DISASTER!  Lost a .java file after a Project Rebuild

Is there a way to get it back?  It was the Component.java file.  When I open the component and go to "Implement" it says the file is gone.
Is this file stored in the ear file that's uploaded to the server?  How can I retrieve my last deployed application?
Thanks
Andrew

Hi,
The latest deployed project and its corresponding files you can get it from
C:\Documents and Settings\youraccount\Documents\SAP\workspace\yourproject
( in case after few chnges if you say rebuild project older project will be modified with latest changes.My suggestion you can have timely back up in to onther workspace i mean another directory/folder so that you can retrive/import your older projects to NWDS).
Apart from this i am not finding any other solution
Hope it helped you

    Hi Friends, i have some questions related....

      is possible have only 1 file with these utilities functions? (if yes how to declare or use in all projects?)

    There is a  common approach to this problem which is a dependency repository. Various build tools address the dependency resolution problem. Most common are maven and greadle. Place your Jar file on a location you can reach from your various developement environments (eg. a share on a server in your network) Then configure your build tool to know about your repository.
    A better solution that a naked net share is a nexus server, which will not only hanlde dependencies you namually placed on your share but also dependencies available on public repositories.
    In your project you simply declare the (direct) dependencies of the Code you're writing. For maven you need an aditional file in your project: the pom.xml. maven (or greadle) will handle all the transient dependencies for you (as long as the pom.xml of the dependency also declares its own dependencies and those other dependencies are reachable for maven too).

  • XMP metadata lost from PNG files after saveing

    Hello,
    i am using Photosop CS3 SDK. through my plug-in I put some metadata in the file using XMP SDK 4.4.2.
    For PNG files, if the file is modified and saved, all the XMP metadata is lost from the file.
    The following steps are being done.
    1. Put some metadata in PNG file using SXMPMeta::SetProperty and SXMPMeta::AppendArrayItem
    2. modify the file (changed brightness, contrast, flattened the image).
    3. Save this file.
    After saving all the xmp metadata is lost from the PNG file. This works for all other formats.
    What can be wrong that I am doing?
    Is there any other way to put XMP metadata in file?
    Thanks,
    Hitesh

    That's probably because PNG doesn't save or read XMP metadata.
    There really aren't standards for metadata in PNG. (though a few products have tried adding it in ad-hoc ways, without documenting their efforts)

    It would be helpful if you would exactly tell us what error message you get instead of just saying "I can't compile or run anything anymore".

  • Lost some Note files after upgrade to iOS 5

    After I finally succeeded updating to iOS 5, I found some of my Note files are missing
    My update failed the fisrt time with "Unable to restore iPhone" error. I rebooted my Mac and tried the update again. It went the again the "Prepare...", "Sync for restore" again and this time the update worked. But I lost many Note files.
    I wish the backup process is more trouble proof, maybe entirely separate for the update step in which I can for certain save the content of my iPhone.  Then after the update, restore the backup.

    Already tried re-syncing and rebooting both devices with no apparent effect.

    can anyone help with retrieving My Library in Itunes and Itunes store - having updated Itunes and Icloud on 24 September 13, my computer failed and I lost all my files which were eventually backed up to an Emergency Backup.  my computer is now working again and I have down loaded Itunes and transferred all the files from my Emergency Backup.  Non of the music went back into Itunes, so I had to find these files and manually moved them to Itunes.  The music is now in Itunes, but I no longer have the folder named My Library, which I think is the reason my Ipad, ipod no longer sync any additional music I have added to Itunes. Does anyone know how to rectify this please.
    Many thanks.  Crusey

    iTunes expects files and folders to be in very specific locations.  When you start iTunes it looks for a file called library.itl which is in the iTunes folder.  It then uses all the references in that file which tell it where all your media files are located to build up the view you normally see.  Probably you moved the library file so iTunes cannot find it and it will make a default one which is empty.  When you plug in your iPod it isn't recognizing the library since it is not the same one to which you synced last.
    Simply put, you need to undo all your file moves.  Not as eaily done as stated but since I cannot quite see from here exactly what you spent an hour doing last night it will be up to you.  Did you make a backup before doing all this?

  • Lost metadata in file after attempt to Save RAW As JPG in PS CS3

    Someone in other place in this Forum advised me that this will be probably more appropriate place to ask these questions, so I will give it a go. Below is a copy of my post on PS Windows thread (well, two posts really edited into one):
    Hi,
    I have just found out that after I open RAW pictures from my Canon 5D (but same happens with pictures from Canon 10D) in PS and than try to save them as JPGs, I loose majority of my metadata from the files (after right click on filename in. I can still Windows Explorer and clicking Properties or simply adding additional columns in Win XP Windows Explorer detailed view.
    So same picture, without any editing at all, just opened as RAW file (which it is a CR2 or CRW file in Canons), and then saved as JPG, suddenly does not show the date of picture taken, focal length or exposure time are all gone. Does not matter if I try Properties in Win Explorer or say Properties in MS Office Picture Manager.
    Was trying to look for any setting in PS that would set the ability to save or abandon saving of this type of information in JPG file but could not find anything of this kind.
    What is interesting I went back to my pictures I have saved from RAW to JPG using same PS years ago, and I this was not a problem. Everything was saving OK.
    So in summary:
    1. This would not be a problem related to camera (it is unlikely that same problem would occur on two different models at the same time - even though both are Canons)
    2. It must be a way to force the Photoshop to do that, I f I was able to do it successfully, almost without knowing, before.
    Therefore, I would think that either:
    1. There is some set of defaults somewhere in PS that I have accidently turned off causing my PS not to save this metadata properly or in full, or
    2. That it came as some kind of bug with some of the updates to PS CS3 that I was getting over last year from Adobe.
    Has any one else encountered similar problem? If yes, what did you do to resolve this issue?
    I will be very grateful for any help, as I am not a frequent user of Adobe Photoshop and may just not be very familiar with the part that regulates that type of issues.
    And I do not use the Save for Web option.
    I just used (in PS CS3 running on Win XP Professional with SP3) the Save As from File menu.
    What is also strange is that if I use File - Open command and get the first window with Open dialog box, where you have some basic options for opening/converting RAW format pictures (this window does not come up when I open JPG files) and I use existing there button to Save (which does not actually allow to do any editing of the picture before such way of saving) all Camera Properties, or that metadata, is actually saved into the newly created JPG quite correctly.
    However if I use button Open in that conversion dialog box, and than save already opened RAW file as JPG, the majority of that data is gone (date picture taken, exposure time, aperture, focal length, exposure compensation steps etc).
    I can see that RAW file has all this in the sections called EXIF and XMP (under File - File Information) but Save As does not add this info in the JPG files for some reason.

    No, not really, because I ma not sure what it is for.

  • Error opening Project 2007 file after using project 2010

    This is the second time I'm experiencing this problem.
    Created a file (say Rev 1) in Project 2007 at work and took it home and updated it using Project 2010. When I finished updating using Project 2010, I saved the file in Project 2007 format. Came to work the next day, opened the file using
    Project 2007 and did a "Save As" so that I have another revision of the file (Rev 2).
    After updating Rev 2 in Project 2007 I closed it but when I came to work the next day I couldn't open Rev 2 file again either in Project 2007 or 2010. This has happened to me with 2 different files.

  • Deploying the java files from main project

    haii..
    i am using netbeans5.5 ...i started do all my programs in a single project...all these are small small programs using Jframes and all..now i want to run this programs separately from the IDE..like from the cmdline...so i go to tat netbeans installtn folder src and i find my programs there all the files are there in .java and .form etn...and wen i tried to compile the .java alone it gives me lot of errors ....
    what can i do ...plz help me

    If you use NetBeans you can extract the .class files
    and then get source from the .class files.Not necessarily. Presumably, then, Netbeans comes with a decompiler. All well and good, but of course what gets spat out of a decompiler is not necessarily what was compiled in the first place. How much that matters depends very much on why you want to see the source, of course, of course

  • HELP I seem to have lost all my files after turning on Filevault

    Hey all,
    im completly new to all things Mac, everything has been great so far but now i seem to have lost everything.
    I turned on Filevault protection then shutdown my Macbook, came back to it a couple of hours later and now all of my files, itunes music files have gone, all of the settings and preferences seem to be back to the factory settings, and well everything has dissapeared?!! any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks.

    I have no idea how Apple would handle this. I would hope they would tell you to go into an Apple store and have someone there look at it and fix it. That would be very good advice. Trying to fix a problem like this over the phone would be really hard.
    Clearly, your system is no longer mounting your sparseimage file the way it should. The good part of this is that your files are still relatively safe inside that sparseimage. I would not try to turn filevault on or off again. That could be dangerous. Your goal now is backup.
    In the terminal, you can type "open /Users/.stuartcampbell/stuartcampbell.sparseimage" to mount that disk image as a new volume. Hopefully, you can log in as "stuart campbell" and do this. That would be really good. If you can, log in as "stuart campbell", open that disk image, and copy all the files you find into a new folder named "saved files" under the "/Users/Shared" folder. You want to get your files out of that sparseimage and into the real file system.
    Once you get your files out, you can try to turn filevault off again. My hunch is that FileVault is already off. I think your system has created a new home directory for you named "stuart campbell1" because the old one was corrupted. If this is so, you can safely copy all your files from the sparse image into this new account, overwriting anything you already have. (Just make real sure that your current home directory really is just blank data!!!). At this point, you should be running again, with your home directory being named "stuart campbell1".
    If all this is true, try the following. Rename that old "/Users/stuart campbell" folder to /Users/stuart campbell.old". You can run NetInfo, go into "Users", and change your home directory back to "stuart campbell". Then, before doing anything else, rename "stuart campbell1" back to "stuart campbell". Save your NetInfo changes, quit, logout, cross your fingers, and log back in.
    I realize this is very complicated and more than you really want to do. I don't see any way around it. It is very difficult to know exactly what state your system is in and exactly what is going to work and what won't. A trip to the Apple Store or a similar place might be a good idea. I say might because there is no guarantee they can fix it either. There are still way too many steps that say "If this works" and "try this".
    There are some key things to remember and do in any case. Try to open that disk image and get your files out.
    Don't fiddle with any account security settings until your files are out of there.
    Once your data is secure (or rather - in a safe place), you can feel free to fiddle with account settings and swap out those directories to get back to a good state. I can assure you that it will take a bit of fiddling and may not work at all. Just get your files out there and we can get you up to speed again after that.

  • Java File I/O project

    Ok so im taking intermediate java and I remember nil from intro to java. I've got to make a program that reads a text file (the file was provided by the professor), then Ive got to use the stingtokenizer method to break the the file into pieces (using , as the delimiter). Then I have to output to the screen and to a file each student and their information (the file is a list of students and their classes). Theres actually a little more than that but right now thats all im concerned with...got to take it one step at a time.
    Right now Im building the read method for my class which should find the file, read the file, and then tokenize it. This is what Ive got so far, but I dont know what to put as a return value I need help understanding the concept of what Im doing.
    package homework1;
    * @author Joseph Weaver
    import java.util.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Inforetrieval {
        public String ReadFile()throws IOException {
            BufferedReader input = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("students.txt"));
            String studentinfo;
            while ((studentinfo = input.readLine()) != null) {
                StringTokenizer line = new StringTokenizer(studentinfo);
                while (line.hasMoreTokens()) {
                    System.out.println(line.nextToken());
            input.close();
            return;
    }

    Does your tokenizer work the way you want it to? It looks like you've got printing to the screen, so you're concerned with writing to a file?
    First of all you need to know what exactly you're going to write to a file. Since you're reading from a file it would probably make sense that the files your program generates (writes to) will be formatted differently. One file per student? Figure out or decide what you want to write to a file.
    Next, you need to decide what your method ReadFile() should do. It looks like its doing several perhaps unrelated things - not only is it reading a file, but it's also tokenizing the file and printing to the screen. Would you expect a method named ReadFile() to do all that?
    I suggest breaking your logic into several methods. Your methods should perform only one thing. Once you've separated your logic into several small methods, it should be clear what their return values should be.
    Once you've done this, you could take the results from the tokenize method and pass them on to a method that will print the tokens to the screen and and to a method that will write the tokens to a file.
    As you said, there's more to the assignment but this is the part you're working on now. If you divide the logic into methods as suggested, later on if you need to tokenize something or write something to a file, you'll have already written methods to do that.
    Or, you could put everything into the main() class and get the assignment done quickly.

  • I lost my Indesign files after deinstalling, any way to get them back?

    I deinstalled Indesign this morning and it removed everything, including the files I had created. What the hell? Did it just move them somewhere else? Are they lost? I put more then 3 weeks of work in there. Thankful for a quick and helpful answer!!!

    Uninstalling the application will not delete your files.
    They should be whereever you saved them.
