the Wlan Wizard icon/selection has disappeared from start up screen/desktop. When I try to access Wlan Wizard by going Menu > Ctrl Panel > Connect > WLAN wiz., it gave me Memory Full error instead.
    I've tried various method available that I can get from here: Turn off and on (it worked when the same issue happened a long time ago but not this time), deleting licenserserv.log to free up space in phone memory (still no Wlan Wiz and still Memory Full error after restart), going back to factory setting and restart but all to no avail.
    Following the advice in the thread I posted before, I installed Nokia Suite and updated my E-72 with the latest software. I even try reinstalling for good measure. Still the same thing: no Wlan Wizard icon on desktop/home screen and Memory Full upon Menu > Ctrl Panel > Connect > WLAN wiz.
    What else can I do to solve this issue? The attached picture is my phone info using Nokia Suite. Note the red highlight box. Is it supposed to be so?

    You need to try the *#7370# reset. It should not touch anything on the memory card but you can remove it as a precaution. Do 2 backups, one with everything and the oter with only your data. Sometimes when you restore all the settings as well it brings bck the problem.
    After the reset, try the phone to make sure everything is working fine before restoring your backup. If the problem comes back after the restore then reset again but this time use restore using the data only backup.

  • Limiting Tables and charts with Measures having RelativeValue

    Hallo,
    I just try to do some difficult stuff with the WebI Rich Client 4.1.
    There are two measures for each month on a time line showing year and month. Thus, I have a dimension for year and month and two different measures for each year/month combination.
    Now, e.g. I want to compare these two measures having same month and different years, say the current year and the year before. Please see the table below for a visible figure.
    I used RelativeValue([measure prior year_1];([year/month]);-12) for [measure prior year] in order to compare one 1 year older measure with the other measure.
    year/month
    measure prior year
    measure current year
    2010/10
    2010/11
    2010/12
    2011/01
    2011/02
    2011/03
    2011/04
    2011/05
    2011/06
    2011/07
    2011/08
    2011/09
    2011/10
    439
    97
    2011/11
    7.294
    2.712
    2012/02
    20.496
    13.397
    2012/05
    21.859
    12.636
    2013/01
    36.325
    27.286
    2014/08
    26.894
    17.425
    There are no values for [measure current year] before 2011/10. But, there are values for [measure prior year_1] before 2011/10. [measure prior year] is actually from 2010/10, 2010/11 and so on, as defined with RelativeValue.
    No problem here. Everything works fine. But, now, I want to start the table with the first row where [measure prior year] is not null while leaving measure current year unchanged. Just cut the table and start with 2011/10...
    And here we get the problem. Hence, RelativeValue references to values before 2011/10 all these reference will disappear for [measure prior year].
    The same is with charts. I couldn't find a way to reference to values that exist by the query but which are not displayed in a table or a chart!
    What I need is a way to reference to values which are not present in a single table or chart but in the report. I already fiddled with the display options (null values, without dimension etc.) of tables. But, no way.
    How could a accomplish this task?
    Any idea of something like "hiding" unwanted rows/bars results in "loss of data".
    Thanks for any help
    Matthias

    Well... if you think and try long enough, you may find the solution .
    The core problem is to reference to queried values not shown in the table/chart. And there IS a solution.
    Just use...
    NoFilter(RelativeValue([measure prior year_1];([year/month]);-12))
    ... instead of
    RelativeValue([measure prior year_1];([year/month]);-12)
    NoFilter enables RelativeValue to reference to values not present in a table or chart, but available in the report .
    From there on, you can define e.g. the starting point of the category axis of a chart by defining a local filter without losing values to be referenced .

  • PS CS4 menu bar sometimes disappears (parts of it)

    Now and then, part of my menu bar disappears - the section just to the right of "help" - I think the first icon for this particular bar is to open Bridge. I've included a screen shot of my issue - notice that area seems to show my desktop (or whatever is open behind PS). I think this has something to do with my graphics card. I have a nVidia GEForce 9500 GT (driver version 6.14.11.9107 from 9/27/09). The driver is current. When this issue comes up, I have to literally reboot for that secion of the menu bar to reappear. Simply logging off and back on doesn't do it. When this menu bar section "does" appear, when I mouse over the icons, the "roll over" icon is blank - or just solid grey. I don't think that is how it's supposed to look.
    I've also had trouble (recently and in the near past) with my "show grid" setting (reference: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/493932?tstart=0). For example, I would create a document 72px x 72px @ 72ppi - make my grid visible (grid settings are set to show 1 grid line every 1px & 1 subdivision). When zooming into any corner of the image, I could see the grid lines were offset (example images on my reference post) - this is not to be confused with the pixel grid. I'm wondering if these issues are related to each other and/or because of my graphics card. The grid line offset issue was previously fixed by deleting my preferences, but sine this is happening again, my guess is something is causing the "grid" to show improperly. I've tested with and without GPU enhancements enabled in PS preferences. I just can't find a common thread in which causes these issues.
    If I still have your attention, I would like to add an "off topic" issue (maybe somoene reading this can help on the other issue too). In reference to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/508982?tstart=0, no one has really been able to answer this or confirm/deny they get the same results. This has to do with viewing document size, and the unit of measurement seems to get stuck on cm (I want it to remain on inches like it always did with CS3) - maybe I should go back to CS3. Whenever I have rulers set to pixels, the document size locks to cm. The only way I can see inches in document size is if my rulers are set to inches. To me, it makes sense to have rulers set to pixels (for many reasons), but when it comes time to print, change canvas size, etc., I want to see the document size in inches. I don't know if this is normal, but when I go to create a new document, in the preset drop down list for "default photoshop size", it's unit is cm. Could that have something to do with my cm issue? I'm already made sure my regional settings are US, and unit settings are set according to attached image (unitSettings.jpg).
    At this point, I'm going mad because these little bity querks just drive me up the wall to the point I can't get anything done because I'm always troublshooting.If anyone can shed some light on any/all of these topics, you would save me from slicing a wrist or two Thanks...

    Are you having rendering issues with other software or just with Adobe PS CS4?
    At the moment, I'm not really using any other programs which would call for any rendering. Videos seem to play fine, so other than PS, I'm not using any other programs.
    Did you update CS4 to 11.0.1?
    I just did, so I guess I have to play the waiting game now. The roll over issue I mentioned before is still giving me just a gray square roll over state. I don't know what (if anything) is supposed to show on roll over. What do you see when you roll over any of those buttons?
    Also you might want to update Directx. I know it has nothing to do with
    opengl but some posters in the past have reported that some things got
    better.
    I currently have version
    When I tried to update at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b -bc6a-9b6652cd92a3, and install, I would get this error Even though I meet the requirements for this update, something is not letting me. I even made sure my Cryptographic Services was enabled and started. When opening PS, there were times I would get an error something to the effect that PS had a problem with the display driver so something or another was disabled (which I'm thinking it was just not allowing open GL drawing (which was usually around the time I would notice that menu bar section I posted about previously).
    Also sometimes newer video card drivers are not the best drivers for a
    given application. Have you went back to a set of older drivers to see
    if that may cure the problem?
    I've rolled back my graphics driver. Will have to wait and see if that solved anything.
    As for
    the ruler problem some people, from what I have read, have the same or
    simular issue. There is a recent thread about 2 or 3 days ago that had
    a ruler problem and I don't think it was fixed.
    The recent thread was probably mine. I didn't mean to double post about that topic, but sometimes when just one person responds (and usually doesn't have anything helpful to say), others will just pass up that post. This issue is maddening, so maybe one day it will fix itself or I will move on.
    Thanks for your time, I will post back if anything else goes wrong - I mean "when" something else goes wrong.

  • Disappearing plot line when zoomed

    I am having a problem with my CNiGraph plot line disappearing when the axes min and max are explicitly defined and they are substantially smaller than they would be if the graph were autoscaled.  I am using measurement studio 8.6.1.465 and NiDaqmx 9.0.2 on windows XP.  I am controlling axis scale either by SetAutoScale() or SetMinMax().  My code is rather large, so I am including snippets of what I am doing below.
    I noticed a thread with a similar problem at:
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=232&message.id=3769&query.id=1275984#M3769
    Please help!  I have tried window invalidation, turning on/off immediate updates to the graph, setting axes visible/invisible, etc.
    -drew
    Setup code:
            CNiPlot plot = m_pGraph->GetPlots().Add();
            CNiCursor cursor = m_pGraph->GetCursors().Add();
            //cursor.SetSnapMode(CNiCursor:napPointsOnPlot);
            cursor.SetSnapMode(CNiCursor:napNearestPoint);
            cursor.SetVisible(true);
            cursor.SetPointStyle(CNiCursor:ointCross);
            cursor.SetCrosshairStyle(CNiCursor::CrosshairNone);
            cursor.SetColor(CNiColor(255,255,255));
            cursor.SetPlot(plot);
            CNiAxes axes = m_pGraph->GetAxes();
            CNiAxis xAxis, yAxis;
            xAxis = axes.Item(1);
            yAxis = axes.Item(2);
            yAxis.FormatString = ".##e";
            xAxis.FormatString = "hh:nn:ss";
            CNiColor lineColor(m_plotArray[i]->m_lineColor);
            plot.LineColor = lineColor;
            plot.XAxis.GetTicks().SetMajorGrid(true);
            plot.YAxis.GetTicks().SetMajorGrid(true);
            plot.XAxis.GetTicks().SetMajorGridColor(CNiColor(60,60,60));
            plot.YAxis.GetTicks().SetMajorGridColor(CNiColor(60,60,60));
        m_pGraph->ChartLength = m_graphLength;
        m_pGraph->ChartStyle = CNiGraph::ChartStrip;
        m_pGraph->SetImmediateUpdates(true);
    Graphing:
    CNiReal64Matrix newData;
    m_pGraph->GetPlots().Item(i+1).ChartXY(newData);
    m_pGraph->GetCursors().Item(i+1).SetPosition(newData(0,maxCol),
                                                                        newData(1,maxCol));
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I managed to fix this problem, noticing that panning the graph caused the line to redraw properly.  I added a very small amount of 'jitter' to the X axis each time after ChartXY is called. Since autoscale mode seems to refresh just fine, i only introduce jitter if the axis min/max is set explicitly:
    if (!m_pGraph->Axes.Item("XAxis").GetAutoScale()){
            static double plusMinus = 1.0;
            m_pGraph->Axes.Item("XAxis").SetMinMax(m_pGraph->Axes.Item("XAxis").GetMinimum()+(plusMinus*0.000000001),
                                                    m_pGraph->Axes.Item("XAxis").GetMaximum()+(plusMinus*0.000000001));
            plusMinus *= -1.0;
    It seems this is a bug in the graph control since there is no problem with the cursor drawing properly and I should not need to write code like this to keep my plot lines from disappearing?

  • Can I use xbootmgr to measure what causes a failure to present credentials screen after ctrl-alt-del?

    Hello,
    I have several machines that are producing the same issue that when a user reboots, they are greeted as usual with the "please press ctrl-alt-del to logon" screen.  When that key combination is hit, the info screen is gone, but the "User
    logon box" never appears.  By never, I mean it doesn't appear within 2-5 minutes, and the users tend to hard reboot their computers (generally leading to more problems).
    I've read that this can be caused by a variety of issues, such as DNS, cable, speed negotiation with the switch port, etc.  However, I am interested in learning if I can use xperfmgr to determine the issue.
    From my testing, the ETL is only written once a user logs on to the system.
    The invocation I used is as follows:
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Performance Toolkit\xbootmgr.exe" -trace boot -traceflags base+latency+dispatcher -stackwalk profile+cswitch+readythread -notraceflagsinfilename -postbootdelay 10 -nopopups -resultPath C:\Boot_Trace
    Is it possible to use xbootmgr to measure this situation?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi,
    Yes, this tool could to be used to record the boot information.
    Let's make clear something below.
    1. Could you see this screen after pressing "Ctrl+Alt+Delete":
    2. Did you mean that the password inbox disappear?
    3. Could you see above login screen when you start the computer normally?
    If all is Ok when you start computer, the xbootmgr.exe - trace boot is not applied.
    Meanwhile, go to  Clean Boot
    to see if there is some third-party software to troubleshoot.

  • I am measuring resistance changes using hp 4284A LCR meter. I want to monitor the changes continuously by drawing a graph.Can I?

    I am measuring resistance changes in chip using hp 4284A LCR meter. The LCR meter is connected to the PC through IEEE488. I am using Labview 6.1 and window 2000. I want to monitor the resistance changes continuously and get a XY graph about it (the X-axis should be time as a unit of second). It should be also saved as an excel file. Please help me to do this work. I appreciate any help.

    You might consider a chart, instead of an X-Y graph. You don't need to supply an x-axis array, if your samples are evenly spaced in time.
    A chart gradually (or rapidly) moves from right to left, with new values appearing on the right, and old values disappearing off the left side.
    This sort of thing is what LabVIEW was designed for. What specifically, are you having trouble with?

    I have checked both of these and all parts are fully installed

    Would a completely new installation with default settings
    clear the problem, what has coursed these tools to be not avalible.

    Hi Trevor
    You need to load on the Drivers for DAQmx, if you have a CD you can load them on from there otherwise the link to download NIDAQmx 8.3 is:
    http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/7feaee6a4b4aa836862571c00064e6ca
    There is a order in which you must load things on for everything to work correctly,
    LabVIEW --->> Modules & Toolkits --->> Drivers
    This should solve your issue

  • I have some trouble With the graph XY, if I display a curve and try to zoom on it, it may be corrupted, or may disappeared.

    In fact this happens on some computers. the graph XY causes some trouble when zooming. Sometimes, when I run my main program and open the window with the graph, it has change the displayed it overflows to the edge of the windows. Or somtimes it works but if I zoom the curves disappeared, or is corrupted.
    I have this for instance on a computer with win 98 and a ATI graphic board. So I try to update all drivers but noting has changed. I try to decrease the hardware acceleration, and it seems to happen less oftenly.
    Does anybody have seen that kind of trouble ?

    > I have some trouble With the graph XY, if I display a curve and try to
    > zoom on it, it may be corrupted, or may disappeared.
    >
    I think what you are describing is not due to video driver, but rather
    to the way the graph works. The LV graph maps points to integer screen
    coordinates and draws lines be tween those point. When the numbers are
    way to large to fit on the screen, the numbers are pinned to a special
    large value. When this happenson one axis but not the other, it causes
    the slope of the line to change and potentially not cross the screen.
    If this is the same effect I'm describing, it only takes place when you
    zoom into the data by a large extent, pushing the other points about ten
    to fifteen monitors away. At this point you are no longer
    looking at
    measured data, but rather just on the interpolation of a line between
    two points. The solution if you must have one is to resample your data
    on the diagram to contain more points.

  • New Smart Mailboxes Disappear (again & again)

    There are two smart mailboxes setup in the "Mail" application on my desktop Mac ("All Mail" & "Newspaper"). These mailboxes also exist on my laptop. On my desktop, I deleted the "Newspaper" mail box and created several new smart mailboxes. The next time I looked, the new mailboxes "self-deleted" and restored the "Newspaper" mailbox. I tried this several times with the same result. I then created a new smart mailbox on the laptop and deleted the "newspaper" mail box. Same thing happed; the new mailbox disappears and ther "newspaper" mailbox returns.
    I use use IMAP with my Gmail account and forward my "iCloud" mail to my Gmail account. The "Mail" setting is "checked" in my iCloud system settings (but not sure what impact that has on my setup).   I thought this setting may allow the smart mailboxes to synchronize between the Mac and possibly my iPhone. I am using OS X 10.9.3. I recently returned to mac "Mail" after several years of simply using the Gmail web interface on the Mac (plus iOS Mail) and am a bit unclear how the iCloud sync should work. I am pretty happy with the newer IMAP capabilities after using POP in the past.
    Any suggestions on how I can create (and keep) my smart mailboxes?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    WHAT DIDNT WORK for me:
    I have the problem, but I never had Docs & Data switched on, so Sheppard's solution does not apply for my case (there are no such files as mentioned there). Neither did Beda's move work for me. Causing fresh copies of the two files he mentioned to be created does bring back the Smart Mailbox category and a default Today smart mailbox, but putting the original files back in position, puts the problem back to square one -- no smartmailboxes appear.
    WHAT DID WORK for me:
    What I found worked was moving smartmailbox specifications from SmartMailboxes.plist into a clean SyncedSmartMailboxes.plist file.
    Steps: (This procedure requires something that enables you to open and edit plist files (e.g. Xcode). As always, keep safeties of everything before you mess around.)
    0) Before starting, check this file and confirm your smart mailbox specifications are actually still in there. If not, this won't work.
        ~/Library/Mail/V2/SmartMailboxes.plist
    1) Taking a tip from Beda, move the following files out and then launch Mail and quit it, to force creation of new copies of these files.
        ~/Library/Mail/V2/SmartMailboxesLocalProperties.plist
        ~/Library/Mail/V2/SyncedSmartMailboxes.plist
    2 ) Open the new SyncedMailboxes.plist. It contains a single item (a default Today smartmailbox specification). Delete that.
    3) Open your SmartMailboxes.plist. It contains a sublist called 'mailboxes' where all your smart mailbox specifications reside. Copy each of these items over to (the top level of) SyncedMailboxes.plist. You have to do this one at a time if you are using Xcode, because there is no multiple selection available.
    4) Save and close SyncedMailboxes.plist (and close any other plists for good measure).
    5) Launch Mail and your smart mailboxes should be back.
    Hope it works for you as it did for me.
