Disappearing white lines in standard table mode

I always work in Standard Table Mode -- today I somehow lost
the white lines that help me make sense of it.
Screenshot:
http://www.clicksharpmarketing.com/beta/file_stash/Picture2.png
So it is supposed to look like what you see in the
screenshot, but in actuality there are none of those lines. Did I
accidentally toggle something off?
Thanks
PB

Hi PB!
It sounds like you might be disable CSS layout lines. Open
your visual aid that is in the document tool bar (the icon with an
eye) and see if it’s anabled.
Cheers!

  • Data Disappears from Line Chart in Preview Mode

Help! Line chart data present in design mode, but disappears when in preview mode.  I have a dashboard that I update monthly.  Simple line charts.  Now, the line chart data is visible while in the design view, but does not show up when in the preview view or even when converting it to a PDF or Powerpoint.  SWF issue?  Inputs are needed!
    Thanks,
    Stan

    Hi Stan,
The answer to, why the data disappears in runtime mode, depends on how you retrieve the data in your dashboard.
It seems that you have some sample static data in your spreadsheet that shown in design mode. But chances are that this data is set to be overwritten in runtime mode, if you import your data using QAAWS, Live Office or similar.
I would suggest you to add a "spreadsheet table" component (found in the bottom of the Selectors category in the components browser) to your dashboard. Set the spreadsheet table to display some of the cells in the spreadsheet that you expect to get populated during runtime.
In this way you can verify if data is actually present in the relevant cells during runtime.
By the way - this is also a best practice method to test data-retrieval in Xcelsius.
    I hope this helps.
    Kind Regards,
    Simon

  • Change the thin white border in lights-out mode?

It'd be nice if you could get rid of this border, or change it to grey or something... I couldn't find any way to adjust this, nor (surprisingly) much mention of it in this forum. Anyway, I find the bright white quite distracting.

I've just started using Lightroom, and whilst in general I really love it, I wasted about an hour looking for the preference to get rid of this garish thick white line in lights out mode.
In principle, lights-out mode is a brilliant way to review a photo without the noise of the interface.
However, I didn't take a photo of an incandescent rectangle, so why is this what I see in lights out mode - especially with darker shots?
I'd be just as miffed if you lined the edge of my picture with little yellow plastic ducks.
It is actually more offputting than the user interface. In the normal view, pictures are shown with a subtle shadow on a neutral grey. Why not use this by default?
If we are not to be able to choose how the edge is treated in lights out mode, then surely it's best to do nothing. I.e. just show the picture, but it would be better still if you could both choose the background picture and even how the edge is distinguished. E.g. 'don't show edge', 'show edge with shadow', 'show edge with line whose colour is ->(pick)' etc.
The other thing which would be good is if, in 'lights out mode', the image actually covered the available screen, or at least there was an option to zoom it to make the best use of the pixels available.
I signed up to this forum just to put this message up. If anyone else out there is irritated by this line, please add a message. Surely this matters to other people too?
please please please please please! (Is this helping?)

i was editing vacation photos in aperture 3 all of a sudden the thumbnail disappeared and now all i have is a vertical white line and an orange flag... how do i get my photo back?  thanks

         Hi Frank.
I have just had jb Atlanta's problem while adjusting the contrast on a photo. I was creating a slideshow at the time. After a lot of reading up I was about to give up when I tried restoring the file to its original settings as you suggested. Bingo!
However, that would only work for me, if I restored the settings while in the slideshow. All data had 'disappeared' when I attempted to open the photo in its original project folder.
Hope this is of help. Many thanks.

  • White Lines in Tables

I don't seem to be able to get rid of white lines between
tables/cells on my websites. I have the borders set to "0" and no

the cells blend together. You can see an example on the top graphic

Not at all. Adding the cellspacing="0" will do the trick.

  • White lines in tables after conversion

    RH8 and Word 2007
I've just done my first successful printed document, and some of the tables (only some) come across with white lines above and below the text that's in them.  If I delete the text, the lines stay there.  I've tried everything in Word I can to get rid of them (these are single-cell tables that contain Tips and such, with shading and a single outside border), but nothing seems to work.  Could it have something to do with the way I'm formatting the tables in RH?  Like I said, it's only some tables, but sometimes I will copy one and paste it into another topic and change the text.  That's the only thing I do that I'm aware of that might be "unusual."
    Thanks!

  • White lines in table

I am new to using Dreamweaver and I was trying to make a
website composed of images. I created the template on Photosho CS2
and then I cut them into slices and I'm trying to make my website
    on Dreamweaver using tables.
I started out making 1 row and column and then I continued on
by splitting cells and making my website but it doesnt come out
right. I have these tiny white lines in between some rows and
columns. I tried squeezing them (moving all the rows and columns
together) but still nothing changes. Heres a screenshot of what my
    website looks like:
    http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/7653/untitled1fz7.jpg
Can someone please tell me what to do to get rid of those
white lines. Also I have checked the code and I don't see any
tags so it cant be that.

Remove all the height and widths from the cells, as the code
    shows below
and see if that helps. Its not a very stable stuture, thats
    why you are
encountering problems. By splitting and merging you are
    setting up
forces which are pushing and pulling the table out of shape.

  • White line disappears when I shrink the image

    Hi,
I am working in an image that has a drawing with thin white lines over a dark background.
When I shrink the image, the white lines disappear. I would like to know how to thicken the white lines, so that it doesn't disappear when I shrink it...
    Thank you,
    Robson

    Hi John,
The image is attached now. I want to make an icon out of it. The image of the icon that I have got so far is attached too. This icon was achieved programatically through C#, so I guess it is messing it, there is even a loss of color.
So I would like to do everything in Photoshop, to leave it ready to be an small bitmap with 24-bit color and all the white lines...

  • White Lines on Live Traced Artwork in PDF from Illustrator CS3

Hi,<br /><br />I've recently been using the Live Trace feature in Adobe Illustrator CS3 on my artwork so that my artwork becomes a vector image instead of a raster (I'm told it's better for Web because it works better with varying resolutions - doesn't become pixelated).  For my live trace, I use a custom preset:<br /><br />ADJUSTMENTS-<br />Mode: Color<br />Threshold: 128 (grayed out)<br />Palette: Automatic<br />Max Colors: 256<br />Output to Swatches: OFF<br />Blur: 0 px<br />Resample: 600 px<br />Fills: ON <grayed out><br />Strokes: OFF (grayed out)<br /><br />TRACE SETTINGS-<br />Max Stroke Weight: 10 px (grayed out)<br />Min Stroke Length: 20 px (grayed out)<br />Path Fitting: 1 px<br />Minimum Area: 1 px<br />Corner Angle: 1<br />Ignore White: OFF<br /><br />VIEW-<br />Raster: No Image<br />Vector Tracing Result<br /><br />The preview info, located under the dialogue bubble with the i states:<br />Paths: 4894<br />Anchors: (no number)<br />Colors: 148<br />Areas: 4822<br />Image PPI: 200<br /><br />I don't know if that helps anyone, but that's just the preset I've used to get a sharper, almost fully preserved vector version of my raster image.<br /><br />When I want to convert it to a PDF file using the File > Save As... > Save as type: PDF with the following preset:<br /><br />Adobe PDF Preset: Illustrator Default<br />Standard: None<br />Compatibility: Acrobat 8 (PDF 1.7)<br /><br />Then, my image as viewed in the Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional has several white lines, outlining areas of color.  You can see it here: <br /><br />http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Mont-ImmortalSquirrel/Ai-PDF_whitelines.jpg<br /><br />The image connected to this link was captured with PrntScrn and copied into Photoshop, cropped, and saved as a jpeg.  The issue is perfectly preserved, as you can see the white lines outlining areas of color.  This problem is persistent despite the zoom level in Acrobat 8.  <br /><br />Just another little bit of information, the problem is most noticeable in the red area and not the cream/white and yellow areas.  When I was working on the original raster image in Photoshop CS3, the cream/white area was done with the Ellipse Tool, using Bevel and Emboss in the Blending Options.  The same goes for the yellow area, which was done with the Line Tool.  The red area was done manually, with the Brush Tool, Smudge, Blur, Burn, etc.<br /><br />I'm telling you guys just about everything I've done leading up to this issue.  But, if there's something you need to know more, I'll try to figure out what I could've possibly done wrong to get this result.

I too get this result when using LiveTrace. My simple solution to this problem was to just place a solid color shape behind that section of the trace where it occurs that is the same color as the trace. Simple...but it worked.

  • White lines in Thumbnails

Since I went to iPhoto 6, when I import pictures I now get three white lines in my thumbnails. There's two white lines that run the width of the picture on the bottom third of the picture, the top line being a little more visible than the lower line. The third line is at the very bottom of the picture and only extends from about 2/3rd's across the picture from the right to the left. They appear to be some sort of alignment keys, and when I look at the picture in edit mode they are not there, so it doesn't seem to be a issue with the picture. But it annoys me when looking at the thumbnails, and I would prefer to not see them. I can't find anything in preferences or anywhere else to turn them off. If I bring up edit and use the alignment slider the lines disappear from the thumbnails when I save the changes.
    Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    Dear Toad,
Thanks for responding. You are my iPhoto guru.
My problem is with scanned images, but RR also has the white lines when he imports from a CF card (I don't). I have a somewhat old Epson Perfection 2450 Photo, and use Image Capture, as Epson never updated the drivers for OS X. Image Capture gives me only three options for import, TIFF, JPG, or PNG. I import as JPG, usually at 600 dpi.
If I do a minor edit, even if I do not save it, the lines disappear from the thumbnail. I can tell which images I haven't edited yet, because the thumbnails all have white lines on them.
And if I edit (and make the lines disappear), then export the photo and then reimport, the lines do not reappear.
There are a few photos on which the lines will not go away at all, no matter what I do. I have tried exporting them--they still have lines. I have tried reimporting the original jpg--the lines reappear, and persist despite manipulation. These are only about 1% of the total. If I rescan the original, the problem seems to go away.
The lines are present at all magnifications except the largest, when they disappear, and then come back as I decrease magnification.
    Any ideas?

  • Cursor arrow gone from solid black to having white lines go through it and trackpad is not working properly in mail and adobe acrobat - anyone know how this could have happened and how to solve it?

Can anyone help me?  Concerned that I may have some kind of malware.  My cursor arrow and trackpad are behaving strangely,  The cursor used to be a solid black arrow but now seems to have horizontal white lines running through it.  The trackpad does not function normally either.  For example, when I use my trackpad to scroll up and down in mail  it sometimes works and sometimes does not.  In adobe acrobat it sometimes does not work.  In facebook, the cursor does not line up behind the menu keys as it should.
Any one know how this might have happened and how I can stop it?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • How do I read this "standard" table in my Function Module?

I have a remote-enable Function Module (RFC).  I am receiving two tables as part of the parameters.  Table "A" is header information, and Table "B" is detail information.  So for every 1 "A" header record, I may have 1 to many "B" detail records.  I have a field we'll call "vendor_number" that is the common link between the two tables.
Here's what I want to do:  I want to loop through table "A", and for each record, I want to do a READ on table "B", using the "ref_doc_no" from "A" as my key, to get the position of the first matching record.  I hold onto the value of the table index and then start looping table "B", adding 1 to the saved table index each time to process all of the detail records.
Here's the problem:  This worked great as an ABAP program.  I had my "B" table declared with "ref_doc_no" as a non-unique key.  But when I ported my code over to the RFC, it told me that the RFC could only deal with standard tables.  I had to remove the "ref_doc_no" key declaration.  So now when I try to activate, I get an error similar to this:
The declaration for the key field "another_field" is incomplete; however, "another_field" is contained in the key of table "B" and must be filled.
I don't understand that.  I've not declared any keys for table "B".  I don't understand why it's thinking I need to populate "another_field" (I don't even know what the value would be).  My code to read the table (i.e. the line getting the error) is this:
Priming read on table (sets the initial sy-tabix index value)
        READ TABLE it_incoming_invoice_line_item "table 'B'
          WITH TABLE KEY ref_doc_no =
                         wa_incoming_invoice_header-ref_doc_no
                    INTO wa_incoming_invoice_line_item.
Is it possible for me to do some sort of direct read on a table in an RFC?  The only alternative I can think of would be to have to loop through table "B" until I find the first occurrence of a match.  Is that what I need to do?
Thanks everyone.  Points, as always, awarded for helpful answers.

    Dave,
    1. You can fire SELECTS in an RFC as well, but in your case the data exists in SYSTEM A and the RFC is in System B, so you can't do that. You can fire SELECTS on tables in the same system.
    2. Quick example of two table loops - EKKO (HEADER) EKPO (ITEM).
    LOOP AT EKKO.
LOOP AT EKPO WHERE EBELN = EKKO-EBELN.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDLOOP.
I hope this is clear now.

    Ravi
