Disappointment on my last purchase on the Online Store

Dear Apple team,
First, I would prefer sending email to express my disappointment rather than posting here but I couldn't find a link to do that, And I know that's a number to call for support but I didn't do so. The reason will be explained in the following story.
Here's the story, I have make my orders on an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB at HKD7188 on 13Jan. At the time of purchase, my credit card acount has been held the exact amount of limit which is normal and nothing wrong based on my previous experience buying online. I received a shippment notification email afterwards and being told that my product should be delivered on 26 Jan.
On that day I did not receive my shippment, instead, I received a call from Apple saying that they experience problem charging my credit card account  and the shippment was held at the DHL office in Hong Kong. I contacted my bank to see if there's any problem.
It turned out my credit limit hadn't been released by Apple and they charged me again on the day of shippment.
So, I confirmed with Apple team calling their support line 800 908 988 using Cantonese line. However, I have waited for 15mins and tried twice (total 30mins) and I can't get to the customer service team.
I decided to use English line instead and I can immediately speak to one with strange accent. I admit that my English is not that good, but thanks god, we were able to communicate. However, the problem wasn't solved as I received the same call from Apple saying that they can't charge me.
I contacted back and forth a few times and all I received was - "Sir, Do you have another card? Or can you contact your bank to expand the limit? If not, your product may come after 1 month (waiting for de-frozen the held limit and there may be charge from DHL for holding the product for so long)"
So I express my confusion to them, Should I have double the available limit in order to purchase one single iPhone? This is non-sense to me.
How the story ends?
I made compromise because I don't want to wait for a month to get that. I still can't believe I need HKD14376 available limit to get that HKD7188 iPhone. And RIGHT NOW, my credit hasn't been released and this posed a great threat on my financial planning (I was planning to get a new Mac in the coming month but I seriously don't know if that happens again) !!!!
The Apple team still didin't fix this. I do require them to complement this including an official apology but they just called and said "SIR, your shippment will be deliver today" AND that's it!?
It should be
- deliver three days ago
- my credit card account limit won't be held
- I wouldn't have written this
This is really a bad experience with the Online store which I never have experienced with the previous purchase.
Here's my conclusion
1. Don't hold the limit and charge without releasing it. Thar's non-sense!
2. Can I email to Apple Support? Calling them with Cantonese just can't get the man/madam but English with strange accent I can't hear clearly
3, I am really satisfied with all the Apple prodcuts I owned but the suppport team can do way better than that

    Hello Apple and the iTunes Windows PC users community.
    I am trying to sync films that I have converted from purchased DVD to mp4 format locally, not purchases from the online store. The mp4s all appear and play successfully in my iTunes application but will not sync across to the iPod film library folder.
    For your information: I am using iTunes 11.1.3.8 on a Windows 7 64bit machine with 500GB hard disk and 8GB of Ram in the UK.
    I have restored the iPod classic 160GB three times now to see if it was a hardware problem with no joy. Each time all the music restores properly as do the podcasts and all the items in TV programmes all appear to sync and work fine.
    I have also tried to copy films into the TV Programmes to get around it with no joy. They always go to the films section to start with. It is just the Films library that does not sync - all others work perfectly. As a last resort I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes with no joy either.
    I am technically savvy and have gone through the itunes and ipod settings but nothing appears to make a difference - This is the first time I have had to post here as I can usually solve the majority of the ipod anomilies but this one has me flummoxed.
    Has the film encoding type changed in the newest itunes update? - Has this happened to anybody else and is it a hardware, software, or operating system problem.

    Having uninstalled the current version 11.1.3.8 and loaded and older version of iTunes 10.7.0.21 I can now categorically confirm that the newest update seems to be causing the problem as the films and TV Programmes are syncing perfectly on this older version.
    If you are going to do this please dont forget to remove the  ' iTunes Library.itl' file as this stops the older versions from running as I've just found out

    After the last update of itunes I seem to have lost all the music that I had downloaded from my Cds. It was a lot of music! All I still have is the music that I had purchased in the itunes store. And before you asked. No, I did not have a backup. Never got around to do it.
    Does anyone of you have an idea if and how I can maybe get my music back?

    Hi - I seem to have a similar problem. I was prompted to update to iPhoto 11 yesterday (don't know why yesterday, I'm in iPhoto all the time). So I followed the instructions, library updated, all existing events and albums are there. I uploaded some more pictures and created a few new albums and did some new year spring cleaning, moving stuff around etc. And I started making a calendar.
    I've opened it up today, my calendar is still there as are all the new events, but the pictures are empty outlines. If I open up a picture I just get the "!" but I can still see the thumbnails showing in the slider in the bottom - I don't know if that means the source files must still be there somewhere, or if it just means it captured thumbnails yesterday.
    I've gone into it via "show package contents" and there just don't seem to be any masters for an upload yesterday. I also just had a look in the last import folder, because of a comment from someone above. As I scrolled down through the folder the images were there and literally disappeared in front of me - by which I mean, the thumbnails were there as I scrolled down and then would turn into empty outlines...!
    All my old folders are still there, thankfully (although they're of course the ones that are also all safely back up).
    Although I have a timecapsule, my photo library is too big to keep on my hard drive, so I keep it on an external drive - so it only gets backed up when I do it manually (thanks Apple for that, I will never understand why it was designed to work - or not work - that way). So if the pictures have been lost then they are gone for good which is super-frustrating (I just got back from South Korea and was in the middle of sorting out all my shots from that trip).  It seems that this can only have happened because of the update - I should have known better than to have pressed yes.
    If you have any ideas, I'd be most grateful!

    Again, the iPhone warranty is NOT international. And, if I may offer unsolicited advice, buying from ebay is always risky. Most sellers are less then honest when it comes to iPhones. They might state that the iPhone is unlocked when it is not; it might not be really unlocked or might be hacked/jailbroken.
    My advice to you is to buy in the country you intend to use the phone and buy it from a legitimate source such as Apple or an authorized reseller.

    I am going through the same process! It is a nightmare doing anything with adobe. They make it as difficult as possible to get a refund and keep asking me if i want anothe program instead of a refund. They are making me jump through all kinds of hoops to get the refund and refuse to call me. They have ZERO customer service and the only reason they stay in business is because they have no real competitors. It's a shame, but I suggest you reprot them to the Better Business Bureau. I did.

    If you made your purchase from the online Apple Store, did you create an account? If so you can sign into your account and view the purchases that you have made in the recent past. Unfortunately, the information retained by Apple and available for your viewing only covers the last 18 months.
    If you made the ourchase with a bank card, oerhaps you can loctae that information in your bank card records and with that information Apple may be able to locate the purchase for you. Call 1-800-MY-APPLE in the US when you have located the bank information for the purchase.

    I am considering purchasing the Nokia 7390 from the online store, but had a couple of queries.
    Firstly, will the phone be unlocked to any network? Sorry if this seems a stupid question, but I just wanted to make sure.
    And secondly, I am currently on the o2 network. If I purchase a phone from the nokia online store, will I be able to still access my o2 internet service? Or will I need to put some o2 software or something on the phone first?

    Yes to both questions. You will be able to use the phone with any network. But you will need to get various settings from whichever operator you are using. In O2's case, there is a "get settings" option on the SIM card, or you may even be prompted automatically.

  • Why can't I purchase on the app store?

    I have an early 2008 Macbook Pro that I had purchased the Snow Leopard for through the app store. I just paid the 20.00 bucks and downloaded it without any issues. I have now given the computer to my brother and in order to have all of my stuff erased and it set up under his apple id and such I had to reboot the system using the startup discs that came with the computer originally. No issues there, I was able to do it but I want to upgrade it now to Yosemite but of course it has to be an OS X system no later than 10.6.8 which is Snow Leopard. I understand that I have to pay for it again and that is not an issue BUT now I have to order it and wait for it to come as is appears to not be available on the Apple app store anymore.... does anyone know if I am missing something? Its saying that it wont arrive until Jan 5 and I was hoping to have all of this done before Christmas so I am super bummed....

    You needed Snow Leopard to get to anything higher. So, yes, that disc must be bouncing in a drawer somewhere.
    If you can't find the SL disc, you could try to download the installer for whatever you did buy online for $20 (Lion? ML?) on your new Mac, then use that installer to upgrade the old Mac. I don't know whether that procedure will work--you may still need SL on the old Mac to upgrade to something higher--but it's worth a shot.
    First, on the new Mac, go to the App Store and check your Purchases. See if you can find a link for the previously purchased Lion or ML. But because the purchase may be tied to the serial number or some other unique machine identifier of the old Mac, perhaps you won't find the old purchase. (I don't know. I haven't been down this road.) However, if the purchases are tied instead to your Apple ID, then you might reasonably expect to see these old purchases in the App Store on the new machine. If so, follow the instructions that you find on the net (for instance, http://osxdaily.com/2013/11/01/re-download-os-x-mavericks-installer-mac-app-stor e/ or http://osxdaily.com/2014/02/24/re-download-older-os-x-version-from-mac-app-store /) for downloading but not installing the Lion/ML installer on the new machine and then transferring that installer to the old machine.

    In 2010, I had downloaded the Trial verion of Aperture 3. I decided to buy it digitally and paid the $99.00 (at that time.) I still have the email from Apple confirming the purchase of the Aperture 3 Trial Upgrade. It worked fine and had all the necessary updates until last weekend. Friday I sufferd a hard drive failure and lost everything. Should have backed up stuff!! So now I am trying to get the program back, but since it was purchased before the App Store, it isn't on file for download. The Apple website doesn't support the trial download any longer. It refers me back to the Mac App Store where it is expecting me to pay for it. I sent a support email asking Apple, but they just confirmed that it wasn't available on the Mac App Store. Thanks. Any suggestions?

    Bare with me...I need to explain the situation first.
    I purchased an external harddrive and with the help of phone support, I moved some(most) of my itunes stuff to that hard drive. However, when I sync my iphone, it occasionally says something like..."did not sync song because it could not be found".
    When I typed in the finder thing at the top right corner of my screen (spotlight?), I searched for itunes media. I found one file but it doesn't show me it's location. So I started looking (I'm still new to this) but I think I found 2 itunes media folders...1 on my imac harddrive and the other in my external harddrive.
    After reading some of the online posts regarding downloads, I discovered that it is possible to redownload something you purchased before and NOT be billed again. I know that when I download an app in my iphone and then delete it, if I go to download it again, it tells me i already downloaded it and can download it again for free...so no problems there.
    However, my interest is to greatly reduce the amount of "stuff" I have in my external harddrive as well as my internal harddrive. But before going into my external harddrive and deleting all 8 seasons of 24...which is something like 250gigs, I wanted to test the theory. So I looked for something cheap that I downloaded. I would then delete that and then go into the itunes store to redownload it again.
    One thing I also want to mention, I read that there should be a purchased tab in my itunes store. Either I don't have it, or don't know where to look. One other thing I read is that it might be not available to me based on where I live. I live in Toronto, Ontario.
    Back to what I did. I deleted an episode of Wallace and Gromit (kids show). Then went in itunes to download the same episode. When I checked my account information...it shows that I was just charged for that download...AGAIN! Now granted it was only $2.99...apparently this doesn't need to be the case.
    So...going back to the 2 itunes media folders. I checked my system preferences and saw that itunes was set to save downloads here.../users/"my name"/music/itunes/itunesmedia.   This folder is on my imac. However, the Wallace and Gromit video was on my external. So when I deleted it, I removed it from my external drive.
    So here's what I have done so far...I went into the system preferences and proceeded to change the path to my external harddrive.
    Now...before I go and delete something else...am I doing things correctly?
    Also...what should the path be in itunes? I suspect it should be to my imac so that anything I download, downloads successfully to my internal harddrive...and then I drag and drop into my external...
    I also want to mention that I have a time capsule as well. So basically...I want to keep my imac and time capsule free of as much media as possible...My computer and timecapsule each have 1 TB and I nearly maxed them out...I take alot of home videos with an HD camera...I had no idea how much that would add up.

    I have somewhat of a similar problem. After iTunes last update, I am missing some of my purchased files of music,ringtones, and TV shows. Possibly movies, but just thought of that and did not look yet. Seems everytime there is an iTunes update, something happens, but usually an easy fix by just deleting music files from CD's that I loaded onto iTunes and no longer recognized after an update and reload from the hard drive. This time I do not have a current back up of all the music, ringtones, and tv shows I have purchased.
    So I am also wondering how can I redownload purchases without being charged when there is no file left on the hard drive. It just stays listed in iTunes though.

    Yes I'm using Logic Studio on Lion right now. It all works fine in full 64bit Kernal and application mode. Although, none of my 3rd part plugins work. And my Novation 25SL MKII only works as a midi keyboard, its automap software does not work in Lion(yet).
    I was also going to purchase Komplet 7 and NI Maschine this weekend. But could not, as niether work in Lion yet either.
    So, if I was you, I would stick to Snow Leopard, until all the other software, hardwar and plugins are brought up to date to support Lion in 64bit mode.
