Admittedly, that IS a strange case. Unfortunately, it sounds like all possible troubleshooting has been done by the tech support agents. you mentioned that you were dissatisfied with your other service, did it have a similar problem? theres a possibility of dirty fiber or a bad ONT port, but the random rebooting of the router would almost exclusively be a bad router. question: is the router in the same location as before?

I bought my iPhone from Verizon and having their service.  Does my iphone has a default SIM PIN?

The 4G LTE SIM card in your device contains information about your plan, device and more. You can set a SIM PIN so others won’t be able to access that information if your SIM card is removed from your device.
If you remove your SIM card and insert it another device (e.g., when you upgrade to a new device), you’ll be asked for the SIM card PIN. You can find your SIM card PIN in My Verizon if you’ve forgotten it. Or, if you’ve entered your SIM card PIN unsuccessfully 3 times, you’ll need the PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) to unlock your SIM card again. After using the PUK, you’ll need to create a new PIN for your SIM card if you want to secure it again.
To locate the SIM PIN / PUK numbers for your 4G LTE SIM card:
Navigate to the Overview page in My Verizon.
Click My PIN and Unblocking Key (PUK) under About My Device.
Your default PIN and PUK will be displayed in a pop-up window.
Click Close when you’re finished to return to the My Verizon Overview page.
You’ve successfully located your SIM PIN and PUK.

  • Severely disappointed with Verizon and the Revolution

More of a rant than anything.  Just severely disappointed with Verizon.  We have been customers for about 16years, have 4 cell phones and the cell based home phone with them.  On this last upgrade, we went with some refurb. Revolutions as Verizon was/is pushing their refurb products.  One phone began acting up after about 3 months, the other at about the 6 month mark.
Verizon's solution to lock up and several other various software related issues that happen continually is, you guessed it, Hard Factory Reset.  When I complain that is very tough since I have many downloads (some come back after reset, some don't) and all my e-mail accounts from home and work have to be redone all the time, AND each time I do a factory reset, it adds a mirror image of my phone contacts, so each person is listed 4-5 times now.  The good thing I guess is that I now have a hobby in my free time.....sitting around deleting duplicate contacts......
I called and simply asked to be able to upgrade to another phone at the discounted price, and would have another 2 year contract.  DID NOT WANT A REFUND, just wanted to "fast forward" the calendar a year.  Their response was a flat NO.  They would offer to replace the phone, but only after I went through three more levels of customer no-service hell.  Apparently the minions that answer the phone have no authority to help a customer, they make you do the hard reset and then if that does not work, they transfer you to some kid somewhere who puts you thru the paces and then you still have nothing.
This last time they were asking me at what specific times the phone was acting up, like at exactly what time did you NOT get the call you are claiming was made.  At what exact time did that call refuse to go through that you claim to have made.  At what exact time did you e-mail start acting up.  Where exactly were you at.  What a pain in the butt.  I have tried to work with them, they did give me a phone number and "incident #" but there was no help there either.
I guess I will use the remainder f my contracted time with them and look or a new carrier.  Since we can PORT numbers now, they can't hold any of my numbers hostage.  If a VZW person monitors this, our $200.00 plus a month account can still be saved...just want a little help here.....

You make the appointment. And here it is 9PM and no one has shown. No call. No apologies. Nothing. No complaint department. No Complaint number. NOTHING. You'll probably get rid of this thread because it is taking up too much space. But Verizon, you USE to be a decent company. I sang your praises to everyone and swore by you. But lately, all I do is swear at you. You outsource your calls on the weekend and they screw up their orders and I have been screwed ever since. Sure, things are fine now. But I had to re-work my schedule for you and you sent numerous messages that you were showing. And NOTHING. This is not a way to run a business. This is not a way to treat a customer who pays their bills and has been a long time customer with you. My friend recently asked me about you and I said, oh yeah. Great, never had a problem, works with you.Now I think you've gotten too big for your own good. You can't provide quality service anymore. I've told her to forget about it and stay with someone else. Someone who provides SERVICE and not empty promises.

  • Wow, what is up with Verizon and their customer service?

This company is becoming a joke.  Customer Service use to be decent years ago but they are going downhill, fast. First thing, the late release on the Note 4? Why? Second... Why are they taking the headphones out of the Note 4? For the price we pay we should get what is included in the box.  Third... Two day shipping on preorders, not overnight especially when they are releasing a week late.  Fourth, I call CS before I preordered the Note 4 and was told I couldn't preorder it until the 23rd,  a few days went by until I found out that wasn't true. If I don't get mine by the 25th because it ends up getting backordered I'll be furious.  If any other carrier had service at my house I would already be with them.

You know Ann there are other people out there who do things differently than you do...  I for one use earphones with my phone all the time, when im exercising, working, mowing the lawn, etc.  and in my experience  those that come with the phone tend to be of very nice quality.

  • Why can't I change caregivers or contacts on my GizmoPal without completely resetting the device?  Accessing from an iphone 6.  Have tried Verizon and LG customer service with no help or resolution.

I have an iphone 6.  Recently purchased a gizmo pal for my son.  Set up was easy.  Works great.  However, I want to be able to change caregivers when I leave him with someone so that they can call him and he can call them.  The only way to do this is to reset the entire device.  Shouldn't be that way ... seems that you should be able to click on the caregiver and change it.  Anyone else have this problem or a resolution?  Verizon and LG have both been unsuccessful in helping.

        Weinmaster5,
I understand your concern and definitely want to help! Have you tried adding the additional caregiver this way http://vz.to/1zE7nMX?

  • Disappointed in Verizon...willing to lose a customer

I called a week ago to ask Verizon for some help.  My husband and I just bought our first home.  We checked Verizon's map of coverage, and it said our new house was in a good coverage area.  The day we signed papers on the house, I came over to clean and was disappointed to learn that I cannot make or receive calls in or outside the house.  The day was very windy so I hoped it was just a weather-related issue.  However, this was not the case.  We quickly learned that there is one spot in the kitchen where you can make a call and one bedroom (but you have to be seated in the center of it).  I called Verizon to ask for some help.  The first woman I spoke to said that it showed I was in a good coverage area, and they would probably just send me a free network extender.  However, she said, I had to put in a trouble ticket first.  I then spoke to an extremely helpful man who tried to push an update through to help us - that didn't work.  He took our information and said he would put a trouble ticket through.  He said that it should take about 7 days, but they typically hear back in two.  Seven days later, frustrated from having dropped calls all day when trying to call the doctor, I called Verizon.  They informed me that the ticket had been resolved - strange, because no one told me this.  The rep that I spoke to was extremely nice yet again, but explained to me that since my house is in a coverage area known for issues, then, they could only offer me a network extender for $150 or waive our fees to leave Verizon.  My first thought was that if this is a known coverage area with issues, why does their map say it is a good coverage area.  My second thought was why should I have to pay for something to make Verizon's coverage better.  I already pay a $140 per month for two phones.  Additionally, why should I have to pay for a device that is going to use my internet service that I pay for through another company?  With that said, I love Verizon.  I have been a customer for over 10 years.  I do not want to leave.  So, I offered the rep to waive the fee of the extender and I would stay with Verizon.  It seemed fair to me.  The cost of the extender would far outweigh them losing the cancellation fees of me leaving as well as my monthly bill going forward.  The rep checked with his manager, and I was informed that they could not do that.  He said that he would note that my cancellation fee could be waived when I leave.  I was shocked!  How could Verizon be okay with losing a loyal customer?  I am so disappointed in Verizon, and now I have to leave them when I don't even want to.

I am very disappointed at Verizon.  I am very very angry right now.  I called their customer service about getting a second line on my account and asked them if they had a return policy or if the device is lost or stolen would I be liable.  Both customer service reps that I spoke to on the phone both said that I would be able to stop the service as long as it was within the 14 days of purchase.  The only money I would not get back would be the money that I would have paid for the telephone, the activation fee and that is ALL.  I was going to take the risk and do this and ofcourse we would have to purchase the insurance.  But I even had the second customer service rep verify with her supervisor that if the phone was lost or stolen that we could stop the service and would not be responsible for anything more and the two year activation would be stopped.  She put me on hold and verified it and came back and said that I was correct and that that was true.  So I told her then I will go ahead and go to a verizon store and purchase a phone.  When I got there, I was told that it was NOT true.  I asked them to open the conversation from customer service and they did and he saw it, but the supervisor at the store would not let me see it.. as if it is a BIG secret.  If they can't be honest about it in the beginning then imagine how they are going to screw you in the end.  I finally had to walk out and I am so so so disappointed.  I want to cancel my existing service, but they have everyone by the balls... and they now it.  Something has got to change... Government, NOW it's time to get involved.  Anyone with me... say HEY!

  • Phone Dropping calls and disappointed in Verizon

Very disappointed in Verizon Wirelessly. Over the past year my phone has continuously dropped calls. It's getting worse and worse. I went from have decent service  3 years ago to only being able to talk in my bedroom and kitchen over the past year. over the past six months I had to start going outside and now that's become a problem. Even in the town I live there are now many dead spots. 90 percent of my calls drop a day. at times phone won't even ring Some calls and text don't even come through until hours later. People are thinking that I am ducking thief calls, and I'm tired of explaining the situation to them. To make matters worse I have contacting Verizon several times over the past year only to be given the run around. I've been promised help but nothing. some were supposed to call me back with a solution but nothing. I was told a tech was coming, never saw them. I was told to buy a network extender almost 300.00 dollars, but why should I have to pay for this when I'm alrwady paying you every month. I tired of giving Verizon the benefit of the doubt, but I'm close to leaving them and taking many in my community with me, cause im not the only one suffering. Verizon step it up and give me what you promised "the most reliable service in America"
oh and yes I have powered off phone, reset phone, replaced phones 3 times. I've done it all. So once and for all please HELP!!

  • Frustrated with Verizon and their inconsistent Customer Service

I am so frustrated with Verizon and their Customer Care/Service.  I have never been told so many different things.  It seems that there is no consistency with what they tell customers.  I called and explained to them that I have been with them for over 20 years that we were looking to save on our monthly bill. They said that with my employee discount, and they checked to see if I qualified for other discounts, I didn't and they lady could have cared less to help.   My Verizon/employee discount is changing (decreasing in percentage saved), Sprint and AT&T offer a higher discount with my employer.   I spoke to Sprint and AT&T and they offer not only better discount, they are cheaper (and AT&T coverage is better here where I live, versus very broken up where I live when it comes to Verizon).   Anyway, I called back and spoke to a Rep. named Kayla who was more than happy to keep us at Verizon.  I questioned the Edge plan, and that none of our 5 lines where up to where I could get it.  I asked her if she could speak to someone and make an exception.  She did and said that was not a problem that since we had been loyal customers for over 20 years, I could do the Early Edge on all 5 lines, that she could go ahead and place an order for 5 new phones of what we wanted - and that when I received them, then I would have to send Verizon back the 5 phones that we currently have.  I thought great.  I'd be saving atleast some money going this route.  I told her that I wasn't sure which phones we wanted that I would find out and call back.  I did the online chat later because I had a question, and that Rep told me - No, that wasn't going be happening at all that I was misinformed.   This is not the first time that this has happened with Verizon.  A rep in a store told me if I bought this Verizon tablet ($99 with a $99 mail in rebate - Free, I liked that - then he said if I did that, he could save us $20 per month on  what we were currently paying per month).    Well, low and behold - I got an extra line - a tablet that I had no use for (he got me at the whole "I'll lower your bill $20 per month".  I fell for it, and it didn't save me one penny.   In the meantime, I put Sprint and AT&T to the test - I spoke with each of them about 3 different times each and got the same answer each time from both of the providers.  Customer Care/Service and consistency and not misleading customers is what is selling me.   I will gladly spend my $3,400/year elsewhere - and save money in the process.   Anyone else have similar experiences???

Early Edge works by having you turn in the phone on the line that is early edge upgraded.  You then start paying for the full cost of that phone over 24 months, sooner once you get to 75% paid off on that phone, where you can trade it in and start again on another phone, but you will have lost the money already paid up to 75%.  When you trade in the phone for Early Edge and then trade in the new phone for edging up, the phones must be in perfect working order with no damage of any kind.
The money "saved" comes from being on Edge where, if the phone is on a plan with 6GB or more data, you save $25 per month on each Edge phone, $15 if on a plan with less than 6GB.  However, you turn around and put that $25 back onto the phone payment each month, so you DO save $25/$15 but you basically break about even on a 6GB and greater plan after the phone cost.
BUT, in the end, if you get a better, more reliable signal from ATT, and you have an awful signal with VZW, you might consider a switch, but you'd have a large sum of ETFs at this point to cancel all 5 lines.  There are also special stipulations as to who and when one can Edge up or start Early Edge, such as 6 months straight on-time payments.
Verizon Edge FAQs | Verizon Wireless
Early Edge is basically just starting the Edge plan early, so the above page should answer a lot of the questions regarding eligibility. Be warned however, that there are a lot of people with issues who decided to take advantage of this program, namely the trade-in process of sending old phones back and then finding charges on their bill for phones that were "not" received at the warehouse.
It is my opinion that you should not go this route, because if you have less than stellar service now, you are setting yourself up for possible frustration and another 2 years of disappointment.

  • LEAVING VERIZON - Lack of Customer Service Knowledge and Waste of my time

My son who has his own Verizon account for a year, and was a sub my account from when he was  15, went in on his account and some how was linked to our account.  He was moving and requested a change in service, which changed ours, not his  and it is a mess.  Our service was disconnected, we were given a new phone number and our old number( for 17 years) has been disconnected, our bundle with Directv has been disconnected and I paid through Verizon and now Directv says I am past due!  I call about 6 times, now help just a run around.  I have wasted so much of my time and it has been an inconvience to me and our son son as he had to come out 2 times for a installer to connect his internet and wait for over 2 weeks to get it porcessed.  I am done and over Verizon.  Customer service you call, can't help and only redirect me to other depts.

  • Very disappointed in Verizon Wireless customer service

I have been a Verizon customer for about 10 years.  The customer service is now the worst it has ever been.  I have an upgrade due and i wish to bill my account.  They say I cannot because my account was past due ONE time in the past six months. Past due for probably around 10 days.  They say this is the reason why.  When I point out to them that this is not their policy they do not care,  they refuse to let me bill it.  Their policy on their own FAQ clearly states:
What determines if I’m eligible for the bill to account option?
The following requirements are used to determine bill to account eligibility:
You must have a standard monthly account* for at least six months.
The maximum amount that can be billed to an account per bill cycle is $400, and the transaction can’t exceed this limit for your current bill cycle.
Note: The limit includes pending and recent transactions billed to your account by phone, online or in-store during your current bill cycle, For example, if you purchased a $100 item in-store and billed it to your account earlier in your bill cycle, your online bill to account transaction can’t exceed $300.
Your account must maintain a good payment history. (YES)
The account can’t have been interrupted for non-payment within the last six months. (IT HAS NOT BEEN)
The account can’t be more than $24.99 past due. (IT IS NOT)
The account must be permitted to make payments online. (IT IS)
Your account can’t currently have a security deposit. (I DO NOT)
The phones on your account can’t be interrupted for suspected fraudulent activity. (NOPE)
You must be the Account Owner or an Account Manager in My Verizon and process your transaction from the Upgrade Device page.
No where does it state what they have told me.  I have a good payment history, I have not been interrupted, I owe no money.  As far as
I am concerned I qualify just fine but they refuse.
At this point its the princible of it, Would I like to upgrade?  Sure!  But I wont, just based on the fact that I should be able to bill
it to my account and they refuse.
My contract is up in November,  I will cancel and i will go to another carrier because basically the customer service and their
refusal to abide by their policy and correct this has completely turned me off.

The good payment history, as Ann154 states, means payment on time monthly. Instead of voiding a customer's "good payment history" for a late payment six years ago, for example, they instead limit it to the past six months. And the six months to wait for good payment history to be restored begins on the day the late payment was made. The policy might not suit what you want, but VZW is adhering to the guidelines with every customer. Telephone agents aren't able to change bill to account status, either.

  • How do i get in touch with Verizon when I'm out of the country?I am in Ecuador and cannot get in touch with Verizon to end my service!

  • Horrible Customer Service from Verizon and Anytime Assurian Insurance is a SCAM

I am posting this so everyone is aware how horrible the customer service has become at Verizon and the insurance replacement coverage offered.  Please read and BEWARE before purchasing this extended coverage as Verizon will NOT work with you!!
We have two phone lines and a tablet with service through Verizon and pad the anytime additional insurance through Verizon which is supposed to cover standard insurance PLUS extend the manufacturer warranty.  If the defect is due to manufacturer defect, then the replacement is supposed to be covered without a deductible.
So now, the recap of the horrible experience we have been through .....
My husband has an Iphone 4s that had the power button on the top of the phone fail.  The button does not press on/off correctly.  He contacted Verizon and they put him through to the diagnostic time to approve or deny the replacement under the extended warranty.  He contacted the tech and described the problem.  The tech advised him to check all of the water indicators on the phone.  The top one for the headset jack is slightly pink and the other indicators are completely white.  The tech advised him they could send him a replacement phone and then he would send in his old phone for evaluation and he would know in about 6 weeks if he would be charged a deductible.  He then spoke with Kiera (sp??) who advised him to have the phone checked by Apple Genius Bar.
He took the phone to Apple.  They advised the phone is in great condition and that if he had purchased the extended Apple Care instead of Verizon's Assurian Insurance they would cover it with no deductible.  The stated the reason the phone was not functioning was clearly related to a manufacturer defect and wrote on their assessment paper they gave him that the phone is in great condition.  They stated by indicated that water damage is indicated by all three indicators being tripped -- NOT just the top one.  The rep then walked outside with my husband and said it's raining so Verizon would now void the warranty part and make him pay a deductible since Verizon is being nit picky.
We then went to the local Verizon store.  The rep and the store manager looked at the phone and stated the top is tripped so the insurance department will call it water damage and not honor the manufacturer defect.  I stated that it seemed like they were finding a loophole out of the insurance coverage for the extended warranty part and making the customer pay a deductible.  The  manager then stated "other carriers would screw you the same way."  REALLY -- THAT'S THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WE PAY INSURANCE FOR???!!!!!????
So, we called and spoke with a really nice customer service rep (Suzette) who stated unfortunately it was not her department but that she would send a message to have Kiera call us back.  That was a week ago and NO CALL BACK FROM KIERA.  Again, this is the customer service we pay for???
So, we called today and spoke with another rep and a manager.  The manager again stated we could send in the phone and it's 50/50 if they will charge the deductible.  She stated Apple should honor even though he is outside Apple Care if it is their defect.  I asked isn't that what we pay them for??  She stated they will look at the indicator and call it water because she Googled it --- apparantly Google knows more than the Apple Genius Bar on their own product!  I even offered to fax the paperwork from Apple.  My husband offered to send them the phone and have them evaluate it before they send out the replacement so he's not taking a risk on paying the deductible.  I asked the manager to email me her contact info.  She indicated she would ... 2 hours later, no email.
So, my husband that is up for an early upgrade but wants to wait until he's eligible for the Edge program (in which he would pay unsubsidized prices for phones to upgrade early -- and give them more money for phones) is stuck with having to decide to continue to use his prior phone that works or risk having to pay $200 for a deductible because they have stated they will look at the indicator and even if it's unrelated, call it water damage.
We are seriously looking at cancelling our coverage and just going to another carrier.  Because in the end, phones and service are similar, so you really pay for the customer service you get.  Or in this case, the lack of follow up, loopholes in their program, and lack of customer service.  I am thoroughly disgusted that I have paid Verizon for their service for 10+ years and have always paid for insurance without ever having to use it before --- and this is what we get.

It's not really a loop hole.. if the indicator is pink what do you want verizon to do? Google it, a lot of people on all carriers have been charged for returning a phone with just one indicator showing water damage with iphones.. This is what insurance is for, you pay a deducible instead of full retail. I think you are hung up on thinking the apple rep didn't lie to you, it's easy to say whatever you want when you know you won't be held accountable for it. I mean verizon is a service provider, maybe you should buy your phones from manufacturers if you think you get a better deal
Have you tried to reset the phone via itunes? Not likely a software issue, but i've seen stranger things with iphones.

  • Is I Cloud and I Tunes service available to Verizon users?

AT & T is so hopelessly bad that I am feeling like I have no choice but to go to another carrier, is I Cloud, I Tunes, etc., available to subscribers of Verizon or Sprint?

Of course. iTunes and iCloud are services provided by Apple and what carrier you use is totally irrelevant.

  • What is the number for Verizon Wireless  Corporate Customer Service Complaint for CA

My Complaint:  I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for approx 20 years.  I called customer service to seek an early upgrade for my daughter's phone. She is away in college and her phone is malfunctioning.  She is eligible for an upgrade in approx 6 weeks so I did not want to spend the money on a replacement phone when since we were planning on updating to something newer.  The customer service rep to me they could not do the early upgrade an to call back in a few weeks. After explaining this was unacceptable (I do not like the idea of a young female being out of state and away from home with no reliable means of communication), she places me on hold to later return with the only offer of  I must purchase a new device through her ( over the phone) which will be shipped to me, the phone was priced $100.00 more than the online price (they will not price match), plus i must pay $30.00 upgrade fee, $35.00 activation fee and taxes on the retail price of the phone.  I am upset and disappointed with the quality of service provided by Verizon being a 20 year customer.  If not for the seriousness and urgency of this matter, i would not have asked for an early upgrade.  It is times such as these that you get to see how much of a "valued customer" you really are.   I guess you are valued as long as you pay your bill and continually  purchase their products.  I would like to speak with someone from Verizon's corporate or customer relations department.  As of now I am really considering changing my service to a different provider.  I have multiple accounts with Verizon and i will canx each after the current contract committment expire (starting with my daughter's phone which expires in 6 weeks) In the meantime I will go purchase her a new phone with someone else and take comfort knowing she will have reliable communication.

I started with them in 1985. It has been wonderful service but very expensive. They seem to operate on day of deposit day of withdrawal. That means that I have no benefits nothing beyond the normal customer if I don't pay my bill they shut me off. That's why I have switch to another provider and I have better service lower cost and better phones. you can't beat  other providers I mean it. Please don't expect more from verizon other than a "pay me more money and I'll do what you want" because it's all about money. Read the transcripts from current Verizon employees all over the internet. The company is going down and they're taking customers with them.

I am writing in to give one final try at gaining a positive response from Verizon.  I called in to talk to Customer Service today with a request and was really disappointed at getting a NO for a response.   I have a family plan with 4 phones of varying contract/upgrade dates.  Mine…6/10/15. Wife’s…5/29/14.  Mom’s…6/20/13.   Son…4/11/16.  Two of the phones are past their date and thus we can upgrade without additional fees.   I will be disconnecting my mom’s phone as she hasn’t used it since 8/6 and won’t be using it as she is moving into a Memory Care facility for Alzhiemers.   Thus my request was whether there was a way to upgrade my phone and my wifes phone to the iPhone 6 without having to pay an added fee for upgrading mine early.   I asked that they take into account that my mom’s is 16 months past her upgrade date, I am 9 months from mine and we are very very long term customers. Verizon has been our cell phone company ever since we bought cell phones a long time ago.  I was told NO.    I then told the service rep that if I have to wait until 6/10/15, I have no real reason to stay with Verizon as saying no to this request just makes no sense when it is being ask by a customer of such long standing.  I was told NO again.  Even though I am clearly not a customer that hops from one cell phone service provider to another...Verizon told me NO.  Even if it costs a bit more to switch to AT & T (which it may or may not...I don't know)…on 6/11/15 my wife and I will be leaving Verizon and my son can have an individual account.

You sign a contract promising to a 2 yr service commitment in exchange for a substantial discount on a phone. You are 9 months from completing your commitment. There is no reason for Verizon to grant your request. In fact, they may be contractually obligated to NOT do so depending on their terms for selling the iPhone negotiated with Apple.
In the past, Verizon has been lenient(by a month or 2 but never 9 months) with approving an early upgrade, but NEVER with an iPhone. The reason for this has been hinted at being because of the contract terms Verizon has with Apple. Verizon is not going to jeopardize their ability to have iPhones on their network to satisfy your demand.
Currently, there is a limited time offer to upgrade early with Verizon if you are eligible to get a discounted upgrade by 11/15/2014. Unfortunately you fall outside of that window.
Good luck with the new provider, you will be unlikely to ever get an early upgrade at another provider either.
